Kobe Bryant Vanessa Asks Judge to Include Capri in Kobe's Trust

Published | Updated

Vanessa Bryant has filed legal docs to protect all of her children ...she's asking a judge to amend Kobe's trust so she can provide for their youngest daughter, Capri, who was born after the most recent trust document was drafted and signed.

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ Sports, Kobe created a trust to provide for Vanessa and his kids way back in 2003. The trust was amended several times, most recently in 2017. It seems every time one of their 4 children was born, they amended the trust to include them.

Problem is ... Capri was born 9 months ago and it didn't seem like there was a mad rush to amend the document again, since Kobe was healthy and young. Obviously, no one could have anticipated the tragedy that befell the family when both Kobe and Gigi were killed in a helicopter crash last January.

Vanessa is asking the judge to include Capri, and explains it was clearly Kobe's intent to provide for his children. He even says so generally in one on the documents.

It seems pretty certain a judge will allow the amendment.

According to the trust agreement, Vanessa, Natalia and Bianka can draw from the principal and income in the trust during Vanessa's lifetime, and then her kids get the remainder upon her death. Vanessa wants to include Capri in that distribution.

'When They See Us' Netflix, Ava DuVernay Sued By Ex-Prosecutor Fairstein

Published | Updated
UPDATE

7:52 AM PT -- A rep for Netflix tells us, "Linda Fairstein's frivolous lawsuit is without merit. We intend to vigorously defend When They See Us and Ava DuVernay and Attica Locke, the incredible team behind the series."

Linda Fairstein, the woman who helped prosecute the now-vindicated Central Park 5, is suing Netflix and director Ava DuVernay over her portrayal in "When They See Us."

Fairstein filed the federal suit Wednesday, saying she fired off a warning to DuVernay before her series was released. Fairstein says she was concerned she would be portrayed in a false and defamatory manner. She says it fell on deaf ears because Ava's only response was Linda had no right to object before seeing the series.

Once it came out in June 2019, Fairstein says every episode in which she appears portrayed her as a "racist, unethical villain who is determined to jail innocent children of color at any cost."

In the suit, obtained by TMZ, Fairstein objects to nearly every single aspect of the case ... as it's portrayed in the series. She denies taking any of the following actions: unlawfully interrogating unaccompanied minors, calling for a roundup of "young black" thugs, manipulating the timeline to pin the jogger's rape on the Central Park 5, referring to people of color as animals, directing NYPD detectives to coerce confessions, and suppressing DNA evidence.

If you've seen the critically acclaimed series, you know that's the entire plot. So, Fairstein is claiming it's ALL a lie, as far as her role in the case.

Fairstein says after "When They See Us" was released her career as a prolific crime author was destroyed. Her publisher and agents dropped her, she lost speaking appearances and was forced to resign from the boards of several non-profit organizations.

Fairstein is suing Netflix, DuVernay and her co-writer, Attica Locke, for defamation. She wants a public apology, removal of the scenes she calls false, and a disclaimer added that labels the series as a dramatization and NOT a true story. She also wants damages.

LAPD Lady Allegedly Threatens to Cough on Cop ... I'll Give You Coronavirus!!!

Published | Updated

Coronavirus seems to have folks thinking they can do as they please -- one LAPD officer claims he experienced it firsthand with a rogue, and possibly contagious, car parker.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... a cop in L.A. came across a woman this weekend whom he says was parked in a handicap spot without a proper placard, and when he approached her over the violation ... we're told things turned sickly.

Our sources say the woman almost instantly became combative with the officer, threatening to cough on him and give him coronavirus ... something she claimed she'd contracted.

Well, that didn't deter the cop ... we're told he arrested her for felony criminal threats. Unclear if the woman actually had COVID-19, but in any case ... we're told the officer gloved up for the bust and washed up after.

As for whether the criminal threat charge will stick, that's also hard to say for sure -- as we're told something like that is considered a wobbler -- meaning if she's eventually charged, the D.A. has the option to leave it a felony, or reduce to a misdemeanor.

