Keyshia Cole's Mom Died from Multiple Drug Intoxication ... According to Coroner

Keyshia Cole's biological mother, Frankie Lons, died of multiple drug intoxication ... her autopsy shows.

The Alameda County Coroner's Office tells TMZ ... Frankie's official cause of death was determined during her autopsy, which also revealed her manner of death as an accidental overdose.

As we reported ... she died on her birthday back in July after a several-decades-long battle with addiction. Frankie's brother, Sam, told us she overdosed at her Oakland home where she'd been partying for her birthday.

Sam had told us he checked in with her daily, trying to help her stay clean. Her battle was well documented ... and one Keyshia & co. shared publicly in recent years on TV, social media and other channels.

Frankie was regularly featured on Keyshia's BET reality show "Keyshia Cole: My New Life." The duo had many heart-to-heart moments ... and Keyshia was quite vocal about her mother's addiction struggles.

Keyshia was given up by Frankie and her biological father, Virgil Hunter, for adoption at a very young age. The singer was raised by family friends. Mother and daughter reunited when Keyshia was an adult ... and after she'd hit it big in music.

Frankie was 61.

Ron Rivera WFT Honors Coach With $25k Donation On 1-Year Cancer-Free Anniversary

The Washington Football Team is celebrating head coach Ron Rivera's one-year anniversary of being cancer free ... by making a big donation to St. Jude's in his honor!!

The team recognized the coach's one-year biopsy coming back negative with an incredibly emotional tribute this week ... featuring a video, donation and a helmet decal that players will wear on the field this weekend.

The best part?? Star players Terry McLaurin, Chase Young, and Jonathan Allen were shown in the clip applauding their coach’s perseverance since his initial diagnosis.

Remember, Rivera revealed he had squamous cell cancer in one of his lymph nodes in August 2020 ... but despite his health battle, coach still managed to be present for his team.

In fact, he led the WFT to a 7-9 record, the NFC East crown, and a playoff game against the eventual champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"Riverboat Ron" completed his radiation and chemotherapy treatment last October ... causing an emotional, yet heartfelt moment at the hospital.

The Football Team will honor the 59-year-old by wearing a "Rivera Strong" decal on their helmets ... and making a $25,500 donation to the proton therapy treatments he used to treat his cancer.

Rivera was clearly moved by the honor ... tearing up and sharing a touching message with his team.

Way to go coach!!!

Devin Booker Back At Suns Practice ... After COVID-19 Battle

Devin Booker is back in the mix -- the NBA star made his first appearance at the Phoenix Suns training camp on Friday after his stint with COVID-19.

As we previously reported, the shooting guard revealed on a Twitch stream earlier this week he tested positive for the coronavirus and had been battling the virus for a week.

The ex-Kentucky baller was placed in the league’s health and safety protocols ... causing him to miss the first 3 days of training camp with his teammates.

Booker confirmed he was vaccinated before catching COVID -- he told reporters he was gradually getting his sense of smell and taste back ... adding it was great to be back with his teammates.

The 24-year-old had a breakout year last season ... averaging 25.6 points, 4.3 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game before leading Phoenix on an improbable run to the NBA Finals.

Welcome back, D-Book!!

Joe Rogan I Think Joe Biden's A Faker ... Doesn't Believe POTUS Got Live Booster Shot

QUESTIONING BIDEN
The Joe Rogan Experience/Spotify

Joe Rogan believes Joe Biden did NOT get a COVID vaccine booster shot on live TV this week ... saying, "I don't think they would take the chance."

The comedian and UFC commentator delivered the wild claim on his "Joe Rogan Experience" podcast Thursday ... explaining he believes the President faked it all when he claimed to have received his third dose of the Pfizer vaccine on Monday.

“I think if they were going to give him a booster shot," Rogan said, "the last thing they would do is give it to him live on television.”

“What if he dies?" Rogan added. "What if he blacks out? What if he like gets it and faints? Like, because people have had very bad reactions like in the moment for whatever reason."

For his part, Biden says the shot was, in fact, very real ... writing on Twitter after getting the jab, "just like my first and second dose, it was safe and easy."

"Get vaccinated," Biden added. "Together, can we save lives and beat this virus."

It's not the first (or second) time Rogan's been involved in a COVID controversy. He previously suggested young people shouldn't get the vax. He also kicked up a stir when he revealed he was taking controversial medication, Ivermectin, when he had the virus.

