Rick Ross

I'm Still Gunning for Dolphins Ownership

2/26/2015 3:42 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

022615_rick_ross_launchRick Ross says he still wants to be Tha Boss of the Miami Dolphins ... telling TMZ Sports he "can't wait" for team officials to invite him to become a minority owner.

As we previously reported, Ross met with the Dolphins last year -- and said he was willing and able to buy a piece of the team ... just like Serena Williams, Gloria Estefan and others.

But the hold up is the Dolphins ... who ultimately decide which rich people they'll "invite" into the ownership group and when to invite them.

So, when we saw Ross out in NYC Wednesday night, we had to ask if he was still into the idea ... or if all of the waiting had turned him off.

Check out the clip ... it's clear Ross is willing to be patient to get what he wants.

BONUS -- Ross also screws with our photog ... and it's pretty funny.

You know the story ... 38-year-old Rob Konrad says he lost his footing and fell off his boat in the middle of the ocean back in January ... and was forced to swim about 16 hours to shore.

The boat -- which was on autopilot at the time -- eventually crashed in the Grand Bahama Island near an area called "Deadman's Reef" ... and sustained major damage in the process.

Here's a summary of the damages, according to the incident report, obtained by TMZ Sports:

-- Damage to the gel coat and fiberglass on the bottom and side rails
-- Damage  to the gear cases on both motors along with the skegs
-- Stress fractures on the top frame
-- Damaged windows

Note -- Konrad is submitting the damages to his insurance company.

38-year-old Konrad and his family just spoke with the media in Miami ... and while fighting back tears, he explained how he found the mental and physical strength to make the 16 hour swim.

"I have 2 beautiful daughters. I was hitting that shore," Konrad says.

Konrad says he saw boats in the water -- but the boats didn't see him -- so, "I had to get my mind right."

As for the shark, Konrad says it circled him in the water, but never attacked. Konrad said it was nothing short of a miracle.

When he finally got near the beach, Konrad says he could hear the waves crashing on the shore -- "It was a beautiful sound."

There's more ... the report says when Konrad reached land, he approached an officer who was working a security detail around 4:42 AM... while wearing only "jockey shore underwear."

Emergency responders were called to the scene to treat the former NFL player -- who was then transported to a nearby hospital.

0109-rob-konrad-getty-01Authorities tell TMZ Sports ... they have recovered the fishing boat that was carrying former Miami Dolphins player Robert Konrad -- the guy who miraculously swam 9 miles to shore.

The story is insane ... 38-year-old Konrad was knocked out of his boat off the coast of Florida -- and the boat, which was on autopilot, drifted away from him. Konrad spent between 10 and 12 hours swimming back to shore.

Now, the Coast Guard tells us they have found the boat -- which finally washed ashore on the Grand Bahamas Island.

As for Konrad, he was hospitalized for hypothermia ... but has since been released.

No word on if he plans to keep the boat.

'Lemme Know If I Can Help!'

Diddy is no dummy ... so when he told us last night that he thinks it's a "great idea" for Rick Ross to buy a piece of the Miami Dolphins, The Boss should probably do it.

Earlier this week, Rick revealed that he sat down with Dolphins big wigs and talked about owning a piece of the NFL team

"It was a real positive conversation," Ross said.

So when we asked Diddy how he felt about it, the hip hop mogul not only gave his blessing ... but asked how he could help make it happen.

BTW -- Diddy doesn't own a team himself, but has stated in the past that he wants to own a MAJORITY stake in an NFL franchise in the future.

He's reportedly worth $580 million ... so it ain't exactly out of the picture.

Minutes later, he continued, "No hard feelings. Let's just move on."

Martin never responded on Incognito .. at least, not on Twitter.

Stay tuned ...

I'm Out of the Psych Ward!

... and Back on Twitter!

breaking news
0228-richie-incognito-tmz-01Richie Incognito is back -- 3 weeks after being admitted to a psychiatric care unit -- and he's already TWEETING AGAIN.

Richie resurfaced on Twitter late Tuesday night ... writing, "I missed you guys. Thanks goes out to my family and friends for the tremendous amount of support."

He added, "I look forward to getting back to work ASAP."

Incognito also said, "It's great to be HOME in Arizona."

We broke the story Richie was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold in AZ back in February after smashing his Ferrari with a baseball bat in front of his Scottsdale home.

Sources close to the situation tell us Richie didn't resist being admitted to the psych ward -- acknowledging that he needed help dealing with all the drama in his life, including the Jonathan Martin bullying scandal and his parents' divorce.