Nonetheless, it's pretty crazy that an alleged parking violation escalated to a viral face-off. Crazy times, indeed.

Nicki Minaj's Husband Judge Cool with Pre-Trial Web Surfing Internet Restriction Lifted

Published | Updated
UPDATE

11:51 AM PT -- A judge just granted Kenneth's request to have internet restrictions lifted as part of the conditions of his pre-trial release. With the court's order now in place, the guy's free to continue surfing the World Wide Web again.

Nicki Minaj's husband really wants to get back to surfing the Internet ... something he's currently barred from doing due to his pending criminal case.

Kenneth Petty just submitted legal docs, obtained by TMZ, begging a California judge to allow him to use the World Wide Web.

As you know ... Kenneth recently registered as a sex offender in Cali after getting arrested for allegedly failing to do so when he moved to the state with Nicki. One of the terms of his pretrial release -- he can't use the web unless approved by a supervisor.

According to the docs, prosecutors have already agreed to Kenneth's request ... so now, it's up to the judge to sign off.

BTW ... Petty's status as a sex offender stems from a 1995 New York conviction for first-degree attempted rape.

Kenneth, who pled not guilty to failing to register as a sex offender, has a curfew and is being required to wear an ankle monitor as he waits for next month's court date. His travel is also restricted to Southern California.

Sounds pretty boring ... especially offline.

Jennifer Lawrence Intruder Strolls in Her Front Door ... Busted by Security Team

Published | Updated

Jennifer Lawrence got a rude awakening to cap off her weekend -- cops say a female intruder sauntered right into her crib ... and the way she did it was too damn easy.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... a woman entered JLaw's L.A.-area home Sunday around 9:15 PM PT. We're told the woman was totally unexpected, but still ... went right through the front doors, which were NOT locked.

Even more frightening ... our sources say Jennifer was actually home at the time of the break-in -- unclear if her new hubby, Cooke Maroney, was there ... but JLaw's hired muscle certainly was.

We're told security on hand nabbed the 23-year-old woman before she could make contact with Jennifer. They called the police and the woman was arrested for misdemeanor trespassing. As for why she was there?

Our sources say the woman told police she simply wanted to meet the actress. Get in line, lady.

Ronaldinho Plays Soccer In Paraguay Prison ... Wins Trophy Pig?!?

Published

Life behind bars ain't too bad for Ronaldinho ... the soccer legend joined a prison league futbol tournament last week -- and reportedly won a pig for dominating the games!!

If ya missed it ... the 39-year-old Brazilian has been locked away in Paraguay prison after officials say he entered the country using a fake passport.

Dinho has been at the facility for about two weeks ... but he's clearly making the most of it -- because the dude joined a soccer league with other inmates and CRUSHED it.

Videos and pictures surfaced of the former Ballon d'Or winner out on the asphalt with the guys ... and according to witnesses, his teams had no trouble piling up wins.

In fact, reports say Ronaldinho and his squad not only got a cool trophy for all the Ws ... they even earned a prized pig for the championship!!

It's a pretty cool moment for Ronaldinho, considering the circumstances ... but it doesn't seem anyone's too worried about a lengthy stay behind bars for the former soccer superstar.

His attorneys have reportedly called the whole passport incident a misunderstanding ... saying Ronaldinho didn't know the documents were fake.

Ronaldinho -- who had traveled to the country for a charity event -- is reportedly facing up to 6 months in prison.

DaBaby Sued for Vicious Concert Slap ... Alleged Victim Says He's Gotta Pay!!!

Published | Updated

DaBaby just got slapped back ... with a lawsuit from the woman who claims the rapper smacked the hell outta her at a recent concert.

Tyronesha Laws just filed the suit, claiming she was minding her own damn business when the rapper, "suddenly and without any warning," lashed out and brutally and violently struck her in the face last weekend during his Tampa gig.

In docs, obtained by TMZ, Tyronesha says she was in the crowd of concertgoers waiting for DB to take the stage. She says he did not simply walk on the stage to begin his performance, and instead, proceeded through the crowd with his entourage, and "without incident." Until he got to her.

