HARD TO WATCH

Matthew Perry was brought to tears looking back at how his addiction to pills and alcohol caused his weight to fluctuate ... and he feels sorry for his former self.

The "Friends" star got super emotional in his ABC special with Diane Sawyer, crying when they played a clip of him on the sitcom looking super skinny.

Matthew estimates he was 155 lbs. in the clip and he says it illustrates the toll his addiction to pills took on his body ... he says the drugs squashed his appetite and he lost a ton of weight to the point where it was unhealthy.

MP told Diane his weight dipped as low as 128 lbs and says, at the time, he was "out of control" and didn't know what was going on.

Matthew says he also gained weight when he was drinking heavily ... and looking back he feels sorry for himself in those moments. ABC plays clips of Matthew on "Friends" and it's clear how much his weight was changing from season to season while he was in the throes of addiction.

Alan Ruck 'Succession' Is My Finest Work ... Step Aside, Bueller!!!

Published | Updated

Actor Alan Ruck has a loooong list of credits to his name over decades of work ... but he knows EXACTLY which one of his roles tops the rest -- at least in his eyes.

We got Alan at LAX Thursday ... and hit him with a somewhat morbid question -- regarding his hypothetical death in the future, and what project he'd be most proud of leaving behind.

Check out the clip -- it's a tough Q for Alan, but he finds his answer in HBO's "Succession" ... calling it the best thing he's ever done. It's a crushing blow to die-hard 'Ferris Bueller' fans, but you heard the man!

Fans of the show know Alan plays Connor Roy in the hit series ... one of Logan's sons who's less into the politics of his dad's company and more into the ranch life.

FYI -- HBO dropped its teaser for season 4 earlier this week ... and fans are hangin' on the edge of their seats, waiting to find out what's coming.

Alan also tells us his thoughts about Elon Musk buying Twitter -- a deal that was finalized Thursday ... and the actor's got some strong opinions about the Tesla owner's future with the social media company.

'The Crown' Filming Princess Diana's Crash Scene ... Shooting in the Paris Tunnel

Published | Updated
UPDATE

2:16 PM PT -- Netflix sources tell TMZ they won't be recreating the crash itself.

Netflix's "The Crown" is currently filming its latest season, and it looks like Princess Diana's fatal car crash will be front and center ... because the show's recreating that tragic moment.

Production was underway Thursday in Paris, and rather eerily, they're shooting right around the Pont de l'Alma tunnel ... the fateful location where Diana's driver crashed in 1997 while being tailed by paparazzi.

RECREATING THE TRAGEDY

It looks like the production is retracing the actual route and the scene as it really happened -- they have photographers on motorcycles surrounding the Mercedes-Benz sedan.

As you know, the 36-year-old's death shocked the world ... her boyfriend, Dodi Fayed, and their driver were also killed in the devastating crash.

FYI -- fans of the show know Diana, currently played by Elizabeth Debicki, was first featured in the show's 4th season, and there was a TON of fan excitement surrounding her introduction to the royal plot.

It's unclear if Diana's death will become the main focus of the upcoming season, but it looks like producers and the director are aiming to recreate the event as accurately as possible.

Leslie Jordan Driving to Set of 'Call Me Kat' When He Died

Published | Updated

Leslie Jordan was about to do what he loved, acting and making people laugh, in his final moments -- he was on his way to set when he died behind the wheel ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the late actor tell us Leslie was scheduled to film for "Call Me Kat" Monday morning, but people working on the show became concerned when Leslie hadn't arrived more than an hour after his call time.

From there, our sources say there was a scramble to find Leslie -- and the cast and crew eventually discovered he'd been involved in a car accident.

TMZ broke the story ... Leslie was driving his BMW in Hollywood when investigators believe he suffered some sort of medical emergency, and crashed into the side of a building.

Sources close to the actor tell us he'd been complaining of shortness of breath the last 3 weeks, and was so concerned about the issue he'd actually had an appointment scheduled with a cardiologist.

Sadly, that was supposed to happen sometime in the coming week.

While it's unclear if that appointment would have discovered any underlying health issues for Leslie, investigators' current operating theory is he suffered a heart attack while driving.

Leslie's "Call Me Kat" costar Mayim Bialik posted a sweet tribute to the actor, writing, "They broke the mold when they made Leslie Jordan. He was a dear mentor and a beloved friend. I will miss him so much - it’s unimaginable that he’s gone. Rest well, sweet buddy."

Production for the show has been paused in the wake of Leslie's death.

Leslie Jordan Complained of Shortness of Breath ... Scheduled Cardiologist Appt

Published | Updated

Leslie Jordan was coping with discomfort in the weeks leading up to his death -- a health issue that was concerning enough for him to make an appointment with a cardiologist ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the late actor tell TMZ ... for the last 3 weeks, he was experiencing shortness of breath. We're told Leslie was scheduled to see a cardiologist within the next week to check out his heart, and see if there were any underlying health issues.