Biden, doctors and health officials across the country have insisted COVID vaccines are safe ... and risks of extreme side effects are very rare.

Rogan, meanwhile, has called himself a "f***ing moron" in the past ... saying in April he's "not a respected source of information" after he suggested young, healthy people do not need to take the COVID vaccine.

Brett Kavanaugh Gets COVID-19 ... Days After D.C. 3-Mile Race

The Supreme Court has a breakthrough ... Justice Brett Kavanaugh has COVID-19.

Kavanaugh's result was announced Friday following a routine COVID test. A spokesman for the high court says the Justice is okay, though ... he's been fully vaccinated since January, and isn't experiencing any symptoms.

All of the Justices were tested on Monday, and all of them, including Kavanaugh, tested negative. What's interesting is that on Wednesday Kavanaugh participated in a race -- the ACLI capital Challenge 3 Mile Team Race in D.C.'s Anacostia Park. It's an annual event for charity that also includes other judges, elected officials and government workers.

Unclear how many, if any, other participants have tested positive. Justice Kavanaugh's wife and daughters, who are also vaccinated, tested negative on Thursday.

After crossing the finish line ... Kavanaugh posed a mean mug for the cameras ... all in good fun, of course.

The timing of his positive test couldn't be worse. In-person arguments at the Supreme Court were set to begin Monday, following an 18-month hiatus due to the pandemic. They'd previously been hearing arguments via telephone.

We don't know yet how Justice Kavanaugh's positive test will impact the schedule, but you'd have to imagine he won't be present Monday morning.

Champion Jockey Thrown Off Horse In Scary Video ... Goes Face First Into Railing

Jockey Oisin Murphy -- a 2-time British flat racing champion -- had a terrifying moment before a race on Thursday ... when his horse went out of control and threw him head-first into a railing.

The scary incident went down at the Salisbury racecourse in the UK ... when Murphy was getting a 2-year-old horse, Oasis Gift, ready for his debut in a seven-furlong event.

In the footage, it appears Oasis gets spooked and starts to lose control -- bucking and dashing across the parade ring with Murphy saddled on.

The 26-year-old Irish jockey was holding on for dear life ... but was thrown off his colt and plunged headfirst into the rail. The horse then burst right through the fence and kept running.

Murphy was sent to the NHS London hospital after the crash and somehow, only ended up with a few cuts to the face.

"I've had a few stitches to my lip + face. I’ve been discharged already," Murphy said on Twitter.

"Very grateful to their work and all the kind messages."

Oasis -- who was caught and unharmed -- was withdrawn from the race and Murphy will ride Japanese thoroughbred racehorse, Chrono Genesis, in Sunday's Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.

Monica Lewinsky I Had Suicidal Thoughts During Clinton Scandal

MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS
The Axe Files with David Axelrod/CNN

Monica Lewinsky says she had suicidal ideations during the scandal over her affair with Bill Clinton because she couldn't see a way out ... but a psychiatrist helped her through it and possibly saved her life.

Monica revealed her mental health struggles amid the investigation into the Clinton scandal to CNN's David Axelrod on Thursday's episode of his podcast, telling him she thought killing herself might be a solution.

Lewinksy says it went as far as her asking the lawyers working for Ken Starr -- who was leading the investigation -- what would happen if she died.

According to Monica ... it's inexcusable there was no protocol back then to help someone in her situation, but thankfully she began seeing a forensic psychiatrist who guided her through it.

She adds ... "And so I was, you know, pretty, pretty lucky."

Monica's infamous experience is back in the spotlight thanks to the latest installment of "American Crime Story" on FX -- 'Impeachment' -- for which she's a producer. BTW, the show is great and -- because Monica was so involved -- it gives never-before insight into her relationship with Clinton and Linda Tripp.

As we reported ... Lewinsky says she's finally reclaimed her life's narrative and harbors no more resentment from the scandal, but still feels like Clinton should want to apologize.

Brewers Star Devin Williams Breaks Hand Punching Wall ... Out For Playoffs

Devin Williams -- one of the best relief pitchers in the MLB -- punched a wall and broke his hand over the weekend ... and is now likely out for the rest of the season.

The 27-year-old explained the situation to reporters on Wednesday ... saying the injury happened shortly after the Milwaukee Brewers clinched the NL Central division Sunday night.

Williams said he went out to have a few drinks to celebrate the playoff berth ... but for some reason, became enraged on his way home and socked a wall.

