Odell Beckham Sr. Shades Baker Mayfield Posts Montage of OBJ's Missed Opps

Published

Things are getting ugly in Cleveland -- Odell Beckham Sr. is all but fed up with how his son is being used in the Browns offense ... posting an 11-minute-long video exposing Baker Mayfield for all the times he's missed a wide-open OBJ.

Of course, Beckham Jr. had a career-low in Sunday's loss against the Steelers -- only logging in one catch for 6 yards.

The performance appears to be the straw that broke the camel's back for OBS ... 'cause he went to Instagram to call out Mayfield by sharing a video titled, "Odell Beckham is Always Open for the Cleveland Browns in 2021."

In the clip, you can see the 28-year-old receiver wide open numerous times ... and Mayfield either not looking his way, throwing a bad pass or missing him completely.

Beckham Sr. shared his thoughts on the whole situation with a number of hashtags ... some saying, "#imhurtinfr #playinghurt #ihurt4him #thisreallyhurts #veryhurtful #disrespectful #whenihurthehurtikno #iloveclevelandlikeilovehome #ilovemysonMO #7-eleven #open #24/7 #ALLLOVE❤️#BEckhamLEGENDARY"

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Fans voiced their opinions about this disconnect between OBJ and Mayfield on Beckham Sr.'s post -- including NBA superstar Damian Lillard, who said "this crazy."

Beckham Sr. even responded to a couple of comments ... including one fan who said, "So Eli (Manning) and Baker are the problem, not Odell? He is a talented individual but not bigger than the team."

Beckham Sr.'s reply, "Lol LIL BOY' 'the game ain't 2 be told it's 2 be SODL' DON'T PLAY WITH ME, GO PLAY WIT CHA XXXXy."

Sheesh.

But, let's be real -- OBJ and Mayfield haven't been able to put up any big numbers since his arrival in 2019. He only has 1,586 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns.

That's a major decline from OBJ's Giants days -- for example, he had 1,450 yards and 13 touchdowns with Eli Manning in his 2015 season alone.

With OBJ and Mayfield not clicking, there have been trade rumors floating around ... but the clock is ticking as Tuesday's trade deadline approaches ... and time may run out before a deal can get done.

Longhorns Coach's GF Monkey Allegedly Attacks Kid ... Woman Blames Kid

Published | Updated
UPDATE

10:48 AM PT -- A spokesperson for the Travis County Sheriff's Office tells TMZ Sports ... they have not received a call regarding the alleged incident, explaining there's no criminal element to it. The spokesperson described it all as a civil matter.

As if Texas' football season couldn't get any worse -- a monkey belonging to Longhorns special teams coach Jeff Banks' GF is being accused of attacking a young trick or treater on Halloween ... but the woman says it's all the kid's fault.

A report late Monday night claimed the white-faced capuchin "seriously hurt" a boy during Halloween festivities ... with the monkey's jaws having to be "pried" open to free the child.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Banks' GF, Danielle Thomas -- AKA "Pole Assassin," a professional pole dancer once featured on "Jerry Springer" -- admitted something happened, but quickly defended her monkey ... claiming she was hosting a haunted event at her place, and the kid went where he wasn't supposed to.

"I had a haunted house on one side gated off/ he had no permission to go pass the gate i had no idea he went in my back yard," Thomas posted on Twitter before scrapping her account.

Thomas also claims she had no idea her monkey bit anyone until a local doctor told her about a "small bite."

Thomas says the kids were told to turn around when they came to a set of balloons ... and an "11/12" year old should be old enough to follow the rules and not venture off in someone's yard without permission. She even posted a video detailing the kid's assumed walk to the monkey cage ... with a sign that reads "Do Not Enter, emotional support animal, no touching."

"How could she viciously bite someone if they don't stick their hand in there where they don't belong?" Thomas said in the video.

Quavo is hoping time away from the Falcons is what Calvin Ridley needs ... telling TMZ Sports he wants to see the Atlanta star receiver get better ASAP.

We got the rapper -- who's one of the biggest Falcons fans on the planet -- out in NYC on Monday ... and he made it clear he has no issues whatsoever with Ridley stepping away from his favorite team in order to focus on his mental health.

Quavo wished Ridley a speedy recovery ... telling our camera guy before heading into a secret show for NBA Top Shot, "I hope he get well."

Ridley missed the Falcons' game against the Jets earlier this season for a personal matter ... and after missing the team's loss to the Panthers for the same reason -- the 26-year-old explained he's been battling mental health issues the last few weeks and needs time away from the gridiron.

