Felicity Huffman Out of Prison After Only 11 Days

Published | Updated

Felicity Huffman is out of prison -- EARLY, because she only served 11 days of her 14-day sentence.

She was released from the federal facility in Northern Cal early Friday morning. The scheduled release date was Sunday, but apparently there's a policy that inmates whose release date falls on a weekend get sprung the Friday before.

Felicity's still not finished with her sentence. She still has to perform 250 hours of community service. She's already paid the $30,000 fine in connection with her guilty plea in the college admissions scandal.

Mind you ... prosecutors initially were gunning for a year in prison for Felicity, which they scaled back to 4 months, and then one month. The Probation Dept. rebuffed prosecutors and said they'd be satisfied if she served no jail time.

Timing is everything.

Jeremy Renner My Ex-Wife's an Unstable Liar

Published | Updated

Jeremy Renner has come out swinging against the latest attack by his ex-wife, claiming she's a woman scorned and a liar who concocted grotesque allegations against him out of vengeance.

Renner claims in new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Sonni Pacheco went off the rails in 2015 when Jeremy made it clear ... he rebuked her overtures to resume their marriage. He says she then went on a vicious campaign, falsely accusing him of physically and sexually abusing their 6-year-old daughter, drugging her and being mentally unstable. He notes Children's Services cleared him of any wrongdoing.

In the legal docs, filed by Jeremy's lawyer, Susan Wiesner, he claims she manipulated a photo to make it appear he had shot a gun in his house while daughter Ava was sleeping. He says no such thing ever happened and the photo was "grossly doctored."

He calls her claim that he's a homicidal maniac "absolute nonsense."

As for Sonni's substance abuse allegations ... Jeremy calls BS. He says he's been submitting urine tests every other day, and every test has been clean. He says despite the fact he's not an addict, he's tried to placate Sonni by hiring a sober living coach and mentor.

He says there will be irreparable harm if Sonni gets her way and he's limited to supervised visitation. In fact, Jeremy wants Sonni to have supervised visitation because he believes she's unstable.

He notes he's been the one who takes care of Ava most of the time ... doting over her and comforting her when she's ill.

He also says Sonni's claim that he threatened to blow his brains out is absurd, and she got one of his ex-girlfriends to lie for her about this.

Jeremy Renner Ex-Wife Wants Protection in Custody Case

Published | Updated

Jeremy Renner's ex has filed more documents in their bitter custody battle ... this time claiming some upcoming depositions should go down under extremely secure conditions, because she feels threatened by the actor.

Sonni Pacheco claims in the legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Jeremy put a gun in his mouth, threatened to kill himself and fired the gun into the ceiling while their 6-year-old daughter, Ava, was asleep in a nearby bedroom. Pacheco also claims he wanted to kill her and himself because Ava would be better off with no mother than having to deal with Sonni.

Renner has denied Pacheco's allegations and says he made no such comments. But, she's now asking the judge in the custody war to set aside a room at the courthouse where her depo and the depo of their nanny can be taken in order to feel safe there. She notes you can't bring a gun into a courthouse.

The nanny filed a declaration in Sonni's petition, saying Jeremy told her he fired a gun into the ceiling of their house "because of you [the nanny]. You're the reason I pulled the trigger.  Do you think if my blood and brains are all over my bedroom floor, do you think you would be living this lifestyle in this mansion." It's weird because there's no mention as to why Renner has beef with the nanny.

Lori Loughlin's Husband Allegedly Emailed ... 'I Had to Work the System'

Published | Updated

Lori Loughlin's husband practically admitted to paying big bucks to get their daughter into USC ... according to prosecutors.

In the indictment that brought a new charge upon Lori and Mossimo Giannulli, he's accused of emailing their accountant admitting to working the system to get their daughter admitted.

According to the docs ... Mossimo forwarded a $200,000 invoice he got from Rick Singer to his accountant for payment in April 2017 and wrote, "Good news my daughter...is in [U]SC... bad is I had to work the system."

