Arizona Coyotes Cut Ties With 2020 Draft Pick ... Over Bullying History

Published | Updated

The Arizona Coyotes have severed ties with their 4th-round draft pick ... punting Mitchell Miller out of their organization over his bullying past.

The 'Yotes' selection in the 2020 NHL Draft has been accused of making one of his classmates' lives a living hell back when the two were in junior high in Ohio.

Isaiah Meyer-Crothers, a Black man who has developmental disabilities, told the Arizona Republic earlier this month that Miller beat him up and picked on him constantly.

"Everyone thinks he's so cool that he gets to go to the NHL," Meyers-Crothers said, "but I don't see how someone can be cool when you pick on someone and bully someone your entire life."

The harassment got so bad ... a police report was eventually filed, and in it, cops reportedly said Miller did some heinous things to Meyer-Crothers.

Officers in the report, per the Arizona Republic, said Miller called Meyer-Crothers racial slurs and made him lick a piece of candy that had been rubbed on a bathroom urinal.

18-year-old Miller reportedly admitted to the bullying in a juvenile court back in 2016 ... but the Coyotes still took him with the 111th overall pick in the NHL Draft earlier this month nonetheless.

And, initially, the team had stood by the pick, even in the wake of Meyer-Crothers coming forward with his displeasure over the selection. But, on Thursday, the team announced it's now officially moving on.

"Prior to selecting Mitchell in the NHL Draft, we were aware that a bullying incident took place in 2016," Coyotes' President & CEO Xavier Gutierrez said. "We do not condone this type of behavior but embraced this as a teachable moment to work with Mitchell to make him accountable for his actions and provide him with an opportunity to be a leader on anti-bullying and anti-racism efforts."

"We have learned more about the entire matter, and more importantly, the impact it has had on Isaiah and the Meyer-Crothers family. What we learned does not align with the core values and vision for our organization and leads to our decision to renounce our draft rights."

For his part, Miller apologized in a statement earlier this month for his disturbing past, writing, in part, "I am extremely sorry about the bullying incident that occurred in 2016 while I was in 8th grade. I was young, immature, and feel terrible about my actions."

Miller is committed to playing hockey at the University of North Dakota ... though it's unclear if the school still plans on allowing him to play in the wake of the Coyotes' decision.

PEN America announced Tuesday they were honoring 17-year-old Darnella with its annual PEN/Benenson Courage Award. Nossel adds, "Without Darnella’s presence of mind and readiness to risk her own safety and wellbeing, we may never have known the truth about George Floyd’s murder. We are proud to recognize her exceptional courage with this award."

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump -- who reps George's family now -- praised Darnella as well on Twitter, saying she showed tremendous courage and the award was well-deserved.

As we reported ... Darnella went through a lot of backlash in the immediate aftermath of her video being posted, with many questioning why she didn't do more than record it. Her family told us they were seeking therapy to help Darnella cope with the emotional trauma.

Darnella will share the award with Marie Yovanovitch ... the ex-U.S. ambassador to Ukraine who helped expose President Trump's efforts to get Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden.

Keiajah Brooks went OFF at a recent meeting with members of the Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners, dragging them for using Black kids as photo ops ... at least that's how she sees it.

With the election drawing near, Keiajah is sick and tired of seeing politicians and city officials using folks in her community to try to look woke for cameras.

Keiajah starts out swinging, telling the commissioners she's done being nice and respectable and, "y'all can't and won't be both my savior and my oppressor."

She added the kids cops pose with today will be seen as suspects by the same officers 10 years from now.

Watch ... Keiajah also rails against police reform, oppression and the cops' bloated budget.

Chrissy Teigen says she's trying her best to move on from the death of her son, Jack ... but, understandably, she needs to pour out her heart first.

Chrissy's opening up about the devastating loss she and her husband, John Legend, suffered last month. She says she's been taking the time to read all of the messages of love and support ... and truly appreciates everyone's kindness.

It's no secret Chrissy was going through a rough pregnancy, but she reveals just how serious and dire things got before she knew her baby boy wasn't going to make it.

In her open letter on Medium, Chrissy says ... "After a couple nights at the hospital, my doctor told me exactly what I knew was coming -- it was time to say goodbye. He just wouldn’t survive this, and if it went on any longer, I might not either."

She says they tried everything, but she was finally told she would have to let go the following morning ... which she says brought on "utter and complete sadness."

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Chrissy detailed the heartbreaking process of delivering Jack and saying goodbye, and how she asked John and her mother to take pictures -- no matter how tragic or uncomfortable.

She says, "I needed to know of this moment forever, the same way I needed to remember us kissing at the end of the aisle, the same way I needed to remember our tears of joy after Luna and Miles. And I absolutely knew I needed to share this story."

After Jack was delivered, she says, "I asked the nurses to show me his hands and feet and I kissed them over and over and over again."

Chrissy says she is recovering, and the horrific experience has just made her happier to have "two insanely wonderful little toddlers" she showers with love.

