Jenna Dewan is officially divorcing Channing Tatum nearly seven months after the couple split ... TMZ has confirmed.

According to legal docs obtained by TMZ ... Jenna filed for divorce from Channing on Friday in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences.

In the docs, filed by powerhouse attorney Samantha Spector, Jenna is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their 5-year-old daughter, Everly. Jenna is also requesting spousal support.

We've obtained Channing's response ... and he's also asking for joint custody. Channing is seeking to block the court's ability to give Jenna spousal support.

Matt Damon's getting lit on the set of his latest movie ... no, really. Dude was set on fire.

Matt's jumpsuit was set ablaze -- the back of it, anyway -- while filming scenes of his new flick "Ford v. Ferrari" at a private airport outside of L.A. You can see a stunt coordinator apply the final touches on Matt's neck, back and ass.

Matt -- who plays the late race car driver/designer, Carroll Shelby -- then jumps into his classic whip before he and the car burst into flames. Matt, of course, was all good. He later gives 2 thumbs up. That's Hollywood magic, baby.

Megyn Kelly's spectacular fall at NBC will NOT affect the movie about Roger Ailes that features her ... because we're told her character as written is "very flawed" and consistent with what people know.

Sources connected with the production tell TMZ, Megyn's character, played by Charlize Theron, will not be rewritten in the wake of her racially insensitive comment that ultimately did her in at the Peacock network.

We've spoken with people who have read the script and they say Megyn is not portrayed as a hero in the story of FNC honcho Roger Ailes and a pattern of sexual harassment that went on for years.

We're told the script for the movie -- with the working title, "Fair and Balanced," showcases Megyn as "ambitious, hard-working and not highly intelligent." It's unclear from the script if her character is self-serving or righteous.

Kelly has said, during her tenure at FNC, Ailes tried to physically grab her and make out with her. She has said Ailes made lewd jokes and sexually suggestive comments to her. She says after repeatedly rebuffing his overtures, he asked her when her contract was up. Kelly never gave in and kept her job.

We're told Kelly's character does not come off as "an Erin Brockovich." She doesn't come off as a hero or, as one person who read the script said, "It's not like you say, 'Oh my God I love that girl!'"

The son of Dallas Cowboys football legend Don Meredith is getting behind the lens to direct a movie about the Army-Navy football game just days after the assassination of JFK.

Michael Meredith tells us the project -- "The President's Team" -- will center around the 1963 Naval team and the brotherhood formed between the men on the squad. Roger Staubach, who went on to QB the Cowboys after Don, is a centerpiece of the film.

A quick history refresher -- Kennedy was assassinated just days before the annual Army-Navy game that year, and was supposed to do the ceremonial coin toss. Many questioned if the game would still be played ... Jackie Kennedy ultimately gave the go-ahead.

Stacey Abrams -- the Georgia gubernatorial candidate who is gunning to become the first female African American to win a state's highest office -- is getting enormous financial help from some of the richest and most famous celebrities in the country.

By now you've probably seen ... Democrat Abrams is in a dead heat with Republican nominee Brian Kemp, and it's become the most-watched governor's race in the country.

There are limits on the amount people can donate -- $6,600 -- but lots of celebs have dug deep to support Abrams. It's interesting, she's been critical of Donald Trump, but not as much as other candidates. She's focusing more on health care, gun control and criminal justice.

The Internet misses nothing, which is why someone -- probably a 'Star is Born' fan -- compiled ALL these clips of Gaga gushing over her costar and director, Bradley Cooper. It's pretty clear LG stumbled upon the perfect expression of her gratitude toward Bradley for casting her in the lead role ... and she's sticking to that story ... many, many, MANY times.

Get the picture? We're pretty sure Bradley is the one person -- out of 100 -- who believes in Gaga.

Fact is, Gaga's probably done way more than 100 interviews in the last month ... promoting the movie's release and plugging it for an Oscar nomination -- and celebs in that situation usually try to come up with slightly different ways to say things.

Jessica Alba's morning got off to a rough start but she still had reason to smile ... she got off with just a warning after getting pulled over by cops.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Jessica was pulled over Wednesday morning in Bev Hills after cops said they saw her driving with her cell phone in hand. It's unclear if she was talking or texting, but either way -- Cali is a hands-free state ... so, big no-no.

