Louie Anderson Hospitalized For Cancer Treatment

Published | Updated

Louie Anderson is battling cancer ... and he's getting treatment at a Las Vegas hospital.

A rep for Louie tells TMZ ... the iconic comedian is being treated for Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.

The type of cancer Louie has been diagnosed with is the most common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in the world ... and while it's an aggressive form of cancer, it's considered potentially curable.

The good news ... Louie's rep, Glenn Schwartz, says the comedian is resting comfortably in his hospital bed.

As you know ... Louie is famous for acting in tons of movies and TV shows, like "Coming to America" and "Baskets," and he's also got a recent standup bit about an awkward doctor's visit.

It's unclear when Louie was diagnosed.

The comedian was outspoken last year about his weight loss journey, saying he lost about 30 to 40 pounds during the pandemic and chalking it up to a new thing he was trying, intermittent fasting.

Get well soon, Louie.

Betty White One of Her Last Photos ... Taken Days Before Death

Published | Updated

Betty White was all smiles just days before she died, as seen in a newly revealed photo ... one of the last ones to document her life, in fact.

The late actress' assistant took to Facebook Monday with a post in honor of what would've been Betty's 100th birthday, and she threw up the pic of Betty she says was snapped 11 days before BW passed away on NYE.

The caption reads, "Hello Everyone! It’s Kiersten. Betty’s Assistant. On this special day, I wanted to share this photo of Betty. It was taken on 12/20/21."

Kiersten adds, "I believe it’s one of the last photos of her. She was radiant and beautiful and as happy as ever. Thanks to all of you who are doing kind things today and every day to make the world a better place ❤️"

If her date is correct, that would mean this was captured just a few days before Betty suffered a stroke, which is what ultimately led to her death nearly a week later, per the L.A. County Medical Examiner.

It's a pretty insightful snapshot if you think about it, as it seems to be one of the final times Betty appeared on camera. Funny enough, the very next day ... Betty is said to have filmed a little thank-you for fans as part of the new movie 'Betty White: A Celebration.'

The flick, which hits theaters on Monday, is a highlight reel of her life -- and the director, Steven Boettcher, said Betty recorded her message 10 days before passing on the 31st.

Just like here, she seemed to be in great spirits for the shoot. RIP

Little Paul Maclean in 'A River Runs Through It' 'Memba Him?!

Published

Montana native Vann Gravage was only 7 years old when he was cast as the cute kid version of the mischievous younger brother Paul Maclean -- who lives a life of fly fishing and adventure-seeking alongside his older brother Norman Maclean -- in Robert Redford's Academy Award-winning 1992 film "A River Runs Through It."

The coming of age classic is packed with A-list actors including Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the young version of the big bro, Norman, Craig Sheffer as the adult Dartmouth grad who returns home, Norman Maclean ... and of course Brad Pitt as the hometown big fish and gambler and grown-up version of, Paul Maclean.

Guess what Vann Gravage he looks like all grown up and still fishing!

'SNL' 'Biden' Says 'Spider-Man' Causes COVID!!! And Pete Davidson's Hilarious!!!

Published

Well, chalk this up to, if you don't laugh you'll cry, because 'SNL' slayed with their cold open, where "President Biden" blamed COVID and pretty much every other problem plaguing on America on ... SPIDER-MAN!!!

Pete Davidson -- who's become the star of 'SNL' -- appeared in all his glory as Joe Biden in the real universe, and it's pretty hilarious.

But before that, Biden (played by James Austin Johnson) explained there's a cure for COVID, and it's not the vaccine ... simply put, "Stop seeing 'Spider-Man!'"

Biden's getting grilled like a cheeseburger at a White House news conference, connecting the dots by saying, "Now, think about it. When did ‘Spider-Man’ come out? Dec. 17. When did every single person get Omicron? The week after Dec. 17."

And then there was this advice from the Prez  ... "See anything else.” I saw the first half-hour of ‘House of Gucci.’ That’s more than enough movie for anyone."

As for how you know if you have COVID ... "You want to know if you have Covid? Look at your hand. Is it holding a ticket that says you recently went to see ‘Spider-Man’? If so, you have Covid."

Then Pete appears, baring his tattoo-covered chest and explaining why, in the real world, Biden was not President. It's funny, but treading on dangerous territory.

So how long before Pete hops on a plane to return to his home away from home?

