Here's what Willis was talkin' 'bout ... Todd Bridges getting knocked the hell out -- on camera no less -- while trying to be a nice guy, backing up a friend in need.
The "Diff'rent Strokes" star recently helped his wheelchair-bound neighbor evict a woman living at the guy's house in the San Fernando Valley. We're told Todd's neighbor had asked him for help in the past, and Todd obliged this time too.
Well, things escalated quickly. Todd and the woman's boyfriend got into a verbal altercation, and next thing ya know ... Todd got sucker punched and laid out. It's pretty crazy ... in this surveillance footage, obtained by TMZ, you can see Todd was totally dazed from the hit.
We're told the guy fled the scene, but no police report was filed. As for Todd ... he tells us in a statement ... "No one likes to be sucker punched, but I am glad that I was there to help my neighbor, who was faced with a potentially dangerous situation."
Todd added, "Much rather it was me, and not my neighbor."
Great guy, but we gotta believe Mr. D or Mrs Garrett (RIP on both counts) would've reminded Willis ... no good deed goes unpunished!

Joe Theismann says he was so shook after watching Alex Smith's brutal leg injury on Sunday, he couldn't sleep that night ... telling TMZ Sports it's brought back some painful memories.
Joe was at FedExField on Sunday when Smith took a hit from J.J. Watt that snapped his fibula and tibia -- a compound fracture where the bone broke through the skin.
Of course, Theismann was on the receiving end of a similar hit back in 1985 when Lawrence Taylor brutalized him on "Monday Night Football" ... causing the same injury.
"It was so surreal yesterday in the stadium," Theismann told the guys on the TMZ Sports TV show ... "to have what happened to Alex on the day it happened to me 33 years ago."
Joe says the similarities between the two are eerie.
"It was I think 166th game for Alex. Mine was 167. Basically, the same place on the field. Heck, I have a nephew named Alex Smith who's 33-years-old ... the whole thing is crazy."
Theismann says for the first time in his life, he couldn't really sleep after watching the injury in person -- saying, " I didn't really think this thing had bothered me as much as it did, and I think it probably got to me a little bit more."
Joe says he considers Smith a friend and plans on reaching out to the QB after giving him some space to deal with the injury.
The big message for Smith -- Theismann says there's light at the end of the tunnel ... so don't give up hope.

We've just obtained shocking new video of Lil Pump moments after tear gas was dispersed at his concert ... and it's clear the rapper felt the full brunt of the attack.
You see a shirtless Pump rapping and hyping up the crowd as he stands on the edge of the stage, and that's when then the concert comes to a screeching halt as Lil Pump apparently starts smelling the gas.
Lil Pump has a puzzled look on his face as he slowly realizes something's not right, he lowers the mic and starts retreating off stage.
Backstage, Pump is nearly unconscious as he's getting treated by medics. Fortunately, he's able to recover and he climbs on top of his tour bus and finishes the show.
The crazy scene went down Friday night at Rock City in Nottingham, United Kingdom after someone tossed tear gas into the crowd.
The crowd may have gotten the worst of it because fans were sent scrambling as gas fills the auditorium. The building was evacuated and cops tell us at least two people were treated for minor injuries.
It's still unclear who launched the attack, but law enforcement sources tell us the incident was not terrorism.
11/19 -- The Notts Police Dept. confirmed over the weekend that it was a smoke flare that was discharged inside the venue.

David Arquette was bloody, mangled and nearly tortured Friday night in a wrestling match ... and there was NOTHING FAKE about it.
David was in a 'deathmatch' -- that's the name and not really an understatement -- at a Game Changer Wrestling event that went down at The Hi Hat.
The actor-turned-wrestler was up against Nick FN Gage and it was just brutal. Gage broke a light tube over Arquette's head. You see David grab his neck as blood pours from the area. Shockingly, the fight continues.
Toward the end, it looks like David gives up, climbing out of the ring, but then the 47-year-old hops back in as he bleeds profusely. Gage stomps on him, but David fires back by smacking Gage with a chair. It didn't take long ... David gets pinned.
After the match, David told his fans he needed a few stitches and he was fine.

Nichols College Coach Praises Team For Not Retaliating ... After Vicious Elbow
The coach who witnessed his player eat a VICIOUS cheap shot elbow tells TMZ Sports he couldn't be happier his team did NOTHING in retaliation.
The video's insane ... Fitchburg State was playing Nichols College (both D-III teams) Tuesday night in Massachusetts ... when FSU's star Kewan Platt intentionally elbowed Nate Tenaglia ... sending him to the deck.
A lot of people wondered where the hell Nate's teammates were ... and why didn't they step up and return the favor?
Nichols head coach Scott Faucher knows why ... he's got a squad full of smart dudes.
"We have older guys that have been through it. They understand what a retaliation might mean, in terms of consequences and things like that. So, their focus is on the next play."
Coach says he trusts Fitchburg to handle the situation ... and they did -- indefinitely suspending Platt from the basketball team and the university's campus.
As for Nate ... he somehow managed to eat the elbow and live to shoot another 3.
"[Nate's] doing well. We're going to continue to monitor him, but Nate's a tough kid."

Jay-Z's 40/40 Club Sued I Got Jacked Up ... At This Crappy Business, Man!!!
A guy who claims he got beat up during a brawl at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club is now looking at the dust-up with 20/20 vision ... and his sights are set on suing.
Jose Irizarry just filed suit against Hov's New York-based sports bar and lounge, alleging the venue's lack of adequate security combined with insufficient crowd control led to him getting seriously f***ed up during a melee that broke out this past March. For the record ... Jay isn't named in the lawsuit.
In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Irizarry claims he was minding his business at 40/40 when all of a sudden a huge fight broke out between some attendants and security ... and he became collateral damage.
Irizarry says he was struck in the head and body during the brawl, and endured pain and suffering, lost wages and medical expenses that he wants the club to cover.
Interestingly enough, the night in question is also the same night boxer Jermall Charlo was involved in a scuffle and had his bag full of diamonds and jewelry stolen. Irizarry's attorney told us he's almost certain the fight his client was dragged into was the same one.

Brooklyn Nets star Caris LeVert suffered a nasty leg injury Monday night that was reminiscent of the injury that sidelined Gordon Hayward for an entire season.
LeVert landed awkwardly after going up to attempt to block the Timberwolves' Josh Okogie and appears to have snapped his ankle. You can see how much pain he's in right away as he covers his face. LeVert had to be taken off the court by stretcher.
Caris LeVert injury alert. Gruesome injury. Be advised. pic.twitter.com/mdST0CxA8R
@JimmyClarke
The injury is eerily similar to the one Hayward suffered last year during his debut with the Celtics. Hayward also landed awkwardly on his ankle, and had to undergo surgery to recover.
LeVert's injury is undoubtedly a season-ending one. There's been no official update on the severity of the break, but it's a huge loss for the Nets, who were 6-7 going into Monday's game.
