'Deadliest Catch' Capt. Painter Dies Rx Pills Found On Scene

Published | Updated

Blake Painter -- best known for being a captain on seasons 2 and 3 of "Deadliest Catch" -- has died, and police are testing substances found at the scene of his death.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Painter's body was discovered Friday in his Oregon home. We're told a friend of Painter's became concerned after not hearing from him for a few days ... so he called the police. Officers gained entry, and determined Painter had been dead for several days.

We're told cops discovered substances inside the home that they'll test for possible narcotics. They also found prescription pills, but it's unclear if they were a factor.

No foul play is suspected in his death, and an autopsy and toxicology test will be done to determine the official cause.

Painter was the captain of the F/V Maverick on the hit Discovery Channel show, and appeared in season 3 for several episodes before deciding to quit.

Blake was heralded as an expert crab fisherman. He was 38.

'Pawn Stars' Jesse Amoroso Cobain's 'Unplugged' Guitar is Priceless ... Like Jimi's Woodstock Strat

Published | Updated

"Pawn Stars" Jesse Amoroso says Kurt Cobain's "MTV Unplugged" guitar is a piece of rock and roll history and belongs someplace special ... in other words -- NOT with Frances Bean's ex-husband.

The guitar expert and Cowtown Guitars owner tells TMZ ... Kurt's 'Unplugged' performance with the 1959 Martin D-18E is synonymous with the '90s and as iconic as the white Fender Stratocaster Jimi Hendrix shredded with at Woodstock.

Amoroso says because Cobain played the acoustic-electric Martin -- which is already a rare guitar because only 302 were ever made -- it's basically priceless ... though he estimates it could easily fetch close to a million bucks or more at auction.

Jesse also tells us if Cobain's 'Unplugged' guitar ends up on sale, he hopes it ends up someplace where it will be appreciated ... like Seattle's Museum of Pop Culture or the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

We broke the story ... Frances Bean Cobain conceded her dad's famous guitar to her ex-husband, Isaiah Silva, in their divorce settlement after a long legal battle.

No word yet on what he plans to do with it.

WITH OPEN ARMS

WWE legend Booker T says Hulk Hogan deserves a 2nd chance in the WWE after his n-word scandal ... and tells TMZ Sports he'd welcome Hogan back with open arms.

Booker T and Hulk have been friends for decades -- and the 53-year-old essentially says Hulk's legacy shouldn't be defined by that racist outburst caught on tape.

"Everbody deserves a second chance," Booker T says ... "It's what life is all about."

As Booker would tell Hogan to his face -- "Man, I would say, 'Welcome back.'"

TMZ Sports previously reported ... Hulk and the WWE are in talks for his return. In fact, the WWE has been taking the temperature of fans to see how he'd be received.

Now, an endorsement from one of the most famous black wrestlers out there will probably cut in Hulk's favor.

Jay Leno Forever Young ... With an Oldie (But Goodie) Classic Car

Published | Updated

Jay Leno might be 68 years old, but he's driving like he's 25 in spirit ... and maybe about 90 or so on the road.

The former 'Tonight Show' host was spotted revving up on the I-5 freeway in Burbank, CA Sunday in what appears to be a 1930s-inspired whip. We're not car experts, so don't quote us ... but it kinda looks like a classic '70s era Clénet -- maybe even a 1950 Bentley.

Eyewitnesses tell us Jay was driving about 55 mph in the right-most lane, flashing the peace sign at cars passing him ... and letting the wind have its way with his hair. We're told the car even backfired while he was cruising ... yeah, you know it's an oldie!

There were no other cars or cameras tailing him, so this doesn't seem to have been filmed for his series "Jay Leno's Garage," where he talks shop and tests rides like this all the time.

Oh, and don't worry ... he didn't have any major car trouble here -- unlike last time, when he had to change a tire -- as far as we know. Ah, they don't make 'em like they used to.

