Harvey Weinstein will be hit with new sex crime charges ... TMZ has learned.

The L.A. County D.A. is getting ready to announce the indictment revolving around several women and the alleged assaults that occurred both in L.A. and Beverly Hills ... so says the D.A.

We're told there will be 4 charges -- forcible rape, forcible oral copulation, sexual penetration by use of force and sexual battery by restraints.

Ricky Gervais went scorched earth to kick off the 77th Golden Globes ... taking shots at the biggest names in the room ... and a couple who weren't there.

The host opened Sunday night's award show with a beer in hand and a promise to offend people ... starting with Felicity Huffman's prison sentence, Joe Pesci's size and Leonardo DiCaprio's dating life.

The Leo jab was related to the 3-hour-long "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" -- Ricky joked by the time the premiere was over, Leo's date was too old for him. He added Prince Andrew -- an old Jeffrey Epstein acquaintance -- even thought Leo's GFs are too young.

Gervais openly stated his 5th time hosting the Globes would be his last, so he was going out with a bang -- also taking down R. Kelly, Michael Jackson and even his bosses at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association ... which runs the GG.

Two big names stepped up in big ways to help 2 people who found themselves in separate emergency situations -- Shaquille O'Neal and Andrew Cuomo.

In a wild coincidence Monday in NYC, both the NBA Hall of Famer and the Governor of New York came upon a couple of scary incidents ... and jumped to action to help out.

Sources tell TMZ ... Shaq was driving through the East Village when he noticed a woman passed out on the ground. He hopped out of his car and, along with a few other caring citizens, helped stop traffic and waited with the woman until an ambulance arrived.

We're told the woman may have been diabetic and fainted in the crosswalk.

Meanwhile, on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway ... Gov. Cuomo was leaving an event for A Better New York when he came across a vehicle involved in an accident. He reportedly helped cut the passenger out of his seat belt and, as you can see in the video ... helped pull the guy out to safety.

Fortunately, it seems like both people are going to be okay ... thanks to the assists from Shaq and Cuomo.

The common thread in both incidents -- impatient people honking their horns to speed things along.

Australia is starting to look like Mars ... thick red smoke from the devastating wildfires is filling the air above the continent, and it's causing hell for the Aussie air force.

Check out this insane video from the cockpit of a Royal Australian Air Force plane ... the flight instruments are going crazy and the pilots can't see anything but a dense orange haze.

One of the RAAF's top commanders just shared the shocking footage on social media, and he says his best pilots are facing incredibly daunting flying conditions as they try to carry out support missions to areas hit hardest by the deadly fires.

The RAAF says it's taking several attempts for military aircraft to reach parts of New South Wales and Victoria. Planes and helicopters are airlifting firefighters and rescuing folks trapped in isolated towns destroyed by the flames.

As you know ... over 13-million acres have been engulfed in flames, and the prospects for the future are grim. NSW has 146 fires alone, and the summer heat is still raging on.

It's a huge crisis ... the fires have killed an estimated half-a-billion wild animals and at least 24 people, with over 1,500 homes going up in smoke.

Brat Pitt thanked all the usual suspects after winning a Golden Globe -- except his children, which was an intentional and strategic move for their well-being.

If you missed it ... Pitt took home the Best Supporting Actor award Sunday night for his role in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." He shouted out fellow nominees, director Quentin Tarantino, costar Leonardo DiCaprio and also his parents -- but he made no mention of his 6 kids.

It was a curious omission, but our sources closely connected to Brad say this is par for the course -- he never mentions them publicly and wants it to remain that way. We're told he feels this is the best way to maintain their privacy, because he knows simply acknowledging his children in a speech could attract unwanted attention.

Lady Gaga poured her heart out to Oprah ... revealing she suffered a "psychotic break" triggered by sitting for a deposition.

The "A Star is Born" star opened up to Oprah over the weekend in a candid interview for the host's "2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus" tour at BB&T Center in Fort Lauderdale. Lady Gaga revealed a deposition triggered her "psychotic break."

She never said why and when she was deposed, but the only deposition that's been reported involving Gaga was in September 2017 ... was for Dr. Luke's defamation lawsuit against Kesha.

Gaga described the medical crisis as her brain flat-lining -- an experience she said she'd never wish upon anyone.

The singer told Oprah she's battling chronic pain, saying she was hurting at the moment they were speaking -- "Even sitting here with you today I'm in head-to-toe pain." She attributed the pain to fibromyalgia ... a disorder that causes muscle and bone pain.

The pain was so severe, LG says, "My whole body started tingling and I started screaming. I was in a hospital." That being said, the singer says she's finally at peace with her health.

After the interview, Oprah and Lady Gaga had an emotional moment backstage.

Gaga also talked more about being repeatedly raped at 19 by someone she knew -- something she first revealed last month.

