Dennis Quaid took a puff on a plane, and broke both the airline's policy and a fellow passenger's peace of mind ... according to a new lawsuit.

A guy named Karl Larsen is trying to drag Dennis to small claims court in L.A., claiming the veteran actor smoked an electronic cigarette next to him in first class on an Air Canada flight from Toronto to L.A. when he shouldn't have ... 2 whole years ago in July.

According to the complaint -- obtained by TMZ -- Larsen says Quaid owes him the cost of a plane ticket for ... well, reasons that are unclear. He doesn't spell out why Quaid should pay him, but he does make note that he's cutting the guy a break -- only looking to be reimbursed the price of a biz class seat (not first class) from TOR to LAX ... at just $3,829.

For the record, Air Canada has a zero-tolerance policy on e-cigarettes on board. Then again ... this thing might be much ado aboot nothin' when it comes right down to it.

We've reached out to Dennis' camp for comment ... so far, no word back.

That was fast. Not long after Roseanne said she wanted to have Valerie Jarrett on her new talk show, so they can hash things out, the former Obama aide happily rejected the disgraced comedian with 1 simple word -- NO!!!

We got Valerie at JFK Airport on Wednesday and straight-up asked if she'd be willing sit down with Roseanne. As you know ... Roseanne compared Valerie to an ape, prompting ABC to cancel her show. Roseanne tried apologizing and later said, "I thought the bitch was white!" Valerie's African-American.

Roseanne wants to clear things up with Valerie (in the nude, no less), but it's crystal clear Valerie wants nothing to do with her. Valerie even took a subtle swipe at the comedian ... pulling a Mariah with a "Roseanne who?" when she joined the gals on "The View."

President Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is no more -- again -- after police say a man smashed it to smithereens with a pickax. That's right ... ANOTHER pickax!

Police reportedly took a man into custody early Wednesday morning after turning himself in to Beverly Hills PD for vandalizing Trump's star. The dude who axed the star reportedly called cops to report the crime ... but was nowhere to be seen when they arrived.

Witnesses and police say the man arrived on Hollywood Blvd. with a guitar case in hand, from which he pulled out the pickax. Then ... he allegedly went at it and crushed the star to rubble -- causing far more damage than James Otis did in 2016.

Speaking of Otis ... it's unclear if he was involved. The current suspect's identity has yet to be revealed.

Between this and George Lopez's fake peeing on the often-screwed-with star ... the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce -- which oversees and maintains the stars -- might wanna consider a long-term solution for this. We still got at least 2 more years, folks.

Roseanne Barr wants to hash things out with Valerie Jarrett once and for all, but she doesn't want anything to come between them ... like clothing.

Roseanne was at LAX Wednesday morning when we asked her about the new content she's working on with her son, Jake Pentland, for her YouTube channel. We raised the possibility of a tete-a-tete with Barack Obama's former aide ... considering ABC canned Roseanne over her racist tweet about Valerie.

She says she's down for it, with one major caveat -- nudity. Sounds bizarre, but still ... much better way to reach out than what she said last week.

We're pretty sure she's joking about going au naturel for her new show, but Roseanne got serious the instant we compared her to James Gunn ... the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' director who got fired over his own scandalous tweets.

Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney just learned that sometimes you gotta fight the good fight to get what you want -- and in this case he (and his female staffers) got it ... 500 boxes of tampons, and counting!!!

We got the New York Congressman Tuesday at his office in D.C., and he says folks across the country heard his message on TMZ loud and clear ... that the GOP had told him he couldn't use public funds to buy feminine hygiene products for his staff.

Maloney tells us tampons have been pouring in ever since he got on TMZ, and he's now dishing them out to anyone and everyone in Congress who wants some. Don't panic -- he's got plenty to go around.

Macklemore offered Demi Lovato some strong words of encouragement because -- as the rapper said at his concert while dedicating a track to her -- he's been there before.

