NBA player Denzel Valentine got embarrassed at the Drew League in L.A. recently ... and now the man responsible for dropping 44 on DV is telling us why it had to be done in such savage fashion.

The man's name is Frank "Nitty" Sessions ... the reigning Drew Leauge MVP and triggerman for The Game's team, "Birdie's Revenge."

Sessions' beatdown of Valentine instantly went viral ... and when he spoke with TMZ Sports, he told us in this case it was a little more than a day's work ... it was PUNISHMENT.

"He said something that bothered me, that most NBA guys I play with would never say to me."

We asked Nitty what Valentine said to him ... and, while he wouldn't say exactly, he gave us an idea when we asked if DV referenced the difference in the two men's bank accounts.

"Oh, of course he did. That's why I lost it. It's two lines and we both playing for free right now. In between these lines that don't got nothing to do with it."

BTW -- Sessions ain't broke. He's been getting money playing ball overseas for years, and basketball pays all the bills for him.

Frank says he wants to test his game against Chris Paul or Patrick Beverley next ... but until that happens, relive what he did to Valentine below ... might not be suitable for kids, it's that nasty.

Reggie Theus says HE'S the reason Michael Jordan is what he is today ... and he's waiting on Bulls fans to finally respect that -- telling TMZ Sports, "I'm looking for a check actually."

The former NBA star was leaving LAX when he explained to us that if it weren't for him, the '90s Bulls might have never been a thing.

"I take a lot of credit for their success," Reggie says. "Because, if we weren't so bad, they would have never gotten Michael Jordan."

Theus laughs off the comment ... but Reggie WAS part of the Chicago team in the 1983-84 season that was so awful, it allowed the Bulls to get the No. 3 pick and take M.J. the following season.

5:13 PM PT -- Britney's lawyer, Laura Wasser and Kevin's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan just left the courtroom after a closed hearing. Sources say nothing substantive was decided and all hearings regarding Kevin's request for child support have been put off until a later date.

Britney Spears' legal team is about to square off with Kevin Federline's in an L.A. court, and the central issue is going to be whether Kevin needs additional child support for the 2 kids he had with Britney or whether it's because he's trying to get her to support his other 4 kids.

As TMZ first reported, Britney has been paying Kevin $20k a month in child support for years. In addition to the support checks, we're told Britney pays for the kids' tuition and related school expenses, clothing, extracurricular activities (including sports), and various other expenses. In all, she forks over around $35k a month.

Kevin's lawyer has reportedly demanded $60k a month ... which Britney and her conservator, Jamie Spears, have refused to pay. We're told Jamie is agreeable to raising child support by around $10k a month, despite the fact he believes Kevin doesn't really pay for anything related to the kids.

Friday's hearing, we're told, could get contentious because Britney wants to cut to the chase and figure out what, if anything, Kevin really needs for the kids. We're told Kevin's lawyer wants to comb through all of Britney's contracts to determine exactly how much she makes and spends.

We're told Britney's team thinks it's ridiculous Kevin's lawyer wants to go through the time-consuming and expensive exercise of figuring out what she makes because everyone knows she makes a fortune, so the only issue is how much more the kids need. Her team believes the only people who benefit from dragging this out into an expensive process are the lawyers.

Tekashi69's famous Jigsaw necklace and a ton of his other bling are back around the rapper's neck ... but we're told they're not the OG pieces.

Tekashi was out in NYC Thursday night flaunting his bling -- identical to the pieces stolen from the rapper's home last month -- and he let everyone know he's got at least a million bucks around his neck.

It would appear 6ix9ine has recovered the jacked goods -- but sources close tell us he simply had the original pieces recommissioned, shelling out a whole lotta dough in the process.

TMZ broke the story, Tekashi was hospitalized after he was allegedly pistol whipped by armed robbers just a couple weeks ago. Sources close to the rapper told us a different string of events than what Tekashi told cops ... but nonetheless, maintained his bling was gone.

We're told the Range Rover already comes super decked out, with 24" platinum Agetro wheels, a custom matte silver paint job and really sweet interior. All in all, sources say an estimated $20k went into pimping this ride to the Wests' liking.

BTW ... we're told a bunch of makeup and toys were found inside upon delivery. Makes sense ... it was her mom-mobile, after all.

YG's putting his money where his mouth is -- he wants young girls of diverse backgrounds to have opportunities in the tech world, and he's writing a $150k check to make it happen.

The Compton rapper delivered the check to Girl Code LA on Wednesday ... a move inspired by his little girl. Girl Code is an L.A.-based organization -- founded by Dez White -- pushing to develop and expose young women to computer science, business and software engineering.

YG tells TMZ, "With my donation, I hope they'll be able to expand their reach of future female coders and programmers. I want to make sure I'm doing my part. I got a daughter and I respect the G Code."

He also made sure the current slate of young and bright G girls walked away with more than just a smile -- he gifted all the young coders with new "Beats by Dre" headphones. Come up!!

He also chatted with them about the importance of exploring nontraditional career paths.

Earl Thomas ain't playing around with the Seahawks anymore ... issuing an epic ultimatum, saying, "Offer me an extension. Or trade me to a team that wants me to be part of their future."

OG Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul left his best friend a sizable portion of his estate ... this according to Vinnie's will.

TMZ's obtained the doc which outlines exactly how his estate should be divided following his sudden death in June -- and it's Vinnie's BFF, Charles Jones, who's walking away with 38%.

Vinnie's GF, Chelsey Yeager, isn't far behind with 37% of his estate. The rest is split between his tour manager (10%), drum tech (5%), producer (5%) and friend (5%).

And, get this ... Vinnie's also giving his interest in his brother and Pantera co-founder Dimebag Darrell's estate ... to Darrell's gf, Rita Haney. Darrell died in 2004.

The “Ghost Adventures” star tells TMZ he dropped $2,500 for the artwork and claims the person who sold him the painting says Manson himself created the work while in prison ... but hated it and peed all over it. Manson was pissed off, if you will. (Sorry, not sorry).

Zak says he bought the painting from the same dude who sold him Manson's chompers. And, get this ... he says the painting STILL smells like urine. It'll soon be available in Zak's "Murderbilia" exhibit at his infamous haunted museum in Vegas.