And, though she says the loss of Jack created a hole in her heart ... "it was filled with the love of something I loved so much. It doesn’t feel empty, this space. It feels full."

She added, "Thank you so much to every single person who has had us in their thoughts or gone as far as to send us your love and stories. We are so incredibly lucky."

New Mexico Family Gets Internet Paid For After 4th Grader Uses School's Wifi

Published

A family in New Mexico just got a helping hand after their young son was spotted using his closed school's WiFi ... since there was none available to him at home.

Roswell resident Angel Endecott says a good Samaritan stepped up and volunteered to pay for her family's Internet service for a year after a photo of her 10-year-old, Jonathon, sitting outside of his shuttered elementary school went viral, depicting him lying on the floor outside his school while using a computer for class time. The reason ... he needed access to WiFi.

Jonathon's mom says she and her husband had lost their jobs during the pandemic, and as a result ... had to cut off their Internet provider, among other things. Jonathon's still doing online learning, so they suggested he hit up the nearby campus to get a signal.

Luckily, the story had already gotten picked up after a few weeks of this ... so Endecott and co. don't have to worry about WiFi anymore. She says she's got other problems though, and has opened a GoFundMe account to solicit donations. Another GoFundMe to help other kids at the school who might not have WiFi has also been created. Both have raised thousands of dollars.

Jonathon's predicament is reminiscent of another one in California, where two little girls had to resort to hitting up a local Taco Bell for Internet. Just goes to show ... this isn't an isolated problem, and that schools offer a lot more than a basic education to a lot of families.

Tough times, indeed.

Kim Jong-un Wife's Been M.I.A. for 9 Months ... It's a Mystery!!!

Published | Updated

Sure, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is alive and well, but the same can't be said right now for his wife ... who hasn't been seen in public since January.

Ri Sol-ju was last with Kim for a public event at the Samjiyon Theatre in Pyongyang during a Lunar New Year celebration, but after she missed a military parade she usually attends on October 10 ... speculation's swirling about why, and where in the hell she is now.

Along with the darkest guess that immediately comes to mind, there are 3 main theories that are less disturbing -- but also maybe less believable.

One is that she's taking care of Kim's aunt who is ill. Another, from experts in South Korea, is that she's afraid of getting sick herself amid the COVID-19 pandemic due to lack of social distancing and masks at events.

And finally, there are reports she stepped out of the public eye to take care of her daughter, who's believed to have been born in 2013.

It should be noted -- about a year ago there was similar concern for Ri after she wasn't seen in public for 4 months, but then she was ... and people speculated she may have given birth.

Of course, it's hard to know what to believe when it comes to North Korea ... as we learned this past summer about her husband.

According to BabyCenter, there's been a huge increase in newborns with the names since the NBA legend and his daughter tragically died in a helicopter crash in January.

The site claims that's "far and away the biggest riser on the list for boys in 2020."

As for Gianna, her name among newborns rose from #76 to #24 (seriously, #24).

In case you were wondering, the top 10 for the year for boys included Liam, Noah, Jackson, Aiden, Elijah, Grayson, Lucas, Oliver, Caden and Mateo.

Black Lives Matter Women Tear Down Students' Art ... Community Puts Up More!!!

Published | Updated

A small group of angry adults destroyed "Black Lives Matter" artwork made by kids outside a Portland school, but the children are undeterred.

The 3 women tore down the BLM art hanging in front of The Cottonwood School on Sunday, while one of them -- appearing to be wearing a bulletproof vest -- expressed her disdain for the messaging on the signs.

According to the school ... the woman recording the incident is a community member, and despite her pleas for the 3 women to stop -- or at the very least not steal the kids' signs -- they ripped it all down and took off ... but not before the woman in sunglasses had a freak-out.

The good news -- the video's making the rounds, and members of the Portland community gathered Tuesday to support the students at the K-8 school with brand new signs ... while the students are working on making more of their own.

Cottonwood says that it "stands in solidarity with our Black families. Our goal is to nurture compassionate and confident students who possess the skills needed to confront racism in our community and beyond."

It continues ... "We are committed to fighting systemic racism, especially within our schools and neighborhoods, and we strive to model humility and non-violence for our children."

SHOWIN' SUPPORT

By the way ... the original artwork hung by the students went up in June. The school says the Oregon State Board of Education recently passed a resolution encouraging districts to support Black students, educators, and community members ... including renewing their commitment to anti-racism.

As you can see ... the 3 angry women seem to have a major problem with that.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Sued Over Underage Sexual Video Case

Published | Updated
UPDATE

12:11 PM PT -- 6ix9ine's attorney, Lance Lazzaro, tells TMZ ... the rapper will "defend the lawsuit vigorously" once he's properly served. Lazzaro adds that it's been 5 years ... and she's now deciding to sue.

Tekashi 6ix9ine's old criminal case -- in which he pled guilty to use of a child in a sexual performance -- has come back to haunt him ... because he is now being sued by the person who claims she's the one in the video.