Other than that, we're told Leslie was generally healthy ... but did have COVID last year.

We've spoken to law enforcement sources who tell us they believe Leslie suffered a heart attack prior to crashing his BMW Monday into a building in Hollywood.

Tributes have poured in for the 67-year-old since TMZ broke the news of his death, including from Dolly Parton who said, "Leslie and I had a special bond, I think the world felt they had a special bond with him. I know people always say, 'Oh, they will be missed' but in this case that could not be more true."

The medical examiner is investigating, and Leslie's official cause of death has not been released yet.

James Corden Sorry Again for Acting Like a Jerk at Restaurant ... I Wanna Make It Right

Published | Updated

James Corden took his father's advice and formally apologized on-air for his obnoxious behavior at an NYC restaurant, putting the issue to rest ... hopefully!!

The TV host kicked off his 'Late Late Show' Monday by pointing out that his dad -- who was in the audience -- instructed him to own up to his mistakes after he retracted an earlier apology to Balthazar owner Keith McNally.

And, like a dutiful son, that's exactly what Corden did. "Whenever these sorts of moments come my way, I like to adopt quite a British attitude. Never complain, never explain. But, as my dad pointed out to me on Saturday, he said, 'Son, you did complain. So you might need to explain.' Look, when you make a mistake, you have to take responsibility."

Corden then went into apology mode, recounting what happened at the French brasserie in 1 of the 2 incidents where he was described as a "Cretin." He said he was having a meal at Balthazar in SoHo a few weeks ago ... and a server three times came to the table with the wrong order for his wife, who has food allergies.

The comic said he made a "rude comment" to the waiter "in the heat of the moment," which he finally acknowledged was WRONG. "I didn't shout or scream. I didn't get up out of my seat. I didn't call anyone names or use derogatory language. I have been walking around thinking that I hadn't done anything wrong, right? But, the truth is I have. I made a rude comment and it was wrong. It was an unnecessary comment. It was ungracious to the server."

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Corden also briefly mentioned the other incident in which he lost his cool after finding a hair in his food. He said he called McNally right away and apologized profusely after the restaurant owner posted to IG that Corden was banned for his bad behavior.

As we reported ... McNally later rescinded the ban, but then Corden retracted his apology during an interview with the New York Times. In response, McNally told TMZ that Corden should "apologize to the young servers he abused," declining to say if the ban would be reintroduced.

That option now seems to be off the table.

Erika Jayne Accuses Kathy of Using Gay Slur in Aspen ... Kathy, Others Deny It

Published | Updated

Erika Jayne is making a big accusation against Kathy Hilton in the 'RHOBH' reunion finale ... claiming she heard Kathy utter a homophobic slur, but Kathy flat out denies it happened.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... during the reunion finale Erika accuses Kathy of making a homophobic comment back when the cast went to Aspen. We're told Erika claims Kathy used the slur against someone the cast was around earlier this season, but production cameras were NOT rolling when the alleged incident happened.

Our sources say production investigated Erika's claim following the Aspen trip, but found it's basically a case of she said, she said -- Erika's word against Kathy's.

That being said, we're told Erika's allegation was not edited out of the reunion finale -- which airs Wednesday -- and in the episode, Kathy is adamant she never used the epithet and says Erika's a liar.

Kathy has others backing her up ... our sources say after Kathy's strong denial, several other 'RHOBH' stars spoke up in her defense. Interestingly, we're told Kathy's sister, Kyle Richards, is sitting quietly next to Kathy during the back and forth with Erika ... more evidence of their fractured relationship.

TMZ broke the story ... the sisters are barely on speaking terms after filming the reunion shows, and Kathy insists she won't return next season if Erika and Lisa Rinna do.

'Entourage' Creator Doug Ellin Hell Yes, Let's Boycott Adidas ... Silence On Kanye Is All About Money!!!

Published | Updated
UPDATE

7:29 AM PT -- Adidas has officially cut ties with Kanye, making the announcement Tuesday morning ... looks like the boycott will be avoided.

"Entourage" creator Doug Ellin says Adidas staying silent about Kanye West has everything to do with money, and therefore, he sees a boycott as the best way to apply pressure.

We got Doug Monday in WeHo, where he told us the German shoe company's silence -- as other brands cut ties with Kanye -- speaks volumes about whose side it's backing. He adds we should all be on the same page when hate's in play.

He sees money as the sole reason Adidas has kept quiet -- so, if people stop buying their gear ... the hope is that will make the honchos understand the harmful impact of Ye's antisemitic remarks.

Jews trying to mute me!!!

As we reported, Kanye's been losing brand deals left and right ... including Johnny Depp's attorney, Camille Vasquez, who was brought on board last week to handle his business matters. After he doubled and tripled down on his bigotry, she told her firm she'd no longer work with the rapper.