Brian Cox Oh, Johnny Depp??? He's 'So Overblown, So Overrated'

Published

Brian Cox seems just like his character Logan Roy -- in that the guy speaks his mind, even if it's at the expense of Johnny Depp, whom he considers ... eh, not that great.

The "Succession" star let his thoughts about Depp (and others) fly in his new memoir, "Putting the Rabbit in the Hat," an excerpt of which GQ obtained and published Friday. In the text, he takes aim at Depp for what he considers ... sub-par acting chops.

While reminiscing about passing on a big role for the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise, Cox writes, "It would have been a money-spinner, but of all the parts in that film it was the most thankless, plus I would have ended up doing it for film after film and missed out on all the other nice things I've done."

He adds, "Another thing with 'Pirates' ... it's very much the "Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow" show, and Depp, personable though I'm sure he is, is so overblown, so overrated."

BC wasn't done criticizing Depp just yet ... he continues, "I mean, 'Edward Scissorhands.' Let's face it, if you come on with hands like that and pale, scarred-face make-up, you don't have to do anything. And he didn't. And subsequently, he's done even less."

JD wasn't the only actor Cox had words for ... he also took some shots at Edward Norton, whom he describes as "a nice lad but a bit of a pain in the arse because he fancies himself as a writer-director."

You can read his story for yourself, but let's just say ... Spike Lee set Ed straight on the set of "25th Hour," according to Brian.

Nick and Priyanka Romantic Beach Stroll, Doggonnit!!!

Published

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra know how to take a pic ... with a beach stroll, a pooch or 2 and a little PDA.

Nick and Priyanka were the picture of chill at Del Mar Dog Beach, near San Diego. They meandered on the sand for about 30 minutes as their dogs took in the sights, sounds and smells.

Folks on the beach said Nick and Priyanka were super happy, chatting most of the time as they held hands and walked with their 2 dogs. They weren't stopped by anyone ... not even sure if they were recognized. Then again, it's possible everyone stayed to themselves because of Omicron.

As you know, Nick and Priyanka got married 3 years ago last month, so it's good to know ... they haven't talked each other out!!!

And, can we say ... lucky dogs!!!

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet Announce Divorce ... 'We Are Parting Ways In Marriage'

Published | Updated

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet are heading for a divorce after more than 4 years of marriage ... they're not using the word, but the message is clear ... they are "parting ways in marriage," and it sounds like COVID and all the craziness in America took its toll.

The celeb couple announced the shocking news Wednesday on social media ... with a shared statement explaining their decision to part.

Jason and Lisa say they've "felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times" ... and are "feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring." They're not specifically saying COVID, politics, division, etc. played a role, but you can read between the lines.

They say they wanted to go public so they can go about their lives with "dignity and honesty." Jason and Lisa say they are freeing each other to "be who we are learning to become."

They started dating way back in 2005 and got hitched in October 2017. They have two kids together, Lola Iolani Momoa and Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa.

Jason and Lisa say their devotion to their children is "unwavering" ... so it sounds like co-parenting will stick.

Sundance Fest and Hotels Yeah, We Canceled It, But Sorry ... NO REFUNDS!!!

Published | Updated

Hollywood execs and celebs who were planning to attend this year's Sundance Film Festival are in for a rude awakening ... because the event was canceled just days beforehand and now they stand to lose a boatload of cash.

This year's Sundance was scheduled for Jan 20-30 as a hybrid event with both in-person and online events ... it was expected to bring out filmgoers from around the U.S., volunteers and, of course, celebs and Hollywood honchos.

Well, that was until the festival was canceled only 15 days before the curtain was raised, due to the explosion of COVID. We're told hotels and Airbnb jacked up the prices like crazy -- $3k and up for some rooms and suites -- and now we're told a lot of them are not giving refunds.

Likewise ... Sundance organizers are not offering refunds to folks who paid to attend in person. Instead, attendees can either gift their packages to someone else or turn the money spent into a tax-deductible donation to the Sundance Institute.

Back to the hotels ... one example is Auberge Resorts Collection, which was charging $3,798 per night for some of the suites ... and guess what, it's non-refundable. The hotel is telling guests to come anyway and enjoy the skiing, or just reschedule.

When COVID strikes this way, a lot depends on what's in the contract.  If there's an "Act of God" clause, although it's not clear there have been successful arguments that money should be returned.

Something to think about in COVID times.