Cecil 'The Diesel' Collins

Ex-LSU Star Dodges Return to Prison

3/17/2014 4:05 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Former LSU football legend Cecil "the Diesel" Collins just scored a huge victory in court -- the man who once racked up 3,079 yards in a single high school season ... is not going back to prison on a probation violation ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Collins already served 13 and a half years behind bars in Florida for committing a super creepy Miami burglary back in 1999 -- cutting short a promising career with the Miami Dolphins in the process.

Collins admitted breaking into a woman's apartment, but here's the super creepy part ... he said he only did it to watch her sleep.

At the time of the Miami incident ... Collins was already on probation for committing 2 similar crimes in Louisiana -- he was accused of breaking into homes and fondling 2 women -- so prosecutors there wanted to nail him with up to 5 years in prison for violating probation.

Today a Baton Rouge judge let Collins off with 3 years probation and said he could move back to Florida. He will have to undergo random drug testing and check in regularly with a parole officer.

Sweet dreams, South Florida.

Exclusive Details
311_graham_garcon_uso_launch Jimmy Graham only knows one speed -- game speed -- and during a USO trip to Afghanistan last week, he broke out his basketball skills during a 1-on-1 game with a U.S. solider.

The New Orleans Saints star -- along with Redskins WR Pierre Garcon and Dolphins punter Brandon Fields -- went to the Middle East to visit soldiers in the field.

"It was an uplifting experience," Garcon tells TMZ Sports ... "It's amazing seeing the work they are doing to protect us."

Garcon says everyone he met was a huge sports fan -- "They were telling us stories about how they wake up at 3am to watch football. And then depending on how their team does, they're in a good mood or bad for the rest of the day."

The gang not only traveled, ate and hung out with the soldiers -- they also tossed around a football in their downtime.

"This experience for me has truly been life-changing," Graham said in a statement following the trip ... "I grew up in a Military home and this just makes me more of a patriot. I have more of an appreciation for the little things we have back home each and every day."

Stop Attacking My GF's Breast-Feeding Pic

3/5/2014 4:27 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
0305_ash3nicole_instagramMiami Dolphins linebacker Philip Wheeler says his girlfriend is being unfairly attacked over a picture showing her breast-feeding their son ... and now he's calling for people to stop the boob hate, asap.

Wheeler's GF is model Ashley Nicole -- who recently posted a photo showing her son latched on to her right breast inside of their home. She included the caption, "Was on the way out the door but then mommy duty called... Everything stops for him! #breastisbest #natureisbeautiful."

Problem is ... not everyone felt the same way -- and social media erupted with people trashing Nicole for posting the pic in the first place.

TMZ Sports spoke to Wheeler ... who says, "I wish everybody would just leave it alone" ... adding, "She's a model. She takes pictures for a living."

Wheeler pointed out that Gisele posted a breast-feeding pic back in December -- and was widely praised for it -- and doesn't understand why his GF isn't getting the same love.

As for the pic, it's still posted on Ashley's Instagram page -- and we're told she has no plans to take it down.

Jonathan Martin

Cyber-Bullying Justin Bieber

You Should Be Ashamed Of Yourself!

3/5/2014 6:27 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

File This Under: "Pot Meet Kettle" ... 'cause alleged bullying victim Jonathan Martin went online last night to CYBER-BULLY Justin Bieber ... telling the pop star he's an EMBARRASSMENT.

Out of the blue, Martin went on Twitter and wrote: "Never be embarrassed of who you are ... Unless you're Justin Bieber."

Obviously, an attempt at a joke ... but not a great move coming from a guy who was just talking to a class about the effects of BULLYING earlier that day.

Also, don't forget ... Martin left the Miami Dolphins claiming several players were picking on him for no reason.

Martin followed up his tweet with an attempted explanation ... saying, "Don't get it twisted... Biebs is one of the most talented artists out there... He just makes some questionable decisions."

He's not the only one.

Jay Glazer

Incognito Has Real Issues

I'm Glad He Got Help

3/1/2014 7:27 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
NFL guru Jay Glazer -- the first guy to interview Richie Incognito about the Dolphins bullying scandal -- tells TMZ Sports ... Richie has some serious psychiatric issues and he's glad he's getting help.

Jay was leaving 1Oak nightclub in Hollywood Friday night, when our guy asked if Richie's decision to seek psychiatric help Thursday night was simply a P.R. move to win some sympathy ... but Jay shot that theory right down.

"Richie's got some issues there ... I'm glad he's getting help."

We broke the story ... Incognito initially checked himself into an Arizona psychiatric care center ... but when he tried to leave, people jumped into action and put him on an involuntary hold for his own good.