Macklemore was performing at Xfinity Center in Massachusetts Tuesday night when he dedicated "Otherside" to Demi following news she'd been hospitalized for an overdose. The 2009 track touches on drug addiction and what it's like to fall into a seemingly hopeless downward spiral.

Macklemore -- who went to rehab at 25 -- called addiction a disease "that ties us addicts together." He called Demi his "sister in recovery" and added he knows what it's like to slip. The Seattle rapper not only dedicated the track to Demi, but to anyone else struggling with addiction.

Sacha Baron Cohen has taken down his first politician ... Georgia lawmaker Jason Spencer is stepping down after showing his bare ass and yelling the n-word on Cohen's show.

The Republican state assemblyman initially said he would not resign, but bowed to pressure from other state lawmakers who threatened a special session to oust him if he didn't quit.

Spencer embarrassed the hell out of himself on Sunday's episode of "Who Is America?" when he appeared in a segment where Cohen pretended to be an ex-Israeli military officer offering anti-terrorism training. Spencer repeatedly yelled, "N***er!!" as a way to attract attention during an attack ... and also dropped his pants to weaponize homophobia. Yeah, it was freakin' bizarre.

The assemblyman said Cohen took advantage of his "paralyzing fear that my family would be attacked."

Just because the NFL cut ties with Papa John's doesn't mean DeMarcus Ware will follow suit -- in fact, the ex-Broncos star is BRAGGING about ordering a PJ's pizza ... despite the n-word controversy.

Ware -- who's now a consultant with the Broncos -- had a hankering for some pizza Tuesday night and let everyone know the only shop that could satisfy his craving was Papa.

Interesting considering the NFL and several major sports teams (including the Yankees, Rangers and ATL Falcons) suspended their relationships with the company after it came out that founder John Schnatter used the n-word on a company conference call.

But, D-Ware clearly don't care ... ordering up a big ole pie at around 11 PM CT Tuesday night and captioning the act with, "It's about to go down!!!"

The order? Some sort of ham and ground beef mix ... with THREE garlic dipping sauces. Even D-Ware's dog wants in on the action.

Al Michaels has been covering pro sports in America for more than 50 years -- but, the legendary broadcaster admits ... he's never been to a single soccer game!

Michael says he really likes the sport -- and brags that his grandkids play -- but tells TMZ Sports he's never been to a real professional soccer game.

"People say to me, 'Don't you want to do the World Cup?' I'm going, 'Do the World Cup?' I've never been to a single soccer game."

For the record, Michaels has covered just about every OTHER major sport -- including football, baseball, hockey, horse racing ... and even figure skating and road cycling! Just no futbol.

Jenelle Evans keeping a loaded gun in her car -- in reach of her children -- proves she's not using sound judgment as a parent and doesn't deserve to have custody ... so says her ex and 2nd baby daddy.

We spoke with Nathan Griffith -- who shares 4-year-old Kaiser with Jenelle -- and he tells us he's incredibly concerned for his kid's safety in light of Jenelle's recently aired road rage incident on "Teen Mom 2."

He believes the video shows her kids are being raised in an unstable and hostile environment ... so his fight to get custody of Kaiser is well justified.

There's also this ... Nathan actually sides with Jenelle's husband, David Eason, who berated her for following someone home and confronting them. Nathan says it could've turned into a bloodbath, which is true ... 'cause the other driver told us he was armed.

Rep. Maxine Waters' Los Angeles office received a package Tuesday labeled "anthrax" and her office has been evacuated ... TMZ has learned.

According to law enforcement sources, a hazmat team is on the scene checking out the package. This comes on the heels of the Congresswoman receiving multiple death threats. Photos from outside Waters' office show multiple emergency vehicles on scene.

Rep. Waters says she's been flooded by threats since she advocated public protests and demonstrations against Trump administration officials -- a la Sarah Huckabee Sanders at the Red Hen. She's also made no bones about it -- she wants President Trump impeached.