Prosecutors claim on or about the same day, the daughter received a formal acceptance letter from USC and Mossimo wired the money.

As we reported ... the U.S. Attorney out of Boston filed a new charge of Federal Program Bribery against the couple Tuesday. The 2 allegedly paid $500,000 to the mastermind, Singer, to get their daughters into USC ... and this $200k is allegedly part of that total.

The new charge carries a maximum 5-year prison sentence. They've already charged Lori and Mossimo with various other crimes that could land them in prison for 40 years.

Of course ... they could also possibly cop a plea deal.

Diddy I Wanna Change My Name ... Sean 'Love' Combs!!!

Published | Updated

Diddy is looking to reinvent himself again with another name change ... he's taking legal action to switch his name from Sean John to Sean Love.

According to docs, obtained by TMZ ... Diddy filed a petition in Los Angeles County Superior Court for a name change.

In the docs, Diddy says he's changing his name from Sean John Combs to Sean Love Combs. Diddy doesn't expressly say why he's yearning for "Love," he just says there's a desire to change his middle name.

It's kinda interesting ... back in 2017, Diddy joked about changing his name to Brother Love, but he never followed through with an official petition.

Diddy's no stranger to changing his moniker ... he's performed under a ton of stage names like Puff Daddy, P. Diddy and Puffy ... but this time, he's making it official.

Hooters Sued Restaurant Has a Blind Spot ... No Braille on Gift Cards!!!

Published | Updated

Hooters needs to spread its wings and take care of visually impaired folks looking to purchase gift cards ... so says a legally blind man suing the popular restaurant chain.

Marcos Calcano is suing Hooters on behalf of himself and others with vision disabilities because its gift cards do not contain Braille, and he says he's clamoring to buy one ... according to a new suit.

Calcano says adding Braille to the cards is an easy fix that would make it much simpler for people like him to access the $400 billion gift card market ... and it "would restore the dignity to blind persons."

According to the legal docs ... Hooters informed him it does not sell gift cards containing Braille, and he believes the chain has no intention of doing so.

Hooters isn't alone, either -- Calcano claims to his knowledge, the only store that sells Braille gift cards is Starbucks ... even major retail chains like Walgreens, CVS and Target don't offer them.

At the same time he sued Hooters, he also filed against Domino's pizza.

He says he "intends to immediately purchase at least one store gift card" from Hooters as soon as the Braille is added.

Sounds like the guy's got a hankering for a 10-piece pronto ... or he's Christmas shopping early.

Calcano filed the class action suit seeking unspecified damages and wants the court to order Hooters to Braille up.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Hit with 5 Charges ... Domestic Violence, Child Endangerment & More

Published | Updated

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro might have dodged a felony in his nasty incident with Jen Harley ... but he has a laundry list of misdemeanors to deal with.

The embattled 'Jersey Shore' star's officially been hit with 5 different charges by the L.A. City Attorney for the early-October incident with his baby mama.

Ronnie's facing one count of domestic violence, one count of brandishing a weapon, one count of child endangerment, one count of resisting arrest and one count of criminal threats.

As we reported ... Ortiz-Magro was originally arrested for kidnapping after allegedly hitting Harley, chasing her with a knife, taking their 18-month-old daughter from her and locking them in their Airbnb. When cops came, he allegedly refused to come out and had to be tased before being placed in cuffs.

Ronnie caught a break Wednesday, though, when the L.A. County District Attorney's Office kicked his case down to the City Attorney because it didn't meet the D.A.'s criteria for any felony charges.

Still, Jen allegedly suffered gnarly bruises and scrapes from the fight with Ronnie and there are photos of the injuries ... along with a neighbor's surveillance video of her appearing to try to hide, and clearly looking scared.

Ronnie has denied wielding a knife or inflicting any injuries on Harley, and claims he was just trying to protect their daughter.

