The Rolling Stones have lost their appetite for "Brown Sugar" ... or at least their appetite for dealing with woke blowback -- they're retiring their classic tune due to its slavery depictions.

The Stones are 5 shows into their "No Filter" tour but a journalist noticed the band has not played the track at all in that span. That's huge ... considering "Brown Sugar" is reportedly the Stones' second-most performed song over the last 50 years ... at 1,136 times.

The issue is the 1971 track is all about the slave trade -- specifically, slavers raping enslaved Black women -- and shockingly, that's something many fans of the song don't even realize.

The opening verse is, "Gold Coast slave ship bound for cotton fields. Sold in the market down in New Orleans. Scarred old slaver knows he's doin' all right. Hear him whip the women just around midnight."

And, of course, the famous chorus goes ...  "Brown Sugar, how come you taste so good. Brown Sugar, just like a young girl should."

But, Keith Richards told the L.A. Times the song isn't glorifying slavery. The guitarist said, "I'm trying to figure out with the sisters quite where the beef is. Didn't they understand this was a song about the horrors of slavery? But, they're trying to bury it. At the moment I don't want to get into conflicts with all of this s***."

While the Stones might legitimately be trying to document the horrors of slavery, it sure doesn't come across that way when Mick Jagger and stadiums full of fans jump, clap and sing-along with those lyrics.

Anyway, it's not totally dead. Mick added, "Sometimes you think, 'We'll take that one out for now and see how it goes.' We might put it back in."

Translation: If, by some miracle, Mick and Keith outlive woke culture they'll play "Brown Sugar" again.

Too Short is circling back to apologize for a convo he had with Saweetie that made a lot of people accuse him of being a colorist, and in addition ... he's adding context to his remarks.

The Bay Area hip-hop icon tells TMZ ... he's sorry if he offended anyone with his words from 2020 during an IG Live chat between Saweetie and himself -- noting it wasn't his intention to come off favoring lighter-skinned Black people over darker-skinned folks.

You'll recall ... Short Dog told Saweetie he loved interracial relationships, and had actually only fallen in love with mixed women. He didn't say he wasn't into non-mixed Black women, per se, but many made that leap ... and claimed his remark was anti-Black.

Well, TS is here to set the record straight ... further explaining what he was touching on in his OG comments -- namely, that the Bay Area is very diverse and that race simply isn't at the forefront of many folks' minds there ... be it for hate, division or anything else.

There's another point from his Saweetie talk that he clears up with us as well ... saying beauty -- and ugliness, for that matter -- is found in ALL walks of life, regardless of skin tone or shade.

Important to say, because initially ... it sounded like he was implying only mixed babies come out looking gorgeous -- as opposed to, perhaps, Black infants or any other race of babies. That's not the case, though, as Too Short says here in clear terms.

Boosie Badazz was arrested, spent a night in an Atlanta jail and is already a free man after an incident that resulted in a fight at one of his shows … TMZ has learned.

A spokesperson at the Fulton County Jail tells TMZ ... Boosie was taken into custody Monday and charged with criminal damage to property, inciting a riot, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.

We're told the rapper was released Tuesday afternoon after signing his own bond.

TMZ broke the story ... a Boosie performance earlier this month in Atlanta came to a screeching halt when a fight broke out on stage, and cops were called.

As we told you, the Atlanta Police Department responded to a vandalism call ... and cops said Boosie and his entourage had dashed on stage during the show, damaging items belonging to a production company and allegedly destroying property owned by the arena.

Meek Mill's album art plastered on the side of a bus is triggering the hell out of a man on Hollywood Blvd. ... and ya gotta see his epic rant, which is all on video!!!

The guy dives right in, shouting and pointing at the bus wrapped with an advertisement for Meek's album, "Expensive Pain" -- which features artistic depictions of naked Black women. Some of them bending over, and it's all too much for this guy to take.

The meltdown seems to center on the imagery being plastered on a bus that's driving through his neighborhood. He also thinks it's disrespectful to Black women, and laments the fact tons of eyeballs are gonna see the ad.

The epic rant continues as the guy walks all around the outside of the bus, pointing out all the things he doesn't like about the artwork ... and then he tries to tie it in with vaccines and face masks.

This video is peak Hollywood Blvd, an infamous spot for bizarre rants -- but we gotta ask?

