Lions WR Marvin Jones Says 6-Month-Old Baby Son Died ... Team Offers Support

Published | Updated

Detroit Lions star Marvin Jones broke some heartbreaking news this weekend -- his infant son, Marlo, has died ... a loss that has shaken the organization at large.

The wide receiver made the announcement Saturday, saying his boy -- the youngest of his 5 children who was born this summer -- had passed away. He didn't reveal a cause, but in an emotional post made clear the kid had left his mark on both him and the family.

Marvin took to Instagram and wrote of his son, "Yesterday the Lord called home a piece of my family’s heart, Marlo. It is hard to believe that our little angel, our fighter from day one, our son “Marlito” has unfortunately passed away and is no longer here with us."

He continued, "Marlo, the joy that you brought to us everyday, with that smile, and that energy was like heaven on earth. You will always be in our hearts. We will always remember you." Marvin added he and his wife, Jazmyn, hadn't gotten a chance to hear his first words yet -- which he notes would've been in Spanish -- among many other "firsts."

The NFL player finished by saying, "We know that everything that We do from here on out will be with you. Every step we take, you will be with us. Whenever we have a bad day, We will think of your smile. We miss you already buddy and will forever love you. Rest peacefully our sweet baby boy. You have gained your wings."

The Lions released a statement after hearing word that Marlo had died, saying Marvin and Jazmyn embody the meaning of family with the example they set in the Detroit community. They also asked for privacy on behalf of the Jones family.

Marlo was 6 months old. RIP

Marlon Wayans Blows Up at HS Basketball Game ... That's the 2nd Time, Ref!!!

Published

Marlon Wayans is a sideline dad who'll go to the mat for his kid -- and we think we mean that literally by the way he was screaming at the ref during a basketball game for teens.

The actor and comedian was at his son's high school basketball game Friday night at Bishop Alemany High School in L.A., where he was attentively watching from the bleachers. He eventually came down to court level though to do a little yelling over the officiating.

Apparently, Marlon felt his boy, Shawn, was getting fouled and not receiving the calls for it. He even pointed that out in his own home videos that he posted on social media.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Welp, it looks like the frustrated commentary turned into a shouting match down below, because eyewitnesses tell us Marlon let the refs have it and then some, cussing included.

In video of Marlon's tantrum, obtained by TMZ, you hear him seemingly call at least one referee a "motherf***er" before storming out of the gym. Another parent agreed with him.

MW wasn't done quite yet. At another point in the clip, it looks like he circled back and confronted the refs directly at the scoring table, and did some intense finger-pointing and chastising before having to be restrained. Marlon cooled down and walked away.

Luckily this thing didn't escalate to the point of no return. In the end, just another case of an involved parent who loves their kids. No harm, no ... uhhh, maybe not actually.

We reached out to Marlon's camp for comment ... so far, no word back.

Jussie Smollett Playing Santa Claus in Flint ... Money & Toys For Kids

Published

Jussie Smollett is on a mission to give children in Flint something to believe in ... donating money to kids programs and helping organize a backpack and toy drive for Christmas.

Sources close to Jussie tell TMZ ... the actor recently paid a surprise visit to Flint, Michigan with youth and environmental activist, Mari Copeny AKA Little Miss Flint, and together they helped surprise a school with new backpacks and toys.

Jussie took his good deeds one step further ... we're told he donated $10,000 to the Flint KIDS program.

We've seen this kind of gesture from Jussie before ... last year, he donated $125,000 to various charities ahead of the holidays, including Flint KIDS and the Black AIDS Institute.

Parents at the toy drive tell us Jussie appeared to be in great spirits, and he made the kids feel like their Christmas is complete.

Jussie's demeanor is worth noting, considering he's now countersuing the City of Chicago for malicious prosecution in regards to the infamous "attack."

Joe Giudice Reunites With Daughters, Italian Style

Joe Giudice
REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD

Joe Giudice got exactly what he wanted for Christmas ... his daughters, who will be spending the holiday with him in Italy.

Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana all flew in Tuesday to reunite with their dad, who has been deported from the U.S. after his 41-month prison stint.

