Megan Thee Stallion My Label Says No More New Music ... Get Me Outta My Contract!!!

Published | Updated

Megan Thee Stallion says a simple request to renegotiate her contract turned into a stalemate that's keeping a lid on any new tunes.

The rapper took to IG Live Sunday to call her out her record label, 1501, claiming they're not allowing to drop any new music for the time being -- all because, as she claims, MTS asked them to tweak some fine print in the deal she's signed with them at a young age.

Megan says she signed with 1501 when she was about 20 years old, and there were a lot things in her contract with them she simply wasn't aware of -- that is, until she started getting managed by Jay-Z's Roc Nation, which pointed a lot of stuff out to her.

Long story short, Meg says everything was all good and dandy until one day she approached the label and asked to renegotiate ... at which point, she says things went "left."

Megan claims as a result of her asking ... the label has put her and any new tunes on ice. She likens the move to nothing more than greed in its purest form -- and it's clear, there's beef.

MAKIN' HOUSTON PROUD

Interestingly enough, we actually spoke to the co-founder of Meg's label, ex-MLB player Carl Crawford, and he told us he basically discovered Meg and helped put her on. Didn't sound like there was much friction between her and them at the time -- seems things have changed.

The bad news is for fans, of course -- 'cause if what she's saying is true, it can mean a whole year without some 'Hot Girl' seasons to bless us. Shame ...

Michael Bloomberg Protesters Turn Their Back On Him ... During Selma Speech

Published | Updated

Michael Bloomberg's controversial past with minorities and people of color isn't going away -- that much is clear by the striking protest he received during an event in Selma.

The billionaire media mogul and ex-NYC Mayor was among the many Democratic candidates in Alabama this weekend to commemorate the 55th anniversary of Bloody Sunday -- when hundreds of civil rights marchers were brutally beaten by cops during a demonstration.

At this particular service at the Brown Chapel AME Church -- where Bloomberg and Joe Biden delivered remarks -- a handful of people stood up and turned their backs when Mike stepped to the podium. It was done in silence, and they sat down when he finished.

The pastor who intro'd him, Reverend Leodis Strong, said he thought it was important for MB to show and to speak ... and for people to hear him out on how he's changed. Clearly, not everyone felt that way.

Of course, Bloomberg has come under fire for old comments he made about the policy he adopted when he was in power -- namely, unchecked and blatantly racist implementation of stop-and-frisk by the NYPD. At first, Bloomberg said it was effective to deter crime.

Michael Bloomberg
SHOWING TRUE COLORS?

Later, he scaled it back and eventually apologized for his words. Apparently, some folks aren't accepting his apology. It should be noted, more people didn't protest than those who did.

Bloomberg's looking to rake in delegates for the first time on Tuesday -- when several states will hold primaries and offer up a third of the needed share to claim victory.

All things considered ... this ain't the greatest of looks right before something like that.

Kobe Bryant Crash Site Pics Sheriff's Dept. Attempted Cover-Up Come Clean & You're Safe

Published | Updated

Deputies who responded to Kobe Bryant's helicopter crash site and took pictures of the remains were given a secret way out without repercussion ... TMZ has confirmed.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... in the days after the crash, top brass at the department was aware some of their lower-level deputies had snapped shots of the scene as well as of the remains found, and were showing them to people in and out of the department.

We're told a message was relayed to the Lost Hills substations and possibly others as well ... if you got Kobe pics -- come in, come clean and delete them. Do that, and you won't be punished. That's essentially the directive we're told was handed down by commanding officers.

What's even more concerning is the fact our sources say this attempt to get rid of the damning evidence was all being done on the hush-hush, and it was only when the L.A. Times came around asking about this scandal that the department launched a formal inquiry.

We've learned the Sheriff's Dept. learned that some deputies took pics of remains days after the crash ... this after a sheriff's trainee went to a bar and thought he could impress and pick up a woman by showing her the photos. Sources say a bartender overheard this and was so irate, he contacted the Sheriff's and lodged a formal complaint.

It's clear ... the Sheriff's Dept. kept everything under wraps until it became obvious its cover was about to be blown.

On Friday, the department issued a statement saying, in part, that top dog Alex Villanueva was "deeply disturbed at the thought deputies could allegedly engage in such an insensitive act." They go on to say, "A thorough investigation will be conducted by the department, with the No. 1 priority of protecting the dignity and privacy of the victims and their families."

The one thing the Sheriff has not explained ... why was this so secretive and why was punishment circumvented until the department realized the secret could no longer be kept?

Waka Flocka Flame I Was Wack in My Heyday, Man ... But At Least I Was Real!!!

