David Soul 'Starsky and Hutch' Star Dead at 80

Published | Updated

David Soul, famous for playing Detective Kenneth Hutchinson on the buddy cop TV series "Starsky and Hutch," is dead ... TMZ has learned.

The actor died Thursday at a hospital in London following a long term illness ... according to a family member. We're told David was surrounded by his family when he passed.

David suffered from a number of health issues in his life ... most notably chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He blames COPD on a half-century of smoking three packs of cigarettes daily.

His wife Helen Snell said the "beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother died yesterday after a valiant battle for life in the loving company of family. He shared many extraordinary gifts in the world as actor, singer, storyteller, creative artist and dear friend."

She added, "His smile, laughter and passion for life will be remembered by the many whose lives he has touched."

David became a pop icon in the 1970s in his starring role as Hutch, the blonde-haired, blue-eyed detective opposite Paul Michael Glaser as Detective Dave Starsky. He appeared in all 92 episodes from 1975-79, covering four seasons on TV, and also directed a few episodes.

After "Starsky and Hutch," David landed roles in the 1979 TV miniseries "Salem's Lot" and the  1980 TV movie "Homeward Bound."

David and Paul also reprised their roles as Starsky and Hutch with a cameo appearance in the 2004 movie remake, "Starsky & Hutch," with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.

Before his Hutch fame, David got started in Hollywood in the mid-1960s with small TV roles on shows like "Flipper," "I Dream of Jeannie," and "Star Trek" -- and, interestingly, Clint Eastwood was an early supporter of David's talent ... as he cast him as one of the cops co-starring with him in the 1973 Dirty Harry film, "Magnum Force."

He was also a very successful singer/songwriter ... scoring a number-one hit in 1976 with "Don't Give Up On Us."

David moved to the UK in the 90s and began starring in West End stage productions and British TV shows. He eventually became a British citizen in 2004.

He's survived by his wife and 6 children from previous relationships.

David was 80.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard Lots O' Guys Wanted Me During Prison ... But Ryan Is King!!!

Published

Gypsy Rose Blanchard says she had plenty of dudes lining up to be her boo while she was locked up, but none held a candle to the guy she ended up with ... her hubby Ryan Scott Anderson.

In an exclusive first look at the Lifetime series, "The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard," the former convict pulled back the curtain on the kind of support she was getting, specifically from men, while doing time in prison.

According to her, there was an overwhelming amount of guys trying to grab her attention, but she had her sights set on Ryan. As she put it, no one could compare to him ... and she goes even further by saying no one ever will.

She made that apparent Tuesday night when Ryan was facing the heat from trolls, telling him to block out the haters -- adding, "they jealous because you are rocking my world every night…yeah I said it, the D is fire🔥."

For those unaware, Ryan first reached out to Gypsy in 2020 after telling a female coworker he'd write to her, if the coworker agreed to send a letter to Joe Exotic from "Tiger King."

Starbucks Pink Stanley Cups RE$ELLING FOR BIG MONEY ONLINE ... Amid Target Store Chaos

Published

If people risking jail time for a mug -- like some are to nab a limited edition Stanley Quencher Starbucks cup -- here's what ya gotta know ... they're making tons of money on the resale market.

It's pretty wild, and a sign of the times ... the pink cups retail for $49.95 at Starbucks branches inside Targets, and folks who've been able to snag them are turning around, and hawking them online for hundreds of dollars.

The resellers are working hard for that big payday, though ... the only way to get the cups seems to be camping outside Target for hours, or fighting through massive crowds in scenes straight out of Black Friday.

Other people are going to even greater lengths to try and cash in -- like the guy who hopped a counter and tried, unsuccessfully, to steal a whole box of the pink goodies.

On eBay, the pink cups are going for $250 to $280 ... and Mercari has them on sale for $225 to $300.

Social media is a factor too ... Stanley cups are wildly popular on Instagram and TikTok ... so there's huge demand and limited supply.

Economics 101, folks.

Warren Moon Warns Baltimore Ravens ... Don't Rest Starters In Week 18!!!

THEY'RE THE BEST TEAM RIGHT NOW

Warren Moon says if he were coaching the Ravens, he wouldn't sit Lamar Jackson, Odell Beckham Jr. or any other starter this week -- telling TMZ Sports he believes the moves could seriously ruin their chances at a Super Bowl.

Of course, with the No. 1 seed in the AFC already locked up, John Harbaugh revealed earlier this week Jackson and several others will take a seat on the bench against the Steelers on Saturday in order to stay healthy for the postseason.

Moon, though, doesn't think that idea's so great ... explaining that because Baltimore has a bye in the first round of the playoffs, there's now a far greater chance the squad will be rusty when it finally kicks off its divisional round game in more than two weeks.

"As a football player," the Hall of Famer said, "you want to stay within that routine and that habit of what you've been going through the whole season to make you successful."

Moon said he's by no means advocating playing Jackson and co. the full game against Pittsburgh -- he just thinks a few series could mitigate any potential problems down the road.

"That's the only thing that concerns about this team and some of the guys that they're sitting down," the ex-quarterback said. "How sharp are they going to be in three weeks after going through a season where they're used to playing week after week after week?"

