CHAMPIONSHIP BLING

A "Back 2 Back" slogan engraved in the gold? Yup.

OH ... and the freakin' top IS REVERSIBLE -- because, ya know, back-to-back over Cleveland and all that.

As for the practicality of that whole unscrewing top thing ... not everyone was a fan -- Shaq said on air, "Why would you want your ring to open up???"

Melania Trump Jet Forced to Land For Mechanical Issues

Published | Updated

Melania Trump's flight was cut short Wednesday morning when her plane suffered a "mechanical issue" that pumped smoke into the main cabin.

The First Lady was on her way to Philly for an event and, just 10 minutes into the flight, the pilot turned the jet back to Andrews Air Force base to deal with the mechanical problem.

A FOX News reporter aboard the flight says Secret Service handed the press corps wet towels to put over their faces to deal with the smell of smoke.

The flight landed safely, and Melania didn't seem too concerned as she deplaned.

No word yet on what happened to the jet.

Roseanne Barr How 'The Conners' Killed Me Off

Published | Updated

Spoiler alert ... Roseanne Barr's character on "The Conners" was killed off by an opioid overdose.

The series premiere of the 'Roseanne' spin-off jumped right into Barr's death ... with writers wrapping up her storyline a mere 5 minutes into the show.

Turns out ... Roseanne had it right last month when she revealed her opioid OD in a gigantic spoiler.

Getting killed off the show was a foregone conclusion. You'll remember ... Barr got the ax from the "Roseanne" reboot only hours after she posted a tweet comparing former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett to the "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes."

Roseanne is gone from the spin-off, but she's still keeping busy ... appearing on podcasts and hosting her own talk show.

10/17 -- Roseanne responded to her TV death on Twitter Tuesday night after the show, "I AIN'T DEAD, BITCHES!!!!"

Canelo Alvarez Signs $365-Million Fight Contract ... Richest Deal Ever

Published | Updated

Canelo Alvarez just signed a 5-year fight contract worth $365 MILLION -- the richest deal in pro sports history -- this according to his promoter, Oscar De La Hoya.

Canelo's deal is for 11 fights over the next 5 years with subscription video streaming company DAZN, which only launched in the U.S. back in September.

"Canelo is the highest-paid athlete in the world. He's extremely happy," De La Hoya told ESPN.

Alvarez's popularity has exploded over the past few years with big fights with stars like Gennady Golovkin, Amir Khan and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Of course, Canelo famously battled Floyd Mayweather back in 2013 -- and lost -- but he's gotten a lot better since then.

Canelo's first fight under his new deal will go down on Dec. 15 against Rocky Fielding at Madison Square Garden.

"Being part of this historic deal will require me to prepare myself even more and offer fans even better performances," Canelo told ESPN.

"At the same time, I am humbled to be selected to lead this new vision for the sport of boxing, which will without a doubt be for the benefit of the fans."

FYI ... DAZN is now being led by former ESPN honcho John Skipper. The company has been making a major push when it comes to broadcasting live sports.

This is obviously a huge move for them.

Derek Jeter Boots Home-Run Sculpture ... 'Cause He Hates It

Published | Updated

Call this career homer No. 261 ... 'cause Derek Jeter just blasted the Marlins' center-field sculpture straight outta the park in Miami -- all because he absolutely despised it.

D.J. bought the Marlins back in 2017 ... and in his efforts to wash the stench of losing off the squad -- he's been battling to punt the obnoxious outfield piece of art.

In case you might not understand why ... it's a 7-story feature of fish, flamingos, lights and water -- and it all goes crazy after the Marlins' (not so many) taters.

Yeah, doesn't exactly scream winning baseball.

So, D.J.'s fought hard to get rid of it ... and finally, on Tuesday, he won permission from the county to boot the thing squarely outta sight.

The team says it's moving the piece outside the stadium ... and in its place will be an entertainment area where fans can stand and catch the game. Pretty cool, right??

