Selena Gomez is back in the studio, and the timing couldn't be more perfect -- 'cause, as of this week, Ariana Grande's more relevant ... on Instagram, anyway.

Selena was seen leaving a recording studio in L.A. Tuesday night, and ya gotta imagine she hopped into the booth and laid down some tracks. It's been more than 3 years since she released a solo album, even if she's been featured here and there with folks like Cardi B.

Funny enough ... as Selena was in that studio, AG surpassed her fellow pop star in IG followers to become the most followed woman, if only barely. On Tuesday, Ariana reportedly hit 146,286,173 compared to Selena's 146,267,801. Both ladies got nothin' on Cristiano Ronaldo, though ... who's sitting pretty at 156M-plus followers.

Speaking of Ariana, she was seen leaving a rehearsal Tuesday in Calabasas as she prepares to head out on tour. Followers or not ... the hustle never seems to stop in this biz.

Not to compare these talented ladies, but they've simply had a much different past couple years ... although neither has escaped hardship.

Selena received mental health treatment last year after having an emotional breakdown. She also had a major surgery in 2017 for a kidney transplant. As for Ari, she lost her ex-BF, Mac Miller, to an accidental overdose, and split with her fiance, Pete Davidson.

Here's hoping Selena's got new tunes on the horizon. It'd be great to hear her over the airwaves again.

Jermaine Jones might've been on to something when he said David Charvet banged his wife and ruined their relationship, 'cause now there's photos that seem to back him up.

The former "Baywatch" star was spotted at a restaurant in Malibu Saturday night with J.J.'s estranged wife, Sarah, following close behind. It looks like a classic date night situation, even though there are no immediate signs of intimacy in these pics.

Still, the shots could give credence to Jermaine's public accusations of David being a homewrecker and sleeping with Sarah a few months ago ... depending on who you ask.

It all might be moot, though. David got a temporary restraining order against Jermaine after claiming the U.S. soccer star threatened him with violence. Sarah got a TRO against her soon-to-be ex-hubby as well, claiming he was stalking and harassing her.

She also filed for divorce from Jermaine last month, so it's clear the door is closing on their marriage. An outing like this doesn't bode well for any type of reconciliation either.

George Clooney and Amal just made the United Nations gala in New York one helluva lot sexier, and George's dashing date is definitely making his parents proud.

We don't see George and Amal out too often, and she's looking totally stunning in this blue and white dress. If you ask us, she could probably bring about world peace with one hair flip.

George is looking handsome as hell too ... and his mother, Nina Bruce Warren, looks like she's having a grand ole time. But, how could you not? Nina's rolling up with her dapper movie star son and his smoking hot wife.

And, don't forget about Nick Clooney, the cute old man in the tux helping Amal make her grand entrance. Way to go, mom and dad, we can totally see where George gets his good looks.

Argento initially denied ever having a sexual relationship with Bennett, but text messages and a photo obtained by TMZ debunked her claim. Her lawyer says she wasn't lying though, insisting that a one-time encounter doesn't amount to a relationship.