As Harvey Weinstein's criminal trial in NYC gets underway ... one of his most prominent accusers, Rose McGowan, is delivering a strong message to him.

The actress was one of many Weinstein accusers who showed up Monday to the Manhattan courthouse where jury selection began in the disgraced producer's trial. Rose said she was there to see justice served.

She told reporters Weinstein had no one to blame but himself for his woes, and that she had no sympathy for him. He showed up, btw, hobbling into court with the use of a walker.

Rose vowed to see the trial through, side-by-side with other women he's allegedly harmed ... all in hopes of giving a voice to the voiceless. She says while he might've thought they'd stay silent, they didn't ... and they're going to face him in court.

She got emotional and gave a shout-out to the women who will actually testify against Weinstein. As she says, they'll have the largest burden, and made it clear she's in their corner.

Weinstein faces 5 charges relating to sexual misconduct -- including a count of rape and predatory sexual assault ... which, if proven, could send him to prison for the rest of his life.

Jeffrey Epstein's autopsy has revealed how he may have killed himself in his jail cell, as photos show nooses fashioned from orange bedsheets ... and the bloody neck wound from where he hanged himself ... but some experts think it could have been murder.

The photographs were obtained by "60 Minutes" and shown Sunday night during an interview about Epstein's apparent suicide and the conspiracy theories that have followed. Along with pics of the nooses and Epstein's neck and dead body, there's also a photo of a handwritten note found in his cell.

The note seemingly contains complaints Epstein jotted down about prison conditions, including "Kept me in a locked shower stall for 1 hr," "sent me burnt food" and "Giant bugs crawling over my hands. NO FUN!!"

There's also a photo of Epstein's prescription medicine bottles and other meds, like a bottle of Milk of Magnesia.

The conspiracy theories surrounding Epstein's death have been fueled in part by forensic expert Dr. Michael Baden, who claims evidence suggests he was strangled and murdered more so than suicidal hanging.

Kanye West has taken his Sunday Service all over North America -- from Coachella to a Houston megachurch to Skid Row and all the way to Jamaica -- but now he wants to head further overseas.

TMZ's learned the rapper plans to go global with his gospel movement in 2020, and has his sights set on locations in Europe and Africa to start. We're told his muse and sole focus in the new year is to bring the word of God to people via his Sunday Service.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. has almost cracked a murder case involving YG's vehicle, and now they're asking for the public's help in solving the mystery.

TMZ broke the story back in July ... his SUV was involved in a high-speed chase through the streets of L.A. that ended in a deadly police shootout.

Police were originally called to apprehend a reckless DUI suspect in YG's Escalade. While they were chasing the suspect, deputies say someone in the SUV opened fire, killing a 65-year-old man on a bike.

YG told TMZ at the time, "I was nowhere near the scene of this incident and had been in a recording studio all day in Hollywood. I was there until after midnight on the Fourth of July and didn't learn of these events until after they happened."

G Herbo just pled guilty in his battery case ... and he's avoiding time behind bars, as long as he keeps his nose clean.

TMZ broke the story ... the rapper was busted in Atlanta back in April after police said he assaulted the mother of his child, Ariana Fletcher, during an argument. He was facing one count of misdemeanor battery for allegedly dragging his baby mama by her hair and scratching the hell outta her arm.

G Herbo entered his guilty plea Monday, according to the Fulton County Solicitor's Office, and he was sentenced to 12 months of probation and 150 hours of community service. We're told he also has to attend a 24-week family violence intervention program.

G Herbo's lawyer, Tanya Miller, tells us he's "eager put this incident behind him and to move on with his life and his work—both in the studio and in the community."

Two 'Jeopardy' champs hit a daily double of sorts by giving the exact same answer to the question of who could replace Alex Trebek ... and they're both probably right.

Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter were in midtown Manhattan Monday, where they seemed to be doing press to hype up Tuesday's 'Greatest of All Time' episode, which pits KJ, BR and the new kid on the block, James Holzhauer, against each other for 'Jeopardy' G.O.A.T.

On their way into a building, they were asked if they had any advice for an average Joe who might find themselves on the show one day -- and while Ken had a somewhat snarky answer, Brad actually offered interesting insight ... don't guess.

Then the conversation moved on to Trebek -- who's fighting stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and who's alluded -- to us and others -- that he'd hang up his hosting gig if he feels he can't carry on.

The 2 stars both attended the CAA after-party at the Sunset Tower Hotel Sunday night, following the 77th Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton ... where they also sat in close proximity.

Of course, both Brad and Jen were nominated for awards -- he for Best Supporting Actor in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" and she for Best Actress in "The Morning Show" -- so they had good reason to keep the party going at the talent agency bash.

The suspended Cleveland Browns superstar made a rare public appearance at the L.A. Lakers game at Staples Center on Sunday ... and he was pretty easy to spot -- wearing a bright orange jacket.