As for Jeter ... he's refused to go on record with his distaste for the statue, but did say of it recently, "It's big. Yeah. It's big. It's big."

There it goeeeessss ... SEE YA!!

Meek Mill Wins $50k Trick Shot Bet ... Pay Up 76ers Owner

Published | Updated

Meek Mill can't lose these days ... first he gets his freedom back, then he squashes beef with Drake, and now he's winning a cool $50k by making a crazy over-the-shoulder, half-court hoops trick shot.

Meek was hanging out with his pal, Michael Rubin -- owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and one of MM's strongest allies when he was inside -- when the two men decided to have a little friendly wager.

Friendly, meaning $50k ... according to Meek.

Meek had 25 tries to make an over-the-shoulder, half-court heave ... and with about 9 tries left, he nailed it.

Listen, the NBA season kicks off Tuesday night and, while we think it's dope someone other than those guys are getting paid for basketball, this whole thing reminds of one very sobering fact.

We are SO not rich.

Famous Giant Gator Returns to Florida Golf Course ... 'Hey, Chubbs!'

Published | Updated

CHUBBS IS BACK!!!

Yeah, that massive 15-foot alligator sauntering through a Florida golf course has a name -- because he's become a "regular" ... and miraculously, no one's been eaten yet!

Chubbs was first spotted at the Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Palmetto, FL back in 2016 -- and has become a social media sensation ever since ... mostly because he's a giant, green monster.

But, the gator returned on Saturday -- with stunned golfers crapping their pants as the carnivore strolled through his home course.

Course officials have said Chubbs is almost like a pet -- he does his own thing and doesn't bother anyone.

Just as long as you keep your distance.

As for his name, guessing it's inspired by "Happy Gilmore" -- you remember the guy who lost his hand to a DAMN ALLIGATOR!!!

Kike Hernandez is trying to win back Dodger fans -- with a dick joke.

After partially blaming the fans for not bringing enough "energy" to Dodger Stadium on Monday -- when they got routed by the Brewers -- Kike has issued a statement trying to unite the base.

"The truth is, I suffer from ED," the Dodgers OF wrote ... "I think a lot of us suffer from it from time to time. So tonight, let’s all bring it. We can conquer Energy Deficiency together."

GET IT?! E.D. means Energy Deficiency! It's funny 'cause he wanted you to think Erectile Dysfunction!

Are you LOLing yet?

Don't worry, Kike followed with a more serious statement minutes later.

"On a serious note, I'd like to apologize to all who thought that I was blaming the fans for last night," Kike wrote in a 4-paragraph note. "That's not what I said nor will I EVER say such thing!"

"What I said last night doesn't portray the way I truly feel about you guys! You guys are the best fans in baseball ... I love you guys and I'll never stop being grateful for the way that you have embraced the weirdo that I am!"

Game 4's first pitch is at 6:09 PM PT.

Chili Davis On Cubs' Firing: DAMN MILLENNIALS!

Published | Updated

Having trouble getting through to millennials?! You're not alone.

Just ask ex-Chicago Cubs hitting coach Chili Davis, who says he just got FIRED because those damn kids just wouldn't listen!!!

58-year-old Davis was a STUD back in the day -- a 3-time All-Star with 3 World Series rings on his resume and a lifetime average of .274. Not too shabby!

But, the Cubs sent him packing on Monday after just 1 season with the team -- and Davis says he thinks he knows why.

"I guess I need to make some adjustments in the way I deliver my message to the millennial players now," Davis told the Chicago Sun-Times.

"I need to make those adjustments for the next job I get, if there is one."

Davis didn't call out any of the young players by name -- but says there were "multiple players there I didn't connect with" -- and notes he's learned what to look out for before taking his next job.

"I learned that the next situation I get in, before I say yes to a job, I need to make sure I know the personnel I’ll be dealing with in the clubhouse."

Translation -- NO MORE MILLENNIALS!

