Jay-Z We've Got a Cognac Cri$i$!!! Sues Bacardi in D'Usse Deal

Published | Updated

Jay-Z wants to know just how much money his famous cognac line is making, and he's filed a lawsuit against his partners at Bacardi to get that information.

In docs obtained by TMZ Hip Hop, Jay-Z's company, SC Liquor, is demanding total financial clarity from Bacardi when it comes to D'Usse ... the top shelf cognac brand in which Jay and Bacardi are 50/50 partners.

Jay and the booze giant have co-owned D'Usse since 2011 ... he regularly shouts out the brand in his songs, and even drank it from one of his Grammys once to promote it. However, the lawsuit makes it clear something about the partnership -- officially named D'Usse LLC -- isn't sitting well.

In the docs, Jay-Z's co. says it needs all books and records, the location of all warehouses storing D'Usse barrels, bottles and accessories ... as well as all info regarding Bacardi's physical inventory and its inventory process.

It's unclear what's prompting Jay to demand this info, but it is clear there's a level of distrust between the partners. One sentence from the docs seems pretty telling: SC Liquor says it needs to "monitor the conduct of [Bacardi's] business to protect SC's rights as" a partner in the company.

We've reached out to Jay-Z and Bacardi for comment ... so far, no word back.

The interior is decked out with French country elements ... including oak wood floors and floor-to-ceiling fireplaces. The primary suite also comes with a nice view and plenty of privacy.

The home -- which is actually where Scully passed -- is listed by Scully's daughter, Cat, and Melissa Bladow of Compass.

Bronny James Signs NIL Deal W/ Beats By Dre ... Like Father, Like Son!!

Published | Updated

Bronny James is following in his father's footsteps ... signing a NIL deal with Beats by Dre -- 14 years after LeBron James became the company's first athlete ambassador.

Bronny, 18, is making history with the deal ... becoming the first high school athlete ever to be signed by the company, which was founded in 2006 by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine.

Beats by Dre even dropped a commercial featuring the newest member of its family ... showing 37-year-old James listening to classical music and going one-on-one with Bronny on the court.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

In the video, LBJ and Bronny exchange buckets back and forth ... including a series of dunks and jump shots, all while donning Beats by Dre headphones during the game.

"The Chosen One vs. The Chosen Son," Beats by Dre fittingly wrote as a caption for the commercial. At the end of the video, "The Legacy Continues" appears on the screen.

Last week, the Sierra Canyon High School guard inked a NIL deal with Nike, who signed LeBron to a lifetime contract in 2015.

LBJ and Nike have been partners since 2003 ... when LeBron burst onto the NBA scene as an 18-year-rookie dominating the league, so signing Bronny was a foregone conclusion.

Bronny has already joined Bron with the Nike family, and now the Beats fam ... next up, same NBA team?!

Tennessee Football Help Us Pay For Goalpost!!! ... After Wild Alabama Win Celebration

Published

The Tennessee Volunteers football team is seeking help to replace the goalpost fans tore down after their upset win over Alabama on Saturday ... by starting a fundraiser for the cause.

They're serious, too -- the Vols shared a link to their campaign via Twitter ... one day after Tennessee fans threw the goalpost into the river to celebrate the victory.

"Y'all remember how we tore the goalposts down, hauled em out of Neyland and dumped em in the Tennessee River? Yeah that was awesome," the team said.

"Anywho, turns out that in order to play next week's game, we need goalposts on our field. Could y'all help us out?"

FYI, Tennessee will need that goalpost to play their Oct. 22 home game against UT Martin.

The team even found a way to troll the Crimson Tide on the donation page -- including using the final score as a dollar amount.

"Give $52.49. Final score of the breathtaking game."

There's also a $16 option -- the number of seasons since Tennessee beat 'Bama -- and a $1,019.15 choice ... which is the number of fans who sold out the Vol's stadium.

Of course, many ripped the team for the launch ... one person saying, "Is this real? You have a $130,000,000 budget. Get a new set. Problem solved. Good win."

As of Monday morning, the fundraiser has already received over $75k -- half of what they need -- from over 1,911 donors.

BTW, the fans also cost the Vols $100k for storming the field. Sheesh!!!

Kanye West Agrees to Buy Parler ... Try & Censor Me Now!!!

Published | Updated

Kanye West is following in the digital footsteps of Elon Musk and Donald Trump -- buying his own social media company to speak his mind ... one that leans in his direction, politically.

The rapper/producer just agreed to buy Parler -- a one-time defunct conservative platform similar to Twitter, which got yanked offline early last year and removed from a ton of apps ... including Apple, Google and Amazon.