Joe was thrilled ... saying, "They are so cute, so happy."

The girls overpacked for the trip, at least that's what Joe seems to think. You hear him say,  “Think we can do this or what? We have to take apart this whole thing. We still got another three [suitcases].”

As you know ... Teresa and Joe have split up. She does not want to move to Italy and it's all but certain his appeals to return to the U.S. will be rejected.

Teresa's already dating someone else, and Joe has intimated he's doing the same.

Mariah Carey Nanny Sues ... All I Want for XMas Is My Unpaid Wages!!!

Published | Updated
UPDATE

4:03 PM PT -- A rep for Mariah tells us, "This is a legally and factually baseless claim that will be defended with vigor."

Mariah Carey works her hired help to the bone, and then kicks 'em to the curb when she's had enough ... so claims her ex-nanny in new legal docs.

MiMi's being sued by a woman named Maria Burgues, who claims she worked for Mariah between late 2017 and early 2018 ... watching over her two kids and, allegedly, flying all over the world with them without getting paid her fair share for the job she was doing.

Burgues alleges in her lawsuit -- obtained by TMZ -- that Mariah and co. wouldn't let her take required breaks she's supposed to get under California law, including rests and meals. Burgues says those just weren't a thing while she was employed.

Burgues doesn't get specific about what exactly her schedule or allotted hours for each week were, but she makes it sound like she was working round the clock for Mariah, often on non-nannying duties and tasks that allegedly didn't involve the kids at all.

Adding insult to injury, Burgues claims Mariah had a bodyguard she reported to who was a scumbag and allegedly treated her like dirt out in the open on more than one occasion. She even alleges the guy almost got them into a major traffic accident for being on his phone.

Kylie Jenner's Daughter Stormi Gets Life-Size Playhouse ... Thanks, Grandma Kris!!!

Published | Updated

Kylie Jenner's daughter, Stormi Webster, would like to welcome you to her crib for Christmas.

Little Stormi recently got gifted with a major surprise from her grandma, Kris, which was documented on KJ's newest vlog, "My 2019 Christmas Decorations." Check it out ... the kid got a freakin' playhouse, which is just the right size for the almost 2-year-old.

And, by that we mean it's life-size ... and it's got everything inside to make it feel like a real pad, including AC, furniture, a kitchen, a second story and a balcony. A BALCONY!!!

Kris and Kylie give a brief tour of the interior before showing it to Stormi, who seemed pretty excited to go inside. Funny enough, her mom says she used to have something very similar herself when she was Stormi's age, and that memory makes Kris super emotional.

Stormi definitely makes herself at home as she explores the nooks and crannies. And, as Grandma Kris says ... it's her house now -- and you can certainly tell she's claiming it.

Anyway, if you'd be so kind as to leave your Birkin bags and shoes at the door, please. We're sure Stormi would appreciate it.

Cardi B Here Comes Cardi-Claus!!! Spends Thousands on Toys for Charity

Published | Updated

Cardi B is playing Santa Claus this year -- only she's doing it without the big red hat, reindeer or sleigh -- and will bring smiles to a ton of kid's faces.

Cardi was spotted in Miami Friday spending a bunch of money on gifts for kids at a local Target store. The rapper also had a U-HAUL rented to load the presents and ship em off for those in need.

We're told in total, Cardi spent about $5,000 on everything from games, dolls, car sets and more. She had staffers help her load everything up in the truck.

It's unclear exactly where the gifts will go -- Cardi talked about helping kids out in New York -- but nonetheless, it's an awesome gesture.

Cardi's daughter, Kulture, will be celebrating her second Christmas this year, and if mom's spending for other kids on Friday is any indication ... it's about to be a big year.

Merry Christmas from Cardi Claus!!!

Texas Barbershop Dad Shoots Barber 3 Times ... For Messing Up Kid's Cut

Published
UPDATE

1:20 PM PT -- Cops just released the following, saying, "Investigators have identified a man believed to have been involved in the barber shop shooting. No charges have been filed at this time, and we are asking that he contact investigators directly to tell his version of what transpired."

A 13-year-old boy's haircut ended in gunfire in Texas after his dad got into it with the barber over a botched job.

