1:55 PM PT -- More from Brady Sr., courtesy of NFL Network's Mike Giardi. "Checked in with Tom Brady Sr. who tells me, and I quote, 'This story Mike is total conjecture. Tommy has not made a final decision one way or the other and anybody else that says that he has is absolutely wrong.'
1:31 PM PT -- Tom Brady's dad, Tom Brady Sr. tells San Francisco news outlet KRON4 his son is "not retiring," disputing the report from ESPN's Schefter and Darlington.
According to the outlet, Brady Sr. says "an online publication started circulating an unsubstantiated rumor. However a number of NFL insiders are now reporting it."
1:17 PM PT -- This is bizarre. In the wake of reports Brady was retiring after 22 seasons, there are now some questioning the veracity of the news. According to Michael Silver, TB contacted Bucs GM Jason Licht, telling the front office exec he had NOT yet made a final decision.
Tom's TB12sports Twitter account also deleted a tweet congratulating Brady for his career achievements.
Don Yee, Brady's longtime agent, also issued a statement addressing the news.
"I understand the advance speculation about Tom's future. Without getting into the accuracy or inaccuracy of what's being reported, Tom will be the only person to express his plans with complete accuracy. He knows the realities of the football business and planning calendar as well as anybody, so that should be soon."
Tom Brady -- the most successful quarterback in NFL history -- is walking away from the game of football after 22 historic seasons.
The 44-year-old 7-time champ is retiring as the league's all-time leader in wins at quarterback, passing attempts, completions, passing yards and passing touchdowns, according to a report from Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington
Brady was the 199th pick in the 2000 NFL Draft ... after playing at Michigan from 1996-1999.
Brady played for New England from 2001-19 ... winning 6 Super Bowls with the Patriots. He went on to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he won his 7th championship in 2021.
FEBRUARY 2021
The Bucs went 13-4 this season and ran away with the NFC South title ... but were defeated by the Rams in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
Brady married supermodel Gisele Bundchen in 2009 ... and just this week, he hinted at the possibility of hanging it up for his wife and children's sake.
1/24/22
He previously spoke about how he hoped to play until he was 45 years old, but was open about his struggles with being away from family during the football season.
"It pains [Gisele] to see me get hit out there, and she deserves what she needs from me as a husband and my kids deserve what they need from me as a dad," Brady said this week on his "Let's Go" podcast.
Brady threw for 84,520 yards and 624 TDs over his 22-season career.
Brady's ex-teammate, Julian Edelman, congratulated the quarterback ... saying, "Thanks for the memories, babe."
Chris Godwin -- who won a ring with Brady last season -- added, "The best ever. Congratulations bro @TomBrady grateful to have gotten to share the field with you! Much love fam."