Ben Foster & Laura Prepon First (Legal) Steps to Tie the Knot

Published | Updated

Ben Foster and Laura Prepon appear to be inching closer to husband and wife -- 'cause they hit up the one place in NYC they gotta go to make it happen.

The couple of about 2 years waited in line this week for the City Clerk, where marriage licenses are issued to residents. We don't wanna get ahead of ourselves -- there are lots of reasons Ben and Laura could've been at that office.

Maybe they were enrolling as lobbyists, requesting City Council transcripts or submitting their Oaths of Office as elected officials. Okay, definitely not the last one, but you get the point ... marriage license seems to fit the bill here.

As we reported ... Ben and Laura announced their engagement by flashing her massive rock in the fall of 2016. They already have 1 kid together.

We've reached out to their reps, but no word back yet.

Fun fact: the marriage license is only good for 60 days, so go ahead and cue up "Here Comes the Bride" ... they're gonna need it soon.

'Evil Genius' Director The Case Should Not Be Closed ... Especially for One Guy!!!

Published | Updated

Trey Borzillieri -- one of the directors of Netflix's hit documentary 'Evil Genius' -- believes investigators need to take another look at the notorious case ... because the show exposed some major lies.

If you aren't familiar ... 'Evil Genius' is about a diabolical bank heist in 2003 that goes awry and leads to the murder of Brian Wells. Despite convictions of a few criminals related to the crime, Trey thinks total justice has still not been served ... specifically to Floyd Stockton.

Trey tells us Stockton's immunity in the case was based on him telling the truth, but the director believes that's not the case ... so his immunity should be void and he shouldn't get a pass for his involvement.

Borzillieri also believes the shocking twist at the end of the doc -- a confession from former prostitute Jessica Hoopsick -- is totally legit ... and answers one of the main mysteries of 'Evil Genius.'

'B&B' Star Winsor Harmon Arrested Again for Drunk in Public ... Snoozin' in SUV

Published | Updated

Winsor Harmon's gotta learn how to booze and head the hell home -- the soap star got arrested again for being drunk in public ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us the ex-'Bold and the Beautiful' stud was busted earlier this month after cops were called to check on a man sleeping in his car in a burb of the San Fernando Valley. Upon arrival, we're told cops discovered Winsor sleeping in his SUV.

Sources say Winsor was passed out in the back seat, and that beer cans were all over the floorboard. One of the SUV's tires was also flat, apparently. Winsor eventually woke up, and appeared disoriented and inebriated after exiting the vehicle, according to police.

Cops determined he was too drunk to care for himself, so they cuffed him and took him to jail. He was eventually released and issued a citation.

Not much different from a few months ago when Winsor was initially arrested for drunk in public -- except this time there didn't appear to be any alleged public peeing. Dun-dun!

Marc Summers TV Sitcom Revivals Helped Bring Back 'Double Dare'

Published | Updated

Fans of "Double Dare" have TV shows like "Roseanne" and "Will & Grace" to thank for its comeback ... according to former host Marc Summers.

The "Double Dare" reboot returns this June with Marc as an executive producer. When we got him at LAX Wednesday he told us he'd been hounding Nickelodeon to bring back the game show for years, but they finally moved forward when they saw how other reboots were successful.

As for not hosting -- the new host is Liza Koshy -- Marc says it's got nothing to do with his OCD since getting down and dirty in the slime was never an issue for him ... which is kinda insane once you hear what they put in the stuff.

Nicole Eggert No Regrets In Baio Case!!!

I KNEW WHAT I WAS GETTING MYSELF INTO

Nicole Eggert says she knew it'd be a long shot for law enforcement to find a prosecutable case against Scott Baio -- but she doesn't regret for a second pursuing her allegations.

Nicole talked to us about her moral victory over Baio. We broke the story ... Baio won't be prosecuted for allegedly molesting Nicole while working on "Charles in Charge." Still, our sources say the D.A. believed Nicole's story.

