Los Angeles local Amy Smart was in her early 20s when she blasted her way into the entertainment biz back in 2000 with some top-notch breakout roles including the college hottie Beth -- who gets involved in a wild night of partying, sex and camcorders -- in the 2000 college comedy "Road Trip."

Around that same time, Smart had some other epic acting gigs including James Van Der Beek's girlfriend Jules Harbor in the football film "Varsity Blues" and her classic character Ruby on the television drama "Felicity."

Matthew McConaughey has a head full of hair ... and in return, he's become a walking billboard for the company that helped him achieve his full mane ... a Co. that says he helped their biz during a dire time.

ICYMI ... Matt recently shut down rumors that a hair transplant was the culprit of his incredible hair transformation. Instead, he said that Regenix's daily hair ointment saved him. Well, we talked to the folks at the company, and they say it is actually Matt who saved their business.

Bill Edwards, CEO of Regenix tells TMZ ... McConaughey has been a customer of the hair ointment brand since 1999. It wasn't until he gave the company a shoutout on the 'Late Show' in 2001 that it began to see a huge uptick of customers from all over the world.

The 'McConaughey effect' increased demand to where the company had to initiate a new mail-order program for potential International clients. Under this new program, folks send hair samples in, and Regenix designs a tailored plan to regrow hair.

So, when the pandemic hit in 2020, Regnix's brick and mortar clinic in L.A. was forced to shut down ... and the company decided to go all-in on expanding their existing mail-order program. In return, Bill says they didn't lose a single customer.

Bill says, Matt helped the hair treatment company on multiple fronts -- getting more customers and giving them a new way to withstand the Covid-19 business doom.

Neyo White went viral after a trip to a Georgia spa turned into a trip from hell ... and now he says he's taking legal action.

In the video, Neyo details what went down Feb 17 ... and how he ended up with burns all over his face after going to a Buckhead spa for a chemical peel. He also makes two things clear -- this isn't a stunt for clout, and he absolutely plans to sue.

Neyo says he had gone to the spa before, to get other facial procedures, to help with discoloration and evenness ... but he wanted to try something a little stronger, so he went in for a chemical peel.

Neyo says he felt burning during the process, but the woman doing the peel assured him that everything was fine. Well, things were not fine ... and 4 days later he ended up with burns and a completely discolored face.

It looks pretty painful, to say the least ... but luckily, we're told he is slowly recovering.

As far as the folks at the spa, Neyo says they haven't responded to him and have denied his Cash App request for a refund on the chemical peel ... so, now he plans to take matters into his own hands.

Neyo plans to sue for his legal bills, medical fees, and Uber payments for his hospital trips. He also wants to be refunded for the $150 chemical peel.

Matthew McConaughey is taking offense to a surgeon who claimed to have restored Matt's luscious locks via hair transplant ... the actor says it's all a big, fat lie!

Matt fully acknowledges in the '90s he had to shave his head because his hair was getting super thin. Something happened, because when he grew his hair back his mane was enviable.

Matt insists it was NOT the result of surgery. He says he was able to grow his hair back in full force by rubbing topical ointment on his head ... every day.

“I was fully committed, I was fully committed to it — no Propecia, no nothing, it was just manual labor", Matt says in his memoir, "Greenlight.." In fact, he says he's been using the ointment for 20 years.

Mr. McConaughey is ticked off at a Los Angeles surgeon who's taking credit for the hair restoration, claiming Matt went under the knife.

As you can see, the change is quite remarkable. So much so, Mathew reveals ... one surgeon, in particular, noticed and took credit for it.

There were lots of stories that Matt got a transplant, and when he bumped into a different doctor he did a quick once over and agreed with Matt ... he never had a transplant.

Kylie Jenner is back in action -- checking out real estate -- just three weeks after giving birth to her second child ... and she's got her mom right by her side.

TMZ broke the story, Wolf's middle name is an ode to his famous pops ... Travis' real name is Jacques Webster. Interestingly enough, Kylie's middle name is Kristen -- after her mom -- the middle name shout-outs continue.

We're still waiting on the first full pics of Wolf. In announcing his birth, Kylie posted a pic of Stormi holding her baby brother's hand, but all we see is his hand.

The first Victoria's Secret model with Down's syndrome is on a roll, because we've learned she's just signed another huge deal with a major beauty company, and she's especially happy she's becoming an inspiration for others who face similar challenges.

Sofia Jirau just shared the news with us -- she's entered into a partnership with L'Oréal Caribe in Puerto Rico!!!