Published | Updated

Waka Flocka is bringing self-awareness and self-deprecating humor to a whole new level -- saying he was a wack rapper at the peak of his career ... but honest nonetheless.

The hip-hop star was chopping it up with the team at Everyday Struggle, where he made the startling declaration ... that he was wack, he knows he was wack and probably should've stopped rapping way earlier than he actually did. His words, folks ... not ours.

Check out his explanation for yourself ... WFF says he made a massive amount of money around 2012 -- $30 million, apparently -- and says he'd achieved what he'd set out to do in the rap game ... which is to get rich. He insists he didn't need to keep going.

It's funny ... the Everyday crew tries to convince him otherwise -- that he's not wack and actually contributed a lot to the game -- but he remains firm, explaining his hip-hop idols are hardcore lyricists like Nas, KRS-One and others. He says he's simply not near them.

His one saving grace, according to him, was his ability to keep it real. Waka says people probably respected that more than his rapping ability.

Waka might be a little too hard on himself here -- fact is ... the dude put out tons of songs that landed on the Billboard charts, and while they weren't the most lyrically complex ... they were fun as hell for what they were -- and enjoyed by many.

In fact,  we're gonna 'No Hands' ride ourselves out of here on that note. #WakaNotWack

Billie Jean King Sharapova's Legacy Isn't Tainted ... She Owned Up to It

Published | Updated
Billie Jean King
SHE'S GOT MY LOVE

Billie Jean King says Maria Sharapova's tennis legacy isn't going to be harmed one iota by her doping scandal -- and it's all because of one simple thing she did ... tell the truth.

We got the tennis legend Saturday in NYC and asked for her thoughts on Maria announcing last week that she was stepping away from the sport, which she dominated for several years. According to BJK, MS is going down as an all-time great ... despite the ding for doping.

Check it out ... Billie says the fact Maria came out right away and addressed the situation head on back in 2016 took a lot of guts, and it's clear she owned up to it sincerely.

You'll recall ... Maria tested positive in 2016 for meldonium, which had very recently been added to the World Anti-Doping Agency's banned substance list. She said she'd been taking it for years due to a medical condition, and didn't know it'd been deemed a doping agent.

After being suspended from playing for at least a year, she returned to tennis in the following years and found varying degrees of success before hanging it up. Her streak prior to that, however, is what Billie Jean seems certain Maria will forever be remembered for.

She also talks about what may lie ahead for Maria post-tennis, and wishes her all the best.

It's interesting ... Maria has already appeared on 'Shark Tank' as a guest panelist, and she did pretty well in that capacity. Something tells us she'll be just fine going forward.

Bernie Sanders Boards the Wrong Private Jet ... Case of Campaign Brain

Published

Bernie Sanders is on the go all the time -- which seems to have given him a momentary case of a campaign brain fart as he accidentally boarded the wrong jet.

The Democratic front-runner was spotted Saturday making his way off of a private Gulfstream between campaign stops in South Carolina and Massachusetts -- the latter being where he held a rally at Boston Common ahead of Super Tuesday.

Fact is ... the S.C. primary looks like it's gonna go to Joe Biden, as he's well ahead of everyone else in the latest polls. Looks like Bernie's cutting his losses and moving on.

As for this little mix-up here, it's kinda funny. Bernie's been flying all over the country for different campaign events -- so the guy's definitely busy and has a preoccupied mind at the moment. Mistakes like this (getting on the wrong Gulfstream) are bound to happen.

Some have criticized Sanders for flying private at all -- seeing how he rails against billionaires and elites. In fact, earlier this month ... he was spotted boarding a private aircraft while Liz Warren got on her own jet as they both flew back to D.C. from different locations just 36 minutes apart. The implication ... they coulda flown together, spared the air, etc.

Down in South Carolina, someone alleged he had as many as three Gulfstreams to himself to get somewhere just a couple hours away. Unclear if that's true, but here's something to keep in mind.

Most of, if not all, the candidates fly private at some point -- so if you critique one ya gotta do 'em all. And while BS spent the most for private air travel in the last quarter of 2019, he's also bought carbon offsets to balance things out -- as have others. Pick your poison 🤷🏽‍♂️

Oprah Falls Onstage Talking Balance ... I'm Losing My Shoes!!!

Published | Updated

Oprah took a tumble during a speaking tour stop ... and then ditched the two things that appeared to be the cause.

The TV juggernaut was at the Forum arena Saturday in L.A. as part of her 2020 Vision speaking tour, and the topic of discussion on the monitor behind her was "Wellness: All things in balance." Welp, it looks like balance worked against her, 'cause she lost hers.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

She was talking about her definition of wellness, which included balance. She says, "Wellness to me means all things in balance. And balance doesn't mean all things are equal or at peace at all times." Oprah then went down hard, but seemed okay. She said, "Wrong shoes!"

