Kim Kardashian's influence can be a huge asset in rolling out transformative changes to L.A.'s criminal justice system ... so says new D.A. George Gascon, who's ready to work with her.

The freshly sworn-in L.A. County District Attorney says he and Kim share a lot of the same viewpoints about prison reform, and he believes her reach will be vital to spread their message ... especially to young people.

Gascon tells us he respects the commitment Kim's demonstrated to changing the system, and he wants her help in fully re-imagining it for the better.

On that note ... Gascon's already taken major steps to get the ball rolling, which is why Kim shouted him out in the first place and grabbed his attention.

During his first days on the job, he called for ending the death penalty -- something very important to Kim -- eliminating cash bail for non-violent crimes ... and ordering a cease of prosecuting first-time offenders for misdemeanors.

Gascon explains why he feels these changes are so important, and will lead L.A. away from defaulting to putting people behind bars -- and instead aim to help and rehabilitate them.

Kim Kardashian could have the new Los Angeles County D.A.'s ear when it comes to how to go about achieving prison reform, because the guy wants a face-to-face with her.

Max Szabo, a rep for George Gascon -- who was just elected as the new D.A. -- tells TMZ ... the County's top prosecutor is interested in meeting with Kim after she shouted him out on social media this week.

Kim wrote ... "Los Angeles County is the largest jail system in the country, and its home to the largest jurisdiction in the state. These changes out of the DA’s office are the change we’ve been waiting for, and I hope they have a ripple effect across the country."

She added, "More people will see the justice they deserve soon. @GeorgeGascon"

Welp, Kim's message was not lost on Gascon ... he reposted her comments on his Instagram story, writing, "Thank you @kimkardashian. We need all hands on deck."

Turns out, Gascon wasn't just blowing smoke ... we're told he's now eager to chat with the Princess of Prison Reform and talk ideas ... because they seem to share a lot of the same values, and he respects the work she's done.

Gascon also wants to talk about the death penalty -- which Gascon is firmly against ... as is Kim, which we've seen through her advocacy in the past. Remember, she helped lobby for a stay of execution for Rodney Reed not too long ago -- and was even with the guy on death row when word came down that his execution was stayed.

Isaac Wright Jr. -- who was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to life in prison -- is now running for Mayor of NYC, and says he'd welcome Kim Kardashian's counsel in overhauling the city's justice system.

Isaac joined "TMZ Live" Tuesday and said there's no question about it ... Kim K's platform and her influential power would be a huge boost, not only for his campaign ... but for his goals if he wins next year's election.

His incredible life up to this point is already famous -- wrongfully convicted on drug charges in 1991, Isaac was sentenced to life in prison ... but studied as a paralegal while inside and proved his innocence in 1996. His story is the inspiration for the 50 Cent produced show, "For Life" on ABC.

Kim K and Wright are kinda on the same team already ... fighting for criminal justice reform and prisoner's rights. Isaac helped overturn 20 wrongful convictions, along with his own, just as Kim's successfully helped several inmates get clemency or overturned convictions.

Isaac acknowledges Kim's not only getting it done due to her celebrity -- he says she gets in the trenches ... and says that's the kind of people he wants working with him once he's elected.

Scary moment for NBA star DeMar DeRozan ... who chased an intruder out of his L.A.-area home after a terrifying encounter with his kids, TMZ Sports has learned.

Our sources tell us ... the man broke into DeRozan's home on Nov. 19 and made his way upstairs into a play area where at least one of DeMar's kids was hanging out.

We're told 31-year-old DeRozan -- who's 6'6", 220 pounds -- heard the commotion and raced to the area to see what was going on, coming "face-to-face" with the intruder in the process.

Our sources say DeRozan then "chased the man out of his house."

Law enforcement sources tell us the man fled the area -- before returning to DeRozan's gated community a short time later.

When the alleged intruder attempted to get back in to the gated community, security stopped him and called police.

According to our sources, the suspect told cops DeRozan's home was not his intended target -- he was trying to get to Kylie Jenner's home but made a mistake.

As we previously reported, the man was eventually arrested and has been charged with 1 count of felony burglary.

He's also been hit with a restraining order -- prohibiting him from getting anywhere close to DeMar's home and Kylie's home.

DeMar's not the first celeb to have issues with home security in a gated community, you'll remember a man scaled the hill behind Kendall Jenner's home a few years ago ... Kris Jenner also had a man break into her community several times.

The Kardashians are getting outdoorsy ... with a rustically elegant alpine estate.

Sources tell TMZ ... the fam bam stayed at this stunning cabin in Lake Tahoe for a few days, and they brought company too. We're told a production crew was also there to document what will eventually air in the final season of 'KUWTK.'