Sofia tells us she'll model and promote 4 products for the brand -- makeup, hair, fragrances and skincare. She'll work with both her team and the team over at L'Oreal to work on brand strategy and the best way for her to push the products.

The partnership makes a lot of sense, Sofia says she loves hair, makeup, taking photos ... and the rollout will also happen on her social media pages.

Sofia says, "I feel happy and proud for me and for all the girls around the world that now can dream without limits."

Sofia has certainly had a big week ... Victoria's Secret announced Wednesday that she was their first model with Down's syndrome as part of the more inclusive "The VS Collective."

Gold medal-winning figure skater Tara Lipinski's good looks have been on ice for over two decades!

Hazel-E is getting some tough love, and through her tears, the 'Love & Hip Hop' star is vowing she's done with cosmetic surgery ... after 2 other procedures nearly turned deadly.

Hazel opened up about feeling pressure to "snapback" to pre-pregnancy fitness when she went on the "It's Tricky with Raquel Harper" podcast. She even named names, saying her goal was to recover like Teyana Taylor famously did after she had kids.

Now, she's admitting the surgeries -- including liposuction and BBLs -- got out of hand. Here's the thing ... Raquel and Hazel are friends, but Raq didn't hold back in strongly suggesting she lay off the procedures.

Actually, the wording was pretty blunt -- telling Hazel to quit "f**king herself up."

The clip is raw, and Hazel's reaction to the friendly advice gets pretty emotional. In the end, though, she swears off going under the knife again ... with just a couple of exceptions.

The language here definitely isn't for kiddos, but it's real AF.

Linda Evangelista's through with laying low after she was allegedly left disfigured by a cosmetic procedure -- she's back in the public eye while her lawsuit proceeds.

The OG supermodel was out and about Wednesday in NYC, and although she was wearing a face mask and a puffy winter coat ... it was a big step for her, following her horrifying claims a fat-freezing procedure has "permanently deformed" her.

As we reported, Linda filed a lawsuit last September, alleging CoolSculpting "brutally disfigured" her in several places. She says she noticed bulges growing in the very areas she'd wanted to shrink when she decided to have the procedure.

She's intentionally avoided the spotlight since then, but now she tells People, "I'm not going to hide anymore. I hope I can shed myself of some of the shame and help other people who are in the same situation as me ... That's my goal."

Linda says a doctor diagnosed her with Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia -- a rare side effect of the procedure, which many have called an alternative to liposuction.

Kat Von D had a frightening night Saturday -- and frightening is a gross understatement -- an intruder was wandering around her house as she and her son slept.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Kat was sound asleep at around 10:15 PM when something awakened her ... she saw a beam of light moving about the house.

Kat took her 3-year-old, dashed out and 911 was called. Police came with sirens blaring and searched the house ... and what they found was shocking.

A man in his 30's was upstairs, just walking around. It's unclear if he knows it was Kat's house or what his intentions were. He told cops he was buying the house and needed to use the bathroom.

Police took the guy into custody ... he was booked for residential burglary.

As for how he got in ... he jumped a fence. It's unclear if he came in through an open door or window, but there were no signs of forced entry.

Lizzo apparently has a new song in the works -- and the way she's letting us know about it is by stripping down ... and baring it all.

The singer posted both a video as well as a photo of what seems to have been a recent shoot she took part in ... one for which she appears to have been fully nude. In the clip, you see Lizzo seated and working it for the camera -- this as a snippet of what sounds like a forthcoming track plays as the main audio.

It actually sounds pretty damn good -- almost Whitney Houston-esque in the vocals department, if we're being honest. Of course, everyone knows Lizzo can sing ... but this is a bit of a revelation here, because she's belting out a killer tune ... and it's all her, no music.

The brief lyrics go ... "If you love me, you love all of me // Or none of me at all." Good stuff!

The accompanying caption reads, "You dont get to pick and choose. We should be unconditionally loving of one another, starting with being unconditionally loving to ourselves."

She adds, "Take a moment today and think about the conditions we hold so tightly to that keep us from the freedom of true love. Do you really wanna be so tightly wound? Free yourself in love. You deserve it."

Of course, Lizzo is no stranger to expressing self-love -- it's a huge part of who she is as an artist, and she often shows off her body to hit that point home ... including just hours before she posted this clip, where she posed in a 2-piece bikini at the pool with some friends.

That's not to say she hasn't struggled with her body image -- she certainly has, and has grappled with it publicly as well. In the end, though, it seems Lizzo loves everything about herself ... turning heads in the process.
