READY FOR PT 3

Chuck Liddell says he's not just taking the Tito Ortiz fight because he's missing the sport -- telling TMZ Sports he wouldn't have signed on if he wasn't getting a fat ass paycheck.

We broke the story ... the 48-year-old legend hooked up with Oscar De La Hoya to return to MMA for the first time since 2010. Chuck and Tito finally signed their deals last week and Liddell is excited.

"I never get tired of hitting that guy," Chuck told us outside of Sushi Nishi in Calabasas ... "He never stops running his mouth. I really don't like him."

Chuck has scored the W in both of his previous fights with Tito -- and says he's going for the knockout this time around too.

As for the money, Chuck says he's getting paid handsomely -- and the size of his check was a huge factor in his decision to come out of retirement.

"I wouldn't be doing it if I wasn't getting paid well."

LeBron James Yachtin' with Jimmy Iovine ... Billionaire Boat Club!

Published | Updated

LeBron James may not be the richest guy floating off the Amalfi Coast right now ... because Jimmy Iovine just showed up!

The music mogul was spotted on a yacht with LeBron on the 4th of July -- as the NBA star continues to celebrate his new $154 million Lakers contract.

Unclear if LeBron is on Jimmy's yacht ... or if Jimmy is on LeBron's yacht -- but one thing is for sure ... they can both afford some sick boats!

By the way, they have a Beats By Dre connection -- Jimmy (who co-founded the company with Dr. Dre) made a fortune when Apple purchased it for $3.2 billion.

Did you also know ... LeBron ALSO made a ton of cash from the sale? He reportedly got a small stake in the company in exchange for promoting the brand back in 2008 and, when it sold to Apple, he made a cool $30 mil!

So, who buys drinks on the yacht ... Jimmy or LeBron?

Todd Gurley NFL Player Strike Is On the Table To Get Guaranteed Contracts

Published | Updated

Todd Gurley wants ALL contracts to be guaranteed in the NFL ... and he says players might have to STRIKE in order to get 'em!

It's been a heated debate for years -- with NFL players like Eric Winston saying they're so serious about making NFL deals more like the NBA and MLB ... they're ready to call for a work stoppage to force owners to pay up.

The current NFL collective bargaining agreement ends in 2021 -- and Gurley made it clear he's ready to heed Winston's call when the time comes.

Over the weekend, NFL offensive lineman Russell Okung also spelled out his argument for guaranteed contracts:

"Considering football’s level of brute, immanent physicality, high turnover as well as the short life cycle of its participants, it would seem to me that NFL players are in the most need of fully guaranteed contracts."

FYI ... NFL players have gone on strike before ... but, the last time they actually missed regular season games to get owners to meet their demands was WAAAY back in 1987.

But, 2021 could be a different story ... even DeMaurice Smith, Executive Director of the NFLPA, says a work stoppage is a "virtual certainty."

In other words ... enjoy the NFL while you can.

BREAKING HIS SILENCE

Nick Diaz is finally breaking his silence on that domestic violence arrest back in May -- telling TMZ Sports, "I was framed."

The UFC star and his camp had been radio silent about the May 24 incident ever since Nick was arrested for allegedly choking a woman and slamming her to the ground at a Las Vegas home.

He was charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation and faces up to 5 years in prison if convicted.

So, when we saw Nick leaving Tocaya Organica in Los Angeles, we asked if he had a message for his fans. He cracked a smile and said, "I was framed."

Diaz also talked about his fighting career -- telling us he wants to get back in the Octagon next year -- with his sights set on fighting Georges St-Pierre.

"I win if he don't cheat," Diaz said ... "If he don't miss weight like he did last time."

Diaz hasn't fought since 2015 -- despite UFC honcho Dana White offering him several fights over the past 3 years.

UFC legend Matt Serra claims some drunk a-hole was threatening the servers at a Vegas cafe on July 4 ... so, he took action -- AND TOOK THE GUY DOWN!

Serra was chllin' at the Grand Cafe at Red Rock Casino -- the night before he's set to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame -- when he saw the alleged a-hole being a jerk to staff.

The former welterweight champ subdued the patron -- while the guy continued to yell at Serra, "I'm gonna f*ck you up."

Spoiler: he did NOT "f*ck" Serra up.

Security rushed to the scene and took over.

Serra later posted the video and a statement saying, "How do you spend the night before your @ufc HOF induction?!? You subdue some a**hole drunk that was threatening waiters then tries to swing on you."

Published | Updated

As if you haven't seen Josh Brolin enough on the big screen this summer, here he is again for the 4th of July ... getting his cornhole on with pro surfing legend Laird Hamilton.

The actor -- who's been in 3 blockbusters so far this year -- was out at a beach in Malibu Wednesday celebrating Independence Day with a good old-fashioned game of throw-this-sack-in-that-hole. Based on how damn happy he looks, we're guessing he scored well.

NO WAVES, NO PROBLEM

Laird was spotted on the beach alongside Thanos/Cable/Matt Graver too ... but he eventually made his way into the water and did what he, quite literally, does best -- surfed his heart out. This time, on an electric surfboard!

'Merica. Yup, we got it like that.

Kim Kardashian Wake Up Call!!!

Published | Updated

Kim Kardashian kinda sorta mastered wakesurfing her first time out, and it's tricky ... to say the least.

Kim spent the 4th out on a lake in northern Idaho with fam and tried her hand at the water sport with the help of a watchful instructor.

Wakesurfing is different than wakeboarding ... you're not attached to the board and it's a shorter rope, but they're both arguably harder than waterskiing, so kudos to Kim ... but it'll be a while before she's doing any wave transfers.