She claims DaBaby expressed no remorse for his slap and points out the rapper made fun of the situation on social media when he posted a skit featuring comedian Michael Blackson.

Laws' attorneys, Matt Morgan and Chelsea Cromer of Morgan and Morgan, say the incident was "outrageous and shocking." Her legal team added, "Our goal is to deter similar conduct in the future and send a message that this type of behavior is not tolerated in America."

The woman on the receiving end of DaBaby's brutal slap, Tyronesha Laws, tells TMZ ... the rapper's mea culpa is not sincere because he's cracking jokes about the incident on social media.
FEELIN' LET DOWN

Remember, Tyronesha told us she was NOT the person who put a phone right in DaBaby's face. She insists she was standing next to the person who did that when DB unleashed his anger.

On the other hand, DB's lawyer, Drew Findling, told us Laws is NOT the person his client slapped and added alleged victims are coming out of the woodwork.

Laws is suing for battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and other damages. We've reached out to DaBaby, so far, no word back.

DaBaby Yes, I Slapped Someone ... But It's Not Her!!!

Published | Updated

DaBaby is vehemently denying a woman's claim she was on the receiving end of his vicious slap -- the rapper admits hitting someone, but says alleged victims are coming outta the woodwork.

We broke the story ... DaBaby brutally assaulted a fan before his Saturday night gig in Tampa while walking through the crowd. Tyronesha Laws claims she's the one DaBaby slapped, but his legal team says not so fast.

DaBaby's attorney, Drew Findling, tells TMZ ... enhanced video shows DaBaby slapping an individual who struck his left eye with what appears to be a phone with the flashlight on -- NOT the person standing to the left or the right of the individual shoving the phone in his face.

The woman on the receiving end of DaBaby's brutal slap, Tyronesha Laws, tells TMZ ... the rapper's mea culpa is not sincere because he's cracking jokes about the incident on social media.
FEELIN' LET DOWN

That's interesting because Tyronesha told us she was standing next to a young lady who reached with a phone -- flashlight activated -- toward DaBaby right before he allegedly smacked her in the face.

Findling says his law firm has been contacted by multiple people claiming to be the victim, but they haven't been able to establish the real identity.

I COULDN'T SEE WHO IT WAS

DaBaby's already apologized to the woman he struck, saying he thought he was hitting a guy and couldn't tell the difference because of the light in his face.

Clearly not the greatest explanation for the violence

Tyronesha told us DaBaby's apology rings hollow because he's making fun of it in a social media skit with Michael Blackson -- but now DaBaby says the mea culpa ain't for her in the first place.

Harvey Weinstein Gets 23 Years in Prison ... Victims Speak Out In Court

Published | Updated
UPDATE

12:06 PM PT -- Miriam Haley and Jessica Mann each spoke before the sentencing .... and their victim impact statements are gut-wrenching. Miriam recalled her troubling encounter with Weinstein in 2006 at his SoHo apartment ... calling the last couple of years excruciatingly stressful while living in fear and paranoia on a daily basis, in fear of retaliation.

UPDATE
UPDATE

Mann referenced Weinstein's immense physical stature, weight, height and "ox like strength" he used to prevent her from leaving. She said, "I ask you to consider the horrors of being rendered immobile by my own biological response, while I had to endure his penis, raping me on his time, as slow as he wanted while he pleasured himself inside my body. I wish I had been able to fight him while he raped me."

UPDATE

Mann also claimed Weinstein once threatened her father "with an old school mafia bat beat down -- my father who was dying of cancer at the time."

UPDATE

10:57 AM PT -- Even before he finds out which NY state prison he's serving his 23 years, Weinstein could be heading west. The L.A. County D.A.'s Office says it's already started the extradition process to have him face sexual assault charges. There's no date set yet for his arraignment.

UPDATE

10:12 AM PT -- Weinstein left the courthouse in a wheelchair, and corrections officers loaded him into the transport bus returning him to Rikers Island. He'll remain there for now, until he's transferred to an upstate NY prison.

Harvey Weinstein will likely die in prison -- he just got sentenced to 23 years in his NY state criminal case.

