Ex-NBA star Ben Gordon was sending threatening videos to people in the days before a violent standoff with a woman in his NY gym ... TMZ Sports has learned.

FYI, Gordon was hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation over the weekend after cops responded to his business, Of Our Own -- a sports rehab and recovery center.

According to the police report, Gordon's girlfriend claimed Ben had locked her in the gym -- and was going berserk with a blade. Cops eventually went inside the gym, found Gordon in the bathroom and took him into custody. He was then transported to a nearby hospital.

But we know Ben's strange behavior has been going on for months -- he sent a video to several people he calls "bitch n*****" ... and dared them to "pull up" at his gym. He claims the men are wrongfully taking credit for launching the Of Our Own gym.

Former President George H.W. Bush is the latest person accused of sexual assault.

Actress Heather Lind says she was posing with the wheelchair-bound former Prez back in 2014 when he grabbed her from behind. She says, "I found it disturbing because I recognize the respect ex-presidents are given for having served," referring to a photo taken a few days ago with the 5 former presidents.

Lind goes on ... "But when I got the chance to meet George H.W. Bush four years ago to promote a historical television show I was working on, he sexually assaulted me while I was posing for a similar photo. He didn't shake my hand. He touched me from behind from his wheelchair with his wife Barbara by his side. He told me a dirty joke."

Lind says she was actually admonished by security, who told her she shouldn't have stood next to him.

Tyrese's ex-wife filed a police report against him after he hired a plane to fly a banner over his daughter's school and sent her various gifts.

The banner reading, "No matter what, Daddy loves you Shayla" flew over the 10-year-old's elementary school Monday in the Valley. Tyrese's ex, Norma Gibson, believes he hired the plane. Further, her attorney, Aleen Laura Khanjian, tells TMZ a bunch of gifts -- balloons, a fruit basket, teddy bear and a card -- were delivered to the school on Monday -- addressed to Shayla, from Dad.

Khanjian says Norma filed a police report because they have a temporary restraining order against Tyrese which prohibits him from any direct or indirect contact with Shayla and Norma. Norma is accusing Tyrese of spanking Shayla ... and the Dept. of Children and Family Services is investigating.

Norma's attorney believes the gestures are also a form of witness intimidation ... since DCFS could interview Shayla as part of its investigation.

Sources connected to Tyrese tell us he believes he is NOT in violation of the restraining order because he didn't have any personal contact with Shayla.

Welp, the cat's out the bag ... Kid Rock's NOT running for Senate.

Kid was talking to Howard Stern Tuesday on his Sirius XM radio show when the question came up, and the musician swiftly shot it down ... explaining it was just a joke he ran with.

He told Stern ... "F*** no, I'm not running for Senate. Are you kidding me?" He also went on to say, "It's the worst advice I ever gave myself, but it's been the most creative thing I've ever done. And I've gotten to see everyone's true colors."

He'd been dropping hints for months he was seriously considering a run -- going so far as to launch a campaign site and everything.

Looks like he had a change of heart ... good idea, Kid.

Teresa Giudice's posse was ready to open a can of whoop ass on our guy for asking her if she's broke ... and safe to say our guy learned his lesson.

Teresa and her crew were leaving Catch Monday night in WeHo when our poor bastard faced the wrath of Teresa's friend who threatened to beat his ass with her heels if he asked any more mean questions. Teresa has reportedly been dealing with her difficult financial state, but she blew off the "broke" suggestion.

Kendall Jenner is moving to Beverly Hills, and she's cozying up in Charlie Sheen's old digs ... which could spell trouble if she doesn't lock up.

Sources tell us Kendall recently purchased Charlie's old mansion in Bev Hills for a cool $8.5 million. Problem is, this is his infamous bachelor pad ... the same place his car got jacked and driven off a cliff.

You'll recall ... Kendall just got the hell out of WeHo this past summer after a string of scary incidents -- including an obsessed fan following her up her driveway ... and someone burglarizing the home. She paid $6.5 mil for that place -- looks like she shelled out a bit more for this one. It also looks like Charlie got less than what he wanted for it.

We can't blame her for zeroing in on Charlie's mansion, though -- at five bedrooms, six baths and a courtyard for Kings (or Queens) ... the purchase seems like a no-brainer.

Eduardo Yanez won't get away clean for slapping a Univision reporter -- not if the reporter gets his way in court ... TMZ has learned.

Paco Fuentes is suing Yanez for the red carpet attack that went viral nearly 2 weeks ago. In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Fuentes says Yanez hit him so hard -- as seen in the video -- it caused people around him to "literally freeze in shock."

Fuentes says Yanez continued menacing him by standing and staring at him in the moments after the slap. He's suing the Mexican soap star for assault and battery and emotional distress.

According to the suit, Yanez has shown no remorse because he qualifies his so-called apologies by saying things like, "My private life is not for sale." As we reported, Fuentes had asked Yanez a question about why he didn't pay for his son's damaged car after a car accident.

Yanez told us he IS sorry. He's also under criminal investigation by LAPD.