The boy stopped in at Magic's Kutts and Fades outside Houston on Saturday for a haircut and left without issue. BUT ... his dad reportedly brought the boy back to the shop later that night and told the barber he messed the kid's cut ... super messed it up.

The barber repaired the 13-year-old's locks free of charge, but the dad and barber got in a fight in the parking lot ... ending when the dad pulled out a gun, shooting the barber 3 times. KHOU reports the barber was shot in the stomach, leg and arm but is expected to survive.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the father left the scene in a 4-door sedan ... possibly a Honda Accord. He still has not been apprehended or publicly ID'd.

Cops are combing surveillance footage and want to speak to both the 13-year-old and his father in connection to the shooting.

Kanye West Slight Tweaks to 'Mary' ... Ft. Kids & Rumored Surprise Guest

Published | Updated

Kanye West seems ready to switch things up for his second go-around on 'Mary' -- this time, kids are going to be directly involved, as will a big surprise guest ... supposedly.

The rapper's in NYC right now, where he's hours away from his 2nd performance of his latest opera at Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall. On Saturday, he was in rehearsals ... and a bunch of tykes were spotted onstage at the David H. Koch Theater across the way -- where we're told everyone was warming up their pipes and getting the cues down.

People on the scene tell us they saw the kids rehearsing their singing too, as we're told it appears they're going to be incorporated into the chorus of adults -- made up of Ye's Sunday Service choir, of course. That's different than what he did at Art Basel 2 weeks ago.

Kodak Black Playing Santa From Prison This Xmas ... $$ to Charity, Toys for Kids

Published | Updated

Kodak Black isn't letting a little thing like prison bars stop him from giving back this holiday season -- because the guy's opening up his wallet and shelling out for strangers.

The rapper's attorney, Bradford Cohen, tells TMZ ... KB is giving thousands of dollars away this Christmas -- to both charities, religious institutions and individual families. We're told Kodak has authorized his camp to buy an allotment of toys for the Paradise Day Care Center in Broward County, FL ... which will be dished out to kids from 70 different families in need.

The children range in age, from 2 to 7-year-old ... who'll get bikes, dolls and a ton of other stuff on behalf of inmate 18149 at FCC Miami (that's Kodak, BTW). But wait, there's more!!!

Magic Johnson
BIG SHOES TO FILL

LeBron James is widely considered the greatest athlete on the planet ... but Bronny could be EVEN BETTER than his daddy ... so says Magic Johnson!!

Yeah, no pressure, kid.

LeBron James Jr. isn't even old enough to drive a car and he's already getting massive attention on the court (he is the son of the biggest NBA star in the world after all)

TMZ Sports spoke with the Laker legend at Mastro's about the prodigy's future and whether he can be the heir to the throne ... and Magic says it's definitely possible.

"I think so," Johnson tells us. "You hope so, anyway. Normally what happens is sometimes with all that skill and talent that LeBron has, it passes to his son."

"I think that he has a chance to be unbelievable and either just as good as his dad or a little better. But, that's big shoes to fill though. LeBron is playing awesome right now. MVP of league right now."

Bronny has been ballin' out in his freshman year at Sierra Canyon ... and had 15 points and the game-winning layup in front of dad as his team beat St. Vincent-St. Mary over the weekend.

Nev Schulman Warns Parents ... Don't Let Santa Catfish Your Kids!!!

Nev Schulman
SANTA: THE ORIGINAL CATFISH

Nev Schulman may be Jewish but he's all in on Christmas ... and even setting boundaries when it comes to Saint Nick.

We got the "Catfish" host at LAX and it's pretty clear ... even though he's discovered he loves Christmas as an adult, there's a bit of a conflict -- how to tell his daughter about Santa.

Our camera guy, Charlie, reminds the MTV star the whole Santa Claus story is a bit like catfishing ... and Nev totally agrees!!! Check it out ... he says there's an easy way to distinguish Santa Claus from catfishers.

Nev says he's dressing up as Santa but no way in hell is he letting his daughter meet the old dude with the white beard.

