Volodymyr Zelensky has said Ukraine is taking the fight in the ongoing war to Russia's doorstep -- and now, it appears like that's manifesting ... in the nation's capital, no less.

A viral video shows an explosion that went down in Moscow Sunday -- right in the heart of the financial district, it seems -- and it's pretty wild to see. You hear a woman who's filming, and she's got her camera aimed at a bunch of skyscrapers off in the not-too-far distance.

Suddenly, you see a massive ball of fire erupt near one of those buildings ... and it absolutely shocks the bystanders, who start to scream in a panic ... and even cry.

The Russian Defense Ministry is saying this was actually a Ukrainian drone ... and it was apparently just one of three that they say they took down before they could make impact. In this instance, RDM says the drone blew up near skyscrapers that housed government offices.

The Russian government also says there were no injuries or casualties here ... only minor damage to the façade of the two buildings. Still, people on the ground are reeling from this. BTW, this is the second reported attack on Russian soil in a week ... so they're escalating.

During a Sunday address, Zelensky is quoted as having said ... "Russian aggression has gone bankrupt on the battlefield. Today is the 522nd day of the so-called 'special military operation,' which the Russian leadership expected to last for a week or two. Ukraine is getting stronger. Gradually, the war is returning to the territory of Russia — to its symbolic centers and military bases, and this is an inevitable, natural, and absolutely fair process."

Lake Lanier has claimed yet another life in Georgia -- only this time, the mode of death is one no one seems to be able to explain ... because a guy was shocked to his demise.

24-year-old Thomas Milner was killed Thursday after he reportedly jumped into the water from his nearby family dock -- only to start screaming moments later and calling for help ... apparently, he was being electrocuted from within the lake itself.

Reports say, citing Georgia officials, that family friends tried pulling Milner out ... but were unsuccessful. It seems a neighbor had to actually drive over to his location with their own boat -- only for someone in the boat to finally jump in and attempt to bring him ashore.

That person, who hasn't been identified, reportedly told authorities they started to feel a burning sensation as soon as they got into the water ... which they assumed was electricity.

According to one local outlet, the diver actually got out of the water briefly ... turned off a power box that was adjacent to the dock ... and then went back in to get Milner, at which point they were able to pull him out. Unfortunately, it was too late for everyone involved.

They tried life-saving measures, but Milner later died at a hospital.

There's no official word why the water had electric currents in it -- but, believe it or not, this is something Lake Lanier officials have actually warned the public about over the years ... citing the risk of "electric shock drowning." Some say faulty outlets could cause this.

Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber's non-feud is once again being resurrected via their overeager fans -- this time ... it's Hailey's supporters on the attack, calling Selena a copycat.

As you might notice ... Hailey is trending right now, and it all has to with stans of hers ripping into this innocent clip that Selena is featured in -- one posted by one of her good friends, Connar Franklin, who was the star at her own bachelorette party Friday.

What Twitter's bickering about now ... the fact Connar posted this video of her, Selena and other friends doing that catwalk lineup thing -- something Hailey also did earlier this month.

As you might recall ... Hailey and a bunch of her girlfriends pulled off a similar video during 4th of July weekend -- and it had tons of celebs in it, including Kim, Kylie, Kendall and Lori Harvey. BTW, this was Lori's video ... which is important.

Now, in the wake of Connar's vid -- which we suppose is kinda similar -- people (aka, Selena haters) are accusing SG of riding Hailey's wave ... suggesting Hailey would be slammed if the roles were reversed (namely, if Selena had done this first, and if Hailey had done it after). In other words, they're indicating there's a double standard at play in this ongoing dynamic.

What these "stans" fail to realize (or acknowledge) on both fronts is that neither video was carried out or posted by their respective idols -- they're both simply *in* the freakin' videos!

So, if this sounds like stupid high school s*** ... well, that's because it is -- and, in this case, the celebs themselves have absolutely nothing to do with it. Per usual, it's their fanbase that's running with BS ... trying to pit these two women against each other.

