NBA's Cliff Alexander Arrested ... Cops Say He Had Loaded Gun During Stop

Published | Updated

Former NBA player Cliff Alexander -- the top H.S. recruit in the country in 2014 -- was arrested Wednesday ... after cops say they found a loaded gun on him during a traffic stop.

TMZ Sports has learned ... Cliff was pulled over at around 9:30 PM CT in Chicago, Ill. after cops claim he failed to stop at a stop sign at an intersection.

Officers say when they questioned Cliff ... he admitted to having a firearm under his driver's seat -- and when officers checked, they say he did indeed have a loaded pistol in the car.

Cops say the 24-year-old told them he had the gun because he was on his way to Englewood and was nervous for his safety.

Cops also say Alexander admitted to having weed on him ... and claim they found a "clear plastic bag" with a green substance in it when they searched him.

Alexander, who cops say does NOT have a concealed carry license -- was arrested and booked on a felony charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

He was also hit with a citation for failing to stop at a stop sign -- but he was NOT booked on drug charges. Jail records show the 6-foot-9, 245-pound basketball player was released from custody late Thursday afternoon.

Alexander was a MONSTER star in high school ... earning Naismith Prep Player of the Year honors in 2014 and receiving offers to play at nearly every college in the country.

But, Cliff never quite lived up to expectations after signing with Kansas ... only logging a cup of coffee in the NBA after going undrafted in 2015.

Alexander -- a Chicago native -- is now currently a member of a pro team in France.

Smash Mouth Singer Ex-Fiancee Claims He's an Abusive Drunk ... Gets Restraining Order

Published

Smash Mouth frontman Steve Harwell's former-fiancee claims he's been so abusive -- verbally and mentally -- that she needs court-ordered protection, and she got it ... TMZ has learned.

Esther Campbell filed new docs asking a judge to keep Harwell the hell away from her, after a series of alleged incidents she's blaming on his battle with substance abuse.

Esther claims Steve did a stint in rehab and seemed to be improving until early this year. In the docs, obtained by TMZ, she claims he fell off the wagon and had to detox in February, but when he got out of treatment ... Steve allegedly stole her phone and destroyed it. Esther also claims he stole her car keys to leave her car windows open in the rain.

She describes him as "vindictive, angry, vile and mean" ... according to the docs, and claims he's not taking his medication for bipolar disorder. We have not confirmed Harwell is bipolar, and he's never discussed it publicly.

As we first reported ... Campbell previously claimed Harwell was making her life a living hell with harassing texts, calls, emails and driving by her house.

The judge granted Esther a temporary restraining order which requires the singer to stop contacting her and stay 200-yards away.

We reached out to Steve's team and they had no comment.

Scott Disick Plans to Sue Rehab Over Leaked Photo ... Facility 'Sickened' by Privacy Breach

Published
UPDATE

9:44 AM PT -- 5/5 -- Noah Nordheimer, President & CEO of All Points North Lodge, tells TMZ ... his team is aware of the Disick photo and says, "The protection of our clients' personal and confidential information is of the utmost importance to us."

UPDATE

Nordheimer says it's strict APN policy to not disclose any personal info on patients, including whether or not a client is being treated there, and if it's determined that "any information relating to any client was ever obtained from APN facilities and provided to a media outlet" ... it will take legal action against that person.

UPDATE

He says the APN Lodge team is "sickened by any publication who would report on an individual’s life struggles without their consent.”

Scott Disick is enraged he's been betrayed by the rehab facility he's been staying at ... he's checked himself out and is going to sue.

Scott has been staying at the All Points North Lodge in Edwards, Colorado since last Tuesday. There are reports he's there for cocaine and alcohol abuse ... he's struggled with substance abuse in the past.

His lawyer, Marty Singer, says, well a lot. For starters, Singer says Disick was NOT there for coke and booze. He says, "In an effort to finally come to terms and deal with the pain that Scott has been silently suffering for many years due to the sudden death of his mother, followed by the death of his father 3 months later, Scott made the decision to check himself into a rehab facility last week to work on his past traumas."