10:41 AM PT -- 1/30 -- Arnette has been charged with FIVE felonies -- 2 counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of marijuana or cannabis and one count of carrying or concealing a gun without a permit, according to court records. Arnette was released from the Clark County Detention Center after posting a bond.
8:58 AM PT -- The Chiefs have released Damon Arnette, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
More troubling news for NFL player Damon Arnette ... the former 1st round draft pick was arrested Friday night in Las Vegas after he allegedly threatened a valet with a gun, TMZ Sports has learned.
The 25-year-old cornerback was busted for assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a controlled substance after a dispute allegedly occurred at the Park MGM on Las Vegas Boulevard.
It's unclear what drug Arnette allegedly had on him.
A witness tells us Damon attempted to retrieve a car without a valet ticket ... leading to a dispute. We're told Arnette pulled a gun, and the police were eventually called.
This is just the latest issue with the former Ohio State star. Arnette was cut by the Raiders in November after a video surfaced appearing to show Damon threatening someone with a gun.
Arnette is also being sued by a woman who claims he hit her car, injuring her, and left the scene of the accident after an October 2020 crash.
After a standout season at Ohio State where Arnette earned 2nd Team All-Big Ten honors, he was the 19th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
In 2 seasons with the Raiders, Arnette played in 13 games, racking up 29 tackles. After Vegas cut him, he signed as a practice squad player with the Miami Dolphins.
Damon was recently signed by the Kansas City Chiefs to a reserves/futures contract ... meaning he isn't on the active roster right now, but the team has his rights for next season.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins, former NFL tight end, was arrested for misdemeanor assault (domestic violence) and felony harassment on Friday in Washington State, TMZ Sports has learned.
The 29-year-old former 2nd round draft pick was booked into a county jail around 9 PM. He is still in custody, and bail has not yet been set.
The details surrounding the arrest are currently unclear.
According to court records, ASJ was officially booked for "misdemeanor assault/domestic violence" and "felony harassment threats/domestic violence or death threats."
It's not the first time Seferian-Jenkins has been in trouble with the law. He was busted at least 3 times for DUI. In 2020, he cut a deal with officials to defer prosecution on his latest driving under the influence charge ... on the condition he kept his nose clean.
Now, those charges could be pursued once again ... in addition to the new domestic violence charges.
Jenkins was the 38th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft -- going to the Bucs -- after a standout career at the University of Washington. After 2+ seasons in Tampa, Seferian-Jenkins signed with the NY Jets in 2016. In 2018, he played for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Patriots signed ASJ in 2019 .. but released him before the season started. That's the last time he played professional football.
Seferian-Jenkins had a solid career ... catching 116 balls for 1,160 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.
If ultimately convicted, Austin could face years in prison, in addition to a large fine.

Eddie George Advice To Titans ... Don't Move On From Ryan Tannehill!!!
-
Exclusive

If Eddie George was running the Tennessee Titans ... he wouldn't be looking for a new QB this offseason, telling TMZ Sports he still believes in Ryan Tannehill.
Of course, it's an unpopular opinion ... because most NFL fans believe the quarterback's three interceptions against the Cincinnati Bengals are the reasons why the Titans aren't playing the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game this weekend.

But, when we got George out in L.A. earlier this week ... the Titans legend said he still thinks Tannehill is good enough to get Tennessee to the Super Bowl next year.
"He's just got to cut down on the turnovers and find a way to come back," George said.
As for if he'd look into acquiring another QB, like Aaron Rodgers, George wasn't so sure about all that.
"I wouldn't go searching for something that -- you know, the grass isn't always greener on the other side," the ex-running back said. "I would ride it out."
As for the Titans' biggest star, Derrick Henry, George loves the guy's game ... and actually told us he's hoping the dude catches all of his records and breaks them one day.
"It would be awesome to have a guy like that do it."

Patrick Mahomes' Fiancee 'Team Brittany' Tees Flying Off Shelves ... 2,000 Sold In One Day
-
Exclusive Details
Hundreds of people are lining up to support Patrick Mahomes' fiancee ... 'cause TMZ Sports has learned thousands of "Team Brittany" shirts have already sold in just one day.
A rep for Charlie Hustle -- the shirt company that partnered with Brittany Matthews to make the tees in the wake of her Arrowhead Stadium champagne celebration backlash -- tells us the shirts have sold so quickly ... there's now a waiting list for the item.
In total, through the first 24 hours-or-so of sales, the rep said more than 2,000 units have been bought.
"The community reaction for the initiative has been overwhelmingly positive," the rep said. "The message that we are trying to convey is to be kind to one another."
1/28/22
As we previously reported, Matthews and Charlie Hustle combined to create the shirts with the goal of stopping bullying.
Matthews said Thursday that the shirt co. came up with the idea after she said she was "attacked" by fans who were putting her down for spraying bubbly following K.C.'s epic win last weekend.
1/23/22
The shirt co. tells us 25% of the proceeds (each tee costs $36) will go to the Red Card KC -- a foundation in Kansas City that aims to prevent bullying -- and Matthews also said she'd be matching the final donation.
Matthews actually stopped by the shirt store in K.C. on Friday ... and was "blown away" by the reaction it's all getting.
"This is just so incredible," Matthews said. "From the bottom of my heart, I can not thank you guys enough."
"I know there are still so many good people out here," she added. "Together we are making a difference in the community!"