Funny enough, Selena had to call off her loyalists not too long ago -- telling them to back off of Hailey, as it appears they were dogpiling her during that whole "Mean Girl" thing.

She explicitly asked them to leave Hailey alone -- and Hailey thanked Selena afterward for speaking up on it. While their fans seem to think she's still bad blood between them, Selena and Hailey have, time and again, stamped that notion out ... and have even hung out.

Stephen A. Smith deleted a tweet where he rhetorically asked if Kim Kardashian/Kris Jenner were involved in turning tricks -- despite talking about exactly that in his latest podcast.

Here's the deal ... SAS went live Friday night with the latest episode of "The Stephen A. Smith Show" -- where the ESPN personality talks about a number of issues, unrelated to sports. In the one from last night ... he decided to bring up Kim and Kris as a topic.

Specifically, he discussed a clip from back in September -- in which Candace Owens was digging into Ray J's claims that Kris brokered the infamous sex tape between him and Km.

You'll recall ... he went into all the alleged nitty-gritty about what he claims went down way back then -- saying Kris was fully privy to what they were doing, and claiming she essentially orchestrated it all behind the scenes. Ditto for Kim, he says ... alleging she was in on it too.

At the time, Candace talked about that on her own show (again, back in September) ... and she floated the blunt allegation that, in her view, Kris had operated as a "pimp" in that instance. She also called Kim a "prostitute" in that clip ... and now, for some, reason Stephen thought it'd be a good time to weigh in on this himself. Objectively, it's old news.

He got into a little bit of trouble, though ... because, in teasing this episode, he tweeted ... "Is Kim Kardashian a 'prostitute'? Is Kris Jenner a 'pimp'?" He followed that tweet up with yet another, trying to add context, in which he explained that's what Candace Owens thinks.

Unfortunately, the damage was done ... because none other than Patrick Beverly came to Kim's defense -- saying she's a mother, and that SAS shouldn't talk about her like that.

Stephen replied, saying Pat was right ... and attributing his tweet to a "clerical error." He deleted the tweet -- but the actual clip of him talking about this exact topic is still up on YouTube ... and guess what ... the dude appears to somewhat agree with Candace, assuming what Ray J says is, in fact, true ... as he clarifies in his breakdown of her argument.

His sister, who was on as a guest, also kind of agreed on that front. She said if the claims against Kris were true ... she can see where Candace was coming from. She does defend Kim though. All in all ... it's not a great look. Not only do they entertain the topic, but they seem to support Candace's take.

Things didn't work out as planned for a suspected bank burglar in Ohio ... he came crashing down from a ceiling as cops surrounded him with their guns drawn, and it was all caught on film.

Police body cam footage, obtained by NBC News, captured every dramatic moment outside Federal Credit Union in Huron, about 50 miles west of Cleveland, in the early morning hours Wednesday.

In the shocking video, Tristan Heidl is at first obscured from view as he tries to push open a door hatch from inside the roof in the bank's drive-thru area.

Little does Heidl know, officers already responded to an alarm that got tripped and were standing nearby waiting for him to make his appearance.

Pretty soon, the hatch flies open, and Heidl drops down into a garbage bin.

The cops rush up to him, aiming their guns at his head while screaming for him to get on the ground.

Errol Spence and Terence Crawford ain't the only boxers fighting in Las Vegas ... Caleb Plant and Jermall Charlo got into it on Friday as well -- and the altercation between the two stars was wild.

You can see in video shot at T-Mobile Arena ... Plant and Charlo were backstage at the Crawford vs. Spence weigh-ins, when Plant charged at Charlo and slapped him right in the face.

Plant's hand connected so flush with Charlo's cheek, it actually made a loud sound that forced a gasp out of at least one bystander.

The two seemed to want to escalate things further ... but, thankfully, a security guard ushered Plant away from the scene -- which calmed everyone down.

It's unclear why Plant hit Charlo, but after the squabble was broken up, Caleb yelled, "Don’t you ever grab me by my motherf****in' face again like that, boy."

