Eminem is cleaning out his closet to help out during the global pandemic ... parting ways with an EXTREMELY rare and expensive pair of his Jordan 4s for COVID-19 relief.

The Rap God announced the gesture Wednesday ... saying he had an extra pair of his highly coveted Jordan 4 Retro "Carhartt x Eminem" kicks lying around ... so he teamed up with shoe auction site StockX to raise money for the good cause.

So ... what makes these shoes so damn expensive?? Back in 2015, Em and the Jumpman made just 10 (TEN!!!) pairs available for bidding on eBay, with proceeds going to the Marshall Mathers Foundation.

Ever since, only a few pairs have made it to family and friends ... but for the most part, normies have a snowball's chance in hell of getting their hands on them.

In fact, the pairs that have made it to resale are going for INSANE numbers ... ranging from $20-$28k on StockX.

To make Em's gesture even sweeter, he's throwing in a vintage "Detroit Slim" shirt on top of the Js ... with the proceeds for the combo going to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

Masks ... so hot right now, so make sure you get one that makes ya look good out there in the middle of a global pandemic.

That's what a trendy menswear store in West Hollywood seems to be suggesting with its display of mannequin men sporting face coverings in the front window of the shop.

Check it out ... all the plastic models at Klein Epstein & Parker are wearing fashionable face masks that appear to have been made out of stylish pocket squares or a similar material.

So, it begs the question ... is this the next new accessory, whether it's required where you live or not?

As we reported ... cities in California, New York, Maryland and others are now requiring citizens to wear masks or face coverings out in public at essential businesses.

Even dogs and cats are getting in on the action to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Hey, all you cool cats and kittens, these felines would like you to take extra precaution when you're out in public or at essential businesses and cover up your faces ... just like them.

Sure, it might not be necessary for these cat owners to put masks on their indoor pets -- and in some cases, the cats may not be on board with the photo op -- but they're setting a good example for how to stop the spread of COVID-19 ... just like these dogs.

Plus, in wake of 2 house cats testing positive for coronavirus in New York -- don't worry, they're expected to recover -- even our furry friends can't be too careful.

Like countless other U.S. workers, a celebrity photog's biz took a blow when the pandemic forced us into quarantine, but he's found a creative way to join the virtual movement.

The photographer, Isaac Alvarez -- who's worked with the likes of Jon Hamm, Michael Madsen, Jo Koy and Lauren Cohan -- tells TMZ ... after the stay-at-home orders were implemented in L.A., he knew he couldn't just stay locked inside not working.

So, he says he began reaching out to publicists to the stars and inquiring about doing shoots via FaceTime ... and got a great response.

He tells us it hasn't necessarily been a simple transition, though, and the process takes longer than a regular in-person shoot. Alvarez says he has to guide his celeb subjects to find good backgrounds and the best lighting ... along with a way to mount their phone. A solid WiFi connection is also a must.

Once he has them in the right spot, striking the right pose ... he snaps the shot.

Isaac says he's been doing 3 FaceTime photo shoots a week, but points out these aren't paid gigs yet. He tells us he's just been trying to keep his creative juices flowing as a photographer ... and people still need to express themselves during self-quarantine.

He says he's still getting paid to edit people's photos and videos, and there's some product photography work for him ... but it's limited.

Nancy Pelosi looked more like she was on the set of "Contagion" the sequel than the U.S. Capitol building ... as she and her entourage all strolled in wearing masks.

The House Speaker arrived Thursday to the nation's capital as the House of Representatives begin debating several coronavirus-related issues and, hopefully, vote and approve the new stimulus package to help the reeling economy and specifically small businesses. The Senate already approved the nearly $500 billion relief bill.

You can see it's not just Nancy wearing a face covering. Her staff and security detail are also following the CDC's guidelines to wear masks while entering essential businesses. When the session began, you can also see almost every member -- both Democrats and Republicans -- wearing masks, though there were a few knuckleheads who opted going sans mask.

Lululemon's cut ties with one of its art directors for promoting a "Bat Fried Rice" shirt many feel is racist and designed to push anti-Asian sentiment amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The popular exercise apparel brand apologized Tuesday for its involvement in the controversy, which ignited Sunday after Lululemon employee Trevor Fleming shared a link to the shirt for sale by California artist Jess Sluder.

As you can see, the white and red long-sleeve t-shirt features chopsticks with bat wings on the front and a Chinese takeout box with bat wings on the back ... along with the words "No Thank You" on the box and down the sleeves.

Sluder was selling the shirt for $60 and thanked buyers for their support and sense of humor in a now-deleted post, adding ... "Where did COVID-19 come from? Nothing is certain, but we know a bat was involved."

Though the COVID-19 virus is believed to have come from bats, reports of violence against Asians have increased since the start of the pandemic due to its apparent origin of China.

Lululemon responded to the outrage over its affiliation with the "Bat Fried Rice" shirt by firing Fleming and rebuking the shirt's message as inappropriate and inexcusable.

The company says, "We acted immediately, and the person involved is no longer an employee of Lululemon." It added that the shirt design is not a Lululemon product and it opposes "any discriminatory behaviours."

It's been a while -- for real, how long's it been? -- but the eerie scene of silent NYC streets is still hard to get used to ... particularly the boarded-up stores at one of its most popular shopping spots.

Check it out ... a month into the coronavirus pandemic, and the once-thriving designer and luxury boutiques of SoHo are all still shuttered.

The Louis Vuitton and Polo Ralph Lauren shops chose to go with a more branded look for their lockdowns -- with inspirational quotes to boot -- but the end result is the same as Jimmy Choo, Dior and Chanel ... closed for business, and hopefully protected from theft.

Of course, many of these stores went dark in mid-March, when pandemic panic was in full swing and the City ordered non-essential businesses to close.

Shop owners were initially encouraged to keep their lights on or hire additional security to protect valuables instead of boarding up -- to maintain a semblance of normalcy -- but stay-at-home orders quickly followed ... so they battened down the hatches.

As we told you ... law enforcement in NYC was concerned the new ghost town environment would result in break-ins and burglaries, particularly in the night hours, but so far it seems the boards have done their job.

Finally, Gala -- a single mother from South Carolina -- tells us the financial boost will help pay off mounting bills, especially since her Army earnings are the sole income for her family, which includes her father.

Gala says it's been overwhelming at times, but this pleasant surprise will certainly help out big time.

No doubt, the promise of more funds to come from Cardi B and Fashion Nova are giving needy families a glimmer of hope.