Patrick Mahomes' Fiancée Making 'Team Brittany' Shirts ... For Charity After Celebration Backlash
1/28/22
Patrick's Mahomes' fiancée is parlaying all the hate from her champagne celebration and putting it to good use -- by creating "Team Brittany" shirts for an anti-bullying charity.
Remember, Brittany Matthews was ripped on social media for spraying bubbly on fans at Arrowhead Stadium after the Chiefs' overtime thriller victory over the Bills last weekend.
BM initially returned fire, saying she was tired of routinely being "attacked" ... but switched it up after she spoke with Charlie Hustle, a local t-shirt designer and seller, about making "Team Brittany" shirts.
1/23/22
"Me and my team have decided to try to turn this buzz into something and something good for the Kansas City community," Matthews said Thursday via IG.
"We have decided that part of the proceeds from the sales of this shirt are gonna go to Red Card KC which is a local charity here in Kansas City that works to prevent bullying."
The 26-year-old says she gets bullied all the time on the net ... so it means a lot that she's able to help.
"I do receive a lot of hate on a daily basis on social media and I know so so so many other people do as well," Matthews said.
"That's why I'm just proud to partner with this company and get behind this cause and hopefully push everything into the right direction and start spreading some more positivity on all of these platforms."
The future Mrs. Mahomes may get another shot at a post-game celebration this Sunday ... if the Chiefs beat the Bengals in the AFC Championship.

Ben Roethlisberger QB Had Better Career Than Eli & Rivers ... Charlie Batch Says
-
Exclusive
Ben Roethlisberger had a better NFL resume than both Eli Manning and Philip Rivers ... so says Charlie Batch, who tells TMZ Sports Big Ben is the best QB from that insane 2004 draft class.
We spoke with Charlie just minutes after Roethlisberger retired on Thursday ... and the former NFL quarterback explained he thinks Ben is hands down a better QB than Manning and Rivers.
"It's no knock against Eli or Philip, but I'm taking Ben Roethlisberger 1A," Batch said. "Eli 1B, and then Philip Rivers is behind them, only because of the Super Bowl victories."
Of course, Batch is biased -- he played with Ben for years in Pittsburgh -- but he said the guy was just that good.
In fact, Charlie tells us he instantly connected with Ben after he was taken in the first round of the '04 draft because they both played in the same college conference before they got their NFL starts.
“When I first met him back in 2004, there was instant respect because he went to Miami of Ohio and I went to Eastern Michigan," Batch said.
"So when you’re from the mid-American conference, we know how hard one, it is just to get to the NFL, and how hard two, it is to get there from the mid-American conference."
As for the Ben/Manning/Rivers debate ... Batch says even though he's got Ben on top of the heap, "all three of them will end up in Canton one day."
The top 3 QBs from the 04 NFL Draft are now retired: Eli Manning, Philip Rivers & Roethlisberger.
— Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) January 27, 2022 @MySportsUpdate
Worth revisiting that draft: Giants were going to take Ben if they couldn't trade for Eli. Rivers would've been a Steeler.
How different the NFL would be...pic.twitter.com/mtqmd0M8QV
We also spoke with Batch about where the Steelers go from here now that Ben is retired, and he told us he believes they won't be able to pursue guys like Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson because they straight-up need all the draft capital it would take to acquire them.
Instead, Charlie says it'll likely be up to Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins to take the torch from Ben in 2022.