In addition to Jackson ... three other starters -- Beckham, Marlon Humphrey and Kevin Zeitler -- have already been ruled out. Star rookie Zay Flowers and star defensive back Kyle Hamilton appear poised to miss the game too.

Nonetheless, Moon still believes the Ravens have done enough to show him they're the NFL's best heading into 2024.

"They dominated against some of the best teams in the league," he said.

Jeffrey Epstein Victim Told to Name-Drop Dershowitz To Sell Her Book, According to Emails

Published | Updated

Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre was told to paint famed attorney Alan Dershowitz as a pedophile to make a book about her sex abuse claims more appealing to publishers ... according to newly unsealed court documents.

The docs, obtained by TMZ, include email correspondence between Giuffre and U.K. journalist Sharon Churcher from May 2011 ... Giuffre is telling Churcher she found a ghostwriter to pen her story, and says, "I wanted to put the names of these a**holes, oops I meant to say, pedo's, that J.E. sent me to."

Churcher's response ... "Don't forget Alan Dershowitz... JE's buddy and lawyer -good name for your pitch as he repped Claus von Bulow and a movie was made about that case."

Churcher added ... "We all suspect Alan is a pedo and tho no proof on that, you probably met him when he was hanging out with JE."

Attorneys for Esptein's close associate Ghislaine Maxwell -- who Guiffre is suing -- allege Giuffre only added Dershowitz to her manuscript after that exchange with Churcher ... but, even then, Giuffre did not allege she had sex with him, and only referred to Dershowitz as Epstein's business acquaintance.

According to the docs, Giuffre did not accuse Dershowitz of having sex with her until years later ... December 2014. Dershowitz has always denied that allegation.

Another email between Giuffre and Churcher includes an allegation about Bill Clinton and Vanity Fair.

Giuffre writes ... "When i was doing some research into VF yesterday, it does concern me what they could want to write about me considering that B. Clinton walked into VF and threatened them not to write sex-trafficking articles about his good friend J.E."

The unsealed documents are all related to Giuffre's 2015 civil lawsuit against Maxwell.

Logan Paul Buying Back $2.3M In CryptoZoo NFTs Suing Over Derailed Game

Published | Updated

Logan Paul says he's committing more than $2.3 million to right the wrongs of his failed CryptoZoo ... and he's also filing a lawsuit against the folks he claims derailed his game.

Logan's delivering on his promise to buy back Base Egg and Base Animal non-fungible tokens from CryptoZoo for their original purchase price ... via a website where investors can submit claims.

Remember ... Logan announced the CryptoZoo game back in 2021, billing the animated NFT project as "a really fun game that makes you money." The game reportedly drew inspiration from Pokémon and folks who paid .1 Ethereum were told they could hatch, breed, collect and trade  exotic animal hybrids on the blockchain. The first wave of 11,000 NFTs quickly sold out but CryptoZoo was never released.

Logan says he had "only the best possible intentions" for CryptoZoo and "never made a single penny from the project." He says he spent $400K developing the game and says it was completed in early 2023 but wasn't released due to "regulatory hurdles that would need to be cleared that I did not originally understand."

LP adds ... "Like you, I was highly disappointed the game was not delivered."

Logan says his $2.3 million buyback program "is a way for me to make whole those who intended to play CryptoZoo. The buyback is not intended to compensate those who gambled on the crypto market and lost."

In addition to the NFT buyback, Logan is also taking legal action ... claiming in a new lawsuit that CryptoZoo lead developer Eduardo Ibanez and "Crypto King" Jake Greenbaum are to blame for the game's failure and not him.

In the docs -- obtained by TMZ -- one of the first red flags in the project happened just after launch day, with suspicious trading activity happening ... where it appeared dozens of project outsiders somehow got info of the existence of the new market for ZOO Tokens.

The lawsuit claims the sketchy trading activity caused the market capitalization of ZOO Tokens to drop from about $130 million to $26 million.

As for CryptoZoo, Logan says the game will not be released ... but there still might be a chance for him to get some justice in court.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard Munchausen Org Condemns Mom's Murder But, Gypsy Will Help Thousands!!!

Published | Updated

Gypsy Rose Blanchard being free will do more good than bad for those suffering from Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy -- so says an org focusing on the rare behavioral disorder.

Andrea Dunlop, Founder of Munchausen Support -- the only nonprofit dedicated to helping victims and families impacted by Munchausen by Proxy -- tells TMZ ... she wishes Gypsy healing and peace after everything she went through at such a young age, and can't wait to hear her perspective.

She adds, "While we don't condone her actions with respect to her part in her mother's murder, she has served her time and has every right to share her experience in her own words, and it will undoubtedly shed light on this little understood form of abuse to the millions of people who have been captivated by her story."

Dunlop also tells us Munchausen by Proxy is actually far more common than people might be aware of -- and they think Gypsy's unique POV will actually lead to thousands of others coming forward to share their own stories of survival ... obviously a positive result.

Some of these lesser-known cases are covered in Dunlop's podcast, 'Nobody Should Believe Me,' and the org says more will likely surface now that Gypsy's back on the outside, and ready to share her history with the condition.

Bottom line ... yes, Gypsy did a bad thing -- but now that she's paid her debt to society ... she can clearly become an invaluable resource for others who might be silently suffering in a similar situation.

Considering how vocal GRB's been thus far ... something tells us she'll do just that.