Kanye West If Nothing Else, Take This From 2019 A Final Word From Saint Too

WEST FAMILY SEASONS GREETINGS

Kanye West has a simple message on what people should take away from his journey in 2019 -- but his son has an even louder one that might resonate more.

We got the Kardashian-West family Saturday in NYC, where they left a restaurant and boarded a waiting SUV with two of their kids in tow ... North and Saint, who were feeling chatty after dinner. Saint had a firm message for the paps standing by ... they didn't listen.

As Kim got the kids situated in the car, we asked Ye what it was he wanted folks to know or remember about him and his religious awakening from this past year ... which was pretty much a complete 180 from his rocky 2018 and mostly positive, all things considered.

At the start of this year, Kanye pivoted away from politics and dove head first into music -- and as it turned out, God too. His Sunday Services seemed to be his focal point, which started indoors but quickly went outside ... and, eventually, to Coachella and beyond.

Meek Mill & REFORM Alliance Team NBA Store Shopping Spree for Kids ... Then, a TB Meet & Greet!!!

Published | Updated

Meek Mill and a few friends teamed up to give back to kids who are sadly impacted by a broken prison system -- giving them major cash to blow ... and a chance to meet a G.O.A.T.

It all went down Saturday morning in NYC, where Meek, 76ers partner Michael Rubin, Brooklyn Nets co-owner Clara Wu Tsai, Nets player Caris LeVert and DJ Khaled himself all gathered with dozens of children and their families at the NBA Store for the generous holiday giveaway.

Saturday's event was put together by the REFORM Alliance -- the criminal justice org Meek and co. created to get people out from behind bars when they don't belong there.

Check out the clip though ... Michael, Meek and an apparent NBA Store employee explain to the group that each kid and family will get a minimum of $500 to spend on anything they want inside. Some bigger fams were given more to spend. All on the house, of course.

50 Cent My Son's In da Toys 'R' Us And It's All His!!!

Published | Updated

50 Cent just spoiled his son rotten for Christmas ... getting an entire Toys 'R' Us on lock and letting the kid have whatever his heart desired. Jealous much?

The rapper pulled the ultimate parenting move this weekend for his 7-year-old, Sire, by renting out an entire store in New Jersey -- only one of two locations open at the moment -- and closing it off to the public while his boy went around and picked out anything that caught his eye and letting him take it all home as his gift(s) for the holiday.

Basically, a personal shopping spree for a kid ... which became even more of a custom experience with Sire's name and mug incorporated into the presentation. A decal on the ground read 'Sire's Toys R Us' ... not even Charlie Bucket could've dreamt of this.

As for how much all of this cost ... we're told Fitty dropped a pretty penny to give his son the best Christmas ever -- about $100k to have this place to himself and Sire.

Hell, it looks the cash went so far as to pull Geoffrey the Giraffe out of retirement -- who posed with 50 and Sire in a sweet photo-op. You'll recall, Toys 'R' Us temporarily closed up shop last year -- but it's being brought back, slowly but surely, under new ownership.

Nothing beats a comeback quite like this one -- with 50 Freakin' Cent dropping by -- and it just goes to show ... kids love them some in-person Toys 'R' Us fun.

LOSIN' HIS COOL

Mark Consuelos is just like all those parents out there getting a little too involved in their kids' sporting events ... because he caused a scene at his son's wrestling match.

Check out this video of the "Riverdale" star getting heated at a wrestling tournament on Long Island ... you see Mark coming out of the crowd and onto the mat, seemingly incensed with his son's opponent.

Mark makes his move after his 16-year-old son, Joaquin, gets his headgear ripped off by his foe. You hear other concerned parents yelling for Consuelos to get off the mat, and another adult has to push him back towards the stands.

Folks who were there tell us  Mark's wife, Kelly Ripa, was also there and kept her cool while her husband rushed to their son's defense.

While the parents were getting riled up, the kids showed some serious sportsmanship ... shaking hands and resuming their match.

We're told Joaquin's opponent won the match and Mark was vocally and visibly upset, leaving the gym for a few hours to cool off before eventually returning to the all-day tournament.

We reached out to Mark ... no word back, so far.