Since then, it's been fighting to make a comeback, and Ye's stepping up to do just that.

He says, "In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves."

Parler, for its part, said it was a "groundbreaking move into the free speech media space and will never have to fear being removed from social media again."

The terms of the purchase haven't been disclosed, and Parler notes it still has to go into a formal contract with Kanye that it expects to execute in the fourth quarter. It'd been reported Parler had raised upwards of $56 million in funding to get the site back up.

Parler was first pulled down because internet provider services claimed it wasn't doing enough to prevent hate speech and potential violence from fomenting on its pages. Likewise, KW was also recently frozen out of both Twitter and Instagram for antisemitic remarks ... among other public attacks, not to mention his "White Lives Matter" statements.

We should note ... Ye's new BFF, Candace Owens, may have facilitated things. Her hubby, George Farmer, is Parler's CEO -- although, presumably, he'd take a back seat to Kanye if this goes through.

Assuming Kanye actually takes the reins, he can finally say what he wants ... maybe. Even Parler is said to have changed its policies to be more traditional since its banning.

Timothee Chalamet Drops $11M On L.A. Home Owned By Kate Upton

Published | Updated

Timothee Chalamet is only 26, but he's already a massive movie star -- and spending like one too -- after scooping up Kate Upton's Beverly Hills home.

The 'Willy Wonka' actor just snagged the Los Angeles pad for $11M -- owned by Kate Upton and her baseball star husband Justin Verlander -- and passed down by other celebs before them. Kate and Justin listed the place earlier this year for $11.7 mil.

Chalamet will be in good company in his new neighborhood, the home, located in the mountains above Beverly Hills is right next door to Vin Diesel and John Mayer. Cameron Diaz and Eva Longoria are among some of the others in the area.

The pad sits on 1.5 acres and comes with 4 bedrooms and 5 baths ... there's a living room with a huge fireplace, an eat-in kitchen with its own breakfast nook, a lounge and a walk-in climate-controlled wine storage room.

If you step outside there's a plunge pool, a raised spa, and a brick terrace ... not to mention the full-size tennis court!

As you may know, Timothee gained international stardom after his role in the 2017 film "Call Me By Your Name". He'll still split his time between NYC and L.A., and obviously be living large on the West Coast.

Rare Nickel Sold For Some Serious Change!!!

Published

A century-old nickel -- believed to be fake and missing for several decades -- has sold for some serious cash.

The $4.2M piece of currency just sold, and was made back in 1913 ... with a Liberty head and a simple "V" on the tails. It's one of 5 nickels with that specific design known to be still in existence, with 2 currently in museums.

The hunt for this coin is crazy -- it was once owned by collector George O. Walton up until 1962, when he was killed in a car crash. The nickel was recovered from the accident, but his family was mistakenly told it wasn't the real deal.

The "fake" coin sat in a closet for decades ... but a nationwide hunt for the rare change kicked off in 2003, when Walton's family submitted it to an expert, confirming it WAS legit. They sold it at auction a decade later for $3.1M.

The Firman family, who owned the nickel, made the new sale -- selling to Ian Russell, President of GreatCollections in Irvine, CA.

FYI -- 1913 was the year the nickel's design changed from Liberty to a Native American on the head ... but a few OG designs, like this one, were still made under mysterious circumstances at the mint in Philadelphia.

Better check those couch cushions!!!

Jaime King Estranged Husband Says She's Not Paying Support ... And He's Now Broke as a Joke

Published | Updated

Jaime King's estranged husband, Kyle Newman, claims the actress hasn't ponied up the money the court ordered her to pay him ... and says now he can't afford to live.

According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Kyle says Jaime hasn't paid even the base amounts of $429/month in child support and $1,000/month in spousal support ordered by the court back in April.

He says she's also refusing to comply with a court order to disclose info regarding her income.

On top of that, Kyle says Jaime has decimated community property retirement accounts -- snagging over $500k.

Kyle even says she recently listed the family residence for sale without his consent ... and says proceeds of that sale totaling around $1.5 million are now frozen.

Kyle says he's now deep in debt -- pulling a bunch of cash from his retirement accounts to stay afloat.

He says she was the breadwinner of the family and claims he had to put his career as a writer and director on hold to be a stay-at-home dad for their 2 kids.

Kyle wants Jamie to fork over $700k in attorney fees and costs from the proceeds of the sale of the home ... and wants the judge to slap on an extra $50k in sanctions for defying previous court orders.