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Video of the immediate aftermath was also posted on social media, and yeah ... it looks like the shoes she was wearing (heels, maybe) were responsible for the collapse. Again, not to worry, everyone -- O was, in fact, okay in the end, and it appears she even swapped those pesky trippers for some more reliable ones eventually.

Not before going barefoot for a bit though! Some users got pics of Oprah walking around the stage on her own two feet for a bit, with one person even saying she danced to "Old Town Road" at one point.

Hey, sometimes in life ya gotta go back to the basics to get stuff done. Oprah seems to have no problem doing that on the drop of a dime ... or a body. Protect the O!!!

Tom Steyer Backs That Azz Up with Juvenile ... At South Carolina Rally

Published | Updated

Tom Steyer tried one last Hail Mary to gain traction in the South Carolina Primary -- bringing up Juvenile at a campaign rally ... and shaking what his momma gave him.

The billionaire Democratic candidate held one final event Friday night in Columbia before voters went to the booth the next day, and it seems he was trying to appeal to a younger (or older perhaps) demographic ... 'cause he invited Juvenile and DJ Jazzy Jeff onstage.

What happened next is quite a sight ... in a good way, of course. Tom and some of the other staffers attempted to get down to "Back That Azz Up," Juvenile's smash hit. It was ... interesting, to say the least. Yeah, let's call it that -- a good old college try in other words.

We'll give Tommy and co. this much ... they definitely go all-in on the poor dancing, cringe and all. And hey, ya can't really blame the guy -- this is kinda his last realistic chance at staying in this thing. Especially in light of him getting thrashed earlier last week by his key opponent in the race ... ex-Vice President Joe Biden, who's banking on a big win.

ICYMI ... Joe shut Steyer down during Tuesday's latest Democratic debate in the Lowcountry -- basically telling him to pipe down when TS tried chirping up and interrupting the Veep.

If Tom doesn't walk away with a win this weekend in a state he's spent countless time and money hoping to take ... a lot of people think he needs to back his azz up outta this race.

Adam Levine I'm Sorry, Chile ... I Let You Down

Published | Updated

Adam Levine's owning his lackluster performance at a huge festival in Chile, saying he acted unprofessionally and struggled on stage ... and apologized to everyone in the crowd.

The Maroon 5 frontman and the band were widely criticized for their set during the country's Viña del Mar Festival Thursday, which was broadcast live on TV. Adam was singled out ... ripped for looking disinterested and cold, and was caught on video afterward complaining ... "That was a TV show ... that was not a concert."

Levine's now offering up an explanation, saying he was held back "sonically" -- his sound just wasn't right -- and it got in his head. He says the crappy performance wasn't a dig at the group's Chilean fans ... adding he loves performing in South America.

Unclear if the apology will be enough for the folks in Chile -- they were pretty pissed, -- but Adam promises it won't happen again.

Maroon 5 has a gig in Santiago and Adam promises it will be the best of the tour ... saying the band is ready to kick some major ass!

Bhad Bhabie Skai Jackson Gets Restraining Order Bhabie Claps Back, 'Imma Get Checks'

Published | Updated
UPDATE

3:55 PM PT -- Danielle has just responded to the restraining order and basically brushed off the whole thing ... posting a picture of her gold and platinum records and saying, "Go get your restraining order, Imma go get checks." She's serious about getting money ... cause she turned her clapback into an ad.

UPDATE

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

UPDATE

2:45 PM PT -- The restraining order was just granted by the judge. It orders BB stay 100 yards away from Skai, her home and workplace ... she also can't contact Skai in any form.

UPDATE

In the docs, Skai says she's fearful to leave her house by herself, hasn't slept well since the threats were made and feels Danielle is mentally unstable. Skai also claims Danielle texted her 4 months ago saying she wanted to fight her ... she included some of the alleged messages from Danielle in her filing.

Skai Jackson seems to be taking Bhad Bhabie's death threat seriously ... because she just filed for a restraining order against the rapper.

Bhad Bhabie went on IG this week to call out 17-year-old actress Skai Jackson, whom she's recently started beefing with. The latest salvo ... an apparent death threat, with BB -- AKA Danielle Bregoli -- saying, "Bitch, I'll kill you! I'll really kill you!"

Bhad Bhabie went on IG this week to call out 17-year-old actress Skai Jackson, whom she's recently started beefing with. The latest salvo ... an apparent death threat, with BB -- AKA Danielle Bregoli -- saying, Feb. 2020
"I'LL KILL YOU!"