Marcin Gortat thinks it's hilarious LaVar Ball said his Wizards should be afraid of Lonzo Ball ... telling LaVar that his teammate, John Wall, is gonna "TORTURE" the rookie.

The Big Baller Dad issued a warning to the Wiz -- who are set to play Lonzo's Lakers on Wednesday -- after L.A. dropped to 1-2 on Sunday ...

Stephen says Mel packed up 10 boxes of his belongings, which he picked up on Oct. 4 -- but he was shocked at what was NOT in the boxes. He says he was expecting to see his personal baby pics, clothes, shoes and paperwork.

Instead, he says all he got were Mel's old clothes, some crappy used towels and his step daughter Angel's clothes. Stephen thinks Mel trashed his stuff in retaliation. He's filed docs asking the judge to let him go on a search and recover mission.

Remember, Mel has a restraining order against Stephen -- but he's requesting a 2-3 hour reprieve, so he can go into the house and get his stuff.

Harvey Weinstein was proudly a bully and a womanizer -- but kept his sexual preying on women secret from his inner circle ... according to Matt Damon and George Clooney.

Matt spoke out about the Weinstein scandal Monday on 'GMA,' and said he'd never seen Harvey assault anyone, but was aware of the Gwyneth Paltrow incident. Still, he says he only saw Weinstein treat Gwyneth "incredibly respectfully."

George said it was beyond infuriating that Weinstein was silencing women, but thinks the scandal will finally shut down the infamous casting couch ... IF Hollywood reacts the right way.

Weinstein ended a one-week rehab treatment program. As for second chances -- Clooney and Damon don't sound too open to the idea.

Kathy Griffin has apparently cut off her old attorney, Lisa Bloom ... and it all seems to be traced back to her Trump beheading photo and subsequent press conference.

Kathy tweeted (without much context) early Sunday morning, telling @LisaBloom to "pls stop calling me" and that if she wanted to talk ... she'd have to refund her the "tens of thousands of $$ I wasted on your services" for Kathy to even consider it.

Lisa responded Sunday afternoon claiming Kathy's attacks were unwarranted ... adding she even went way off script during their press conference back in June. You'll recall ... Kathy said President Trump and his family were bullying her, and attempting to ruin her career.

As you watch the video now ... you see Lisa staring at Kathy in disbelief as she speaks. Lisa says Kathy is her first client to not stick to prepared comments they both agreed to -- she also says she got death and rape threats as a result of partnering with Kathy.

Still ... Lisa says she wishes Kathy the best, and even thinks she meant no ill will with the photo. In other words ... see ya.

Harry Styles is a true professional ... considering he acted like nothing happened when an overzealous fan reached up and grabbed his crotch while he was performing in L.A.

Harry was doing a show Saturday night at the Hollywood Bowl, when -- in the middle of one of his songs -- someone reached up from the front row and copped a feel of his goods ... which he quickly batted away and ignored as he went back upstage.

Harry hasn't addressed the groping yet, but you can clearly see he wasn't down with it ... and many have even come out to call it sexual assault ... in a time when the subject is at the forefront in Hollywood.

Sean Penn is using a full-court press to either block or re-edit a Netflix documentary that suggests Penn ratted out El Chapo by alerting the United States Dept. of Justice of his whereabouts.

Multiple sources involved in the documentary -- due out Friday -- tell TMZ, some of the people interviewed suggest that Penn alerted the DOJ that he was traveling down to a secret location in Mexico to interview the drug kingpin for a Rolling Stone article.

TMZ has obtained an email from David Broome, the Executive Producer of "The Day I Met El Chapo: The Kate del Castillo Story," in which he worries ... "My concern is that we are taking an immense amount of pressure from all directions related to Sean Penn and currently Netflix has done a great job of hanging tough -- but their nerves are on edge."

Broome goes on ... "I'm worried that there's a chance Netflix hits the brakes for a while."

Penn, del Castillo and 2 others met Chapo on Oct. 2, 2015. Twelve hours after the meeting, Mexican authorities raided the site but Chapo had already left. He was captured 3 months later.

We've learned several lawyers working for Penn repeatedly contacted Netflix to, at the very least, eliminate any references to their client allegedly contacting DOJ prior to meeting Chapo.

Our sources say Penn's concern is that if Chapo's associates in the world of drugs believe he set Chapo up for capture, there'd be a target on the heads of Penn, his family and his associates.

Penn's spokesperson, Mark Fabiani, tells TMZ, "It is reprehensible that, in their ongoing, relentless efforts to gain additional attention and publicity, Ms. del Castillo and her team (who have zero firsthand knowledge) have sought to create this profoundly false, foolish, and reckless narrative."

The rep goes on, "The notion that Mr. Penn or anyone on his behalf alerted DOJ to the trip is a complete fabrication and bald-faced lie. It never happened, nor would there have been any reason for it to have happened."

O'Shea Jackson Jr. says there's one way Gordon Hayward could've avoided that gruesome bone-snapping leg injury this week -- "Should've been a Laker."

"I feel bad for Gordon Hayward," the "Straight Outta Compton" star told us on the way out of Delilah in West Hollywood ... "but that's that Celtic luck!"