"I need to step away from football at this time and focus on my mental wellbeing," he said Sunday. "This will help me be the best version of myself now and in the future."

No timetable has been given for a potential return to the lineup ... but every one from his teammates to his former head coach, Dan Quinn, has supported his decision.

Ridley -- who was picked by the Falcons in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft -- has started 5 games for Atlanta this season ... scoring two touchdowns.

Amari Cooper Buys Diamond Dog Tags For Offense ... $120k Gift!!!

Published | Updated

Amari Cooper is making his case for best teammate ever -- the star wideout just bought diamond chains for Dak Prescott and members of the Dallas Cowboys receivers ... a gift worth $120k total!!

TMZ Sports has learned ... Amari wanted to show love to his teammates for balling out so far this season, so he hit up Gabriel The Jeweler to whip up some dog tags for his QB, fellow receivers and a couple trainers.

Gabriel -- who's done work for the biggest names in the NFL, like Odell Beckham, Davante Adams and Aaron Donald -- made 15 pieces total for Cooper ... with each displaying the players' numbers and the word "DAWGS" etched across the top.

Altogether, we're told the project is worth $120k!!!

Cooper has gotten some incredible pieces in the past -- from his "Route Runner" chain to his own mini Cowboys jersey -- and now these chains will fit right in!!

This request actually came in BEFORE the 'Boys were able to stun the Minnesota Vikings and run away with a 20-16 win on Sunday Night Football without Dak ... so the guys definitely deserve the gift.

Ravens LB Malik Harrison Shot In Cleveland Non-Life-Threatening Injury

Ravens linebacker Malik Harrison caught a stray bullet in the calf while at a gathering in Cleveland during the teams bye week, Baltimore announced on Monday, saying fortunately the injuries are not life-threatening.

Harrison, 23, was a third-round draft pick of the Ravens in 2020. Malik has played in all 7 of the Ravens games this seasons, racking up 44 combined tackles.

"On Sunday night while attending a gathering in Cleveland, Malik Harrison sustained a non-life-threatening injury after being struck by a stray bullet in the left calf," the Ravens said in a statement.

"Malik, who received medical care at a local hospital, has been in touch with our team doctors and will return to Baltimore today."

It's unclear what kind of event 6'3", 247 lb. Harrison attended ... or who was the intended target of the shooting.

Harrison -- who was First Team All-Big Ten at Ohio State in 2019 -- has played in 23 games throughout his 2-year professional career ... compiling 66 total tackles.

The first place Ravens are set to take on the Vikings in Baltimore this Sunday. It's unclear how much time Harrison will miss.

Myles Garrett Dresses Up As Grim Reaper Lists Sack Victims

Published

The sack reaper??

That’s what Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett called himself on Halloween … dressing up as the Grim Reaper -- in a costume that featured an impressive list of QB's he's sacked.

Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, and Ben Roethlisberger all made the cut ... and had their names painted on the back of the Grim Reaper's back.

The costume was pretty cool ... Garrett was draped from head to toe in black, and rocked an orange mask. He even had a scythe.

We know the Browns defensive lineman takes Halloween very seriously. Remember, Garrett placed headstones of quarterbacks he sacked on his lawn in front of his Cleveland home.

The guys above weren't the only NFL stars to make the Reaper's back ... Cam Newton, Deshaun Watson, Jimmy Garoppolo, Jameis Winston and rookie QB Justin Fields also made the list.

In his short NFL career, Garrett has 53 career sacks. At this pace, Myles might run out of room by next Halloween.

CRANKED UP CELEBRATION
UPDATE

9:43 AM PT -- The bad news has been confirmed -- Jameis Winston is out for the season with a torn ACL and damaged MCL, according to Ian Rapoport.

Jameis Winston could potentially be out for the season with an injury, but that didn't stop the QB from dancing his ass off with his crutches to celebrate a huge Saints win over Tom Brady and the Buccaneers!!

Jameis went down with a possible ACL and MCL injury in the second quarter of New Orleans' matchup with Tampa Bay on Sunday ... after getting hit by TB linebacker Devin White.

While an emotional Sean Payton said Winston's injury could be "significant" -- and reports claiming it could be season-ending -- ya wouldn't be able to tell by Jameis' spirits in the locker room after the game ... 'cause the dude was dancing up a storm!!