What's more, a rally in L.A. Saturday supported the rapper's comments, with members of the group throwing up Nazi salutes at passing drivers.

Doug is sick of the dangerous tropes about Jewish people having all the power, and he's urging everyone to understand the severity of Kanye's words.

Kanye West 'Jeen-Yuhs' Doc Staying On Netflix

Kanye West is not being scrubbed from Netflix in the wake of his antisemitic rants ... the streaming giant says the biopic on his life is staying put.

While tons of companies are distancing themselves from Ye, including Balenciaga and talent agency CAA, a rep for Netflix tells us there are no plans to take down its 'Jeen-Yuhs' documentary trilogy on Kanye's life.

Netflix's position is they are not in business with Kanye because he was the subject of the doc, and he wasn't involved in creating or promoting the movies.

The streaming service also says there is nothing antisemitic in the documentary ... and Netflix points out they don't remove content about or by people who later spark controversy.

Sen. Ted Cruz Heckled on 'The View' ... 'F*** You!!!"

Ted Cruz On The View

UPDATE

3:23 PM PT -- Video has surfaced from inside the studio showing the protestor being escorted out of the show by security.

UPDATE

Waiting for your permission to load TikTok Post.

Sen. Ted Cruz is catching heat everywhere he goes in NYC -- after getting an earful from Yankees fans, he got ripped again while appearing on network television ... and censors had to react quickly.

The Texas legislator made an appearance Monday on "The View," where he was talking shop with Whoopi Goldberg and her co-hosts -- a convo that was interrupted by a woman in the audience who yelled, "F*** you!" Folks at home didn't hear it though, 'cause they killed the audio.

That initial comment forced 'View' producers to go to a commercial break, but the protests didn't stop -- at another point, a separate group of audience members started yelling too.

This time, it was all about climate change ... and as they continued to chant while Cruz talked about the economy, Whoopi herself finally chimed in and told them to shut it -- asking for them to let them -- the hosts -- do their job (AKA, grill TC).

Remember, Senator Cruz was also met with shouts and insults on Sunday night at the Yankee game, and not only because he was rooting for the Astros.

Looks like he was in the mood for seconds less than 24 hours later.

Zak Bagans I Captured a Ghost Chair ... On Camera in the Murder House!!!

SPOOKY SEAT

The folks at "Ghost Adventures" are kicking things up a notch for spooky season -- we've got an exclusive clip of the moment a "ghost chair" seemingly appears and then disappears.

The apparent finding comes in a two-part episode about the abandoned and infamous Los Feliz Murder House, where Dr. Harold Perelson murdered his wife in 1959 with a ball-peen hammer and severely beat his daughter before killing himself.

The equipment the 'GA' crew used in the creepy mansion makes it all the more fascinating.

Zak Bagans tells TMZ the ghost chair was captured during a moment where chairs were the focus of an experiment -- "Everybody had a chair that was set on different floors of the house, and we connected everybody’s energy together using these chairs in a summoning experiment."

His take on what you're seeing here is, "It’s as if Dr. Perelson, who we called upon, literally pulled up a chair himself to join our experiment."

They used a method called LiDAR which uses a laser to scan objects or surfaces, by measuring the time it takes for the reflected light to bounce back ... basically, 3-D laser scanning.

The chair seemed to appear and then disappear on the laser scan, despite there being no seat in the actual scanned room.

The hunters stress the fact that the equipment is down to the "millimeter in accuracy" of scanning actual objects ... which makes said ghost chair like nothing they've ever seen before.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Zak says "This is one of the most astounding pieces of scientific evidence we have ever captured in the history of 'Ghost Adventures,' made even stronger due to the fact that it was captured by an accredited third-party LiDAR scanning company."

If you want to get to the bottom of this haunted mystery, you can catch the full episode of the investigation Oct 27 on Discovery+.

'House Of The Dragon' Season Finale Leaks Early Online!!! ... HBO Calls Out Distribution Partner

Published | Updated

The season finale for HBO's "House of the Dragon" has leaked online ahead of Sunday's airing ... and the streaming giant is pointing fingers at its distribution partner as the reason.

The final episode for the "Game of Thrones" prequel popped up illegally on torrent sites Friday, giving patiently-waiting fans a chance to see how the climactic season ends before the official air date.

HBO thinks it pin-pointed the problem, though -- in addition to yanking the episode from the web, a spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter, "It appears to have originated from a distribution partner in the EMEA region,” which is located in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The company adds, “HBO is aggressively monitoring and pulling these copies from the internet" ... noting how disappointing it is for the show to leak early.

HBO also points out a major downside to watching the finale early ... urging people to wait to watch it on Sunday on HBO Max, "where it will stream exclusively in 4K.”