We contacted Jamie's rep ... so far, no word back.

A$AP Bari may have moved past his Miami car crash by scooping up a brand new Maybach, but the other guy involved sure hasn’t -- he's now suing the rapper.

A$AP Bari, whose real name is Jabari Shelton, has been hit with a lawsuit over the crash that happened back in July.

According to legal docs obtained by TMZ Hip Hop ... the A$AP Mob co-founder was driving his Mercedes-Benz "carelessly, recklessly, and negligently" when his car collided with another vehicle driven by a guy named Jorge Baez.

TOTALLY WRECKED

As you can see, the car was banged up pretty badly.

Jorge's lawyer, Jared Newman tells TMZ ... the accident left Baez with serious injuries and a bunch of medical bills. He's suing for more than $30K in damages.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

As we've reported ... Kanye West gifted Bari a new Mercedes Maybach SUV just days after the wreck.

Jared says, "It was nice of Kanye West to buy A$AP Bari a new Maybach and enable him to move on like nothing happened, but something did happen and A$AP Bari must pay for his negligence."

A rep for Bari had no comment.

Elon Musk on Ukraine Ugh, Fine ... Starlink Stays Even Though We're Losing Big Money!!!

Published | Updated

Elon Musk is begrudgingly agreeing to keep his satellite internet service up and running in Ukraine ... while complaining about how much money is going down the drain to do it.

The Tesla chief aired out his frustration on Twitter Saturday over a decision to potentially yank Starlink access out of Eastern Europe, apparently because it's too damn expensive ... and costing him and his company, SpaceX, a fortune to keep operating free of charge.

CNN says SpaceX honchos recently wrote D.C. to tell them they'd soon ask the Pentagon to start picking up the tab on Starlink as it pertains to Ukraine -- this after already burning through $80 million on their own dime ... with a projection of $100 mil by December.

Despite this report, EM himself is doing an about-face some 48 hours later. Now, he's saying 'screw it' ... we'll take the L and keep up the handouts, even if it puts us in the red.

He tweeted, "The hell with it … even though Starlink is still losing money & other companies are getting billions of taxpayer $, we’ll just keep funding Ukraine govt for free." In response to someone saying no good deed goes unpunished, he said good deeds should still be done.

It's unclear if Elon's being sarcastic here, but on its face -- it sounds like he and SpaceX are gonna bite the bullet on this and keep their satellites afloat as the war with Russia rages on. That's surprising, because lately ... Elon has been accused of being a Putin sympathizer.

A few weeks ago, he offered a would-be solution to the conflict ... and there were some concessions he suggested for Russia, which a lot of people weren't happy about -- including Volodymyr Zelensky, who fired back at Elon publicly for seemingly changing his tune.

The president posed his own poll, simply asking ... "Which @elonmusk do you like more?" The options being ... "One who supports Ukraine" and "One who supports Russia." The overwhelming favorite was the former.

Regardless of this tiff, it sounds like Elon's gonna do the right thing ... but he's not afraid to let us know he's pretty salty about it. Makes sense if you think about it -- he's got a lot on his plate, financially lately, including a fat bill to buy Twitter for about $44 billion.

'Bayonetta' VA Hellena Taylor Was Offered Just $4k to Voice Pt. 3??? Boycott New Game, Fans!!!

Published | Updated

Major controversy in the video game world -- the lady who's voiced 'Bayonetta' for years says she was offered chump change for part 3 ... and now wants the new entry boycotted.

Actress Hellena Taylor posted a series of videos Saturday, in which she accuses the honchos of "Bayonetta 3" of grossly lowballing her to reprise her character ... in an alleged amount of only $4,000, which she considered incredibly low and something to turn down in the end.

She ticks off her professional credentials -- not to mention her storied legacy as voicing Bayonetta since its inception in '09 -- as reasons why she thinks her talents are worth more.

According to HT, though, the companies behind 'B3' didn't think her services for the entire game deserved anything above a few thousand bucks ... which she says is insulting, and reason enough to stand up and speak out -- despite an apparent NDA she's breaking.

Taylor claims she even wrote the game's creator/ED, Hideki Kamiya, to explain why she thought it'd be a huge disservice to write her off and go with someone else ... and goes on to say he wrote her back with an empathetic message, and the final offer of $4k.

In the end, PlatinumGames/Nintendo -- which are behind the uber-popular 'Bayonetta' franchise -- tapped legendary voice actress Jennifer Hale ... a veteran in the gaming world, who almost certainly got paid more than just $4,000 -- that's what Twitter thinks, anyway.

