'Good Times' Star Ja'Net DuBois Fam Claims Secret Dad Was Jazz Icon Cab Calloway!!!

Ja'Net DuBois' family is revealing an amazing hidden fact about the "Good Times" star -- her biological father was none other than jazz legend Cab Calloway ... or so they believe.

It's turning into quite a showbiz mystery, actually ... one that started when Ja'Net's death certificate was released this week by L.A. County. The document, obtained by TMZ, lists her father as Cab -- and says she was also known as Jeannette T. Calloway-DuBois.

It's interesting because, in addition to acting, Ja'Net was a singer. She co-wrote and sang the theme song to "The Jeffersons" ... which makes ya think the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

If you don't know, Calloway's swing era, singing and dancing, helped put Harlem's famed Cotton Club on the map in the 1930s.

However, before anyone starts rewriting history ... there's a dispute. Every online bio for Ja'Net lists her dad was Gordon Dubois and her mother was Lillian Gouedy. Her mom's name is the same on the death certificate, but Mr. Dubois is nowhere on the document.

Ja'Net's daughter provided the info for the death certificate, and when we asked her to clarify, she would only say Gordon was married to Lillian and "instrumental" in raising Ja'Net. Basically, a stepfather.

Now, Cab died in 1994, but his estate has no clue about the alleged connection. The estate tells TMZ .. "While we have a great appreciation for Ja'Net DuBois' long and successful career, the Calloway Estate has nothing to add to this single document that has numerous mistakes and no verification."

For instance, the estate points out there are multiple birthplaces and birth dates listed online for Ja'Net. We're told they'd be open to a conversation with her family if there were any "compelling facts to substantiate" their claim.

Translation: Ball's in the Dubois family's court now.

Billie Eilish Dope New Bling '5X' To Celebrate Grammy Wins

Billie Eilish is celebrating her history-making night at the Grammys with some shiny new bling ... and the piece is an ode to her sweep of the show's top awards.

The custom pendant is 14-karat gold with black diamonds and was crafted by celebrity jeweler Boodaddy Diamonds of Koosh Jewelers. As for the shape, the "5X" signifies Billie's 5 wins at her first-ever Grammys, including Best New Artist and Album of the Year.

Jewelry pieces similar to Billie's new bling have cost around $30,000 in the past ... so we're guessing this one rings up right around there too.

Eilish was the talk of the Grammys earlier this year and her album "When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" has gotten insane praise. She's back on the road and touring the world, so there's a good chance the necklace will hit tour stops too.

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

Billie's only 18 ... so if the whole buying jewelry for big accomplishments thing catches on, she's gonna have a whole lotta gold.

DaBaby Yes, I Slapped Someone ... But It's Not Her!!!

DaBaby is vehemently denying a woman's claim she was on the receiving end of his vicious slap -- the rapper admits hitting someone, but says alleged victims are coming outta the woodwork.

We broke the story ... DaBaby brutally assaulted a fan before his Saturday night gig in Tampa while walking through the crowd. Tyronesha Laws claims she's the one DaBaby slapped, but his legal team says not so fast.

THE BRUTAL SLAP

DaBaby's attorney, Drew Findling, tells TMZ ... enhanced video shows DaBaby slapping an individual who struck his left eye with what appears to be a phone with the flashlight on -- NOT the person standing to the left or the right of the individual shoving the phone in his face.

That's interesting because Tyronesha told us she was standing next to a young lady who reached with a phone -- flashlight activated -- toward DaBaby right before he allegedly smacked her in the face.

Findling says his law firm has been contacted by multiple people claiming to be the victim, but they haven't been able to establish the real identity.

I COULDN'T SEE WHO IT WAS

DaBaby's already apologized to the woman he struck, saying he thought he was hitting a guy and couldn't tell the difference because of the light in his face.

Clearly not the greatest explanation for the violence

NO PICTURES!

Tyronesha told us DaBaby's apology rings hollow because he's making fun of it in a social media skit with Michael Blackson -- but now DaBaby says the mea culpa ain't for her in the first place.

DaBaby's Slapping Victim Apology's Insincere ... He Thinks It's a Joke!!!

DaBaby's really not sorry for smacking the hell out of a woman over the weekend ... at least according to the victim, who says his apology is sorely lacking.

The woman on the receiving end of DaBaby's brutal slap, Tyronesha Laws, tells TMZ ... the rapper's mea culpa is empty and the proof is on his social media. Tyronesha got choked up when she told us about seeing a comedic skit about the incident the rapper posted.

We broke the story ... DaBaby brutally assaulted a fan Saturday night in Tampa on his way to the stage. Tyronesha told us what led up to the insanely violent blow, saying she wasn't even the person who put the flash in his face.

