Roseanne Barr Everything's Coming Up Roses ... Not Really, Though
Pretty sure Roseanne Barr would rather be in a writers' room working on season 2 of her show, but instead she's got tons of time to smell roses ... and scowl.
Roseanne's retreated to her Salt Lake City home, and Thursday morning she was looking pretty down and out while clipping rosebuds. Gardening is probably a wiser pastime for her than tweeting ... considering that's what led to her hit ABC sitcom being canceled.
TMZ broke the story ... there's potential good news for her former coworkers. ABC wants to revive "Roseanne," but center it around Sara Gilbert's character.
The show revival could be announced this week. Of course, the new version wouldn't bear Roseanne's name.
What's that line about a rose by any other name?

Ronnie from 'Jersey Shore' Nearly Comes to Blows with Guy ... On 2nd Day of Filming
Ronnie from 'Jersey Shore' came THIS close to an all-out brawl on the second day of filming season 2 in Vegas.
The incident went down Wednesday at a pool party at the Flamingo ... where Ronnie had to be restrained from going after some loudmouth. You can see from the start of this video Ronnie was charging at the guy, but both were restrained by the massive security team present. It's unclear what triggered the confrontation.
You can also see several cameras are rolling ... so the guess here is MTV cameras captured it for the show. Check it out ... the man Ronnie's beefing with keeps shouting something about Gucci and hustling.
Not the first time Ronnie gets heated with strangers. He landed behind bars in season 1 after knocking a man unconscious. He also brawled with another dude while filming the show, but cops were not involved. And, more recently, there was this.

Hope Solo Wants to Sue After Dom. Violence Case Dropped
Hope Solo says she's still furious after her domestic violence case was dropped -- claiming the whole ordeal damaged her personal life and career ... and she wants someone to pay.
Solo was arrested back in 2014 and charged with 2 counts of assault after allegedly beating up family members at a home in Kirkland, Washington. Cops said Solo appeared wasted and she went on a tirade, cussing out officers.
The case had been dismissed back in 2015 on procedural grounds, but prosecutors appealed and the decision was reversed.
But now, officials say key witnesses stopped cooperating and prosecutors felt Solo was unlikely to attack a family member again ... so they dropped the case.
Solo has now issued a statement saying, "I always knew this day would come but I never imagined it would take nearly four years."
"Any sense of relief and gratification is matched by frustration and disbelief knowing the great lengths the City of Kirkland and all involved went to in order to further their own interests. "
"The harm caused to me, my family and my career has been immeasurable and I intend to explore any and all legal remedies to hold those with no regard for the truth, fully accountable."
"Despite the negligence and the errant motivations of the prosecution, these four years have been a testament to my personal resolve. I remained focused on creating positive change around things I care most about with people who truly know and support me."

E-40 Warns Author ... There's Only One 'Captain Save A Hoe'
E-40 says an author ripped off his hit '90s song and slapped it on a novel, but he's giving the writer one chance to save himself from a 'Save a Hoe' lawsuit.
The rapper fired off a cease and desist letter to novelist, CJ Allen over his book, "Captain Save A Hoe." In the letter, E-40 says he has a trademark on his 1993 track, which covers merch, services and, most importantly, publications ... like "novel books in the fields of urban fiction."
Forty Fonzarelli says Allen's book infringes on his song's copyrights and confuses fans. According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, a lawsuit will be filed if Allen doesn't scrap the novel and provide a full accounting of all money made off it.
We found out the author's currently in prison, but his wife doesn't think E-40 has a case. She tells us readers won't confuse the book's heroine -- a sexy woman in a cape with an "S" -- with the main character in 40's music vid, a guy in a shirt and cape with a "C."
She also claims the rapper's causing her husband financial harm and stress ... beyond the normal prison variety, we're guessing.
E-40's actually sued author Erika Kane for this same thing, and that case recently settled.

John Goodman Hello, ABC? Yes, I'm 'Interested' in Reboot #2
John Goodman's looking like he means business ... as in the "Roseanne" reboot business.
John was out in New Orleans Tuesday, and was spotted on a call that seemed more serious than lighthearted -- and ya gotta wonder if that's ABC or "Roseanne" producers on the line.
As we previously reported, Goodman is "very interested" in being a part of a second "Roseanne" reboot ... which we're told will be centered around Sara Gilbert's character, Darlene, instead of Roseanne Barr. All of this is the fallout from the show being immediately canceled after Barr took a racially-charged shot on Twitter at a former Obama aid.
Now that producer Tom Werner's gotten involved in negotiations to relaunch the show ... we're told an announcement could come as soon as this week.
Stay by the phone, John!