Taylor says her beef isn't with Taylor -- whom she wishes the best -- but also notes ... this woman has no right to claim herself as Bayonetta, as the character as been helmed by herself since the beginning. She also slams the video gaming industry at large for what she says is a systematic practice of screwing over talent and keeping all the profits for execs.

PG and Nintendo have remained silent on the allegations so far, but Kamiya has fired back online with a somewhat ominous message ... "Sad and deplorable about the attitude of untruth. That's what all I can tell now. By the way, BEWARE OF MY RULES."

FWIW, Gaming Twitter is firmly on Hellena's side ... decrying the alleged decision to lose the OG voice actress over something as petty as this. It's also pretty sad to hear HT's description of her financial state ... sounds like she doesn't have much to lose by spotlighting this.

Meg Thee Stallion L.A. Home Broken Into, Thieves Raid Bedroom

Published | Updated

Megan Thee Stallion's L.A. home was ransacked by a pair of thieves who made their way into her bedroom -- taking hundreds of thousands in goods.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ two men, wearing hoodies and gloves smashed a glass door at the back of Meg's pad Thursday night ... giving them access inside. We're told from there, the men went into the primary bedroom.

Our sources say the crooks took an estimated $300-$400K in jewelry, cash and electronics from inside the home. Luckily, we're told Meg was not home when the men broke in.

At this time, police have not made any arrests, but we're told there's home surveillance of the break-in, and detectives are working to obtain more video and evidence from neighbors that could help them catch those responsible.

As for Meg ... she's set to host "Saturday Night Live" this Saturday. Usually, rehearsals will start Tuesday for celeb guest hosts, so it's likely that Meg's been out of town the whole week.

Alvin Kamara Sued Over Alleged Vegas Beatdown ... Man Seeking $10 Million

Published | Updated

New Orleans Saints superstar Alvin Kamara is being sued for allegedly attacking a man outside a Vegas nightclub during Pro Bowl weekend in February ... TMZ Sports has confirmed.

The plaintiff, Darnell Greene, claims he was among a group of people waiting for an elevator near Drai's around 6:30 AM ... when Kamara put his hand on his chest to keep him from entering the lift.

Greene says the running back then shoved him into a wall and repeatedly punched him in the face.

The lawsuit claims Greene tried to escape ... but AK chased him down and attacked him, causing injuries including a broken orbital.

Now, Greene has lawyered up ... and is seeking $10 million in compensatory and punitive damages.

"The brutal violent assault broke Greene's orbital lobe, severely injured his shoulder, back, and neck, and left him temporarily unconscious and helpless on the floor," the lawsuit states.

Greene claims Kamara boasted about his role in the alleged beatdown ... saying, "I connected with the [expletive]’s jaw so hard,'" according to the suit.

The alleged injuries were so bad, Greene states he will need to undergo multiple surgeries to repair the damage done to his body.

"Medical testing confirmed a disfiguring facial fracture to Greene's right orbital bone, blunt force trauma to his head, multiple disc protrusions, and structural tears in his shoulder," the suit says.

The lawsuit provides pictures of Greene's bloody face following the alleged beatdown ... as well as still shots from security footage -- and Greene claims NFL commissioner Roger Goodell hasn't taken any action to discipline Kamara.

Kamara is currently facing a charge of felony battery "resulting in substantial bodily harm" stemming from the incident ... but has continued to play for the Saints this season.

Tom Brady Fined For Kicking At Grady Jarrett ... During Game

Published

The NFL is punishing Tom Brady -- the Tampa Bay Buccaneers superstar has been hit with a fine for kicking at Atlanta Falcons defensive end Grady Jarrett during Sunday's matchup.

The moment went down with 3 minutes left in the Bucs' 21-15 win over the Falcons ... when Jarrett was hit with a controversial roughing the passer penalty after sacking the 7-time Super Bowl champ.

As Jarrett got up off the ground, Brady appeared to kick at the DE ... although it's unclear whether he made contact.

Regardless, Brady -- who will have made more than $330 million for his on-field work at the end of his 23rd season -- was handed an $11,139 fine for the kick, the league announced on Friday.

Jarrett recently said he spoke to the league about the incident ... explaining his side of the situation.

As for the controversy surrounding the play, Garrett thought he did exactly what he was supposed to when he sacked Brady on the potential game-altering play ... but the refs threw the questionable flag, claiming Garrett committed the penalty.

FYI -- players are fined $15k for their first roughing-the-passer offense ... so Brady won't have to shell out as much as Jarrett.