Coachella is making a U-turn ... ditching its plan to enforce a mandatory vaccination policy for ticketholders, and instead settling for testing negative right before the event.

The announcement came down Tuesday via an update on Coachella's official IG page -- which is run by AEG Presents -- saying, "After seeing first-hand the low transmission data and successful implementation of safety protocols at our other festivals this past month, we feel confident we can update our health policy."

The change ... allowing folks to come to Coachella (and other AEG Presents events, it seems) without having to prove they're vaxxed. Instead, you can just show a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of the day you're attending.

This is a serious about-face from what AEG honchos said just a couple months ago -- when they announced they'd be requiring proof of vaccines, adding they felt they'd be on the right side of history, and that it was in the best interest of everyone.

The explanation is sure to thrill any anti-vaxx, or anti-mandate, folks on the fence about attending Coachella -- but something feels weird about the change of heart.

Frankly, if ya wanted to be cynical ... you could argue AEG's making a business decision -- especially in light of the massive pushback we're seeing around the country in relation to vaccine mandate.

Smash Mouth's lead singer is calling it quits after his shot at one final show went off the rails ... because he says health challenges have become too much for him.

Steve Harwell tells TMZ he's retiring, saying ... "Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of being a Rockstar performing in front of sold-out arenas and have been so fortunate to live out that dream. To my bandmates, it’s been an honor performing with you all these years and I can’t think of anyone else I would have rather gone on this wild journey with."

His decision comes after video of the band's performance this weekend in upstate New York went viral due to Steve's behavior on stage ... in which he slurred his words, yelled at the audience and at times seemed completely disassociated with the event.

A source close to the band tells us ... Steve knew it was time to hang it up after the show, because it's impossible for him to keep performing as his health continues to deteriorate.

We're told he was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy 8 years ago, which has led to other medical setbacks like heart failure and Wernicke's encephalopathy ... a condition that impacts his motor functions, including speech and memory. He's also battled substance abuse over the years, which is further contributing to his health crisis.

Our sources say Steve was going through an episode during the live show, and it greatly impacted how he felt, at times not even understanding his surroundings.

Steve says ... "To our loyal and amazing fans, thank you, all of this was possible because of you. I’ve tried so hard to power through my physical and mental health issues, and to play in front of you one last time, but I just wasn't able to."

He adds that he's incredibly grateful to everyone who's contributed to Smash Mouth's success over the years, and to "those who have kept 'All Star' relevant as one of the top memes on the internet today."

Steve concludes, "I cannot wait to see what Smash Mouth accomplishes next and am looking forward to counting myself as one of the band’s newest fans."

Tim McGraw's sending a pretty menacing message to his fans -- boo me, and I'm gonna get in your face, which is exactly what he did to a couple ... bringing his concert to a grinding halt.

TMZ's obtained video of the tense confrontation that went down at Tim's show Saturday night at the Nugget Event Center in Reno, Nevada. We're told he was performing "Just to See You Smile" when fans noticed something was amiss.

Some folks in the crowd thought his voice sounded off, but also ... he forgot some of the lyrics. You can see at first Tim waves off the criticism, but then he seemed triggered ... as he stood up, stuck out his chest and stared down the hecklers.

The country star asked the hecklers why they were mocking him, and essentially told them, if ya don't like it, just leave -- but that wasn't enough. Tim jumped off the stage, and got in the couple's face. It's unclear what was said, but it is 100% clear Tim wasn't happy.

Some people in the audience were pissed too, because they wanted Tim to continue the show.

He ultimately addressed this head-on, telling the crowd he'd been shooting the "Yellowstone" prequel, "1883" for 48 hours straight. His point being ... forgive me if I forget a word or two.

Cardi B was bumpin' and grindin' all over her man at her 29th birthday party, and then he paid her back ... with a new home!!!

Offset revealed Cardi's bday present in the middle of her star-studded party Monday night at L.A. River Studios -- he bought her a house ... with a damn pool on the roof.

The Migos rapper got on the mic and unveiled his gift with a video presentation, saying he wanted to get her something extra special after the big year they just had ... including the birth of their son last month.

It sounds like Cardi's new crib is in the Dominican Republic -- her family's homeland -- and it looks like Offset found a nice, secluded spot surrounded by palm trees.