NFL Reporter Ian Rapoport Abruptly Leaves Radio Show To Break News ... 'Oh S***!!!'
Hilarious moment on the radio waves Thursday ... NFL reporter Ian Rapoport hung up on a show in order to break some Chicago Bears news, saying "oh s***!" just before he bolted!!
It all happened just minutes ago on WEEI ... when Rapoport, an insider for NFL Network, was discussing the possibility of future overtime rule changes in the league.
Statement from @TheRealGresh & @Keefe21 on @Rapsheet hanging up on us to break the Eberflus news
— Gresh & Keefe (@GreshKeefe) January 27, 2022 @GreshKeefe
"We respect Ian's decision to put his job as an insider first as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that'll be a home run. And so that'll make it a 4-0 ballgame" https://t.co/nb2egrN9lj pic.twitter.com/7rAhGF48Un
Rapoport was humming with his hit, saying a change could eventually come ... when suddenly, he abruptly paused.
"You know -- the," Rapoport said awkwardly. "Oh, s***! I just got a text. I got to go!"
Rapoport quickly hung up, and the guys howled with stunned laughter.
Everyone later learned Ian had to go to break the news that the Bears are expected to name Matt Eberflus as their next head coach.

The Antonio Brown cross-country turn up continues ... the NFL star spent Wednesday night partying with Rick Ross at the rapper's 46th birthday party in Miami, and TMZ Sports has video of the bash.

In addition to AB, we're told Nelly, Timbaland and French Montana were also in the house.
Brown and Ross are both Florida natives ... and have been friends for years. In fact, Ross made a cameo in AB's "Whole Lotta Money" music video.
Of course, AB pulled up in grand style ... sporting a grey suit and black turtleneck and lots of jewelry to accompany the drip.
Since his unceremonious departure from the Bucs ... Brown's been jet-setting across America. He's hung out with some of the most well-known, A-list stars like Kanye West, Floyd Mayweather and Madonna.

Ben Roethlisberger's time as an NFL quarterback has come to an end ... the Pittsburgh Steelers star just retired.
The future Hall of Famer made the announcement in an emotional video on Thursday morning ... saying straight-up, "The time has come."
"I retire from football a truly grateful man," the 39-year-old said.
A message from Ben:@steelers #NFL #SteelersNation #ThankYou#HereWeGo #LoveAndHonor pic.twitter.com/pUbKGO1nUs
— BigBen7.com (@_BigBen7) January 27, 2022 @_BigBen7
With his career now over, Big Ben will go down as one of the best QBs to ever play the game.
In his 18 seasons in the NFL -- all with Pittsburgh -- he won two Super Bowls and was selected to 6 Pro Bowls. He logged 64,088 passing yards and tallied 418 passing TDs.
His retirement, meanwhile, leaves a gaping hole for the Steelers at the quarterback position -- as the team now no longer has a surefire QB1 on its roster for the first time in nearly two decades.
"To all my teammates and the endless friendships that I've gained, I appreciate you and our shared commitment to wearing the black and gold with pride and dignity," Ben said.
"Putting that jersey on every Sunday with my brothers will always be one of the greatest joys of my life."

Matt Stafford's Wife Buying NFC Title Game Tix For Rams Fans ... I Got You Guys!!!
Matthew Stafford's wife, Kelly, was so blown away by the prices of NFC Championship game tickets ... she says she's personally buying a bunch of seats so she can give them away to Rams fans.
Kelly made the announcement on her social media page Wednesday ... encouraging any L.A. fans with good stories to reach out to her so she can start handing out the tix to Sunday's big game versus the 49ers ASAP.
"If you are a hard core rams fan, or just a regular rams fan, a veteran, active in the military, a public servant, etc.," Kelly said, "email me at staffgiveback@gmail.com and tell me your story with some photos attached!"
Kelly -- who married Matthew back in 2015 -- added that she's hoping to give away all the tickets by Thursday night.
It's an awesome gesture ... considering the tickets have reached crazy prices. Even SoFi Stadium nosebleed seats are going for over $500, and seats near the field are selling for thousands.
Kelly, though, is clearly down to help ease that financial burden -- especially because the last time the Niners came into town earlier this month, their fans took over the venue.
Kickoff is slated for Sunday at 3:30 PM PT. Good luck with the ticket hunting!