Williams said he tried to pitch with the injury this week ... but just couldn't -- and was later diagnosed by team docs with a broken hand that will almost certainly require surgery.

"I'm pretty upset with myself," said Williams, who's expected to now miss all of the Brewers' playoff games. "There's no one to blame but me."

"I feel like I've let my team down, our coaching staff, our fans, everyone. I know how big of a role I play on this team and there's a lot of people counting on me. But I guess all I can do now is cheer my team on and learn from it and not make that same mistake in the future."

The blow is a significant one for Milwaukee -- Williams is a big reason the team had World Series aspirations this year. In 58 games, the right-hander posted a 2.50 ERA with a staggering 87 strikeouts.

As for if anything nefarious went down to cause the injury ... Brewers president of baseball operations David Stearns said Williams was NOT involved in any kind of altercation.

BLINK-182'S MARK HOPPUS I'm Cancer Free!!!

Blink-182's Mark Hoppus just got some great news on his battle with cancer ... his oncologist told him he's cancer free!!!

Mark says he just got done with his doctor's visit Wednesday, and the positive prognosis has him feeling blessed.

Hoppus adds ... "Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love."

Mark says he still has to get cancer screenings every 6 months and it will take him until the end of the year to "get back to normal" ... but he says the doc's news is amazing.

As we reported ... Mark revealed back in June he had been quietly battling cancer and vowed to remain hopeful and positive despite being scared about undergoing chemotherapy for lymphoma.

Hopefully, for Mark, the cancer is gone for good.

NBA Star Michael Porter Jr. Refuses To Get COVID Vaccine 'I Don't Feel Comfortable'

Michael Porter Jr. -- one of the biggest rising stars in the NBA -- says he will not get the COVID vaccine ... explaining he doesn't "feel comfortable" with the idea of getting the shots.

The Denver Nuggets forward -- who's made anti-vaxx statements in the past (see the video below) -- spelled out his feelings to The Denver Post this week, saying he just flat-out doesn't want the vaccine.

"For me, I had COVID twice," Porter Jr. said. "I saw how my body reacted, and although the chances are slim, with the vaccine, there's a chance you could have a bad reaction to it."

He added, "For me, I don’t feel comfortable."

7/29/20
HERE'S WHAT I THINK...

Porter Jr. also insisted the NBA should not be allowed to require its players to get the jab ... saying, "It should be everyone's decision."

"I see it both ways," the 23-year-old continued. "If you want to get it because you feel more protected and you feel safer, and it's protecting people around you, get it. That's good for you. But if you feel like, 'Oh, for me, I don't feel safe getting it, then don't get it.'"

For now, the Association has not made it mandatory for players to get the vaccine ... although the unvaxxed will have far more rules and regulations placed on them this season than the vaxxed.

For example, vaccinated players will have more freedom to leave hotels while on the road as well test much less often for COVID.

Porter Jr., though, is clearly fine with that ... adding, "I don’t want to risk putting something that might affect me negatively in my body."

As a reminder, doctors and government officials have said repeatedly the COVID vaccine is safe and can protect you and others around you from a severe reaction to the virus.

Britney Spears Conservatorship Battle Begins in Court ... Huge Hearing Underway

Britney Spears' potentially game-changing day in court is about to begin with her conservatorship hanging in the balance, and the environment -- inside and outside court -- is dramatic.

As you know, Wednesday's hearing is the most highly anticipated one since Britney testified in June during a previous hearing, in which she made shocking allegations and clearly stated she wanted to end the conservatorship after 13 years ... and possibly even sue her family.

Though Britney is not present in court today, her parents -- Jamie and Lynne Spears -- will be appearing via Zoom, along with Britney's attorney, Mathew Rosengart.

9/29/21
TAKING TO THE STREETS
TMZ.com

Wednesday's hearing for arguments on ending the conservatorship was originally set for January 28 but got moved up to today -- and while no one is expected to object to dismantling it ... it's still unlikely the judge will end the conservatorship today.

Instead, the judge could order another mental evaluation for Britney, or possibly order mediation where all the parties get together and come up with a plan on how to transition from the conservatorship.

Along with all that ... the hearing will likely address the removal or suspension of Jamie, fees for Jamie and his lawyers, and various accounting issues. So, get ready for a long one.

As we've reported ... ever since Britney spoke in court in June, a LOT has gone down -- both with the case and in Britney's personal life.

Following a quick Hawaiian getaway with her then-boyfriend, Sam Asghari, after her court testimony ... Britney began taking legal action to choose her own lawyer (her previous one, Sam Ingham, resigned) and remove her father as conservator of her estate.