Cardi's party was rocking all night, with a Caribbean "dancehall" theme that had everyone in attendance movin'. Adele has to be the first person to ever say this -- she's grateful for the outrageous home prices in Los Angeles, saying London is impossibly expensive ... even for her!!!

The singer told British Vogue the cost of London real estate is the reason why she moved across the pond to the U.S. -- which sounds outlandish to us here in the Thirty Mile Zone, because L.A. has some of the most high-priced homes in America.

But, Adele says she can't afford anything in London that's similar to what she has stateside. She told the mag she's already invested more than $30 million on 3 properties in the Hidden Valley section of Beverly Hills.

If you're doing the math, that's $30 mil for more than 18,000 square feet of living space -- or an average of more than $1,600/sq. foot!!!

As we reported ... Adele's first home purchase was a $9.5 million pad in 2016, and in 2019 she bought the place next door for $10.65 million -- then completed the trifecta this year with a $10 mil purchase adjacent to her other 2 cribs.

The 15-time Grammy winner hails from London, but in addition to the difference in real estate prices, Adele says she wanted to live somewhere with "fresh air and somewhere I could see the sky."

Tyga and his girlfriend got into it after she showed up at his home screaming in the middle of the night, and now she's accusing him of domestic violence ... TMZ has learned.

According to a source very close to the rapper ... his ex-GF, Camaryn Swanson, came over to his home around 3 AM after he told her not to, and she was at his front door, shouting at the top of her lungs.

We're told Tyga, and other family members in his home felt Camaryn appeared to be under the influence. Still, he still let her inside to talk, and the yelling continued.

Our law enforcement sources say Camaryn claims Tyga put his hands on her during the argument. Afterward, her mother came to pick her up, and then Camaryn called cops to report the alleged incident.

We're told responding officers saw "visible marks" on her, and they took a report for felony domestic violence. Tyga has not been arrested. Police went to his home Monday morning, but he refused to speak with them. Instead, we're told he will go to LAPD Tuesday morning to tell his side of the story.

Tyga and Camaryn reportedly began dating in early 2021, and went Instagram official in March. It's unclear when they broke up, but we're told it happened prior to her showing up Monday morning at his home.

We've reached out to Tyga's camp, but no word back.

Kanye West seems to be saying goodbye to Wyoming -- or at least a big part of it -- because he's listed his monster-sized Monster Lake Ranch ... and it has folks wondering if he's coming home to Kim Kardashian.

The rapper's property -- a huge chunk of land outside the city of Cody -- is back on the market for $11 million ... which is surprisingly $3 mil less than the asking price when Ye scooped it up in September 2019.

As we reported ... it wasn't clear if Kanye paid the full $14 mil back then, but whatever he paid bought him 4,500 acres and a lot more than a mule.

The Ranch comes with 8 lodging units and is known for "monster trout" fishing. There are also 2 freshwater lakes, a restaurant, an event center, meeting facilities, and of course ... a whole lotta horse barns and corrals.

You may recall ... not long after Kanye bought Monster Lake, he dropped another $14 mil for another Wyoming property -- Bighorn Mountain Ranch.

While it's not for certain, many believe that his infatuation with Wyoming and spending a lot of time living and working there caused a major rift in his marriage. Kim even broke down crying there during a tense meeting in the summer of 2020.

Demi Lovato has an out-of-this-world take that's bound to get eyeballs rolling -- they think we should retire the term "alien" when referring to extraterrestrials ... seriously.

The pop star made the bizarre plea to us earthlings during an interview with Australian outlet PEDESTRIAN.tv -- in which they say the term "alien" itself is offensive ... even as it pertains to actual would-be aliens from outer space ... who may or may not be zipping around above us.

The context here is that Demi is plugging this new Peacock special of theirs called "Unidentified" ... where they and their pals go looking for proof of Martians, and seem to find something.

While talking shop on their E.T. project, they said this ... "I really think that if there was anything out there that would want to do that to us, it would have happened by now. But, I think that we have to stop calling them aliens because aliens is a derogatory term for anything." DL adds, "That’s why I like to call them ETs! So yeah, that’s a little tidbit. A little information that I learned."

It doesn't sound like Demi got this intel from the actual mothership or anything ... so it's unclear if aliens are, in fact, outraged by humans referring to them as "foreigners," which they would be by the word's definition.

Of course, the term does carry a negative connotation when applied to actual people -- like immigrants to the U.S., for example -- which is why some have called for phrases like "undocumented" and the like to be used instead ... as it's more kosher.