Raiders' Nate Hobbs DB Was Under Legal Limit In DUI Arrest ... Prosecutors Say
-
Breaking News
9:49 AM PT -- Hobbs' attorneys, David Z. Chesnoff and Richard A. Schonfeld, tell TMZ Sports ... "Since Mr. Hobbs did not violate the DUI laws he was not charged, nor will he be charged with a DUI offense."
"He will fulfill his court obligations for the careless driving traffic offense," they added.
Big break for Nate Hobbs in his DUI case ... prosecutors say toxicology results revealed the Raiders player was UNDER the legal limit of .08 following his arrest earlier this month.
The Clark County District Attorney's Office made the announcement Wednesday ... saying blood analysis following Hobbs' Jan. 3 arrest in Las Vegas showed "Hobbs was under the legal limit for a DUI charge."
Prosecutors say as a result of the tests ... they did not pursue a DUI charge against Hobbs, and instead, they say the NFL cornerback ended up pleading guilty to a misdemeanor careless driving charge.
Prosecutors said in a statement they hit Hobbs with that charge after they say he fell asleep at the wheel of his car in an exit lane of a parking garage at a Vegas hotel -- just hours after Hobbs and the Raiders beat the Colts in Indianapolis.
Prosecutors say as part of Hobbs' guilty plea, he agreed to "pay a $685 fine, complete a victim impact panel, and complete 20 hours of community service."
The prosecutors added that if Hobbs does not complete the requirements, he faces a 30-day jail sentence.
"After reviewing the facts of the case, and the fact that the result of the blood-alcohol test placed Mr. Hobbs under the legal limit for a DUI charge, my office determined that this was the most appropriate disposition in this case," Clark County D.A. Steve Wolfson said in a statement.
"Mr. Hobbs' case will progress through the normal channels of the justice system, as would any other case with similar circumstances."
Wolfson added, "Additionally, he will be submitting to an alcohol treatment program provided by the National Football League and the NFL Players' Association."
Hobbs -- who played in the Raiders' playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals days after the arrest -- is due back in court for a hearing on the matter in March.

Baker Mayfield Quits Social Media ... After Turbulent Browns Season
Baker Mayfield is going M.I.A. when it comes to social media -- saying Tuesday night that after his turbulent season with the Browns, he's quitting all platforms until further notice.
"Getting off all social media for the foreseeable future," the Cleveland quarterback said. "Gotta do what's best to focus on me, my family and loved ones."
"Appreciate all the support. Time to get right."
The move for the signal-caller always seemed to be a possibility -- considering he and his wife have been unhappy with the Internet community basically this entire season.
Emily Mayfield has had to defend her husband on the apps constantly ... and even said back in December that trolls sent her and the QB death threats following the Browns vs. Packers game.
Baker, meanwhile, has constantly slammed media members and others on social media platforms throughout the season ... even writing in a tweet during the NFL's playoff games last weekend that it was all "toxic."
Baker had a rough year with the Browns outside of all the Internet hate ... throwing 13 interceptions and fumbling 6 times, all while his squad missed the playoffs.
He did have surgery on his injured shoulder last week ... and he's hopeful after recovering, he can return to form next season.
And, it's clear that he believes the rehab process will go much better if he's off Twitter and IG -- at least for now.