The private compound's pretty damn breathtaking. It features a main residence and a guest house ... with a whopping 17 bedrooms and 18 bathrooms. The house is 17,000 square feet strong. The pad's even got a name -- the Gunbarrel Lodge -- after the Heavenly Ski Resort adjacent to the 15-acre property.

The scenic driveway takes guests to a hillside perch, which leads into a grand porte-cochere entry. The house has phenomenal lake views and a huge deck for chilling and sunbathing.

The decor includes melded timbers and rugged reclaimed materials -- like masterful stonework -- that seamlessly create an indoor/outdoor flow.

When the Kardashians recently pranked some of their family members and close friends -- including Justin Bieber, Dave Chappelle, David Grutman and Travis Scott -- one of the pad's stone beams and walls was prominently featured in the background.

Kim Kardashian's visit with an inmate on death row in Oklahoma is being hailed as a big morale boost for the folks already fighting for Julius Jones' freedom.

Kim brought a lot of extra attention to Julius' case when she met with him face-to-face in Oklahoma City ... and we're told it's got his family excited and supporters energized.

Folks at the "Justice for Julius" campaign tell us their website has seen a tenfold traffic increase, and thousands of emails from all over the world are flowing into the site and into the inbox at the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board, urging a commutation of his sentence.

Jones, a Black man, was only 19 when he was arrested for the shooting death of a 45-year-old white man named Paul Howell back in 1999. Jones was convicted of 1st-degree murder in 2002 and sentenced to death, but lots of folks say the case was racially charged with little evidence tying him to the scene. Julius claims he was framed and it was racial.

Julius filed a clemency petition last year and is waiting on the parole board to recommend his sentence be commuted ... a final decision is in the hands of Governor Kevin Stitt.

We're told since Kim's visit Cleveland Browns quarterback, Baker Mayfield, who's been wearing Julius' name on the back of his helmet all season and has been wearing custom cleats with Julius' face on it, is fully on board the Julius team.

But, more than anything, we're told Kim's visit brought renewed hope and energy to the folks on the ground in Oklahoma who have been working tirelessly on the case.

Julius' sister, Antoinette Jones, tells TMZ ... Kim provided the family with a sense of optimism moving forward, making good on her word to fight for Julius. Antoinette says Kim's drive reminds her of Robert Kardashian Sr.

It's pretty heartbreaking ... Julius' sister says he told Kim he's still broken up about not being able to take her to junior and senior prom because he was locked up, and he told Kim he wants to make it up to his sister. She says Kim feels that's another reason why Kim wants to fight for his freedom.

Not everyone is feeling great about Kim's visit though.

Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter called her out for advocating for Jones, claiming "every criticism surrounding his case has been disproven" and railing against "celebrity endorsements."

Kim Kardashian West is using her celebrity and legal connections to help a death row inmate who is currently in a battle to stave off execution.

Kim came face-to-face with Julius Jones in Oklahoma City Monday. Jones, a black man, was 19 when he was arrested for the shooting death of a 45-year old white man named Paul Howell in 1999. He was convicted of first-degree murder in 2002 and sentenced to death.

Sources familiar with the meeting tell us Kim spent time with both Jones and his attorney, Dale Baich, and promised to do whatever she could to assist his legal team. After the meeting with Jones, Kim met with some of his family members at a local church.

During the meeting at the church, we're told Jones' mother got emotional in recounting the night of Howell's murder ... and said Julius was home with her the whole time.

Our sources say, Kim became interested in Julius' case after watching "The Last Defense" in 2018 -- a Viola Davis produced docuseries about his arrest and his trial. Kim also helped to push a Change.org petition in support of Julius from a couple hundred thousand signatures to millions.

Many who have been critical of Julius' case say it was racially charged from the beginning with little evidence to tie him to the scene and a poor legal defense. Julius has also stated he believes he was framed for the murder and didn't fit the appearance of suspect given by Howell's sister ... who stated it was a young black man with a red bandana.

Jones filed a petition for clemency in 2019 and is now waiting on The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board to recommend his sentence be commuted and reduced ... a final decision would then fall with Governor Kevin Stitt.

Jones does not yet have a scheduled execution date.

Kourtney Kardashian's not jealous Scott Disick's got a new, young companion on his arm -- in fact, she actually thinks it's good for him and their kids.

Sources close to the former couple tell TMZ ... Kourtney has no issue with Scott's latest fling, 19-year-old Amelia Hamlin, because it's not impacting his parenting. We're told he continues to be there for their 3 kids, just like he was when he was dating Sofia Richie.

TMZ broke the story ... Lord Disick hit the beach with Amelia this week, proving he can't stay single for very long and he's got a thing for attractive young women with famous parents. Amelia's the daughter of Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin -- and, of course, Sofia's pops is Lionel Richie.

