Tom Cruise wasn't born on the Fourth of July, but came close -- and on his special day, a filmmaking partner is honoring him by basically saying ... never change, you nutty bastard.

The actor turned 60 Sunday, and to ring in the milestone ... director Christopher McQuarrie posted a wild photo to celebrate TC and the death-defying stunts that he still carries out himself to this day ... including on the forthcoming 'Mission: Impossible' movie(s).

As you can see, there's Tommy dangling from the wing of an old-timey biplane ... without anyone in the cockpit, it seems. Just Tom hanging on solo, without much assistance.

McQuarrie didn't add much context to this pic -- other than wishing Tom a happy 60th -- but it's pretty obvious this is from either "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One" or 'Part Two' ... both of which CMQ is helming with Tom in the driver's seat.

One description of this stunt -- which was reported on last year, as eyewitnesses saw Tom practicing in the U.K. -- explains he'll apparently slip out of the cockpit, make his way to the wing of the plane, hang there as the plane nosedives, and then do a barrel roll to boot.

Unclear if this will be featured in 'M:I 7' '8' ... but in any case, Chris seems to have thought its worthy to throw up as an homage to Tom -- who continues to live like a daredevil.

In fact, this plane thing is just a taste of what he'll do in the new flick -- as we learned from the teaser trailer last month, Tom is also going to jump off a cliff while on a motorcycle ... only to be saved by a parachute. Indeed, his reputation only gets cemented with each flick.

Lots of reasons to be happy if you're Tom Cruise today -- not only is it his born day, but his latest blockbuster, "Top Gun: Maverick," hit a huge benchmark that he's never achieved ... the film has grossed over a billion dollars worldwide at the box office. And, it's still rolling.

As for what the guy's up to today, he was actually spotted at the British Grand Prix ... where he did a stop-and-chat with Sky Sports' Martin Brundle and cheered on Lewis Hamilton.

Even on his bday, he's got time for an impromptu interview and is pleasant about it. Just one more reason we love Tom ... one of the last true iconic movie stars of this generation.

Johnny Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez is gonna spend her birthday in style ... her time overseas with her beau is going to include spending some time with her famous client.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Camille's boyfriend has got a fun-filled trip planned for her 38th trip around the sun -- as we reported, she flew to London last week, where BF Ed Owen lives and is getting ready to party!

They're planning on heading to Wimbledon, which is super cool. They're also gonna see Elton John and The Rolling Stones at separate concerts. And ... they'll travel to Prague to see JD, where he's set to rock out with Jeff Beck.

The big question ... will Johnny call her out or even invite her on stage ... it would drive the crowd wild!

As we reported, Camille's been fielding offers from law firms ever since scoring a verdict in favor of Depp ... we're told she's speaking with agents and network execs about a bunch of projects ... like broadcasting roles, speaking engagements and even starting her own production company.

A man who has already been arrested for stalking Ariana Grande has been arrested again ... this time after breaking into her Montecito home on her 29th birthday.

Aharon Brown has a history of dogging Ariana. He was arrested last September at her L.A. home after showing up with a large hunting knife, allegedly screaming at her security, "I'll f***ing kill you and her!" He was arrested for making criminal threats and a judge issued a restraining order prohibiting him from coming near Ariana.

That did not stop him. He violated the restraining order recently by trying to find Ariana and apparently got close. He was supposed to turn himself in Tuesday for violating the restraining order, but Sunday he traveled to Montecito and broke into her house.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... on Sunday, Brown somehow got into Ariana's Montecito home. She was NOT home at the time, but the security alarm went off and cops showed up and arrested Brown.

Seems only fitting the star of Khloé Kardashian's 38th birthday party is the woman who brought her into the world -- an event Kris Jenner brought up in a hilarious and boozy fashion.

Khloé popped up Monday in a sexy pink latex dress to celebrate her birthday with a lunch at her mom's $20 million mansion in Hidden Hills, and the drinks were flowing! Well, definitely for Kris who made a half-hearted attempt to reenact Khloé's birth -- something Khlo was NOT down to do.

Thank God Kim Kardashian was recording the whole thing, because, after that scene, Mom admitted during a toast ... "I know I'm a little wasted. But, what I want to say is how much I am so f***ing in love with you, Khloé Kardashian!"