Britney eventually hired Rosengart, who quickly went to work in ousting Jamie ... before Britney's dad seemingly agreed to step down in legal docs he filed in mid-August.

Things have gotten more complicated since then, however. After Britney formally asked to end her conservatorship last week, new allegations dropped in the NYT documentary, "Controlling Britney Spears," in which Jamie's accused of recording her bedroom conversations.

Then, on Monday, Jamie asked the judge not to forcefully remove him as conservator, but instead consider dissolving the conservatorship entirely.

The judge is expected to address some, if not all, of these issues Wednesday in court ... so get ready. You know the #FreeBritney crowd will be there ... as they've already gathered outside the courthouse to support their queen.

Meanwhile, as all of the legal issues have been unfolding, Britney's music manager resigned and claimed she's retired from performing ... and Britney and Sam got engaged.

Oh, and by the way ... TMZ has launched a podcast. Stay tuned for a new episode after the hearing breaking down everything that happened in court.

NBA Kyrie, Wiggins Could Lose Millions League Won't Pay Unvaxxed Players For Missed Games

Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins will each lose more than $15 MILLION if they refuse to get the jab ... because the NBA just announced it will NOT pay players who miss games for not having the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Association has not made it mandatory for players to be vaxxed, but local mandates in San Francisco and New York City will keep guys like Wiggins and Irving -- who have reportedly elected against the vaccine -- from being able to play home games for the Warriors and Nets, respectively.

Considering NBA teams play half of their games at home, this would keep the 2 stars from playing in at least 41 games this season ... which will put a serious hurt on their bank accounts.

Wiggins -- who is in a 5-year, $147,710,050 deal -- will reportedly pass up on $15.8 million this season ... while Irving -- 4-year, $136,490,600 contract -- will forfeit $17.5 million.

SOME RESPECT PLEASE
@kyrieirving / Instagram

Kyrie has spoken out about his choice ... saying it's a personal decision and he hopes to be with his team as much as possible.

Wiggins is reportedly hellbent on not getting the vaccine ... despite the Warriors setting up meetings with health officials to try to ease any fears.

The league says players cannot be forced to get vaxxed unless the players' union agrees to it ... and it sounds like that ain't happening any time soon.

Of course, it's absolutely their decision to not get the vaccine ... but that's a serious amount of money that could have the guys reconsidering their stance.

Britney Spears Termination of Conservatorship On the Table ... Hearing Promises to be Explosive

It is possible -- POSSIBLE -- the 13-year-long Britney Spears conservatorship could end today as everyone -- with one big exception -- appears in court via zoom for what promises to be an explosive showdown.

Multiple sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Britney will not be present for the hearing, but Jamie and Lynne Spears will be on zoom.

There was a hearing scheduled to hear arguments on ending the conservatorship set for January 28, but we've learned that was moved up to today. That presumably means the judge will hear arguments on ending the conservatorship, and here's the reality -- no one is going to argue the conservatorship should continue.

Britney, Jamie and Lynne all want to terminate the conservatorship, so there will be no opposition. Although it's possible the judge could end the conservatorship at today's hearing, our sources say it's unlikely.

There are 2 likely scenarios ... first, the judge could order another mental evaluation, because that's what triggered the conservatorship 13 years ago and maintained it for the years that followed.  That could take several months to complete.

Another option ... the judge could order a mediation where all the parties get together and come up with a plan on how to transition from the conservatorship. Specifically, who will manage Britney's business affairs and who will make sure Britney's able to live her life safely? As we reported, Jodi Montgomery has already agreed to stay on after the conservatorship ends.

And, that brings us to Jamie. TMZ broke the story, Jamie objects to the appointment of CPA, John Zabel, as temporary conservator of Britney's estate. Our sources say although Jamie has previously said he would step down after today's hearing, our sources now say he will ask the judge to keep him on as conservator until a transition plan is in place. This is something that Britney's lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, will fight tooth and nail -- he wants Jamie out NOW.

This promises to be a long hearing. Among the issues, removal or suspension of Jamie, termination of the conservatorship, fees for Jamie and the lawyers and various accounting issues.

TMZ has launched our first of many podcasts. Today after the hearing, we'll break down what happened and explain what it all means going forward.