The two have had beef for a while ... with Plant calling out Charlo prior to his fight against David Benavidez in March.

At the time, he said he wanted Jermall if he couldn't see Canelo Alvarez next. Coincidentally, Canelo is next slated to fight Jermall's twin brother, Jermell, in September.

Carlee Russell is now facing criminal prosecution, and it's all because police say she completely fabricated that wild kidnapping story ... prompting a massive, and expensive, search.

Prosecutors in Hoover, Alabama just charged Carlee with 2 misdemeanors -- false reporting to law enforcement authorities and falsely reporting of an incident. Each charge carries up to one year in jail.

Hoover Police Chief, Nick Derzis, said Carlee turned herself in and was released from jail Friday after posting $2,000 bond.

As you know, Carlee called 911 earlier this month when she was driving down the interstate to report a toddler wandering alone on the roadside. She got out of her car and then disappeared for 2 days ... before showing up at her parents' house without so much as a scratch on her.

Since then, police have said their investigation shows there was no toddler on the highway, and Carlee was not abducted -- as she and her parents claimed -- and then Carlee finally admitted it was all a phony story.

Prosecutors tell us they still don't know where Carlee was during the roughly 48-hour period she was off the grid -- ditto for police, who spent tons of money and resources searching for her.

After Carlee copped to the load of BS, her boyfriend slammed her for her lies, and said he's now her ex-BF -- a move that came after he initially defended her, as he also bought her kidnapping lie.

A captive manatee in Florida is dead, but his demise is one whale of a tale -- basically, poor Hugh the manatee had rough sex ... with his brother, Buffett. Yes, it was death by buffett.

The deadly sex went down at the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium in Sarasota, with necropsy results revealing Huge, a 38-year-old manatee, died as a result of "high-intensity" sex with Buffett.

The necropsy report from the USDA, first published by ABC7, says Hugh's fatal injury was a 14.5-centimeter rip in his colon, which was caused by a sexual encounter with his larger brother.

The USDA says the aquarium observed high-intensity sexual behavior between the adult male manatees back on April 29, which included Buffett anally penetrating the smaller Hugh.

Following their first encounter, researchers found blood in Hugh's colon, but apparently, the 2 manatees kept going at it throughout the day ... with only occasional rest periods.

Eventually, Buffett tired after one last time penetrating Hugh and swam away -- however, Hugh was unresponsive at the bottom of the pool, and died.

While the USDA says the aquarium failed to protect Hugh before his death, the facility is defending its actions.

The aquarium says sex between Hugh and Buffett was natural and they were mutually seeking interactions on the day Hugh died.

The facility says Hugh showed no obvious signs of discomfort or distress ... and veterinarians directed handlers to try to distract the manatees from sex rather than physically separate them for fear of causing stress and anxiety.

Hugh and Buffett lived together for 27 years in the same pool, and were the only manatees in the aquarium.

Toccara Jones wants to work with the Drake fan who went viral after throwing her huge bra on stage -- she's offering Miss 36G a modeling job with her lingerie line.

We got the ex-"America's Next Top Model" contestant Thursday at LAX, and she told us why 21-year-old Veronica Correia would be the perfect fit to model for her company, Toccara Intimates.

For starters, Toccara and Veronica both have similar body shapes and bra sizes ... Veronica's 36G bra caught Drake's attention during his recent concert in Brooklyn.

But, it's not only about the curves for Toccara .. who tells us she also likes the confidence Veronica has in her body, as evidenced by her behavior at the concert.

She adds, Veronica should move quickly to cash in on her newfound fame. As we reported, Playboy's also offering an opportunity ... so the iron is plenty hot.

Toccara says even if Veronica doesn't seize the day, she's already struck a blow for women with all natural assets -- a statement that came with a very jiggly exhibition!

Terence "Bud" Crawford just lost his cool on an Errol Spence supporter ... repeatedly calling the man a "bitch" and a "ho."