The 67-year-old disgraced movie mogul faced the judge Wednesday at his sentencing, and even spoke briefly. Several of his accusers, including the women who testified against him, were in the court as well.

Model Tarale Wulff was there ... so was Annabella Sciorra, Lauren Young and Jessica Mann, just to name a few.

Before the sentence was announced, Weinstein directly addressed his accusers in court, saying, "I have great remorse for all of you. I have great remorse for all women."

And yet ... Weinstein also said he was "totally confused" by the charges against him. He added, "I think men are confused about all of this ... this feeling of thousands of men and women who are losing due process, I'm worried about this country. This is not the right atmosphere in the United States of America."

He also said, "If I had to do a lot of things over I would care less about movies and more about my children and my family." He admitted he'd been unfaithful to both of his ex-wives and apologized to them.

He wrapped up his statement with, "I really feel remorse for this situation. I feel it deeply in my heart."

After court, Weinstein's accusers walked out -- some of them arm-in-arm -- to applause and chants of "Justice!"

As we reported, Weinstein's lawyers begged for mercy earlier this week, asking the judge to sentence him to 5 years because -- among other things -- he has no prior criminal record, and his life and career had already been destroyed.

His legal team also pointed to huge charitable contributions, including millions for 9/11 firefighters and police officers.

It didn't work.

Weinstein was facing a maximum prison sentence of 29 years after being convicted by a jury last month of Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree and Rape in the Third Degree. Prosecutors were pushing for a harsh sentence, claiming Weinstein had shown a total lack of remorse. He seemed to be responding to that with his statement in court.

Of course, he is, by all accounts, in very poor health ... so, Weinstein could be spending much -- if not all -- of his remaining years behind bars.

As for where Weinstein will do his time -- he'll most likely be shipped to a maximum-security prison in upstate New York. Weinstein has been staying in an infirmary unit at Rikers Island while awaiting sentencing.

Don't forget ... he also has a pending criminal case in L.A. to face.

Harvey Weinstein Asks Judge for Mercy ... 5 Years in Prison

Published | Updated

Harvey Weinstein is asking the judge who will sentence him Wednesday for mercy ... a 5-year prison sentence.

Weinstein's lawyers filed legal docs late Monday, laying out personal matters they want the judge to consider in handing down the sentence.

For starters, the lawyers honed in on Ronan Farrow's New Yorker article ... "Since the New Yorker article was published in 2017, Mr. Weinstein's life has been destroyed. His wife divorced him, he was fired from The Weinstein Company, and in short, he lost everything."

The lawyer goes on to describe "his fall from grace [as] historic, perhaps unmatched in the age of social media."

The lawyer asks the judge to consider that Weinstein otherwise has no criminal history. The lawyer tried reopening the case by writing, "Both [victims] continued consensual relationships with Mr. Weinstein after the alleged assaults and contacted him for jobs, tickets, and professional advice."

The lawyer also wants the judge to give weight to Weinstein's charitable contributions, including millions for the 9/11 firefighters and police officers. He also helped raise $2.5 billion for the Robin Hood org.

The lawyer wrote, "...the trial did not fairly portray who he is as a person. His life story, his accomplishments, and struggles are simply remarkable and should not be disregarded in total because of a jury's verdict."

67-year-old Weinstein faces a maximum of 29 years in prison for a Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree and Rape in the Third Degree. Prosecutors have asked the judge to impose a sentence that reflects the seriousness of his offenses, his total lack of remorse and the need to deter him from engaging in further criminal conduct.

Nicki Minaj Hubby Registers as CA Sex Offender ... Classic 'Over-It' Mug Shot

Published | Updated

Nicki Minaj's husband finally got his ducks in a row on the West Coast -- getting himself registered as a sex offender, and looking kinda ticked off in the process.

Kenneth Petty is now entered into the California Megan's Law database, which tracks sex offenders in the state. We don't know exactly what day he was registered, but it was clearly very soon after his arrest on Wednesday last week -- so a matter of days, really.