Yeah, it was that kinda speech, but super sweet ... as Kris basically called her third-born the glue that holds the Kardashian-Jenner clan together.

Usher inserted a major key into his mentor-mogul L.A. Reid's 66th birthday party ... in the form of a brand-spankin' new Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet!

Worth noting ... William's bro, Prince Harry, hasn't posted any birthday wishes yet. It's still early on the West Coast, but it'll be interesting to see if he does mention the milestone amid their rift.

Apparently, Prince William and Kate Middleton will reportedly celebrate "in style" with a joint 40th Bday party at Windsor Castle.

Her birthday was back in January but the celebrations were reportedly nixed due to COVID-19.

Interestingly, the Duke's birthday will not be marked this year by the flying of the Union Jack over government buildings. That honor is now reserved for the Queen and Prince Charles' birthdays.

Tyler Herro wished the mother of his child, Katya Elise Henry, a happy 28th birthday with a sweet message ... calling her "the most beautiful girl in the world" amid rumors of a nasty breakup.

The Miami Heat star penned the letter on Tuesday by sharing photos of himself, the fitness model, and their 9-month-old daughter, Zya, on Instagram.

"Happy Birthday to the most beautiful girl in the world," Herro said in the caption.

"Words can’t describe how much I appreciate you. Aint no tellin where we’d be at without you."

Herro -- who started dating Henry after sliding in her DMs in 2020 -- says she's been holdin' it down since they've met and he looks forward to their future.

"You’ve been my rock holding it down for 2 years, I can’t wait to see what life has in store for us. Enjoy. Smile. More life to 28 biggggg babbyyyy."

This is a good sign that the couple is in good spirits -- even after many thought Henry broke up with Herro after posting quotes about cheating on her IG story.

She also removed all of Herro's photos from her page and unfollowed him on social media.

But, we just checked -- she's following him again.

Tensions were seriously high between Kylie Jenner and Tristan Thompson after his latest cheating scandal, but the two found themselves under the same roof at a party with friends where they were almost certainly forced to mingle.

Kylie and TT were in Hollywood Thursday to celebrate model and Kylie's BFF Stassie Karanikolaou's birthday. There were a bunch of their other celeb friends there too -- like Kendall Jenner, Devin Booker, G-Eazy and Addison Rae.

Tyga, who Kylie dated years ago was also in attendance.

However, Tristan showed up as well, he's close with Zack Bia -- who also had a bday -- and Kylie left not long after.

Unclear if she'd just had enough celebrating, or if there's still a bit of animosity there, "The Kardashians" episode detailing Tristan's cheating on Khloe Kardashian aired just hours before ... so it's possible things were still tense.

Cops came to break the whole thing up late into the night, but it doesn't appear there were any issues, and everyone cleared out pretty quickly after they showed up.

As we reported, Tristan became the rightful target of the wrath of Kim and co. on this week's episode ... which showed the moment Kim Kardashian found out he'd gotten another woman pregnant while he was still dating Khloe.

Kim read legal docs out loud in which TT admitted to having sex with a woman named Maralee Nichols, who claimed she was about to father Tristan's son. She then called Kylie to explain, to which she responds, "Is Tristan the worst person on the planet?"

Rae Sremmurd are back as a unified front and the brothers, Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi, are celebrating in a majorly blinging way.

Prince Harry and Meghan were amazed to learn people around the world made donations amounting to more than $100K to the World Central Kitchen in Lilibet's honor.

As we've reported, Lilibet met her great-grandma, Queen Elizabeth, for the first time ever during the Jubilee celebrations. Of course, the intro came amid high tensions between Prince Harry, Meghan and their estranged royal family.

Marylin Monroe has been dead for almost 60 years, but fans are still as desperate to own a piece of her history, a reality for people with deep pockets -- thanks to an upcoming auction.

Wednesday, June 1st, the day that would have marked Monroe's 96th birthday, Julien's and TCM announces to TMZ a Marilyn collection as part of their upcoming Hollywood Legends auction.

Fans will be able to get their hands on everything from Monroe's handwritten notes and famous photographs, to costumes worn during movie roles and moments from her career.