Our sources say Kourtney likes when Scott is dating someone, because that's when he's the most grounded, happy and responsible as a parent. That's how the family saw him when he was dating Sofia, and it's the same way now that Amelia's in his life.

We're told Kourtney and Scott are on the best terms they've been on in a long time, and she sees no need to get involved in his relationships -- as long as he's happy, and there's no negative effect on their children.

Larsa Pippen says her falling out with Kim Kardashian and her sisters was at the behest of Kanye West ... who she believes has brainwashed all of them.

Larsa opened up about her relationship with Kim on the "Hollywood Raw Podcast," saying the rift began earlier this year because Kanye didn't trust anyone with Kim ... which led to Larsa and Kim unfollowing each other on social media.

Larsa believes Kanye then got Kourtney and Khloe to turn on her too by making her out to be a bad seed ... even though she says she had nothing but love for all of them.

Larsa says she and Kanye never had any serious altercations either ... but she mentions an alleged incident between Travis Scott and her that could have set off Kanye.

She also claims Kanye used to call her a lot to vent about stuff ... but she eventually got tired of it and blocked his number. Larsa says Kanye didn't like that either.

Kendall Jenner had a party on top of a party Saturday night ... celebrating Halloween and her birthday.

Kendall hosted the bash at Harriet's Rooftop in WeHo, where 100 guests wished her a happy 25. Among those who showed ... Justin and Hailey Bieber, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Travis Scott, Scott Disick, Jaden Smith, Paris Hilton, The Weeknd, Justine Skye, Quavo, Doja Cat, Winnie Harlow and Saweetie.

Kendall transformed herself into Pam Anderson in "Barb Wire," with the help of a blonde wig and a skin-tight, black one-piece. She blew out the candles on her birthday cake, which had a screen-printed pic of her from back in the day.

It's interesting ... the flyer for the party read ... "take all the photos you want, but please do not post on social media of any kind."

Kim Kardashian's Halloween costume blew Carole Baskin away ... Carole tells us after seeing Kim dress up like her, she just can't live up to her own image anymore.

As you know, Kim dressed to the nines with her Carole Baskin costume, complete with animal print, a flower crown and her kids dressed as tigers ... and Carole tells us Kim's look is a "beautiful version" of herself.

Kim's best friend, Jonathan Cheban, also dressed as Joe Exotic.

Carole's getting the Halloween treatment for the first time this year ... and she says it's weird to see total strangers wearing flower crowns, cat prints and gaudy jewelry to channel their inner Carole Baskin.

You know you've made it when Kim K is dressing up like you for Halloween and not the other way around!!!

'Tiger King' is a huge hit with costumes this year -- Kelly Ripa dressed as Joe Exotic and Ryan Seacrest went as a tiger -- and Carole says Joe's the perfect icon for Halloween because he represents "pure evil."

Carole also tells us she's been so flattered by all the "clever renditions" of her look, she started a costume contest on her Big Cat Rescue Facebook page. Good luck looking better than Kim!

Huge news for Rob Kardashian -- his ultra-rare Tom Brady football card has been formally graded as "Gem-Mint Condition" ... meaning he'll get top dollar if he chooses to sell!

... and, with some experts saying it could be worth anywhere from $100,000 to $250,000, this is a big deal!

As we previously reported, Rob -- a lowkey trading card enthusiast -- bought a case this week of 2020 Panini Mosaic Choice (hobby) cards ... which usually runs for about $10,000.

Fortunately for him, he pulled the Holy Grail -- a Tom Brady MVP Nebula parallel that's a rare 1-of-1 card that collectors are going crazy over.

The condition of the card is a big deal in the high-level collector community -- in other words, a card that's graded anything less than a perfect 10 could mean the difference of 10s of thousands of dollars on the open market.

Rob, with the help of his pals at The Bullpen card shop in L.A., immediately sent the card over to PSA -- one of the top authentication and grading companies in the industry.

The card was inspected and on Friday, Rob got the good news -- it's a perfect 10, gem-mint condition!

Our sources tell us Rob hasn't decided whether he'll sell the card or keep it in his private collection ... either way, he's a winner.

We've spoken to multiple memorabilia experts -- who all agree it's tough to predict the exact value of the card, but most agree Rob could likely get 6-figures.

Mitch Guttenberg, who owns The Bullpen, put it to us this way:

"It is a first-year Panini NFL Mosaic of the GOAT, Tom Brady in his Pats uniform and it is a 1/1 Nebula which in itself is huge. This significance of having a PSA 10 increases the value at least 5x."