She says she doesn't regret pursuing the case as vigorously as she did, because she says she wanted her truth out there. Nicole also told us whether she'd accept an apology from Baio, at this point.

Baio's rep says “According to on the record statements from the Los Angeles District Attorney, TMZ's source on this matter is incorrect, and the status of the case is unchanged. Similarly, we do not believe the various claims about comments about the strength of Ms. Eggert’s allegations are accurate. Ms. Eggert is now also subject to a restraining order for stalking a Baio fan using social media, which she has already violated. We believe Scott will be fully vindicated when this matter actually concludes, and Ms. Eggert will then be held fully accountable for her untrue and defamatory claims.”

TMZ reported the fact the D.A. handling the case found Nicole "credible" after meeting with her Wednesday, and that Scott would not be prosecuted based on the statute of limitations.

Our information is based on unimpeachable law enforcement sources directly connected to the case.

Morgan Freeman SAG Considering Yanking Life Achievement Award

Published | Updated

5:00 PM PT -- The corporate fallout for Freeman has begun ... Visa announced it's suspending its marketing in which the actor is featured. TransLink -- a Vancouver-based transit system that features a Freeman voiceover in an ad -- made a similar announcement, as well.

Morgan Freeman's huge honor from his peers from the Screen Actors Guild is now on the line ... in the wake of sexual harassment allegations ... TMZ has learned.

A rep for SAG tells us, "These are compelling and devastating allegations which are absolutely contrary to all the steps that we are taking to ensure a safe work environment for the professionals in this industry."

Freeman was awarded SAG's Life Achievement Award back in January but now says it's reviewing what "corrective actions" might be appropriate.

SAG acknowledges Freeman has the right to due process, but says it's "our starting point to believe the courageous voices who come forward to report incidents of harassment."

As we reported ... 8 women told CNN they were the victims of harassment or sexual misconduct by Freeman on several movie sets, and at media events connected to his movies.

Freeman has denied "intentionally" offending or making anyone feel uncomfortable.

Bob Barker Actual Retail Price Of My Recycling Bin is ...

Published | Updated

'Cause Bob Barker never REALLY retired, right?

Almost 11 years after hanging up his 'Price is Right' mic, Bob's still keeping busy and looking spry. He was dutifully bringing in his recycling bin Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles. Takes an especially down to Earth kinda guy to do his own chores ... at the ripe young age of 94!

Sure ... he could be playing Hi-Lo, 3 Strikes, Switcheroo or Plinko in a roomful of screaming 20-somethings -- but then who'd take out the trash? Do you, Bob!

Oh, and don't forget to spay and neuter your pets.

Scott Baio Sexual Assault Case D.A. Believes Nicole Eggert ... But, Baio Won't Be Prosecuted

Published | Updated

Scott Baio will not be prosecuted for allegedly sexually assaulting Nicole Eggert during the run of "Charles in Charge," but we've learned the D.A. found her credible.

Sources familiar with the case tell us on Wednesday Nicole met the L.A. County Deputy D.A., who is reviewing the case. Our sources say the D.A. found Nicole's allegations "credible." As we reported, Eggert claimed Baio repeatedly molested her between ages 14 and 18. Baio insists they had sex only once ... when she was 18.

Our sources say the D.A. called the case "potentially prosecutable" ... were it not for the statute of limitations.

Under current law there's no statute of limitations if an adult sexually assaults a minor. But, when the alleged assaults occurred in the '80s, the statute of limitations was 3 years, which means it has long since run out.

There's an argument that old cases could still be prosecuted if the statute hadn't run when the law changed, but in this case the statute ran before the law changed, so case closed.

Eggert tells TMZ, "I always knew this case was beyond statutes of limitations and unfortunately the DA would not be able to prosecute Scott Baio. However I also knew the importance of laying the groundwork for any future victims of Baio's that may come forward and to warn parents who might unknowingly allow their children to be alone with this molester."