Even millionaire football players get their chops busted by their GFs ... 'cause Olivia Culpo just clowned all over Danny Amendola -- and the clip's hilarious.

The two were wandering the streets of Miami runnin' some errands ... when Olivia spotted Danny's mug on the back of a truck -- and whipped the camera out.

"Oh my god! Look who it is! It's you! It's you!!!" she said.

Then Miss Universe 2012 turned off the chill even further ... attacking the fresh toilet paper Danny just bought for his crib.

"Here he is in the flesh! And he buys toilet paper!!"

Published | Updated

Here they are ... the celebrity Dodger fans who attended Monday's NLCS playoff game -- and were part of the lethargic crowd that Kike Hernandez is partially blaming for the loss.

WHAT THE HELL, ROB LOWE!?!

In case you haven't heard, Kike was quoted after the game saying the lack of energy in the stadium affected the play on the field.

"We had no energy. The stadium had no energy. The fans had no energy," Kike said after the 4-0 shutout loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.

"Overall, it was a pretty bad game for everybody who calls themselves Dodgers.”

So, we decided to see who was in the crowd that night ... and it seems like Mario Lopez, Rebel Wilson, Danny Trejo and Will Ferrell have some serious 'splaining to do.

Paul Allen Microsoft Co-Founder Dead at 65

Published | Updated

Paul Allen, the billionaire who co-founded Microsoft with Bill Gates in 1975 is dead.

Allen succumbed to non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. He died Monday afternoon in his hometown of Seattle.

Allen, whose wealth was estimated north of $20 billion, announced 2 weeks ago his cancer had returned after 9 years in remission.

Allen and Gates, both college dropouts, hatched the idea for Microsoft in Albuquerque. They designed software for the yet-to-explode personal computer revolution.

The 2 men met when they were teenage students at Lakeside School outside Seattle. They became fast friends and bonded over their love of computers. The two would go "dumpster diving" for computer program code. Allen, who dropped out of Washington State, convinced Gates to bail from Harvard.

Allen is the one who came up with the name -- Micro-Soft.

The company moved to Bellevue, Washington in 1979. He was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 1983 and resigned shortly thereafter, but still was an active member of the board until 2000.

Allen bought the Seattle Seahawks back in 1996, 8 years after buying the Portland Trail Blazers. He also bought the Seattle Sounders, part of Major League Soccer, with business partners including Drew Carey.

Allen was a huge music fan, especially of Jimi Hendrix, and founded The Experience Music Project Museum in Seattle.

Paul donated more than $2 billion to various charities.

Allen was never married and had no children.

Paul's family says, "For all the demands on his schedule, there was always time for family and friends. At this time of loss and grief for us -- and so many others -- we are profoundly grateful for the care and concern he demonstrated everyday."

Paul was 65. RIP.

President Trump Take That, Stormy!! Defamation Lawsuit Tossed

Published | Updated

Stormy Daniels is taking an "L" in court in her legal war with President Trump -- a judge just dismissed her defamation suit against him.

Stormy had sued the Prez for saying she lied about the mysterious man she claims threatened her in 2011 to stop talking about Trump. She had even released a sketch of the man ... which Trump immediately shot holes in on social media.

He tweeted, "A sketch years later about a nonexistent man. A total con job, playing the Fake News Media for Fools (but they know it)!"

Monday, a federal judge tossed the suit, describing the tweet as "rhetorical hyperbole" against a political adversary. The court said it would be an unreasonable standard if politicians could sue every time an opponent fired verbal jabs.

It's interesting because ... the judge is characterizing Stormy as a politician. In the rule, he wrote ... Stormy had tried to "publicly present herself as a political adversary to [Trump]."

Stormy's lawsuit seeking to nullify the so-called "hush agreement" with Trump is still active.

Her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, plans to appeal the dismissal. If that's unsuccessful, Stormy will have to pay Trump's attorney fees.