"People can argue all day long what the value is but we won’t know unless Rob decides to sell it. Then we can end the speculation. The amount of attention Rob is bringing to the hobby is fantastic. He is a great dude and his collection just got a lot better."

By the way, Rob pulled some other insane cards out of his box ... landing some cool Tua Tagovailoa autographs and a super rare Justin Herbert card -- which also got a perfect grade Friday!

Kim Kardashian got a virtual reunion with her father -- an amazing 3-D hologram was her 40th birthday gift from her hubby, Kanye West.

Kim just shared an incredible video of Robert Kardashian Sr. in hologram form, and it will blow you away.

Our sources tell us Kim got the surprise from Kanye during her bday getaway to a private island. Ye led Kim, Kris, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob into a dark room where the hologram was unveiled.

Robert's hologram speaks to Kim for about 3 minutes, wishing her a happy birthday and telling her how proud he is of her.

Kudos to Kanye, because the quality of the hologram is awesome -- it really feels like he was in the room. Kim's dad also told her he's excited she's following in his footsteps as a lawyer and he's proud of the great mom she's become. A definite "cue the waterworks" moment.

Our sources say Kim, Kris and her sisters watched the hologram several times along with their guests ... and then the family asked to be alone with it.

Kanye's obviously paid a lot of attention to stories about Robert Sr. ... we're told Kim always told Ye about him, including how he'd leave her love notes and was always super supportive.

A lot of work went into the hologram ... our sources say Kanye spent a lot of time in the studio pouring over old video and audio of Robert to bring the vision to life, and AI was used to finish off the project, which Kanye started in early September.

Khloe Kardashian contracted COVID-19 earlier this year -- and the symptoms were so bad, Kris Jenner called every doctor she could think of for help.

Khloe's diagnosis is included in a new "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" trailer ... where she says she quarantined in her room because the symptoms were "really bad for a couple of days." She says she was vomiting, shaking and had hot and cold flashes. She said she also got some terrible headaches and her chest burned from all the coughing.

The clip shows the family tension as they waited for Khloe's results -- Kim said, "I mean, my gut tells me she does, just because she's so sick. And, that really scares me for her, 'cause I can tell that she's now getting scared and that she's really nervous about it."

This is not the first time Kim's had a scary encounter with the potentially deadly disease. Kanye West revealed back in July during a Forbes interview he contracted the virus and suffered from similar symptoms. Earlier this month, Kim revealed Kanye got sick around the same time Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson announced their diagnosis back in March.

Kim said taking care of Kanye was scary at the time because the virus and its effects were largely unknown to the population. She said taking care of Kanye included changing his sheets while wearing gloves and a face shield.

Khloe's urging fans to follow precautions and stay safe. She's clearly back to her old self ... after recently hitting up Kim's 40th birthday extravaganza on a private island.

Kim Kardashian did it BIG for her big 4-0 ... renting out a private island for a week of birthday celebrations.

The bday getaway was super lavish ... our sources say Kim flew 40 of her closest friends and family on a Boeing 777 to the private isle, where they were handed keys to their own private villas on the beach.

Kim's guest list included ... Kris, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall, La La Anthony, Corey Gamble, NBA studs Devin Booker and Tristan Thompson, plus Scott and Mason Disick. We're told Kanye West was not present for Kim's actual birthday -- he had some work commitments -- but Yeezy joined the trip for the final few days.

Our sources say Kim picked out an island that hadn't seen any COVID cases ... and she asked all her guests to quarantine for 2 weeks before the trip and get multiple tests. Smart and safe.

In addition to private beachfront villas, we're told Kim hooked her guests up with Skims pajamas, KKW Beauty products, GoPro's, waterproof disposable cameras and lots of other island essentials. Now that's hospitality!

Our sources say Kim and co. spent the entire week dancing, whale watching, swimming in lagoons, kayaking, snorkeling, playing volleyball and enjoying outdoor dinners right on the sand. Like we said -- lavish.

We're told Kim even treated everyone to a private screening of "This is 40" on the beach.

Danny Trejo wants voting rights restored to felons who've paid their debt to society, but while they're on the inside ... he thinks Kim Kardashian's doing more to help than President Trump.

We got the actor -- who spent years in various prisons back in the day -- at Trejo's Cantina in Hollywood, and asked him if prisoners should be allowed to vote from behind bars, or while on probation or parole.

Danny says ex-inmates should be allowed to vote, along with people being held in county jails before they've been convicted. He's staunchly in favor of states -- like Florida has done -- restoring voting rights to folks who complete their prison bids.

As for prison reform's impact on the election -- Danny scoffs at President Trump tooting his own horn. Despite, the fact POTUS signed the First Step Act into law ... Trejo doesn't think he deserves all the credit.