C.J. Gardner-Johnson's Instagram Live session caught the whole celebration after the 36-27 victory ... with all the players dancing as Nardo Wick's "Who Want Smoke??" blares in the background.

"YOU'RE A LITTLE CONCERNED"

The injury is a huge bummer for Winston and the Saints -- he had been playing well with 14 touchdowns, just 3 interceptions and a quarterback rating of 102.8 -- but the dude's focus was clearly on the team's effort after the game.

Trevor Siemian was able to come in and secure the win for NOLA ... and hey, if you can beat the defending champs, the season might not be lost.

Colin Kaepernick Compares Playing in NFL ... To Literal Slavery

Published | Updated

Colin Kaepernick's new Netflix documentary starts out with a bang -- making a literal comparison of playing for the NFL ... to being bought and sold in slavery.

The former quarterback-turned-activist begins the film -- titled 'Colin in Black and White' -- with an explainer of how guys get into the league ... noting the first step is trying out for a team, which begins with a combine. The camera follows him to a reenacted scene where players are going through practice and different drills on the field ... while officials look on.

He says potential players are "paraded out" in front of coaches, scouts and owners -- who measure their physical talents and on-field abilities. CK goes on to say coaches will tell players they want their guys to be warriors, killers, beasts and animals on the gridiron.

What Colin's getting at ... this is coded language, which he thinks lends to a larger power dynamic of slave master and slave -- and he makes a visual juxtaposition to hit it home.

The screen then jumps to a new scene ... in which the mostly Black players that were just running up and down the field are now standing on an auction block, shirtless and in shackles. You see white masters bartering over who to buy, and make an exchange.

Colin says teams "poke, prod and examine you" and search for any "defect" -- without any dignity or respect for said player. His point is that kids getting into this sports biz might not see it this way -- but he firmly insists, they're being groomed into a slave system.

It's a visceral and bold leap to make -- and there are A LOT of reactions ... some in favor, some against. Of course, Netflix was onboard with the messaging ... they're the ones airing it this weekend.

Univ. Of Tennessee Bans 16 Students For Heaving Trash ... At Ole Miss Game

Published

The Univ. of Tennessee has just barred 16 students -- and 9 other fans -- from attending games the rest of this season ... after the school says they were all involved in throwing trash at the Ole Miss game.

If you missed it ... UT football fans heaved things onto the field at Neyland Stadium on Oct. 16 after losing to Ole Miss -- infamously hitting head coach Lane Kiffin with objects, and making a massive mess.

Two days later, the SEC fined the university $250,000 for the chaos ... and this week, UT announced after an investigation, it found 16 UT students and 9 non-students had been involved in the trash throwing.

The school said, as a result, all of the above are banned from all university sporting events for the rest of this academic and athletic year.

School officials said more punishment could be on the way.

UT's Athletics Director Danny White says the university is also taking extra measures to ensure a similar scene never happens again ... promising changes in a letter to the SEC this week.

Some of the plans, White explained, are effective immediately ... including prohibiting student guest tickets, increasing law enforcement at games, and removing bottle caps from concession stands.

White added plans for a new seating process and upgraded camera systems could also be in the works to assuage any further issues.

Robert Woods Cops 'Freddy Vs. Jason' Cleats ... For Halloween Game

Halloween falling on an NFL Sunday doesn't happen often ... so Robert Woods made sure to take advantage of the occasion -- by coppin' awesome "'Freddy Vs. Jason" movie cleats!

TMZ Sports has learned the L.A. Rams receiver wanted to make sure he was all set with some scary cleats for the spooky holiday ... so he hit up his go-to artist, Joe Castro, to get the spikes done for his game against the Texans.

The 29-year-old decided to go with the 2003 horror film, "Freddy Vs. Jason" ... and Castro delivered.

You can see the pieces came out awesome ... they feature Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger on the side of the Nike cleats ... with a splash of blood painted on them too.

Castro tells us it took 7 hours to create the hockey-masked slasher and the bladed-glove slayer pieces ... and there's a good chance you'll see Woods wearing 'em during pregame warmups Sunday.

FYI, the last time Halloween fell on an NFL Sunday was 2010 -- so enjoy the rare opportunity for football AND trick-or-treating!!

Houston Texans Trade Mark Ingram ... Brandin Cooks Says 'This Is Bulls***'

Published | Updated

Brandin Cooks appears to be VERY upset at his team for trading away Mark Ingram ... saying "this is bulls***" just minutes after the Texans agreed to jettison the running back.