Henry Winkler About Miss America Changes ... I'm Trying to Vote, and Not on Swimsuits!!!
Henry Winkler was fired up about Miss America right before he went to cast his ballot in the California primaries ... and ended up having even more reason to get ticked off.
We got the Fonz Tuesday as he was leaving e. Baldi in Bev Hills, and asked what he thought of the famed competition doing away with its swimsuit portion. He built up a lot of hype ... only to tell us how he really feels -- and the truth is, he had bigger fish to fry.
Moments after this clip, Henry got some bad news.
My name was left off the polling registry today on Los Angeles
@hwinkler4real
Turns out he was among the nearly 120,000 L.A. County residents whose names were left off the voter rolls at their polling place.
Seems he was able to cast a provisional ballot, though ... 'cause he got his sticker, and wore it proudly. Ayyyy, thumbs-up, Fonzie!

Donald Trump Uses Patriots, Cubs ... to Attack Eagles
Donald Trump is furiously trying to prove pro sports teams still like him -- despite the Eagles not coming to the White House -- by listing off all the championship teams who have accepted his invite.
Remember, Trump called off the Eagles visit after learning only a small number of players were actually planning to attend. The others had opted out for several reasons, including Trump's stance on the national anthem protests.
POTUS has been taking heat over the move from athletes and politicians, including Philly mayor Jim Kenney who ripped Trump as a "a fragile egomaniac obsessed with crowd size and afraid of the embarrassment of throwing a party to which no one wants to attend."
Trump responded to his critics with a flurry of tweets Tuesday morning.
"We have had many Championship teams recently at the White House including the Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros, Pittsburgh Penguins, New England Patriots, Alabama and Clemson National Champions, and many others."
Seems like he forgot NASCAR's Martin Truex -- because he posted another tweet later including the driver's name.
"...@NASCAR and Champion @MartinTruex_Jr were recently at the White House. It was a great day for a great sport!"
5/21/18
Don't forget, Trump says he still plans on holding a national anthem ceremony at the White House today instead -- featuring the U.S. Marine Band and U.S. Army Chorus.
Meantime, the Eagles have decided to hold a team workout instead.

Gigi Hadid at CFDA Awards 2018 Somewhere Over the Rainbow ... Or In It, More Like
Gigi Hadid appears to be getting her Picasso on for the CFDA Awards this year -- choosing a VERY brightly-colored jumpsuit as her outfit of choice for the big show.
The elder Hadid sister was heading out Monday in NYC on her way to the 2018 Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards at the Brooklyn Museum. It's clear that she wanted to make a big splash on the red carpet ... by getting every other color in there too.
Frankly, we're kinda getting "Les Femmes d'Alger" vibes here from Gigi's jumpsuit. That, or maybe a little Matisse, perhaps ... or even Tekashi69. But that's just us.
Gigi's younger brother, Anwar, followed close behind in more traditional attire. No sign of Bella, though ... or Gigi's on-again, off-again boyfriend, Zayn Malik. Looks like she was rollin' solo here for the most part ... doing it with flying colors, no less.

J Prince Drake Would've Ended Kanye With Next Pusha T Diss Track
Kanye West should consider himself lucky Drake isn't firing back at Pusha T, 'cause the track he recorded would've blown up Ye's career ... according to James Prince.
The Rap-A-Lot Records CEO tells us Drake was, in fact, ready to respond to Pusha's "The Story of Adidon" before J Prince stepped in and told him to stand down. According to Prince, what Drake had "cocked and loaded" would've "ended" Kanye, and caused a lot of pain. He insists they're not in the business of destroying families ... which is why he told Drizzy to stand down.
J Prince also doubled down on not resorting to a "pig pen mentality," which he clearly believes Pusha did by attacking Drake's mom, dad, and terminally ill producer. He doesn't consider this an L for Drake either -- despite what fans might be saying.
Of course, Pusha might look at it as a W -- he was hailed as a hero during Kanye's album listening party last week. Shortly after that, Kanye himself said the feud was "dead."
I’ve never been about beef I’m about love lines were crossed and it’s not good for anyone so this is dead now
@kanyewest
Hard to say if Ye was getting ahead of a potential situation, but that's all moot now ... 'cause the beef is officially squashed. BTW, Prince's book, 'The Art and Science of Respect,' is out now and he talks about some other famous rap beefs, which didn't end well.

Bill Clinton I Don't Owe Monica Lewinsky an Apology
Bill Clinton is revealing -- 20 years after their affair rocked the White House -- he hasn't spoken to Monica Lewinsky, and he's adamant he does NOT owe her an apology.
The former President got kinda testy while talking to NBC -- with author James Patterson to promote a book they co-authored. Clinton was asked about Monica and the #MeToo movement, and said he'd already apologized to the former White House intern, but never in person.
Watch, it starts around the 3-minute mark.
Watch part one of @craigmelvin's interview with Bill Clinton and James Patterson pic.twitter.com/UC8KAQw8Ge
@TODAYshow
Clinton straight-up said he wouldn't have done anything differently in how he approached the Lewinsky scandal had the #MeToo movement existed back then. He also referred to "gaping facts" missing from the story -- including being $16 million in debt when he left office.
Clinton defended his decision to remain in office and took a jab at Trump. What's more ... Clinton tried to justify the manner in which he apologized.