She goes on ... "I could no longer keep up the lie he conditioned me into and felt it a Mother's responsibility to put the truth out there."

Baio had no comment.

Nicole Eggert Ordered to Stop Harassing Scott Baio Fan

Published | Updated

6:30 PM PT -- Eggert tells us, "Myself and my supporters have been continually attacked by Jorges, a paid internet troll hired by the Baios, to the point that she has contacted people in real life and tried to have them fired for supporting me. We have record of all of it. She seems to suffer from mental illness as she has already admitted to "stalking" me.

A source close to Eggert tells us in a tweet that mentioned Baio's wife, Jorges allegedly said, "Yes ... I am stalking Nicole Eggert. We have to take it upon ourselves to spread the truth. Because y'all have no clue what so ever what that means. LIAR QUEENS. Full admission! all liars, like Nicole! Scum."

Nicole Eggert's been ordered to stay the hell away from a Scott Baio fan alleging Nicole trolled her on social media ... and to immediately stop harassing her.

The woman -- Kimberly Jorges -- got a restraining order against Nicole ... this according to new legal docs obtained by TMZ. We've learned the fan claims Nicole urged her 70k Twitter followers bombard the fan's employer with phone calls. We're told the fan and Nicole had been going at it for a while before Nicole allegedly posted the name of the fan's employer.

The fan was a staunch supporter of Baio's and threw shade on Nicole and her claims he sexually abused her during the run of "Charles in Charge."

The restraining order comes on the same day TMZ broke the story that the D.A. found Nicole's claim Scott sexually assaulted her as credible. The D.A. called the case "potentially prosecutable" were it not for the statute of limitations, so the case will not be filed.

Michael Jackson Estate Disney has Unmitigated Gall Airing 'Last Days' TV Special

Published | Updated

The folks managing Michael Jackson's estate are outraged that ABC would dare do a documentary called "The Last Days of Michael Jackson" and trash the singer and exploit his legacy.

A rep for the estate tells TMZ ... it's especially galling that Disney -- which owns ABC, and sometimes viciously protects its image -- would sully the image of Michael. The rep called Disney's conduct "disgraceful."

The rep went on to say this -- "What if we did a documentary on the relationship between Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and some of the rumors they were drug abusers? How would Disney like that?"

We're told Disney has not paid a cent for photos or music for the upcoming TV special, and the MJ estate will be watching like a hawk to see if any of those assets appear in the show. But, our sources say, the Estate's issue is not money ... it's that they think the show is irresponsible and dishonors Michael.

Cynthia Nixon Crushed by Cuomo ... Loses Party Endorsement

Published | Updated

Cynthia Nixon suffered a landslide defeat in her bid to become Governor of New York, but she's vowing it ain't over yet.

NY state's Democratic convention kicked off Wednesday, and sitting Gov. Andrew Cuomo got more than 95% of the delegate votes to secure the party's endorsement for a third term. The former "Sex and the City" star came up woefully short of securing the 25% she needed just to guarantee her a spot on September's primary ballot.

Cynthia -- who announced her candidacy back in March -- won less than 5% of the delegates. It'll be an uphill battle, but she says plan B is to get thousands of signatures on a petition to get on the ballot.

Scheana Marie Look What the Tide Washed Up ... 'BiP' Hottie Robby Hayes!

Published | Updated

"Vanderpump Rules" star Scheana Marie's bathing suit says it best -- now that she's hooking up with another hot reality TV star ... in Hawaii -- yeah, "Living My Best Life" definitely applies here.

Scheana and "Bachelor in Paradise'' star Robby Hayes were strolling through the surf Tuesday in Oahu. Rumors started to swirl they were hookin' up back in March, but they both claimed they were just good friends. We'd say VERY good friends, based on these shots.

Scheana had previously been linked to Rob Valletta after her divorce from Mike Shay.

One thing Robby and Scheana can't deny -- they look good together.