NFL's Gareon Conley Sues Rape Accuser You Cost Me Millions and a Nike Deal

Published | Updated

Oakland Raiders cornerback Gareon Conley is out for revenge against the woman who accused him of rape ... saying the "false" allegation caused him to fall in the NFL Draft, costing him a fortune.

Conley -- a star player at Ohio State -- was investigated for rape after Brooke Puscian told police he sexually assaulted her in a Cleveland hotel room a few weeks before the 2017 NFL Draft.

The case went before a grand jury -- which ultimately decided NOT to indict Conley.

But Conley is still pissed -- and has now filed legal docs of his own claiming the "false" allegations seriously damaged his reputation, hurt his draft stock and cost him multiple endorsement deals "including a contract with Nike."

Conley also lays out his side of the incident ... saying Puscian had aggressively tried to have sex with him during the night in question, but he turned her down and she was embarrassed.

Conley says she lied to officials out of spite for rejecting her advances.

In the court docs, obtained by TMZ Sports, Conley says Puscian is liable for "malicious criminal prosecution" ... and he's demanding a fortune.

David Grutman Selling Celebs' Fave Miami Hot Spot (Kylie & Bella Not Included)

Published | Updated

David Grutman didn't invent the party boat scene, but he damn sure perfected it with the help of Kylie Jenner and Bella Hadid -- and now he's unloading their favorite floating playground.

We're told Miami nightclub and restaurant mogul Grutman is selling his 55' VanDutch boat, dubbed The GROOT, for $875k. The 2015 model is stunning and clearly built for ballers -- just ask Rob Gronkowski, Travis Scott and Hailey Baldwin.

It'll be the end of an era for Grutman -- for the last 3 years The GROOT's hosted all sorts of wild parties in the waters around South Beach.

Don't cry him a river just yet. We're told he's about to make a sick upgrade -- which means Calvin Harris, Michael Bay, Scottie Pippen and Ashley Graham will still have a hot spot to hit in MIA.

Tyrann Mathieu Unloading AZ Mansion ... After Cut By Cardinals

Published | Updated

The Cardinals cut ties with Tyrann Mathieu ... so he's cutting ties with Arizona -- putting his million dollar desert mansion on the market for $1.4 mil ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Honey Badger bought the 5,700 square foot pad back in April 2017 -- when he was in the middle of a five-year, $62.5 million deal. But he got the chop from the Cards in March and signed with the Houston Texans ... so his loss can be your gain!

The place is dope -- 6 beds, 6.5 baths, big backyard with a pool and a hot tub ... and a MOVIE THEATER!!

It also has a misting system -- which is nice ... since Arizona is hot as hell right now!! (It's 109 degrees in Phoenix!!!!)

But ... Honey Badger don't care anymore -- so now you can own his lair (if you got the cash).

Lindsey Vonn and P.K. Subban Wipeout on Water!

Published | Updated

Lindsey Vonn doesn't only go fast on snow, she goes hella fast on water too judging by the ride she gave her boyfriend P.K. Subban on an inner tube before he eventually wiped out.

Vonn and the NHL star celebrated the 4th of July on the Mediterranean. They've been doing the Euro-yacht thing like Lebron and Wednesday anchored off the coast of Sardinia.

Normally you'd go with a speed boat, but Vonn's got major skills on a jet ski because she got the 6ft, 210lb defenceman to fly right off.

P.K. returned the favor too. Helmets ... they're great.

Published | Updated

Joey Chestnut is undeniably the GOAT of hot dog eating contests because he just broke his own freakin' world record!!!

Chestnut scored another victory at the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island Wednesday afternoon after shoving 74 wieners down his mouth, a new world record. Chestnut's previous record was 72.

Chestnut recently told us how he prepares for competition and looks like his method paid off because he out did his competition by almost 30 hot dogs. Carmen Cincotti came in second place with 45 dogs.

The win is Chestnut's third straight victory and 11th overall in the last 12 years, but it didn't go without incident. Officials first said he only ate 64 dogs after a plate of 10 dogs hadn't been counted, not that it would've mattered for the win.

Dude is gonna need some antacid.

Jason Pierre-Paul doesn't want anyone to go through the same devastating injury that he did on the 4th of July several years ago -- and he's hoping some very graphic pictures of his firework injury will prevent future accidents.

LeBron James Yachts to Be Thankful For

Published | Updated

Newly-minted Lakers star LeBron James is still chillin' in Italy ... this after sealing an eye-poppin' deal.

LeBron has been cruising on a big-ass yacht for days. As we reported, he flew into L.A. last Friday, met with Magic Johnson Saturday, signed a $154 million deal with the L.A. Lakers Sunday, and then flew off to Portofino to re-connect with his fam.

LeBron jumped ship to dine at a restaurant. It's interesting ... Magic makes an annual trek to Italy with Samuel L. Jackson almost every year, so it seemed the 2 might meet up there. We're told Magic won't hop aboard until August, which is weeks away.

LeBron will probably be gone before Magic arrives ... then again, he is the King.

Mo Bamba Soul-Crushing Dunk ... From 8th Grade Game

Published | Updated

Here's proof Orlando Magic rookie Mo Bamba has been assaulting rims his entire life ... throwing down a massive, one-handed alley-oop as an 8TH GRADER ... and TMZ Sports has the footage.

The 6th overall pick in the NBA Draft was playing for Cardigan Mountain School back in 2013 ... when he asked his teammate to throw him a lob on an inbound play, and what follows is nothing short of amazing.

Not only does the then-14-year-old control the pass and throw it down, he's only a few inches from being eye-to-eye with the rim ... again, as an 8TH GRADER.

We're told this is one of Mo's first in-game dunks of his career. It's cool to see, especially considering he'll probably end up with like, a billion by the time he retires.