Machine Gun Kelly Engaged to Megan Fox ... 'and then we drank each other’s blood'

Published
UPDATE

10:19 AM PT -- 1/13 -- We spoke with Stephen Webster who tells us MGK came to them about 3 months ago to start work on the ring ... a surprising timeline considering the two have only been together a year and a half.

UPDATE

Webster says the ring was "created in 18ct white gold with a D color antique-cut Diamond, and an untreaded Columbian Emerald, perfectly matched pear-shaped gems, surrounded by colourless natural Diamond pavé”

UPDATE

We were approached by Colson to create a very special ring that had true connections to both Megan and himself. Over the three months of working together on the ring Colson mentioned that Megan’s birth stone is Emerald which he wanted to incorporate in some way along with a Diamond, his birth stone.

UPDATE

The resulting ring actually consists of two rings which, by the use of magnets buried within the Gold, are attracted to each other and sit together perfectly on the finger, a detail that is both modern and quite extraordinary. Created in 18ct white gold with a D colour antique-cut Diamond, and an untreaded Columbian Emerald, perfectly matched pear-shaped gems, surrounded by colourless natural Diamond pavé” - Stephen Webster, MBE

Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox are soon to be Mr. and Mrs. ... getting engaged with a pretty baller ring and allegedly celebrating by drinking each other's blood???

MGK made the announcement Wednesday, with the caption, "yes, in this life and every life” beneath the same branches we fell in love under, i brought her back to ask her to marry me."

The whole thing went down at Dorado Beach Ritz-Carlton in Puerto Rico ... a spot the two have visited before.

Megan too posted a video of the engagement, saying, "Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him."

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

But, it's how she ended her post that has people confused "…and then we drank each other’s blood."

It's certainly not the first time these two have swapped some bodily fluids, MGK has worn a necklace in the past with a drop of his now-fiancees blood in it.

He says he designed the ring with Stephen Webster, with Megan's birthstone, the emerald, and his birthstone, the diamond. Continuing, "set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love."

'Rust' Armorer Sues Halyna Would Be Alive If I Was in That Church ... Live Ammo Not My Fault!!!

Published | Updated

The head armorer on "Rust" says the fatal shooting would never have happened if she was in the church with Alec Baldwin and Halyna Hutchins ... according to a new lawsuit.

Hannah Gutierrez Reed just filed suit against Seth Kenney, the man whose company supplied the ammunition used on the set ... but she's also laying some blame on Alec and assistant director Dave Halls.

While Alec and Halls are not defendants, Hannah claims in the docs ... Baldwin did not respond to her request to schedule a cross draw training session for the movie's gun scenes. As we've reported, Alec was doing exactly that -- a scene where he draws the gun across his body -- when Halyna was killed.

According to the suit, filed by attorney Jason Bowles, Hannah claims she loaded the gun used in the church scene with what she believed were dummy rounds, and gave the gun to assistant director Halls, who told her he would be sitting with the gun during rehearsal.

Hannah claims she left the church, and within 15 minutes, Halls handed Baldwin the firearm. That's when Halls called out "cold gun" ... signifying it was not loaded with live rounds.

In the docs, Hannah claims it was not a scheduled rehearsal with Baldwin, and it was protocol for Halls to inform her if Baldwin was going to be filming or practicing the gun move. She says that didn't happen.

Instead, Hannah says Alec began practicing the cross draw from his shoulder holster to get the proper camera angles with Halyna ... and that's when the shooting happened.

I AIMED AS DIRECTED

She claims Alec would have learned safe gun practices with the cross draw, but he never responded to her request to train him on that move.

Hannah also says she would never have let Alec point a gun at Halyna -- but she wasn't in the church to do so.

She's suing Kenney because she believes he had access to the set and knew the code to the prop safe where guns were stored.

In the suit she claims he and his company, PDQ Arm & Prop, were the production's primary supplier of ammunition -- so they alone should be liable for the live ammo that clearly found its way onto the set.

Betty White Gift That Keeps Giving ... New Mural Supports Dog Rescues

Published | Updated

There's a new tribute to Betty White in town, but this one isn't just about honoring Betty ... it's about promoting the cause closest to her heart.

Corie Mattie is responsible for the new mural that's been installed on L.A.'s famed Melrose Ave. She says the piece took her roughly 15 hours to complete and includes the mission statement ... "Be More Like Betty."

Even cooler is the fact it's got a way for you to do just that.