The fiery scene played out toward the end of the boxers' prefight press conference Thursday afternoon in Las Vegas ... when someone who appeared to be in Spence's camp began chirpin' at Crawford from their front row seat.

It's unclear exactly what the agitator said ... but it ticked off Crawford, who paused everything on the stage to fire off insults at the man.

"You a bitch, n****!" Crawford said. "F*** you talkin' to?! You a bitch, n****, 'cause you keep talkin' like a bitch n****! You doin' all that talkin'!"

The 39-0 fighter kept the verbal jabs flying for several more seconds ... before, mercifully, it ended.

As for Spence ... he seemed to be amused by the situation, even joking with the guys if they were done so he could continue talking.

The entire event was filled with tension ... as the two fighters' trainers even got into a verbal spat while at the podium.

Hecklers in the audience, meanwhile, could be heard yelling at the boxers throughout it all as well.

This is probably the most trash talking we've seen from both sides since the two agreed to fight ... and it's something boxing fans have been waiting for.

A scene straight out of a Hollywood thriller unfolded in NYC, as a crane not only caught fire, but collapsed and crashed into a neighboring building ... sending people below running for cover.

The crane was operating on a vacant building near Hudson Yards when it caught fire. Emergency crews responded almost immediately but were essentially helpless as it burned hundreds of feet in the air.

Eventually, the flames got to be too much, and the crane snapped ... striking a neighboring building and falling to the ground.

All that glitters must not be gold -- or pink, for that matter -- because a white-hot argument during a "Barbie" screening took a physical turn, and fast!

The beef went down in Brazil as the credits were scrolling for the Margot Robbie-led film, ironically as Billie Eilish's moving "What Was I Made For?" was playing in the background.

According to folks online, someone in the theater was letting their kid watch videos on a phone during the movie ... and the post-movie blowup is a direct result of that.

It's unclear which person's being accused, but the girl in the pink jacket certainly gets the short end of the stick ... 'cause she was slammed to the ground after one of the angry women stormed up the steps.

It's a pretty wild scene, especially after a flick like "Barbie" ... but as we reported, a separate fight at an AMC movie theater in Florida resulted in a police search.

Remember, police released a video from the Pompano Beach brawl earlier this month, where the MIA suspect shoved a man into a railing, then started beating him while on the ground.

Cops said the victim asked the man in question to switch seats, claiming he was sitting in their preassigned spot ... which is what allegedly sparked the beatdown.

The female fan who caught Drake's attention with her bra at a recent concert is makin' moves after the viral moment ... and we've learned Playboy is ready to sign her.

ICYMI, 21-year-old Veronica Correia tossed her 36G bra on stage during the rapper's show at Barclay's Center in New York last week -- and Drake picked it up, hilariously saying "Locate this woman immediately."

We spoke with Veronica, who gave us a breakdown of that entire night, particularly the big bra moment ... and says Drake's already responded to one of her posts, but she hasn't hit the guy back yet.

She also got a DM from Playboy, offering her the chance to join the team in some capacity -- an offer it sounds like she couldn't refuse.

For those unaware, Playboy's done away with its long-running magazines and has switched over to an OnlyFans-style business model. While Veronica hasn't been that gung-ho for OF, despite getting asked, something about Playboy must've called to her.

Rami Malek has proven to be a scene-stealer in "Oppenheimer" -- something his biggest fans are ecstatic about ... especially considering his mixed-bag journey in Hollywood.

The Oscar-winning actor is one of several stars with a smaller role in Nolan's latest feature -- which is getting rave reviews. Ditto for a lot of the supporting performances, including RM ... who shows up for an impactful monologue at a critical moment in the movie.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!! ... Rami's big scene comes toward the end, when Robert Downey Jr. is revealed to be the bad guy -- who's trying to smear Cillian Murphy/Oppenheimer. Rami sits in as a witness in front of Congress, and he backs Oppenheimer in emphatic terms.