Nevertheless, LAPD issued an emergency protective order against Ronnie based on Jen's claim he said he was going to kill her ... but it has since expired.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro No Felony Charge In Fight with Baby Mama

Published | Updated

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro won't face any felony charges for the nasty incident with baby mama Jen Harley that left him tased and in handcuffs.

Law enforcement sources tell us the L.A. County District Attorney's Office kicked Ronnie's case down to the City Attorney on Wednesday. Only the DA has the power to charge Ronnie with a felony ... the CA will now decide whether or not to hit him with a misdemeanor.

The DA's decision is the second turn the case has taken in less than a week. TMZ broke the story -- while Ronnie was originally arrested for kidnapping -- the case didn't meet the DA's criteria for the charge.

Sources told us the LAPD was instead pushing for a felony domestic violence charge ... but clearly, the DA didn't think that was necessary either.

If the City Attorney does hit Ronnie with a misdemeanor domestic violence charge, the maximum penalty is 1 year in county jail.

It was earlier this month when cops were called to a home Ronnie and Jen were staying at in L.A. for a domestic dispute. Jen alleged Ronnie had gotten physical with her, and their 18-month-old daughter, Ariana, was right in the middle of it all.

In security footage -- obtained by TMZ -- you can see Jen apparently looking for a place to hide during the ordeal.

Lizzo Back Me Up, Judge!!! These Guys Didn't Put in on 'Truth Hurts'

Published | Updated

Lizzo's going to war -- a legal war -- with three songwriters who've been making a lot of noise, claiming they wrote parts of her #1 hit ... but Lizzo says that's BS.

Lizzo filed legal docs Wednesday in federal court asking a judge to declare the 3 men have no copyright on "Truth Hurts," and no right to share in the song's immense profits.

You've probably seen this bubbling up on social media. One of the songwriters -- Justin Raisen -- has claimed he cowrote a song called "Healthy" with Lizzo last year. He claims Lizzo lifted the signature lyric, "I just took a DNA test turns out I'm 100% that bitch" from "Healthy."

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Lizzo says that line is actually from a 2017 tweet that became a popular meme -- and that's why she decided to sing it on the 'Truth' demo. On social media, Lizzo said producer Ricky Reed was the only other person in the room when she wrote 'Truth.'

She says Justin and his brother, Jeremiah, and their reps have on at least 2 occasions acknowledged in writing they have no claim to 'Truth.'

Lizzo suspects they are trying to set up an "opportunistic" lawsuit to cash in on her hit ... which has been #1 for 7 weeks.

To be clear, she's not suing anyone ... Lizzo just wants the judge to declare all 3 songwriters -- Justin, Jeremiah and Yves Rothman -- have no right to her "Truth Hurts" profits.

Rose McGowan Sues Harvey Weinstein ... You Tried Smearing Me!!!

Published
UPDATE

12:09 PM PT -- Harvey's lawyer, Phyllis Kupferstein, got back to us ... "Once and for all, Rose McGowan will be shown to be what she is; a publicity seeker looking for money. From the moment she sought a multi-million dollar payout in return for not making these baseless allegations, which we rejected, we knew that she was waiting for an opportune time to begin this." She continued on ... "We will demonstrate that this case has no legal merit."

Rose McGowan is going after Harvey Weinstein and his former attornies ... claiming they conspired to smear her and discredit her rape allegations against the disgraced studio mogul.

According to legal docs obtained by TMZ ... McGowan claims "this case is about a diabolical and illegal effort by one of America's most powerful men and his representatives to silence sexual-assault victims."

McGowan -- who is also suing Weinstein's ex-lawyers, Lisa Bloom and David Boies -- claims back in 2016 she was going to write a memoir and motivational book called "Brave" that would include details about Weinstein allegedly raping her in 1997 at the Sundance Film Festival.

She then claims that when Weinstein learned about these plans, "he tapped into his team of fixers" with the goal of ensuring McGowan's story never saw the light of day ... "and -- if it did -- that no one would believe her."