He's listed as 5'9", 170lbs ... and has a Bev Hills address. Check out his booking photo too -- Ken doesn't look very happy to be in custody.

TMZ broke the story ... KP was initially picked up by cops after a traffic stop last year in Bev Hills -- prosecutors say that's when they discovered he was registered as a sex offender in NY, but not yet on the books in California.

He was charged by the L.A. County D.A. for not registering ... before the feds arrested him last week for the same crime. While the L.A. County charge has been dropped, Petty will be back in court next month for the federal case -- and he has to wear an ankle monitor until then.

He also has to keep his nose clean substance-wise -- one of the conditions of his bond is no drugs, including legal weed.

Petty's sex offender status stems from a 1995 NY conviction for first-degree attempted rape.

City Girls JT Released From Federal Custody ... So Long, Halfway House!!!

Published | Updated

City Girls member JT is tasting freedom ... because we've learned the rapper is outta federal custody after spending the last part of her sentence in a halfway house.

JT was officially released Friday, the Federal Bureau of Prisons tells TMZ. Remember, she'd been in custody since June 2018 after turning herself in on identity theft charges.

As you can imagine, JT's grateful to be home ... posting a ton of selfies Saturday and saying it's the first time she's woken up in her own bed in 2 years!

JT's not completely outta the woods, because legal docs show she's on probation for a year.

According to the terms of her supervised release, JT has to take a drug test within the first 15 days, and she can't have controlled substances or a firearm ... aaand she has to perform 200 hours of community service.

JT went to prison just as the City Girls were getting super famous ... and her counterpart Yung Miami hooked her up with some custom bling as a welcome home gift.

Jussie Smollett 'Attackers' Abel & Ola Flash Acting Chops ... Bizarre Comedy Sketch

Published

Jussie Smollet's alleged "attackers" Abel and Ola Osundairo are showing off their acting skills in a new sketch that's supposed to be comedic ... but really just looks weird as hell.

Our sources tell us, Abel and Ola recently shot the sketch as a way to showcase their acting chops and get back into the industry. We're told it's entitled "50 Shades of Black" ... but, no, it has nothing to do with the alleged racist attack on Jussie.

It's about the brothers having a good time with some lady friends -- who, as you can see in pics from the set, are scantily clad or simply naked with dark body paint. They planned to cut loose with the women, but apparently end up getting drugged.

Think 'Fifty Shades' meets "Hustlers."

Remember, Abel and Ola were extras on "Empire" and that's how they met Jussie. But, ever since they called him out -- alleging he hired them to pull off a phony attack -- they've had a hard time scoring gigs.

As you know ... Abel's mostly been boxing in Chicago, knocking out opponents and training with Floyd Mayweather's renowned trainer. He also landed one starring role in a movie, but it was super low-budget, and Ola's been shut out.

We can't vouch for how funny their new sketch will turn out, but it certainly LOOKS titillating. We're told the finished product will be released on YouTube and IG in the spring.

UFC's Abdul Razak Alhassan Found Not Guilty ... In Sexual Assault Case

Published | Updated

Abdul Razak Alhassan -- a budding MMA star who scored a crazy knockout at UFC 228 in Sept. 2018 -- was just found not guilty in his sexual assault case ... TMZ Sports has confirmed.

Alhassan was facing two charges after he was accused of raping two women inside a Saginaw, Texas home back in March 2018.

The two alleged victims claim they were partying at a bar in Forth Worth (where Alhassan worked as a bouncer) ... when the UFC fighter brought them back to one of their homes and sexually assaulted them.

Alhassan maintained his innocence throughout the case ... and after a trial this week, a district attorney spokesperson confirmed to us a jury found the 34-year-old not guilty on both charges.

Alhassan's attorney, Brandon Barnett, told theScore's Nick Baldwin after the verdict... "Razak has been waiting for this day for two years. He's been ready to go to court and clear his name of these charges"

"We're thankful that we got a really good jury who saw the evidence for what it was."

Alhassan hasn't fought in the UFC since KO'ing Niko Price on Sept. 8, 2018. He's 10-1 in his UFC career.