We're told he was quarantining in L.A. by himself and it gave him time to realize he had not properly dealt with the death of his parents.

As for Scott's photo that was taken inside the rehab facility ... Singer says it's an outrageous HIPAA violation.

Scott's team believes the photo was taken by a staff member and not a patient, and that could trigger criminal prosecution. We're told the photo was taken of Scott upon his check-in to the facility.

As soon as he learned of the photo leak, Scott immediately called for a car to pick him up, and he's now left the facility and is en route back to L.A.

Though Disick and Co. maintain this has nothing to do with drugs or alcohol, he has struggled over the years -- in and out of rehab at least 3 times ... not to mention at least one hospitalization as a result of substance use. It wasn't until he started dating Sofia Richie in 2017 that he cleaned up his act.

Remember, 42-year-old Hardy was busted for drunk driving on Oct. 3 ... adding to his history of several alcohol and drug-related arrests throughout his career.

The Charismatic Enigma opened up about his struggles with the "After The Bell" podcast with Corey Graves this week ... revealing how going to inpatient rehab for the first time helped him face his issues head-on.

"I’ve learned so much in recovery ... just little things like one day at a time, just focus on today, not drinking or not drugging and just calling my sponsor every day and talking to another alcoholic man."

Hardy got candid about his conversation with Vince McMahon's org before his DWI, saying, "I called WWE and said, ‘I need help. I need treatment. There’s something wrong with me, with this alcohol thing.'"

Now, Hardy is focused on staying clean and sober ... and hopes that keeps him out of handcuffs.

"There’s something powerful about it when you admit what you are and you can like, own that ... and there’s a huge piece in my heart and my mind knowing that if I never drink again, I’m never going to get into any other trouble."

Hardy says he knows this is his last chance -- in and out of the ring -- and he's going to make the most of it.

Washington State Cougars football player Bryce Beekman died from an accidental overdose of fentanyl and promethazine, officials say.

The 22-year-old defensive back was found dead in his apartment back on March 23 and people were baffled about the cause of death.

But now, the Whitman County Coroner's Office in Washington says an investigation shows "the cause of death was acute intoxication due to the combined effects of fentanyl and promethazine."

As we previously reported, Beekman was a star on the WSU football team.

He started all 13 games at safety in 2019 and was one of top players on the WSU defense. He was 5th on the team in tackles last season.

Pablo Escobar Family Sues Former Exec ... You're Holding Our Channel Hostage!!!

Published

Don't mess with Pablo Escobar ... or the late drug lord's family, which is accusing a former exec of hijacking the Escobar YouTube channel, and trying to extort them.

Escobar Inc. is suing Daniel Reitberg, a former chief operating officer of the company, claiming the guy siphoned money out of the Escobars and is now holding their YouTube channel hostage.

In docs, obtained by TMZ, the company claims Reitberg quit last month, but not before raiding the corporate accounts and changing the password to the company's YouTube channel ... cutting off their access.

The company -- which once wanted to partner up with a famous L.A. "gringo" -- claims Reitberg set up corporate bank accounts for the purpose of collecting payments for Escobar merch sold on the YouTube channel ... which it says has generated more than $1 million in sales.

Escobar Inc. also claims Reitberg has made off with thousands of dollars and refuses to surrender the channel. They claim he's holding it ransom ... as a means to extort significant sums of money from the company. The company claims it has tried but failed to reason with him.

Courtrooms weren't really how Pablo handled disputes -- but his family company is now suing to get Reitberg to fork over the password, and for other damages.

Juice WRLD Fam Drops 'Righteous' Details Drug Use, Downward Spiral

Published

Juice WRLD's family has dropped a posthumous track from him, and its lyrics sadly foreshadow his eventual demise.

The late rapper's family dropped "Righteous" Thursday night and the track goes into extreme detail about his heavy drug use and the state of his mental health. Juice WRLD was never one to hold back his feelings, so it's no surprise the new song is so brutally honest.