McGowan then alleges Weinstein's lawyers -- in conjunction with the international spy agency, Black Cube -- worked together and "tried to steal McGowan's unpublished book" and attempted to buy her silence. She claims that Weinstein's plans were that if they couldn't stop her, they'd do everything in their power to ruin her reputation.

What's more ... she brought up what we had previously reported -- McGowan insisted Weinstein may have had a hand in having coke planted in her wallet back in 2017.

She claims, in docs, her lawyer, Jose Baez, advised her to drop that defense and instead plead no contest, which she did. McGowan says it's odd that 9 days after she pled no contest, Baez then signed up as Weinstein's criminal defense attorneys.

The actress, of course, is one of the first women to accuse Weinstein of sexually assaulting her. She helped spearhead the #MeToo Movement, which prompted scores of women to come forward.

McGown is suing for damages. A rep for Lisa Bloom tells us, "It is inexcusable that Ms. McGowan chose to include my client in her lawsuit. Facts matter. There is simply no credible factual or legal basis for her claims against my client. We look forward to our day in court to set the record straight."

We've reached out to Boies, so far, no word back.

Nelly UK Sexual Assault Case Settled

Published

Nelly is putting a sexual assault case behind him by reaching an agreement with his accuser to settle the matter out of court.

A woman in England had filed a lawsuit, about a year ago, against Nelly for allegedly sexually assaulting her after a 2017 concert in Essex. The accuser, who filed as Jane Doe, had claimed the rapper forced her to perform oral sex during a meet-and-greet.

According to docs filed Tuesday in federal court, and obtained by TMZ, the accuser has informed the judge that she and Nelly recently settled their dispute.

Neither side is saying whether money changed hands ... terms of the agreement are confidential.

Nelly's girlfriend, Shantel Jackson, is also in the clear now. The accuser had included her in the lawsuit, claiming Shantel lied when she dismissed the accuser as a liar.

As TMZ first reported, Nelly had similarly reached a settlement last year with another woman who claimed he sexually assaulted her on his tour bus.

40 Glocc Cops Plea Deal in Prostitution Case

Published

40 Glocc is close to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel in his prostitution case ... he's just cut a plea deal with prosecutors.

According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, the rapper has agreed to plead guilty to 1 felony count of promoting prostitution of an individual. As part of the plea deal ... prosecutors have agreed to drop 2 other felony charges -- fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and engaging in the sex trafficking of an individual.

Under the terms of the deal ... Glocc can argue for a jail sentence of between 4 and 12 months.

For now ... the rapper will be out on bail until his next hearing in February. Until then, Glocc's gotta keep his nose clean.

A judge still has to sign off on the deal and sentence Glocc before it's all official. So, Glocc's not outta the woods just yet, but he's inching closer.

As we first reported ... Glocc was nabbed in a prostitution ring back in 2017. He had allegedly driven a woman to an unknown location after an undercover cop contacted her through an ad posted on Backpage.com.

The woman was busted but Glocc took off. He was ultimately tracked down ... and cops say they found him with cuts on his hands from allegedly smashing multiple cell phones in his possession to avoid detection.

Cuba Gooding Jr. Two More Sexual Abuse Charges ... Third NYC Accuser Emerges

Published | Updated

Cuba Gooding Jr. is racking up new charges in NYC at an alarming rate -- the D.A. just announced he's been indicted on 2 more counts related to alleged sexual misconduct.

The Manhattan D.A. says the Oscar winner is now facing an additional count of forcible touching and another sexual abuse in the third-degree charge. After last week's indictment that brings Gooding's tally up to 6 charges related to 3 different accusers.

Prosecutors have not said when the new accuser's alleged incident went down. As we reported, the prior accusers are a TAO Nightclub server and a patron at Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge, both in NYC.

TMZ broke the story ... surveillance video appeared to show some contact between Cuba and the woman at Magic Hour Rooftop back in June, but he adamantly denied touching the woman's breast ... as she claimed to cops.