Essentially, his character -- who only had a couple of lines up until this point -- turns out to be a major game-changer in the trajectory of the film ... and it happens at the drop of a dime.

While brief, his work is getting hailed as a standout in a flick packed with talent -- especially on Twitter, where folks are (jokingly) saying they were right to hold onto their Rami Malek stock ... 'cause he's great. His resume of late hasn't always reflected that, unfortunately.

Fact is ... Rami's ascension in showbiz has, at times, felt stunted -- even after he won Best Actor for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in "Bohemian Rhapsody" ... which was controversial. Some felt he didn't deserve the win that year ... of course, others disagreed.

Point is -- since then, he hasn't really blown up the way people thought he would, or should ... instead getting sprinkled into movies here and there, somewhat unremarkably.

However, now ... a lot of his supporters feel vindicated by what he did in 'Oppenheimer,' and are hoping he'll be put back on the leading man trajectory that they feel he deserves.

Doja Cat appears to be opening up a can of tough love on her staunchest fans -- rebuking a pet name they've given themselves ... and telling them to grow the hell up.

The rapper/singer has been getting some side-eye from her loyal supporters over the past few days -- and it all appears to have come to a head this weekend when she shot down a term a lot of them use ... which is kind of in the vein of Nicki Minaj stans.

Of course, we're referring to the Barbz -- something Nicki seems to have embraced with open arms ... but the same can't be said for Doja and her "Kittenz." It's a phrase some of her fans have affectionately used to brand themselves as followers of hers, but DC's telling them to drop it ... and more importantly, to get a life!

In a since-deleted tweet, Doja wrote ... "my fans don’t name themselves s***. if you call yourself a 'kitten' or f***ing 'kittenz' that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house."

There are other since-deleted tweets where she's telling fans of hers to delete their account if they're even referencing her in their profile pic or username ... and yeah, it's a bit combative.

On the one hand -- Doja crapping on the fandom is a refreshing assessment/slam of "stan" culture -- which has run rampant among some of the biggest artists out there (Swifties, Barbz, Harries, Beyhive etc.) But it's also jarringly honest ... so much so, in fact, Doja appears to be rubbing her "kittenz" the wrong way -- to the point they're kinda turning on her now.

You can hop into the Doja Cat trend for yourself to see how people are responding ... but it would seem they're not feeling Doja's hot-and-cold approach to being an A-list celeb. Sometimes she's very warm/welcoming, other times -- she's off-putting and cold. Her timeline and Twitter replies certainly suggest as much, anyway.

Here's hoping Doja can make nice with her potential ticket-buyers soon ... 'cause she's got a tour coming up in the Fall, and she's been promoting it like crazy.

Hollywood might not be the only industry that's on strike -- pretty soon, it could be parcel carriers who are hitting the picket lines as well ... namely, thousands of UPS workers.

You may not have heard of this until now, but a doomsday is fast approaching that could halt a lot of UPS's operations across the country -- which would seriously screw up the supply chain ... among other facets of American life that rely on the shipping/receiving giant.

Upwards of 325,000 UPS employees are primed to stop working starting on August 1 if their Teamsters union and their UPS bosses can't strike a new labor contract ... which has been getting ironed out in recent months, but which has hit a snag on the money front.

Specifically, part-time workers' pay is at issue. At the moment, UPS says its PT staff -- which makes up a significant number of its workforce across the company -- makes about $20/hour on average, after completing a 30-day period. The union is asking for a serious raise.

The union's leader, Prez Sean O'Brien, has been quoted with some fiery language over the prospect of UPS workers hitting the streets. During a rally speech in Atlanta Saturday, per CNN Business, he said, "We’ve legalized, strategized, now it’s time to pulverize."

BTW, this would-be strike wouldn't just affect ground transportation -- a separate union repping UPS pilots has apparently also committed to joining in solidarity if an agreement can't be reached soon ... so this would be felt both domestically and abroad too.

Of course, the backdrop of all this is the SAG and WGA strikes that are going on right now -- whose members are demanding a number of things as well in their own negotiations.