Tom Arnold Roseanne is Racist ... And, So Is Trump
Tom Arnold says his ex-wife, Roseanne, is undeniably racist ... also acknowledging she's plagued by mental illness.
Tom was on "Good Morning Britain" Monday when Piers Morgan asked him about the tweet that tanked the show. He says Roseanne has been off the rails the last 6 months ... so he's not surprised.
He says Roseanne suffers from mental illness -- multiple personality disorder -- but that doesn't excuse what she said. He talked about her meds, but didn't think the Ambien defense holds water.
On the subject of Trump ... Tom says no question there ... the Prez is a racist who is fueling racism. He has claimed during the filming of the show "Celebrity Apprentice" Trump said racist things in outtakes.

TMZ Staffer Murders Perfectly Innocent Steak
We love Dennis. Love him. So much.
But what he did to this piece of meat is nothing short of homicide. He managed to kill something that was already dead.
Dennis decided to pan sear (and then bake) a bone-in rib eye steak Sunday night and documented it on Twitter.
There was a ton of garlic. Some side-searing action ... and a $9 nonstick pan. It's hard to watch.
For the record, Dennis insists the final product was "delicious."
None of us actually believe that.
R.I.P.

J Prince to Drake Stand Down on Pusha T ... 'Can't Get in the Pig Pen'
James Prince says Drake will not be responding to Pusha T's vicious diss track under his orders ... because going that low is beneath the young MC.
The Rap-A-Lot Records CEO spoke with radio personalities Fadam Got da Juice and DJ Reddz of DTLR Radio Saturday, and told them he issued the directive to Drake that AM -- stand down, and don't respond to "The Story of Adidon," as many anticipated he would.
Here’s the audio from @DTLRradioFM along w. @FadamGotDaJuice @djreddz (6/2/18) pic.twitter.com/PqzfQRC2Mm
@ITSDJFLOW
He goes on to say that what Push engaged in was equivalent to a "pig pen mentality" and incredibly disrespectful for going after going after Drake's mom, dad, and his OVO producer with MS, Noah '40' Shebib. J Prince doesn't directly address Drake's alleged son with porn star Sophie Brussaux ... but you gotta imagine he means that, too. Speaking of taking the high road, Prince was on air promoting his new book, "The Art and Science of Respect."
Here's another thing ... sources connected to Drake tell us he had already recorded a diss track responding to Push's 'Adidon,' prior to James' phone call Saturday morning.
Seems J Prince doesn't want Drake to stoop to Push's level and screw with his mainstream rep ... and, presumably, his mainstream money.
Waiting for your permission to load Soundcloud audio.

Tekashi69 Shots Fired In Confrontation with Fetty Wap's Crew
Tekashi69 and Fetty Wap's crew got into a dangerous showdown that ended with shots fired ... according to law enforcement.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... 6ix9ine and his crew hit up a recording studio Wednesday night in L.A. to meet up with Fetty. We're told Tekashi never made it inside because Fetty's posse stopped them at the door.
We're told a confrontation ensued and, at some point, someone pulled out a gun and fired a couple of shots in the air. A witness called cops, but everyone had already left by the time they showed up. We're told cops recovered shell casings and are now on the hunt for the shooter.
Our Fetty sources claim the rapper wasn't even in L.A. the night of the shooting.
Here's what's strange ... Tekashi and Fetty's crew have been hanging out since the shooting ... posting videos together on social media. For what it's worth ... Tekashi and Fetty released a single together this year too.
Weird.

J.R. Smith 'Donkey of the Day' ... Says Charlamagne
"J.R. Smith ran away from that basket the way Pusha T claims Drake ran away from his responsibilities as a father."
That's why Charlamagne tha God awarded Smith his "Donkey of the Day" title on "The Breakfast Club" Friday morning ... blasting the Cavs player blunder that cost LeBron Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
"I don't know if J.R. Smith uses drugs," Char said ... "but if he does, I think it's his duty as an American citizen to tell us what the hell he's on or has been on so we don't make the same mistakes."
Charlamagne also blasted Smith for his explanation of the blunder ... saying Smith clearly did NOT know the game was tied.
"J.R. Smith ... shut the eff up forever."

Lena Dunham JK on the 'Roseanne' Spin-off ... I'm Busy Right Now!
Lena Dunham was apparently yanking our chain when she said she'd be down to write a new show for the remaining characters on "Roseanne." Joke's on us.
We got the "Girls" creator -- who acted in and wrote for the HBO show -- at LAX Thursday, where we asked if she was serious about her Twitter offer to "do the spin off of your show starring Darlene's cool kids."
I will do the spin off of your show starring Darlene’s cool kids https://t.co/5A2129BTl0
@lenadunham
Lena had retweeted Mindy Kaling, who offered to "write things" for John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf -- just a couple of the many folks who are now out of a job after ABC pulled the plug. As you might've heard, Roseanne's racist tweet completely tanked the show.
Welp ... turns out Lena is NOT actually interested at the moment. She tells our photog, on a scale of 0-10 as far as seriousness ... it's at the very bottom.
False alarm, everyone. Carry on.