Among the items -- Marilyn's beige heels, gold-tone earrings with crystal beads, and her bedazzled gown with headpiece she wore during the 1954 musical "After You Get What You Want You Don't Want It." The outfit is expected to sell for $80K-100K.

There's also a pair of sequin leotard costumes Marilyn and Jane Russell wore in the 1953 movie "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" which are expected to fetch $100k.

As for the personal stuff, there's a handwritten note from 1955 about her acting classes that's estimated at $3K-$5K. There's also her personally owned AFTRA card with receipt of overdue payments and penalties.

The items will be available online and in-person, in Beverly Hills ... starting Friday, July 15, and they'll be up for auction the entire weekend.

A Tuskegee Airman got an amazing surprise at his 100th birthday party ... New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft showed up -- and gifted the man a custom jersey!

Sgt. Victor Butler -- who's believed to be Rhode Island's last surviving Tuskegee Airman -- had the celebration on Saturday in North Providence, and just minutes into it, Kraft made a surprise appearance.

The 80-year-old shook Butler's hand, offered a bunch of praise -- and then handed over a Patriots jersey that featured Butler's name and the No. 100.

"We wanted to give you something no one else could give you," Kraft said at the event. "And, maybe it wasn't always easy, but you did what was best for America."

"So, we thank you for that."

The 6-time Super Bowl champion owner also gave Victor a signed football and took pics with the legend as those in attendance cheered, applauded and sang, "Happy Birthday."

What made the event even cooler? The former Sgt. had originally only asked that people send him birthday cards for his big day.

In addition to Kraft's gifts, others also showed up bearing presents -- and there was even a parade thrown his Butler's honor.

Laura Dern was just a 20-something in 'Jurassic Park' -- opposite a then-40-something Sam Neill -- and the Internet can't believe it ... although we aren't sure if that's a good thing. 🤔

The actress dropped this bomb in a new interview with the Sunday Times, claiming she was just 23 when she starred in the original 'JP' back in 1993 ... and the age difference with her costar at the time was noted by the man himself, in a joking manner.

Neill, who did the interview with Dern apparently, is quoted as blurting out how much older he is/was than LD, saying ... "I am 20 years older than Laura! Which at the time was a completely appropriate age difference for a leading man and lady!"

Dern concurs, explaining, "Well, it felt completely appropriate to fall in love with Sam Neill. And, it was only now, when we returned in a moment of cultural awareness about the patriarchy, that I was, like, ‘Wow! We’re not the same age?'"

People latched on to this for a couple reasons ... one, Dern's quote is being interpreted by some as sarcastic and sort of a commentary on the idea that a woman of Sam's age (at the time) couldn't or wouldn't be cast -- apparently touching on double standards in the biz.

Of course, Laura herself didn't say this exactly ... and that argument doesn't hold water next to the source material (the book) and considering Drs. Grant and Sattler are described as being in their 40s and late 20s, respectively. Her character was always meant to be younger.

More importantly, the 23-year-old remark comes as news to many that Dern was that young in the film. As many have noted, she looks significantly older -- at least in her mid-30s.

Baby Future is not a baby anymore -- and Russell Wilson just sent his stepson a heartfelt message on his 8th birthday ... calling him the "greatest blessing in the world."

Russ was spreading love to the lil' man bright and early on Thursday -- posting a side-by-side pic of the two on social media ... expressing what Ciara's child with rapper Future means to him.

"Happy Bday Future!" Russ said on Twitter. "8yrs old! You are the greatest blessing in the world to me!"

He added ... "Mommy, Daddy, Sienna, & Win love you to Heaven & back!"

Of course, Russ' relationship with the rapper's son has sparked drama in the past -- Future previously called the Super Bowl champ out for being seen out in public with his son ... saying, "At the end of the day, I'm not for the publicity stunts. Leave my son out of the publicity stunts. Just leave him out of your relationship."

No word on Russ and Future's status now ... but as we previously reported, the Wilsons booked it after the "I Never Liked You" spitter popped up at a Super Bowl party earlier this year.

Russ also shared a pic of Future Zahir rocking a baseball jersey and holding a trophy ... so the kid is definitely following in his stepdad's footsteps.

While Wilson was a two-sport athlete -- he was drafted by the Rockies in 2010 -- he seems fully supportive of Future's future on the diamond, once calling him "The next Griffey Jr."
