Blue Lagoon No More IG Posing Crowds, Please ... Cops Dye Water Black!!!

Published | Updated

Cops in the UK are going to the dark side -- intentionally dropping black dye into a picturesque Blue Lagoon -- to stop photo-thirsty crowds from gathering ... and potentially spreading the coronavirus.

Derbyshire Police decked themselves out in full protective gear for their mission to make the Instagram hot spot way less desirable for photo ops.

Even after UK authorities announced restrictions limiting gatherings, cops say people were still flocking to the lagoon for pics ... mostly because the weather has been sunny and clear lately. The dye job was a last resort to discourage foot traffic.

As you know, the U.S. had a similar problem with spring break crowds recently in Florida when the Governor refused to shut down beaches.

STILL PACKIN' THE BEACHES

We doubt dying the Gulf of Mexico waters black would have dissuaded those inebriated beachgoers.

As for Derbyshire's Blue Lagoon ... it's in an abandoned quarry and gets that pristine look from harsh chemicals leaking from surrounding rocks.

It's not at all safe for swimming but makes for a great photo backdrop. Well, it did.

As they say, "I'll see you on the Dark Side of ... the lagoon!"

Liam Hemsworth Still Gotta Catch Some Waves In the Time of COVID-19

Published

Liam Hemsworth demonstrated a couple of things Saturday ... he's a crazy good surfer, and he's not afraid to catch those waves while others fear the coronavirus.

Check out Liam's surfing skills as he catches waves off Australia's Phillip Island. Aside from his ability to ride some gnarly waves all the way into shore ... he also practiced great social distancing. Hard not to, when you're the only one on a board.

He better get it in while he can, because on Monday many public areas in Australia will be closed, including public playgrounds, outside gyms and skateparks. Authorities have closed world-famous Bondi Beach after massive crowds made it dangerous.

It's unclear if the beach where Liam was surfing had been closed -- but he was hanging ten solo.

Liam's spent lots of time Down Under since the split from Miley. Most recently we saw him hit a beach with his new GF ... who, apparently, took a raincheck on surfing.

Bruce Arians Rips Antonio Brown As Bad Fit For Bucs ... We Ain't Signing Him!!!

Published

Bruce Arians just slammed the door right on Antonio Brown's face ... saying there's no way in hell the Buccaneers sign the guy -- despite the WR's plea for a roster spot in Tampa.

"I just know him," the head coach said Thursday. "And, it's not a fit in our locker room."

Brown has been begging Arians to give him a look since his old pal, Tom Brady, signed there last week ... and it seemed like the wideout was willing to give the team a massive discount.

In fact, AB even went as far as to say he had "a lot of fun" with Arians during their time together in Pittsburgh ... and thought they could rekindle the magic in Florida.

But, Arians, speaking on Tiki Barber's "Tiki And Tierney" show this week, said AB needs to look elsewhere for a job ... 'cause the Bucs have ZERO interest.

"Yeah, it's not gonna happen," Arians said. "It's not gonna happen. There's no room. And, probably not enough money. But, it's just not gonna happen. It's not a fit here."

Of course, Brown is perhaps the most talented wide receiver in the league ... but he'd bring serious baggage to any locker room -- and that's even if the NFL allows him to play.

Remember, Brown is accused of some heinous things -- including rape and assault -- and Roger Goodell and league officials are still investigating it all.

Plus, even on the field, AB hasn't been a model citizen ... he squabbled with the Oakland Raiders over a helmet and even got in a fight the team's GM -- this just months after he essentially forced his way out of Pittsburgh.

Seems that's a little too much for even Arians -- whose famous motto is "risk it for the biscuit."

Donald Trump We Have to Get Back to Work ... And Quick

This may be the scariest news conference about the coronavirus to date, because Donald Trump has all but said he is going to do what he can to break the mandatory quarantines and get people back to work, and he says it will happen
BIG TIME RUSH

This may be the scariest news conference about the coronavirus to date, because Donald Trump has all but said he is going to do what he can to break the mandatory quarantines and get people back to work, and he says it will happen "quickly."

His statement flies in the face of people who have devoted their lives to infectious diseases -- like Dr. Anthony Fauci -- who has said the virus and not people [politicians] set the timeline.

Trump said later in his news conference when he first learned of the disease, he thought the death toll would be way higher than it is. Yay?

And, there's this ... he said when people go back to work, they can still practice as much social distancing as possible. This suggests at times, we all have to come in close contact ... which is probably true and almost certainly dangerous.