THE BRUTAL SLAP

She says she's embarrassed by everything that's happened since that fateful moment, telling us it's really "hateful."

She's referring to DaBaby's skit with Michael Blackson -- they reenacted the incident, clearly making light of it, but Tyronesha ain't laughing.

NO PICTURES!

She says online trolls are making her life, and her daughter's, a living hell.

Tyronesha's already lawyered up ... and says she was diagnosed with a bruised cheekbone as a result of the vicious smack.

I COULDN'T SEE WHO IT WAS

DaBaby claimed he thought he was hitting a dude and did apologize ... but Tyronesha ain't buying what he's selling. Her attorney, Matt Morgan, tells us he's spoken with DaBaby's legal team and looks forward to continuing their discussions.

Billie Eilish Now for Something New ... Takes it Off During Miami Concert!!!

MAKING A STATEMENT
MEGA

Billie Eilish kicked off her Where Do We Go? tour by giving her fans quite a shock -- a rare display of her body ... to go with a powerful message.

The 18-year-old singer's well-known not just for her music, but for her habit of wearing baggy, oversized clothes to cover up ... and her first tour stop Monday night at Miami's American Airlines Arena was no different.

EXCEPT ... during a short video interlude between songs, Billie appeared on a screen in a dark tank top as she spoke to the crowd about the opinions people have of her.

Then, near the end of the vid, she took off the tank top to reveal just her bra ... and it was met with screams and cheers.

Here's what Eilish had to say in the video during the big reveal ... "You have opinions, about my opinions, about my music, about my clothes, about my body. Some people hate what I wear, some people praise it, some people use it to shame others, some people use it to shame me, but I feel you watching, always."

She added ... "The body I was born with, is it not what you wanted? If I wear what is comfortable, I am not a woman. If I shed the layers, I'm a slut. Though you’ve never seen my body, you still judge it, and judge me for it. Why? We make assumptions about people based on their size. We decide who they are. We decide what they’re worth. If I wear more. If I wear less. Who decides what that makes me? What that means? Is my value based only on your perception? Or is your opinion of me not my responsibility?"

Billie's famously avoided showing skin during her career because she's never wanted to be judged off of her body, but shortly before she turned 18 she revealed she wanted the option to flaunt her body and "look desirable." She said ... "I'm gonna be a woman. I want to show my body."

This isn't the first time Eilish has ditched the baggy wardrobe, though ... shortly after her 18th bday, she shared some bathing suit shots while on her Hawaiian vacation.

Her message is just less subtle this time around.

Nicki Minaj Hubby Registers as CA Sex Offender ... Classic 'Over-It' Mug Shot

Nicki Minaj's husband finally got his ducks in a row on the West Coast -- getting himself registered as a sex offender, and looking kinda ticked off in the process.

Kenneth Petty is now entered into the California Megan's Law database, which tracks sex offenders in the state. We don't know exactly what day he was registered, but it was clearly very soon after his arrest on Wednesday last week -- so a matter of days, really.

He's listed as 5'9", 170lbs ... and has a Bev Hills address. Check out his booking photo too -- Ken doesn't look very happy to be in custody.

TMZ broke the story ... KP was initially picked up by cops after a traffic stop last year in Bev Hills -- prosecutors say that's when they discovered he was registered as a sex offender in NY, but not yet on the books in California.

He was charged by the L.A. County D.A. for not registering ... before the feds arrested him last week for the same crime. While the L.A. County charge has been dropped, Petty will be back in court next month for the federal case -- and he has to wear an ankle monitor until then.

He also has to keep his nose clean substance-wise -- one of the conditions of his bond is no drugs, including legal weed.

Petty's sex offender status stems from a 1995 NY conviction for first-degree attempted rape.

City Girls JT Released From Federal Custody ... So Long, Halfway House!!!

City Girls member JT is tasting freedom ... because we've learned the rapper is outta federal custody after spending the last part of her sentence in a halfway house.

JT was officially released Friday, the Federal Bureau of Prisons tells TMZ. Remember, she'd been in custody since June 2018 after turning herself in on identity theft charges.

As you can imagine, JT's grateful to be home ... posting a ton of selfies Saturday and saying it's the first time she's woken up in her own bed in 2 years!

JT's not completely outta the woods, because legal docs show she's on probation for a year.

According to the terms of her supervised release, JT has to take a drug test within the first 15 days, and she can't have controlled substances or a firearm ... aaand she has to perform 200 hours of community service.

BLING BLING

JT went to prison just as the City Girls were getting super famous ... and her counterpart Yung Miami hooked her up with some custom bling as a welcome home gift.
