Browns' Antonio Callaway Got Speeding Ticket On Way to Chargers Game

Published | Updated

Cleveland Browns wideout Antonio Callaway had some trouble before he took on the Chargers last week -- dude got busted for speeding hours before the game ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Police records show the 21-year-old was caught going 58 mph in a 35 mph around 7:30 AM in his 2018 Jaguar F-PACE SUV in Strongsville, Ohio.

Don't worry -- wasn't a big deal (like his last police stop) ... he was merely cited and sent on his way.

Callaway and the Browns took on the Chargers a few hours later -- but Antonio didn't exactly have a great game ... only catching 2 passes for 9 yards. The Browns lost 38-14.

Back in August, Callaway was pulled over for a routine traffic violation but things went sideways quickly when the officer found marijuana, gun parts and bullets in Antonio's car.

Suge Knight New Home Sweet Home ... Shipping Off To Wasco

Published | Updated

Suge Knight is now at the California state prison he could call home for the remainder of his 28-year sentence ... TMZ has learned.

Suge arrived Tuesday at Wasco State Prison ... and based on his super sad mug shot, it doesn't look like the former Death Row Records exec is thrilled with his new digs.

The prison is basically in the middle of nowhere in Kern County, and has 400 beds. It's a far cry from the lavish lifestyle Suge enjoyed when he was at his peak, partying in Hollywood with Tupac, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.

He'll undergo a battery of exams -- physical and mental -- and review his records before determining his permanent "home." He could stay at Wasco or be shipped off to a different state pen.

TMZ broke the story ... Suge struck a plea deal last month, and got a 28-year prison sentence. He got credit for time served and, due to prison overcrowding, could be out in a little over 10 years.

Aretha Franklin's Lawyer A Bill is Still a Bill ... Even If You're Dead

Published | Updated

Aretha Franklin is getting dogged in death over legal bills ... TMZ has learned.

The late singer's lawyer, Gregory Reed, apparently had some trouble collecting what Aretha owed him when she was alive ... so he's now hoping her estate will cough up some financial R-E-S-P-E-C-T. It sounds harsh, so soon after Aretha's passing, but Reed's filed docs demanding the estate pony up nearly $54k to cover bills dating back 6 years.

In docs, obtained by TMZ, Reed's firm says it provided a number of services to the Queen of Soul -- who died in August -- including negotiations on her final Atlantic Records contract. The firm says her last payment, for about $10k, was made in August 2012.

Seems Reed doesn't want to be added to anyone's chain-chain-chaaaain ... chain of fools.

Aretha's team tells TMZ ... "David J. Bennett, Esq., the attorney for The Aretha Franklin Estate is aware that Mr. Gregory Reed recently filed a claim and Mr. Bennett is looking into the matter.”

PBS NewsHour Sued You Can't Fire Me For Admiring Meghan Markle!!!

Published | Updated

Meghan Markle's drop-dead-gorgeous looks are having unintended consequences for a writer, who claims PBS NewsHour canned him due to a comment he made about the Duchess' looks.

Hugh Heckman, an award-winning newswriter, is suing over his firing. In docs, obtained by TMZ, he says on November 25, 2017, a female coworker sitting 20 feet from his desk complained to her boss after hearing him say "not bad" in reference to a photo of Meghan they were using for a story.

He says another female employee overheard and chimed in, "Haven't you learned?"

Heckman says he was embarrassed because he didn't mean it in a sexual way, and only wanted to convey he thought Meghan "possessed charm and beauty and was a suitable match for her fiance."

He says 2 days later he was fired. In the suit, Heckman says he heard the same 2 female coworkers once call Justin Trudeau "hot," but they were not fired. He's pissed about what he calls an obvious double standard at PBS NewsHour.

Heckman is suing for wrongful termination based on gender. We've reached out to PBS NewsHour ... so far no word back.

Tom Arnold Shut Down By Prosecutors ... Over Battery Claim Against Mark Burnett

Published | Updated

2:00 PM PT -- Tom Arnold just released a statement on Twitter, saying, "I intend to proceed with a claim against Mark Burnett for assault and battery. There were several witnesses who corroborated what he did to me that evening. The Police Department informed me that witnesses were reluctant to come forward against Mark Burnett because he is a powerful man, but that won't stop me from making sure that Mr. Burnett is held accountable for his conduct."

Tom Arnold has just been shut down by the L.A. City Attorney, who has just rejected his battery claim against "Survivor" and "The Voice" creator Mark Burnett.

As we reported, Arnold claims Burnett attacked him at an Emmy party last month, as he was recording the famed producer for his show, "The Hunt for the Trump Tapes." Arnold believes Trump used the n-word during filming of Burnett's show, "Celebrity Apprentice."

Arnold claimed Burnett grabbed his neck and started choking him, but TMZ has learned multiple witnesses came forward and were interviewed by the LAPD with a different story. Law enforcement sources tell us, "Survivor" host Jeff Probst told cops Arnold came charging up the stairs at Burnett and was grabbing for him when Burnett made a defensive move by grabbing Arnold's neck.

Probst echoed other eyewitnesses, who say Arnold was the aggressor, grabbing and tearing at Burnett's shirt and chain. Probst said it looked like a set up with Arnold lying in wait for Burnett.

The City Attorney rejected the case based on "insufficient evidence."

Christina Milian Standoff with Bouncer Leads to Brawl

Published | Updated

Christina Milian got caught up in an altercation with a bar bouncer who blocked her and a friend, and it eventually sparked a brawl and a call to cops ... TMZ has learned.