Rob Gronkowski I'd Retire If Forced To Decide Now ... 'I Would Say No'
-
Exclusive

If he had to make the decision today ... Rob Gronkowski says his football career would be over -- telling TMZ Sports he'd retire if the NFL made him choose right now.
"If they're like, 'Rob, you've got to decide right now, right this second if you're playing next year,' I would say no right now," Gronk said. "I would be like, 'No, I'm not playing.'"
The tight end -- who joined Babcock and Mojo on the "TMZ Sports" TV show (nightly on FS1) -- said he's just too beat up right now following his 11th season in the league to go ahead and definitively move forward with Year #12.
"If I had an answer right now," Gronk said, "it would be no."
Good news for the Buccaneers, though ... Gronk does not have to decide at this moment -- and he acknowledged his mind could change in the next couple of weeks.
The future Hall of Famer tells us once his body's healed and he's had some time to reflect on the season, the answer could very well turn into a yes.
"I just want to heal completely, see where my thoughts are from there," Gronk said. "Just let things settle down -- got to just heal a little bit. Fix all the bumps and bruises."
As for if Tom Brady's upcoming decision about his future could affect Gronk's, Rob tells us it all could play a role -- though he has to do what's best for him first and foremost.
There's more, Gronk also told us he does not think the Bucs' messy breakup with Antonio Brown played a role in their early playoff exit ... saying the locker room was full of too many veterans to let it affect them that negatively.
"There's so many experienced pros in our locker room," Gronk said. "It's not like we have a young locker room or anything like that."
We also talked to Gronk about his partnership with Groupon. The superstar tight end teamed up with the company to give one extremely lucky fan a chance to literally celebrate the Super Bowl at Rob's actual house in Foxborough.
As you might expect from Rob ... the house is awesome. It's nearly 5,000 square feet of awesomeness ... and if you're fortunate, you and your buddies could be posting up on Gronk's couch when the big game rolls around on February 13.
Good luck!!

Josh Allen's GF Pens Mushy Note To Bills QB After Loss ... 'I Love You'
Josh Allen's girlfriend is trying her best to cheer up her man following his heartbreaking playoff loss Sunday ... telling the Bills QB how proud she is of him despite the defeat.
Brittany Williams posted the mushy note to the Buffalo star on her social media page Tuesday -- just days after the Bills fell out of the playoffs following an overtime loss to the Chiefs -- commending him for finishing his fourth year in the NFL.
"It's amazing watching you put your head down and work every day to be the best teammate, leader, and football player you can be," said Williams, who's been dating Allen for years. "Through the ups & downs of this season, you remained calm and confident and it showed every time you stepped on the field."
She added, "I really don’t know how you balance everything, but you always do it with a smile on your face and with the biggest heart."
"I love you ❤️"
Allen will no doubt appreciate the words ... because he's got to be one of the most heartbroken people in the country at the moment.
The 25-year-old played his ass off in the Bills' game in Kansas City ... and came up just short of moving his team into the AFC Championship game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
He's got a good chance of getting his team there next year, though, 'cause the Bills have surrounded him with a bunch of talent.
Seems like the support system he's got at home going forward is pretty great, too.

1:23 PM PT -- Payton just provided a little more clarity on his situation at a farewell press conference Tuesday ... saying even though he's stepping away from the game right now, he could return to the sidelines at a later date.
"I still have a vision for doing things in football," Payton told reporters. "I'll be honest with you, that might be coaching again at some point."
"I don't think it's this year," he added. "Maybe in the future. But, that's not where my heart is right now. It's not at all."
As for if Payton could be calling games from a broadcasting booth this season ... he said that's something that interests him, though he told media members he hasn't gotten any offers to do it just yet.
Shocking news in New Orleans ... Sean Payton has retired as head coach of the Saints.
New Orleans journalist Nick Underhill first reported the news Tuesday morning.
Payton has been the head man for the Saints since 2006 ... and won a Super Bowl with the team in 2009.
He's widely considered one of the three or four best coaches in the league, and piled up a 152-89 record in his 15 years with the team.
In fact, Payton had been so good in New Orleans, he won more than 10 games in a season NINE separate times.
It's unclear why Payton made the decision this week -- his contract reportedly compensated him well, and he's only 58 years old.
No word yet on where he goes in 2022 from here. There are rumors swirling that he could join a broadcasting booth somewhere -- though heading to another team to be its new head coach might not be totally out of the question either.