Just last week there was a demonstration outside her L.A. office where her supporters burned American flags.

No word yet on whether the package really does contain anthrax or any other dangerous material. LAPD and L.A. Fire Dept. are investigating.

Jenelle Evans didn't know who the hell she was dealing with in her road rage incident when she whipped out her gun, and she's lucky she didn't get her head blown off ... so says the other driver.

Robert Robinson Jr. -- the guy in the truck in the crazy video with Evans -- tells TMZ ... the "Teen Mom 2" star was the one who started acting crazy on the highway, so he admits he brake-checked her to try and chill her out.

He says once he saw Jenelle pull down his dirt road to follow him home in a rage, he alerted all his neighbors someone was coming -- neighbors who are like family to him ... and are all armed.

Robinson had a gun in his truck too, and tells us he only pulls it out to protect himself ... and shoots to kill. But he says he exercised restraint once he saw she had a kid in the SUV.

Jenelle Evans whipped out a handgun -- while her son was riding shotgun, btw -- and brandished it at a driver she says cut her off during a road rage incident.

MTV aired video of the incident on Monday night's "Teen Mom 2" and it shows Jenelle slam on her brakes suddenly, start yelling at the other driver ... and then reach for her gun under the driver's seat, and place it in her lap. Remember, her 8-year-old son, Jace, is sitting right next to her.

Jenelle stopped and got into an argument with the guy, yelling, "You were tailgating me, you dumbass!!"

According to the other driver, Jenelle followed him to his house and drove into his mailbox. He then appeared to make contact with Jenelle's vehicle, and that's when she pulled the gun.

MTV opted not to air video of her brandishing the gun during the April incident -- but it's clear they have the footage.

Sacha Baron Cohen has been accused of "duping" people into saying and doing some ridiculously stupid things, but he's just showing their true colors ... so says Tony Rock.

We got Chris Rock's kid brother Monday at LAX and asked him about Sacha's latest "victim," Georgia lawmaker Jason Spencer ... who's now being called upon to resign after a horrifyingly offensive appearance on Showtime's "Who Is America?"

Just a heads-up -- the video is pretty graphic.

Sacha got Spencer to yell out the n-word repeatedly, use racist Asian stereotypes ... and drop trou (and undies) to fend off would-be terrorist kidnappers.

Corinne Olympios says her interview with Sacha Baron Cohen -- where she advocates grenades for kids -- is no reflection on her character, instead it only proves he strong-arms folks into looking stupid.

The 'Bachelor' alum was fully duped on Sunday's episode of Sacha's show, "Who Is America?," If you missed it ... she made crazy claims about saving Ebola-afflicted people in Africa, and pitched a bogus ad endorsing kids being weaponized.

It was NOT a good look for Corinne, who seemed willing to say and do anything for a buck. It's especially bad because Corinne was accused of lying during her 'BiP' controversy ... but Corinne tells us it's BS to conflate 'Bachelor' with what Sacha did to her.

R. Kelly's spewing out ALL his feelings about the sex cult allegations, his financial problems, the 3 celebs he wants to get off his back ... and much, much more in a 19-minute long song.

The track's called "I Admit" and in it, Kelly goes right after John Legend, Steve Harvey and radio host Tom Joyner for being critical of him. Kelly sings, "Why would they want to tear down another brother?"

He also pleads to women to "show black men some love, 'cause black men we go through enough" -- and says he needs his 'hood's support more than ever. In the song, Kelly claims he's broke and has to keep touring "just to pay rent."

Kelly addresses some of the sex cult allegations ... admitting Joycelyn Savage's father brought her to one of his shows, and says he and Joycelyn were into each other immediately. He dismisses claims he restricts his girlfriends from eating or leaving his homes -- and points out "I'm not convicted, not arrested."

He also claims he was molested by a family member up until the age of 14.