We're told cops gave her a simple warning and she went on her merry way.

BTW ... this was NOT a case of cops giving her the celebrity treatment ... 'cause get this -- we're told the cop who stopped her had no idea it was Jessica Alba ... one of the hottest and most popular women in the world.

Ben Affleck's immersing himself in a new role that ya might say came along at the perfect time -- because he's playing an athlete-turned-addict who's trying to make a comeback.

Cameras were rolling in L.A. Monday as Ben filmed a scene for his new film, "Torrance," in which he stars as a former All-Star basketball player who's battling addiction while taking a high school coaching gig at his alma mater.

You can see he's pretty beefed up for the part, which explains those recent shots of him hitting the gym and showing off an impressive set of guns.

Ben completed a 40-day rehab stint for alcohol earlier this month, and is currently in outpatient care dealing with his real-life addiction issues. We broke the story ... his ex, Jennifer Garner, took him to rehab after she staged an intervention.

Jada Pinkett Smith says she doesn't try one-upping her husband, Will Smith, and vice versa ... and that, and other stuff, is why their marriage has lasted.

Jada had a super interesting chit chat with TMZ's Raquel Harper for her new show, "Raq Rants" on BET and shot down the idea that she and Will ever feel like they're competing with one another.

It's a good thing Jada doesn't keep tallies on that kind of stuff either, 'cause Will is all over the map in undertaking spectacular feats. He just bungee jumped out of a helicopter into the Grand Canyon earlier last month for his 50th birthday.

That isn't to say Jada doesn't try keeping up -- she just jumped out of a plane herself this month after getting inspiration from Will. Let's just call it even, guys.

DC Young Fly has nothing but high praise for Method Man and Redman -- and says he was highly disappointed when the OG stars didn't pop up on set of the latest "How High" sequel.

We got DC Monday in the Big Apple, and had to ask him about his new gig ... co-starring with Lil Yachty in "How High 2." For starters ... DC tells us the actual name of the made-for-TV flick. It's pretty damn fitting, honestly.

He also tells us how he's kept high hopes while shooting the movie in Atlanta ... for a potential Meth and Red cameo. No luck ... at least not yet. As we first reported, there's still a chance the duo could make a cameo in a future flick in the franchise.

Will Ferrell turned 22,000 soccer fans into RAGING LUNATICS on Sunday ... and the video is pretty great.

The comedy legend -- who's part owner of LAFC -- got hands-on with his futbol team's crowd in a game against Vancouver ... leading an epic chant that turned Banc of California Stadium into a zoo.

"Jump for LA Football Club, OLE! OLE!" Ferrell roared.

The stadium loved it ... and other angles of the chant revealed a DOPE scene.

Bad news for Will ... LAFC ended up tying the Whitecaps, 2-2, and is now in jeopardy of losing out on a top-two seed in the MLS' Western Conference.

Good news for Will ... L.A.'s still going to the playoffs, baby!!

Chris Hemsworth's wife is on the prowl, and he's happy to let her pounce ... on him.

Chris and Elsa Pataky enjoyed some serious PDA during a beach day trip to Byron Bay, Australia. They had their children in tow, but took a moment to spice things up -- this is how you got here, kids!

It's not every day Chris gets upstaged, but Elsa stole the show in her sultry leopard one-piece.

Don't worry ... Chris still showed off those abs after getting in some surfing. Walking around shirtless -- it's kinda Chris' thing, not that ANYone ANYwhere is complaining.

The verdict is in on Kevin Spacey ... at least as far as one Hollywood hot spot is concerned ... he's been 86'd from the restaurant's wall of fame mural.

Spacey used to have a prominent spot on the wall at Catch LA -- right next to NBA superstar and all-around good guy Chris Paul, and not far from Mr. Clean. Irony much? Now, he's been replaced by Sony Music honcho Clive Davis.

It's been a year since the wave of Spacey's sexual misconduct accusers started coming forward. There are multiple active investigations -- in the U.S. and the UK -- however, he has not been criminally charged.