Gooding will be back in court on Halloween for yet another arraignment. His attorney, Mark Heller, tells us Cuba will plead not guilty ... just as he did for the 4 previous charges.

Heller added, "The new accuser is just one more splinter that comes out of the woodwork when a celebrity is criminally charged. But none of the splinters will form a plank leading to his conviction because he has not committed any crime."

Zooey Deschanel's Husband Files for Divorce

Published | Updated
UPDATE

4:02 PM PT -- According to the divorce docs -- obtained by TMZ -- Jacob says the couple has been separated since January. He's asking for both joint legal and physical custody of the kids.

Zooey Deschanel's husband has pulled the trigger and filed for divorce ... TMZ has learned.

Jacob Pechenik filed legal docs Tuesday citing "irreconcilable differences" as a reason for ending the marriage.

The couple announced their split last month after 4 years of marriage. At the time they said, "After much discussion and a long period of contemplation we have decided we are better off as friends, business partners and co-parents rather than life partners."

Zooey and Jacob met on the set of the Bill Murray comedy "Rock the Kasbah," on which Jacob was a producer.

The couple has 2 kids together ... 4-year-old Elsie and 2-year-old Charlie.

This is the "New Girl" star's 2nd divorce. She split from Ben Gibbard -- lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie -- at the start of 2012.

Zooey has been dating "Property Brothers" star Jonathan Scott. They posted their first Instagram pic together Monday, so they are Instagram official.

Lori Loughlin Faces New Charges ... In College Bribery Scandal

Published | Updated

Lori Loughlin and her husband are getting hit with even more charges in the college admissions scandal, and this time prosecutors are going after them for bribery.

The U.S. Attorney out of Boston just filed a charge called Federal Program Bribery. Translation -- prosecutors say Lori bribed officials of a university that receives federal funding.

As we reported, Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, allegedly paid $500,000 to mastermind Rick Singer to get their daughters into USC, and they faked a photo making it appear their girls were adept at rowing.

The new charge carries a maximum 5-year prison sentence. They've already charged them with various other crimes that could land them in prison for 40 years.

TMZ broke the story ... the U.S. Attorney is more open than ever for a plea bargain in Lori's case, especially after Felicity Huffman got sentenced to a scant 14 days behind bars. Prosecutors know the probation department and the judge who heard Felicity's case are not sympathetic to long sentences, because in their view no one really lost anything because of the alleged parental misdeeds.

Piling on a new charge could bring Lori and Mossimo to the bargaining table. On the other hand, they have vowed to fight the charges and are preparing for trial.

Blac Chyna Turned Deposition into Photo Shoot ... Say Kardashian Lawyers

Published | Updated

Blac Chyna allegedly used her time with Kardashian family attorneys to change outfits, strike poses and take photos ... when she was supposed to be answering serious questions.

According to new legal docs obtained by TMZ ... BC was scheduled to appear on September 24 for a deposition in her lawsuit against the Kardashians. The Kardashians claim it got off to a bad start when Chyna showed up more than 90 minutes late for what was already scheduled to be a 7-hour session.

But, what REALLY pissed off the Kardashians' legal team was BC allegedly holding up the deposition by engaging "in a photoshoot during the lunch break."

That's right ... in docs, team Kardashian says Chyna brought a suitcase filled with several wardrobe changes and snapped off a not-so-quick photo sesh for Fashion Nova while at her lawyer's office.

One of the outfits included a black trench coat/dress. She captioned that picture, "Stepped into the office to handle some business."

The Kardashians' lawyers beg to differ. According to docs, Chyna did everything but handle biz. They claim she was uncooperative, and her lawyers had to coach her throughout the deposition.

As we've reported ... BC's suing the Kardashians claiming they threatened to pull 'KUWTK' from E! and take it somewhere else if the network didn't put the kibosh on Chyna's spin-off reality show.