With that said, Demi demanding we nix the term -- one that's been used for at least a century or more in this country -- when talking otherworldly beings ... it's absolutely absurd.

Britney Spears is heading toward major life changes, but one thing that will remain constant is the custody arrangement for her 2 sons ... at least according to Kevin Federline's attorney.

Mark Vincent Kaplan tells TMZ ... even if Britney's conservatorship is dissolved next month, as she and others expect, the custody agreement she and K-Fed have for their boys -- Sean Preston and Jayden James -- will likely not be impacted, partly because of their ages.

Kaplan says teenagers -- the boys are 16 and 15 -- get a lot of say in court about what's best for them ... and, basically, the current arrangement ain't broke, so no one's looking to fix it.

As things are now, and have been for years, Britney and Kevin's agreement is she sees the boys based on when she wants to see them ... and also on what they want.

Kaplan tells there's us there's no need to switch things because everyone's happy, and at Sean and Jayden's ages there's less concern about their supervision at all times.

As we reported ... the seldom-seen sons of Britney and K-Fed made a social media appearance this week with their dad's friend -- a choreographer named Eddie Morales -- and both were all smiles as they posed with him.

Sean was also playing the piano in a short video, making a lot of fans think he might follow in Mom's musical footsteps.

Jamie Lynn Spears has something to get off her chest -- but prefers that we read about it ... and the timing seems to be anything but coincidental as it relates to her sister.

The one-time Nickelodeon child star -- and famous sibling to one Britney Spears -- just announced she's got a new book that's about to hit shelves ... which she calls "Things I Should Have Said." Hmmm, interesting title ... go on.

JLS explains the project -- which has apparently been in the works for a few years now -- this way ... "Back In 2017, after Maddie’s life changing accident, I felt a strong conviction to share my story, but there was a lot of personal work and healing that had to happen before I could share my truth the proper way."

She goes on to say that she's felt pressure her whole life to be perfect, even though she says she's far from it ... and adds this book will touch on her own mental health struggles.

There appears to be a shot at her family embedded in here, and perhaps a direct tie to Britney's conservatorship sitch -- with Jamie Lynn saying that instead of glossing over these problems "like (she) was taught to" ... she's being radically honest on the pages before her.

Jamie Lynn finishes by saying that she's still got a lot of learning to do, but hopes this book can help people who've lost their voice ... and who are trying to break unhealthy cycles in their own lives. She also says the proceeds are being donated to a nonprofit called This Is My Brave, which encourages folks who suffer from mental illness to share their stories.

Hopefully Justin Bieber's watched the "60 Minutes" special on deepfakes by now, so he can tell when he's complimenting -- or challenging -- the real Tom Cruise.

JB got totally fooled by the @deeptomcruise TikTok account recently, believing the "Tom Cruise" created by artificial intelligence was the real deal playing guitar and singing.

Justin was impressed, so he shouted out Tom for his musical skills ... and then reminded him of their previously rumored fight-to-be that never was ... with the Biebs suggesting he'd still wallop Cruise.

JB even went a step further later on by posting his own cover of the deepfake Cruise's song to show his respect.

But, it was all for naught, because Justin was fooled -- like so many others -- by the deepfake account that's existed since February, created by Chris Ume ... who uses A.I. technology to merge Cruise's face with impersonator Miles Fisher's to create the realistic effect.

Lamar Odom might have his next boxing opponent ... 'cause O.T. Genasis tells TMZ Sports he'd consider stepping in the ring with the NBA champ -- if the money's right.

41-year-old Lamar is fresh off whooping J.Lo's ex-hubby, Ojani Noa, in his second-ever Celebrity Boxing bout ... and has already been called out by Benzino.

When we spoke with O.T. at Rajon Rondo's Tacos AF event earlier this week, we had to ask if he would be putting his name on the list of Lamar's future opponents ... and hey, he didn't say no.

In fact, he tells us he's been training privately for years ... and hints he might be too skilled for the hooper.

Genasis wouldn't give us a guarantee on the fight ... but if you can read between the lines, you can tell he's highly confident in the hypothetical bout.

Genasis -- who would be a LOT shorter and lighter than LO -- says he'd take the fight very seriously ... and would need to spend countless hours in the gym in order to be ready to compete.