According to legal docs obtained by TMZ ... the woman, identified as Jane Doe, is suing the rapper for allegedly sexually abusing her at a party in 2015 ... when she was just 13 years old.

Jane Doe claims, on top of being underage at the time, she was under the influence of drugs and alcohol and was unable to consent as 6ix9ine and another adult, Tay Milly, made 3 sexually explicit videos which she says they later posted online.

According to the docs ... the first video featured Doe performing oral sex on Tay Milly while Tekashi did pelvic thrusts behind her -- without engaging in sex -- and he slapped her butt. The second vid allegedly featured the girl sitting on 6ix9ine's lap in a bra and underwear, and in the third ... she claims she was laying naked across their laps while Milly groped her.

Jane Doe is suing 6ix9ine and Tay Milly for child sexual assault, child sexual abuse and infliction of emotional distress.

As you may recall ... Tekashi took a plea deal in the criminal case in October 2018 -- in which he admitted to partaking in the making and disseminating of a music video featuring a sexual video of a 13-year-old -- and was sentenced to 4 years probation.

In a recent interview with the NY Times, the rapper said he atoned for his actions, but also claimed he was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

He seemed to downplay his crime as well, adding ... "I was 18 at the time. Am I this 40-year-old Jeffrey Epstein type?"

We reached out to 6ix9ine about the lawsuit ... no word back so far.

Jacksonville, FL Deadly Shooting at Youth Football Game ... 7-Year-Old Hit, Father Killed

TAKING COVER

Cops are on the hunt for the person who opened fire at a youth football game in Jacksonville -- killing a 27-year-old man and wounding his 7-year-old son.

Video shows the moment the shooting took place Sunday at the football fields next to Arlington Heights Elementary School.

The footage does NOT show either of the victims.

You can see dozens of children playing football while their families watch -- and then all of the sudden, 4 gunshots ring out.

Cops describe the shooter as a man wearing a hoodie and a mask -- who jumped out of a grey SUV and fired the shots, before jumping back in the vehicle and driving away.

Officials believe it was NOT a random shooting -- they believe the 27-year-old victim was targeted.

During the shooting, most of the football players dropped to the ground to avoid being hit. Moments later, everyone on the field took off running, trying desperately to leave the area.

When the dust settled cops say the 27-year-old victim was killed in the attack -- and a 7-year-old boy (believed to be his son) was also shot, but he's expected to recover.

Officials are still looking for the suspect -- and they're asking anyone with information to reach out to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at (904) 630-0500 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous.

Jenelle Evans Reaches Custody Agreement with Ex, Nathan His Mom's Helping Out

Published | Updated

Jenelle Evans and her baby daddy, Nathan Griffith, finally have a plan to share custody of their son -- and it's gonna require a third adult ... Nate's ma.

A judge has signed off on the custody arrangement between the exes to parent their son, Kaiser ... and it includes a detailed schedule. According to the docs, Jenelle retains primary physical custody of the 6-year-old, while Nathan gets him every other weekend.

Grandma Doris will care for the boy every 5th weekend, and when Nate can't do it, his mom can fill in on his behalf.

Kaiser will also be jumping around between households on holidays -- on even years, he'll be with his mom for Thanksgiving and with his dad for odd. Come Christmas, Kaiser is set to celebrate with Jenelle on Christmas morning, and then with his dad later that day ... and until the 27th.

Nathan was granted a significant amount of time to be with Kaiser for the summer -- 6 weeks straight once school's out. For Mother's and Father's Day -- well, that one's easy.

Both parents will share legal custody of the kid, and have to figure out exchange points among themselves. Kaiser also can't be more than 2 hours away from Jenelle when he's visiting dad. And, per the judge, neither parent can trash talk each other in front of him.

Nathan Griffith
JENELLE'S DOING ME DIRTY

You'll recall ... Nathan vowed to get custody of Kaiser last year, claiming Jenelle was an unfit mom and was turning his son against him. Looks like they were able to work out their differences after all that time ... good deal.

Trick-Or-Treating 8-Year-Old Saves Halloween ... With Candy Chute!!!

Published

An 8-year-old kid named Harry may have figured out a way to save Halloween!!!

Harry lives with his fam in Washington, D.C. and was apparently noodling on how he and his pals could trick-or-treat in COVID times. He -- and we're guessing his family helped -- made a candy chute ... something that's catching fire as a way to safely dole out candy.

So, according to the family, Harry played a big part in designing the prototype. It certainly does the trick, although it's only gonna work on an incline. Nevertheless, the design is solid, so the family's now producing and selling chutes ... for a good cause.

Harry said, "I decided to sell them, exactly how much price they should cost -- which is exactly $25 and zero cents -- and how to decorate it," in an interview with NBC.

Proceeds will go to D.C. charities that offer Thanksgiving dinners to folks in need.

We're just wild about Harry. It's a song -- google it.