Corie added a QR code on the mural which fans can scan to donate directly to wagmorpets ... an org supporting dog rescues. She tells us, Betty "loved animals so I thought it would be a good idea if people wanted to pose in front of it, this will go directly to [the] nonprofit."

The artist just figured the tribute was the perfect gift back to Betty ... who famously donated to and supported animal rescues for years. Corie's mural is right in line with a movement Betty's fans have started online with the #BettyWhiteChallenge.

The hashtag encourages people to donate to their local rescues and animal shelters.

BE MORE LIKE BETTY

As far as the mural itself... Mattie told us she felt Betty was the epitome of a "perfect human" who was way ahead of her time in promoting a more inclusive world. She says that's why she included the line, "Be More Like Betty."

Good advice for us all.

Mark Wahlberg Getting in on Celeb Tequila Biz ... Wants to Take on Clooney & The Rock

Published | Updated

Mark Wahlberg is a savvy businessman -- with his own line of gyms and burger joints -- but now he's taking on the tequila world with his sights set on some of the biz's celeb heavy-hitters.

A rep for Mark tells us he recently became a principal investor in Flecha Azul -- a company founded by Mexican PGA golfer Abraham Ancer and entrepreneur Aron Marquez -- who first reached out to the actor about the opportunity.

A source close to Mark says he traveled down to the distillery in Tequila, Jalisco, MX to check it out, liked what he saw, and wrote a "very big check" to join the company.

We're told it was important for Mark to be on location, and test the product so he could have "real skin in the game."

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

What's more ... our sources say Mark plans to reach out to George Clooney (Casamigos) and "The Rock" (Teremana) for a good ole fashioned tequila-off in the future to determine which celeb-backed brand reigns supreme.

Not only that, we're told Mark's burger chain, Wahlburgers, will exclusively sell Flecha Azul at its locations.

Of course, there's a whole slew of celebs now in the tequila booze biz -- including Kendall Jenner, Kevin Hart, Toby Keith, Justin Timberlake and Diddy.

Now Mark's got his hat in the ring.

'Nightmare On Elm Street' Home Sold For a Cut Under $3 Mil!!!

Someone's about to have trouble falling asleep -- the infamous home from the OG "A Nightmare on Elm Street" has a new owner, who's dropping $2,980,000 to toss and turn ... TMZ has learned.

Aside from being a kickass location for a Halloween party ... the 3 bedroom, 4.5 bath L.A. home has some impressive features like walnut floors, spacious backyard patios, a pool and a bed that devours you whole!!!

Kidding. The infamous bed from the classic horror film was not included -- that would cost way more than $3 mil.

Despite its place in Hollywood horror history, the home screams peaceful suburban bliss ... and was originally listed around Halloween for $3,250,000.

You can see in the photo gallery, the sellers really leaned into the whole Freddy Krueger thing to market the home.

The 2 story pad does come with a bonus -- a detached guest house with its own kitchen, covered patio and full bathroom.

We don't know who snagged the iconic home, but they are in for a treat ... and maybe a trick or 2. Their new favorite song?

"One, two, Freddy's coming for you.
Three, four, better lock your door ... "

HIS WORK LIVES ON

Bob Saget wasn't just "America's Dad," he filled that role in the stand-up comedy community too, always going above and beyond for fellow comics ... according to Adam Carolla.

The comedian and radio personality joined us Monday on "TMZ Live" and talked about Bob's legacy ... the one that was going on behind the scenes at comedy clubs across the country. As Adam put it, "Comedy attracts a lot of broken toys, sometimes ... but it also attracts some really interesting, deep, loving people. And, Bob was just one of them.”

Bob and Adam have a history of performing at the same stand-up events ... Bob also appeared on Adam's podcast "The Adam Corolla Show". And, though Bob's death is a huge, huge loss in comedy and television, Adam says, in a way, he will live on forever.

"I was listening to his last podcast today, hearing his voice as if he was still here ... and I thought in a weird way ... do you really die anymore?” He said in this day and age with podcasts, hours of shows tweets etc., "In a way, you can go back and get to know Bob Saget all over again".

DEEPLY SADDENED

Tributes are still pouring in for Bob from folks like D.L. Hughley, who we ran into at LAX. He reminisced about the last time he saw Bob -- coincidentally they were on their way to Orlando and both staying at the Ritz hotel ... where Bob would eventually die.

Check out the clip, D.L. told us about some "amazing" things Bob did on stage ... and off. He said, "He was a great stand-up comedic and an even better guy".