Houston is sending Ingram to the New Orleans Saints for draft picks, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero ... and shortly after the news broke, Cooks took to Twitter to presumably sound off on his org.

"This is bulls***," the star wide receiver said. "Such a joke."

While it's certainly possible Cooks was referring to something completely different than the trade -- it seems safe to assume the guy is definitively mad at Houston brass for the move.

Ingram hasn't exactly been tearing it up this season ... but the Texans have now traded away or cut multiple key veterans in the past few weeks -- and Cooks is no doubt upset about it, given Houston is 1-6 this season and doesn't look to be trying to improve its roster.

Cooks, though, might not have to put up with the head-scratching, money-saving decisions much longer ... he, too, is reportedly on the trading block.

Deadline to deal players is next week ... Godspeed, Brandin.

Mark Davis Raiders Owner Bashes NFL ... Over Gruden Scandal

Published | Updated

Mark Davis has a serious bone to pick with the NFL ... calling out the league for its timing of the Jon Gruden email scandal and claiming the Raiders were treated unfairly.

Davis spoke with reporters at the league's owners meeting in NYC on Tuesday ... saying he's pissed about the way the Gruden incident played out in the middle of the season.

The Las Vegas Raiders owner questioned why the NFL knew about Gruden's emails for months, but didn't notify the team sooner ... adding the team only found out from the Wall Street Journal the Thursday before the coach resigned, according to Albert Breer.

When asked if his team was treated unfairly throughout the incident, Davis responded, "We’re Raiders. We’re used to this."

As for the investigation into the culture within the Washington Football Team organization, Davis says he wants a written report on the findings ... but commish Roger Goodell has already stated the NFL will NOT make it public.

Davis says he's talked with Gruden since his resignation and said he's "hurt" ... but understands the consequences.

Bucs Fan Byron Kennedy Still No Regrets Over Returning Tom Brady TD Ball ... I Swear!!!

I DID THE RIGHT THING

Byron Kennedy's now had three days to stew over returning a $500,000 ball to Tom Brady ... but he tells TMZ Sports he STILL has no regrets about handing over the pigskin.

We got the Tampa Bay Bucs superfan on Wednesday ... and he made it clear, he's not feeling down in the dumps one bit about giving away TB12's 600th TD ball on Sunday -- even after half a week to think about his decision.

"I think I did the right thing," Kennedy said. "I'm happy Tom has it."

As we previously reported, Mike Evans accidentally gave away the Brady ball to Kennedy following his touchdown catch against the Chicago Bears ... and after the Bucs asked for it back, Byron obliged.

The problem ... memorabilia experts say it was worth half a mil!!

Kennedy, though, has since been rewarded for his troubles ... the team hooked him up with tickets and swag, and Brady and Rob Gronkowski have since sent him cryptocurrency as well.

And, Byron tells us the return haul has been more than enough for him, saying, "It's all working out pretty well."

Sure, it's not exactly 18 holes on the golf course with Brady ... but it's clear, Kennedy's very happy nonetheless -- even if his wallet ain't.

Rob Gronkowski & Mojo Muhtadi Gifting Bucs Fan $30K In Crypto ... After Giving Up Brady's 600th TD Ball

Published | Updated

The fan who gave up Tom Brady's 600th TD ball might not have the $500K pigskin, but his Coinbase account is surging in value, 'cause Rob Gronkowski and Mojo Muhtadi are hooking up the dude with over $30K in tokens!!

Gronk and Mojo (along with Steve Aoki) partnered with a new crypto company called Beyond Protocol earlier this year, Muhtadi tells TMZ Sports. BP says they specialize in tech that allows internet-connected devices to communicate safely.

Anyways, back to the Bucs fan, Byron Kennedy.

As we previously reported, TB12 joined Eli and Peyton Manning on MNF and announced he was giving the fan 1 Bitcoin -- currently worth about $60K -- for giving up the extremely valuable ball.

Cool, but still not worth half a milli (at least not yet).

Enter Mojo and Gronk ... Muhtadi tells us he spoke to the company, and they've decided to hook the fan up with 690 coins (if you know Mojo, you get this) worth about $44 each.

Do the math ... that's nearly $31K in value.

And, in addition to the BTC, Brady and the Bucs are hooking the fan up with a bunch of cool memorabilia ... including signed jerseys, a helmet, cleats, AND 2 season tickets for the rest of this season and next season.

Might not be at $500,000 yet, but we're getting closer!