The reason ... BB's mad Skai allegedly made a fake account to talk s**t about Danielle recently being seen hanging out with rapper NBA YoungBoy -- a guy Bhabie seems to think Skai's pretty into herself. As Bhad Bhabie claims in her own words, Skai's moving "sneaky" online.

According to legal docs -- obtained by TMZ -- Skai filed in L.A. on Thursday. Earlier this week on Twitter she seemingly responded to all the drama with a long list of her own accomplishments.

By the end of the post, she writes ... "No time 4 negatives!"

It's unclear if the judge has approved the order.

We reached out to Bregoli's reps who had no comment on the situation with Skai, but say Danielle's focus is on her album.

NFL's Mark Walton Arrested Again ... 5th Time In Past 2 Years

Published | Updated

More trouble for NFL player Mark Walton ... the running back was arrested AGAIN Thursday after cops say he was involved in a dispute with the mother of his child.

Police in Opa-Locka, Fla., tell CBS Miami ... they responded to a domestic dispute call around 3:30 AM and found 22-year-old Walton arguing with a woman.

After cops say they found the woman had a protection order against Walton ... they arrested the former Miami Dolphins player -- booking him at Miami-Dade County jail.

You can see in his mug shot, obtained by TMZ Sports, the dude was NOT pleased to be back behind bars.

Of course, this is the FIFTH TIME within the last two years Mark has been arrested ... with his most recent incident going down back in November when he was accused of roughing up his pregnant GF in Davie, Florida.

Walton was cut by the Miami Dolphins immediately after that arrest ... and has yet to catch on with an NFL team.

In another one of Mark's previous arrests ... he was tased while running away from officers -- and video of that incident is WILD.

Mark was drafted in the fourth round in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. He's logged just 235 rushing yards in the league since.

Maitland Ward on Spielberg Your Daughter in Porn ... Don't Worry, She'll Be Protected!!!

Published | Updated

Steven Spielberg is reportedly worried about his daughter jumping into the adult entertainment scene -- but he's got nothing to sweat about ... so says Maitland Ward.

We spoke to the former "Boy Meets World" star-turned-porn star Wednesday in L.A. and asked her to weigh in on the famed director's adopted child, Mikaela Spielberg, announcing she's now a porn star ... and dad apparently not being thrilled about it behind closed doors.

At first, Mikaela said her parents seemed pretty supportive about her career choice ... which Maitland says is awesome and how more parents should look at it if their kid goes down that road. But, when we point out Steve is said to have been privately "concerned" and "embarrassed" over the whole thing ... Maitland says she gets that side of it too.

Fact is ... it might be surprising for parents to hear, but with more talking -- the more Maitland feels people will come around to the porn scene being part of the entertainment biz. And, as far as Mikaela goes, MW thinks her name alone will keep her safe and sound.

Mikaela, who's 23 years old BTW, isn't doing hardcore stuff yet -- just solo on-camera performances. If she makes that next step to include more people, that's where Steve might need to fret a bit, according to Maitland. Even then though ... she says she'll be fine.

Oh, and check out what sorta porno spoof Maitland says she wouldn't mind doing with Spielberg's little girl. There are tons of options, but she settles for a classic.

Jermaine Dupri Usher's New 'Confessions' About Abortion ... Relax, It's Not Herpes!!!

Published

Some people think Usher's new "Confessions" track has a line about him copping to herpes -- but his pal Jermaine Dupri says they need to listen closely ... cause they got it all wrong.

Jermaine cleared the air Wednesday about speculation surrounding "Confessions Part III," which Usher teased during a live gig this week. One particular line in the song has been widely interpreted to be a confirmation about the STD ... which has been the subject of multiple lawsuits against the singer.

On the new track, Usher sings, "You said bae let me take you to the ER, I said, ‘Nah, Imma be alright / Well the next day I found out from f*cking around that the sickness I had was life."

Don't let that sickness lyric fool you, according to JD -- who has teamed up with the singer again to produce a new sequel album to his 2004 smash hit project. Jermaine says, "I see y’all trippin... CONFESSIONS PART 3 is from a females perspective."

JD adds, "The song is about a girl cheatin’ on him and gettin’ pregnant by another man. She is then being stuck with the decision to keep or abort it. Now that he knows, Should he stay or Leave ???"

Get it? "The sickness I had was life" refers to a baby ... not to being sick FOR life.

In any case, the good news out of all this is ... more 'Confessions,' baby.

Fact is, that record was Usher's biggest commercial hit, which has been certified Diamond for selling 10 million copies. It was one of the most successful albums of the 2000s -- which is why he and JD are going back to that well.