Chrissy Teigen 'F*** Off,' Heather McDonald!!! Feud Erupts On Anniv. of Losing Jack

Chrissy Teigen is beefing with comedian Heather McDonald -- who slammed her as hypocritical, before Chrissy fired back with a "f*** off" ... and the feud happened to go down on the anniversary of her son, Jack, dying.

The model prefaced her reaction by saying she couldn't sleep all night because she "was up, sick, sobbing, as my phone popped up the memory of being in the hospital exactly 1 year ago, losing our baby."

She added, "So maybe I'm a little sensitive but f*** off." This was a direct shot at Heather, who had earlier called Chrissy a hypocrite over a post about looking 'perfect' on social media.

Okay, follow along ... Chrissy had posted a pic of herself glammed up, but with her eyes closed and her mouth slightly open. She captioned it, "I really think you guys are too conditioned to seeing perfect photos all day because so many of my comments on any given photo are 'why would she post this.'"

Heather commented on that post calling out Chrissy for "humble brags" ... posting allegedly unflattering photos when she knows she actually looks great.

Heather took it a step further when she reposted Chrissy's photo with the caption, "I cannot take it ... I'm just having one of those days where I had to point out the #hypocrite on IG. I can't be the only one that can see through this BS."

That prompted Chrissy to eventually respond ... "Why people follow people they hate [is] beyond me."

Chrissy acknowledged she was already distraught on Tuesday, as she posted a 1-year-old picture of herself crying in the hospital, with John Legend at her side, on the day they lost Jack.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

She captioned it, "And to the son we almost had. a year ago you gave me the greatest pain I could ever imagine to show me I could survive anything, even if I didn't want to."

You'll recall ... Chrissy lost Jack following complications with her pregnancy -- she'd been hospitalized for severe bleeding during her pregnancy and Jack was in the "danger zone" and doctors were never able to stop the bleeding and give Jack the fluids he needed.

Sen. Ted Cruz Takes #FreeBritney Battle to Capitol ... Offers Conservatorship Alternatives

JUSTICE FOR BRITNEY

Sen. Ted Cruz is proud to back the #FreeBritney movement, and did so Tuesday on Capitol Hill ... saying there are better options than a conservatorship for Britney Spears, and others in her situation.

The Senator from Texas raised Britney's case in calling for reform on conservatorship law -- and railed against the fact a grown woman "can't make basic decisions about her own life."

Cruz said, "Even though she's a mother, to this day she can't make basic decisions about her own life, her own career, her own health or her own finances." He added, "It seems that at each critical juncture, the legal system has been designed not for her benefit but to trample on her rights."

ABUSE OF POWER

Cruz's solution? Instead of conservatorships, he'd like to see, among other things, the ability for someone in Britney's position to form a support network of people they know and trust ... and consult this group in the course of making their decisions.

Cruz also went off about allegations Britney was forced to get an IUD to prevent her from having a baby -- a claim she made while testifying back in June. The Senator says, "That is not somebody else's choice to make. That is grotesque."

Many would call that statement about a woman's reproductive rights ironic, at best, and hypocritical at worst ... due to Cruz's support of Texas' new anti-abortion law.

It should be noted ... even though Britney made the birth control claim, her personal conservators says, legally, the conservatorship cannot restrict her ability to get pregnant or married.

Britney Spears Conservatorship Psychiatrist Told Britney was Overmedicated ... Advocates for Her Freedom

#Freebritney
TMZ.com

A renowned psychiatrist says he was asked earlier this year to determine if Britney Spears was overmedicated to the point she wasn't lucid ... and he makes an interesting case on how the conservatorship should end ... with one string attached.

Dr. Charles Sophy appeared on "TMZ Live" Tuesday and revealed around 8 or 10 months ago someone on Britney's team approached him to come and evaluate her medication.

Sophy says there was clearly a concern Britney was being excessively pumped full of drugs ... to the point she was not able to clearly speak for herself.

Sophy declined the invite ... because he didn't want to get involved in what he felt was a power struggle over the conservatorship. But, the good doc felt bad for Britney because he says IF she was in fact overmedicated it creates a vicious cycle she can't escape.

Dr. Sophy had an interesting idea ... end the conservatorship but attach one string -- that Britney must check in with the court from time to time to make sure she's taking her meds.  Otherwise, she should be free to live her life on her own terms, without a conservatorship.

Jamie Spears and Britney's lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, have been going at it in legal docs, and Wednesday's hearing promises to be contentious.

Also, we'll be launching the first of many TMZ podcasts Wednesday after the hearing to go over what went down in court and what it means for the future.