Christina and a group of women, including "WAGs" star Nicole Williams, hit up the Figueroa Hotel in downtown L.A. Tuesday night after attending the Bruno Mars concert. Witnesses tell us they were trying to get to the bar off the lobby, but the bouncer threw up a partial stop sign because it was after last call.

What's odd is, we're told he let in Nicole and few others before fully blocking the singer/actress and one other friend. One witness claims one of the friends who was inside reached to open a gate, Christina threw a drink at the bouncer, and then things got outta hand. We're told he tried to grab Christina, but 2 guys stepped in and the fight started.

Christina's camp tells us a different story -- that the hotel manager told the group they could enter the bar, and when the bouncer started getting aggressive ... Nicole left to go find that manager. They deny Christina threw anything, and claim the bouncer actually struck one of her friends during the standoff.

When it was clear he wasn't budging they called an Uber and left. Christina's people say the bouncer actually followed them down the street as they walked to meet their ride.

As for the fight -- Christina's peeps say the guys involved were not with her. Law enforcement sources tell us LAPD responded, but no word if anyone filed a report.

A rep for the Figueroa says the fight "was unfortunate and was diffused by hotel staff and security to the very best of their ability."

MSBNC's Steve Schmidt Trump's to Blame for Bomb Scares ... He's Stoking This Fire

Published | Updated

President Trump bears some responsibility for the pipe bombs sent to Democrats, and anyone with ears should know that, says former GOP strategist Steve Schmidt.

Steve told us Wednesday the person who actually assembled and sent the bombs is ultimately to blame -- but added, POTUS would have had metaphorical blood on his hands had the devices detonated ... because he's been condoning violence for years now.

Schmidt, who's renounced the GOP and is now an MSNBC fixture, says Trump has encouraged his base to resort to violence against his enemies -- specifically Democrats and the media.

Considering those were the groups targeted, Schmidt says it's clear Trump's rhetoric is spawning a pseudo Civil War.

As we told you, multiple suspicious packages were discovered en route to the residences and offices of the Obamas, the Clintons, Eric Holder, Maxine Waters, CNN and more. Cops say all the devices were pipe bombs intended to cause harm.

FWIW ... Trump condemned the would-be attacks, and vowed law enforcement would track down the attempted murders.

TRUMP CONDEMNS THE ACTS

Nonetheless, Schmidt's sentiment seems to have caught on ... because people are now calling the culprit the #MAGABomber, prematurely tying his or her motives to Trump.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Ice was arrested by Port Authority police Wednesday morning for toll evasion as he was approaching the George Washington Bridge on the New Jersey side. We're told he tried crossing in the E-ZPass lane ... for drivers who prepay tolls with a transmitter, but Ice's didn't work.

Ice-T apparently didn't realize that and continued driving his brand new McLaren sports car, but was quickly pulled over by cops.

Our sources say cops discovered the McLaren was not registered, so they arrested him for evading the toll and gave him a ticket for the unregistered vehicle. Not shockingly, the exotic car was spotted by passersby on the road.

Ice-T tells us he simply forgot to bring his E-Z Pass with him. He has 7 of them in his other cars, but didn't have it in the brand new McLaren ... which he says was just shipped from California.

Ice-T says he was released by cops and went straight to the "Law & Order: SVU" set ... where he plays a cop. Irony much?

Jake Paul Sued You Forged My Name on a Lease ... And Then Trashed the Joint!!!

Published | Updated

4:42 PM PT -- A source close to Jake tells us the social media star never forged Goodrich's signature. In fact, we're told his signature is nowhere on the lease at all ... he was only listed as a potential tenant. Our source says the actual tenant is 10 Digit Media, so any claim that Goodrich was used for his good credit is BS.

Denver Broncos Cut Chad Kelly ... After Bizarre Arrest

Published | Updated

The Denver Broncos have axed backup QB Chad Kelly from the team after he was arrested Tuesday morning for allegedly trying to break into a Denver-area home.

Broncos general manager John Elway was furious after learning about the arrest and decided it was best to get rid of Kelly ... according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Cops say Kelly broke into a home around 1:17 AM and sat down on the couch next to a woman who was holding her baby. Kelly was reportedly mumbling incoherently at the time.

Police say someone in the home chased Kelly out while striking him with a piece from a vacuum. He was ultimately arrested for criminal trespassing.

Kelly had attended Von Miller's Halloween party earlier in the evening ... and there are reports Kelly had to be escorted out after getting into a physical altercation with another guest.

Elway released a statement on the decision, saying, "Even though Chad's no longer part of our team, we've offered to help him however we can and are supportive of him in every way possible."

This leaves the Broncos with only 2 QBs on the roster -- starter Case Keenum and backup Kevin Hogan (who played at Stanford).

Migos Sued I Recorded 'Walk It' 10 Years Before You ... Rapper M.O.S. Claims

Published | Updated

One of Migos' most iconic songs is a straight cover -- at best -- or an absolute ripoff at worst ... according to another rapper who's suing the trio.

Leander C. Pickett -- better known, he says, as M.O.S., -- says he recorded a song called "Walk It Like I Talk It" way back in 2007, and released it on a DJ Folk mixtape in 2008.

In docs obtained by TMZ ... Pickett says he realized, in January 2018, Migos had released a track on their "Culture II" album with an amazingly similar title -- "Walk It Talk It" -- which uses a "substantial portion" of his version.

tmz_generic_audio_file_01
STRIKINGLY SIMILAR

It's true, when you listen to both songs ... it's hard NOT to hear the similarities, especially in the chorus to the songs. For what it's worth, Pickett says he filed for a copyright on his song in March 2018.

Pickett is suing Migos and Capitol Records to get paid ... after all, it's his song, according to him. He also wants a judge to stop Migos from any future use of his composition.