His opening lyrics are proof Juice was more than ready to open up: "I know that the truth is hard to digest (yeah). Five or six pills in my right hand (yeah). Codeine runneth over on my nightstand. Taking medicine to fix all of the damage. My anxiety the size of a planet (oh). Holes in my skull over time. My heart's over ice (whoa) ... we may die this evening. Coughing, wheezing, bleeding."

Juice also talked about feeling like he was drowning with "my demons 10 feet under me. Inhale, exhale, but I can't breathe. Too busy drinking codeine, doing high speeds ... take a pill for the thrill, have a relapse."

This isn't the first time Juice has appeared prophetic. In his 2018 track "Legend," Juice had lyrics that included, "What's the 27 club? We ain't making it past 21."

TMZ broke the story ... Juice WRLD died in early December at Chicago's Midway Airport. As we first reported ... the 21-year-old rapper died from an accidental overdose of oxycodone. Witnesses said they saw him swallow a bunch of pills in an attempt to hide them from the feds. He ended up suffering a fatal seizure.

Jason Davis Cause of Death ... Accidental Fentanyl OD

Published

Child actor and Hollywood heir Jason Davis's cause of death was fentanyl ... according to the Medical Examiner.

L.A. County Medical Examiner documents show Jason died from the "effects of fentanyl." No other factors are listed in the report ... but it does say it was an accident.

TMZ broke the story ... Jason was found unresponsive in his bathroom on February 16. Law enforcement sources at the time told us there were items nearby that were consistent with heroin or opioid use ... including burnt tin foil and other paraphernalia.

Based on the ME's report ... the opioid would be fentanyl, and not heroin.

Jason -- known in Hollywood as the voice of Mikey Blumberg on the long-running Disney Channel show, "Recess" -- had battled addiction in the past. In 2011, he was busted and charged for allegedly having heroin on him. Those charges were eventually dropped.

He went on to co-found a charity called Cure Addiction Now, an org he was heavily involved with running. The voice actor was also known for being the grandson of the late Hollywood billionaire moguls, Marvin and Barbara Davis.

Jason was 35.

Trick Daddy Arrest White Powder In Dollar Bill ... Bombs Field Sobriety Test

Published | Updated

Trick Daddy had a white powdery substance tucked away in a dollar bill when cops pulled him over in Miami ... and then he bombed his field sobriety test.

TMZ's obtained bodycam footage of the rapper's arrest for cocaine possession and driving under the influence ... and you can clearly see the moment police discover what they say is cocaine residue on the inside of a dollar bill.

As you can see in the video ... cops are counting Trick Daddy's money on the trunk of his rental car when a white powdery substance starts falling like snow out of a crumpled dollar bill.

As we reported ... Trick Daddy was busted back in January and was booked for DUI and cocaine possession.

In the bodycam footage, Trick Daddy appears to have bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Cops ask him if he had anything to drink, and after saying he'd had a few drinks a couple hours ago, TD bombs a field sobriety test in a parking lot.

Trick Daddy also tried to pull the ol' "don't-you-know-who-I-am" card in the arrest video ... but it backfires.

'Mighty Ducks' Goalie On The Mend After Meth Bust ... Finally Looking Healthy!!!

Published | Updated

Shaun Weiss -- famous for playing Goldberg in "The Mighty Ducks" -- seems to be pulling out of his downward spiral, as he's looking much healthier than he has since his most recent meth bust.

Check out this pic of Shaun now ... he's no longer frail and disheveled. Instead, he's in great spirits and has apparently gained a lot of weight. He was having breakfast last month with his close friend, Drew Gallagher, when the picture was taken.

It's a good sign for Shaun who finally went to rehab in March after getting out of jail.

As we first reported ... Shaun's friends said they were desperate to get the troubled child star help before it was too late -- he was living on the streets and dealing with a slew of life-threatening problems before January's burglary and meth arrest.

When he got out of jail he checked into the recovery facility, but we're told he was recently transferred to a different one due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Our sources say Shaun was told he was at a higher risk of catching COVID-19 because he has diabetes and the original facility could no longer keep him with its main population. So, his team found the new rehab center.

This is, hands down, the best we've seen Shaun looking in a long while -- here's hoping he continues getting the help he needs.
