Miranda Lambert Selfie Fans Post Their Photos ... 6 Ladies Up in Front?!?
Miranda Lambert might've had good reason to go off on some front-row fans who were snapping photos at her concert -- 'cause there were half a dozen of them ... all on their feet, blocking the view of the people behind them.
One of the ladies in question -- who's now copping to being part of the group that got chastised by Lambert -- posted two pics she says were being taken right before the country singer paused her show over the weekend to give them a piece of her mind.
As you can see ... there are six women pictured here, who are at the foot of the stage, with ML right behind them -- who's trying to get the show on the road. More importantly, all of 'em are standing ... and from the looks of it, apparently blocking the view of others.
On its face ... it sure looks like they, perhaps, might've been a distraction -- that's certainly how Miranda felt anyway, proven in her mini tirade ... which her audience had backed.
Miranda actually caught flak for this ... as some felt she'd overreacted to what many presumed was a couple of girls firing off some low-key selfies during her set. However, that's clearly not the case -- it was a much larger gathering ... and a bit of a photo shoot, it seems.
BTW, the lady who posted these definitely thinks Miranda was in the wrong -- evidenced in her caption.
She writes, "These are the 2 pictures we were talking when Miranda Lambert stopped her concert and told us to sit down and not take selfies 😱." She's echoing what many said about Miranda's response -- mocking her, essentially -- but now ... ML might be vindicated!

Jason Aldean Denies His Song Is Pro-Lynching ... As Music Video Causes Uproar Online
-
Breaking News

Jason Aldean is speaking out after being accused of putting out a racially-charged music video ... and while the internet's outraged with his video, Jason is defending the lyrics.
The country singer took to social media Tuesday, opening by saying he's been "accused of releasing a pro-lynching song" -- referring to his track, "Try That in a Small Town," which was released in May but has been making the rounds since the music video dropped last week.
He says folks thinking it's about his distaste for the Black Lives Matter protests got it way wrong ... adding the "dangerous" accusations have no merit.
JA tells his fans the single's all about the community where he grew up, and how neighbors would take care of each other no matter what.
He does not address certain lines in the song ... such as telling people to take their anti-police mentality to a small town, adding "See how far ya make it down the road."
As for the MV, Jason only touches on it briefly -- simply saying the footage is from news clips. But, it's the location he chose to film his video, mixed with the context of the song, that had people up in arms.
The singer's video was shot in front of the Maury County Courthouse in Columbia, TN -- the place where 18-year-old African-American Henry Choate was lynched in 1927 after being dragged through the streets, accused of attacking a white girl.
CMT pulled the music video from its rotation Monday, so Jason's got some convincing to do.
We discussed the controversy surrounding the song on the latest episode of The TMZ Podcast, available on all podcast platforms.

Miranda Lambert Fan Chastised for Pic Vows to Never See Her Live Again

Exclusive

The Miranda Lambert saga continues -- now, one of the fans she scolded mid-show is vowing to boycott Miranda's future performances, and also defending herself and her friends.
Adela Calin was one of the women taking photos this weekend during Miranda's Las Vegas residency, and says Miranda -- and probably some fans -- has the wrong idea about what she and her friends were doing. On Tuesday's "TMZ Live," she shot down the notion they were being rude or disruptive.
Check out her explanation ... Calin says the whole thing didn't last more than 30 seconds, and more importantly -- she insists their quick group pose wasn't blocking anybody.
She tells us their seats were actually somewhat lowered and below everybody else's seats, and that they weren't even right up against Miranda either -- so when they got called out, Calin says she and her crew were shocked ... as they felt they weren't doing anything wrong.
The way she describes it ... sounds like Calin was having flashbacks to her childhood, when a teacher would wag their finger at her. Basically, AC says she felt like she was being talked down to, and doesn't appreciate it.
There's also the question of whether Miranda might've been distracted by the group's camera flash -- but on that front, too, Calin pushes back ... saying it isn't very likely based on the angle that the photo was being taken from. In other words, she seems to be siding with a lot of other people ... who say Miranda overreacted in this sitch.
As far as how this experience will affect her going forward ... Calin tells us one thing she'll never do again, for sure, is buy another Miranda Lambert ticket. One less fan, it seems.

Ricky Martin Twins Surprise Him Onstage ... Happy Times Amid Divorce
Ricky Martin's finding a way to have some fun while going through a divorce with the help of his twin sons -- his biggest fans joined him on stage during his latest show and the 3 of 'em had a blast.
The singer's 14-year-olds, Matteo and Valentino, joined their pops during his gig in Locarno, Switzerland Monday night ... something he called a "beautiful surprise!"
Ricky was clearly smilin' from ear to ear while his boys hyped up the crowd in the rare sighting ... no doubt a sign the bond between them is still strong as hell as RM re-enters the single life.
As we reported, the Puerto Rican pop star and his estranged hubby Jwan Yosef announced their divorce in a joint statement earlier this month ... saying they've made the tough call to "end our marriage with love, respect, and dignity for our children."
The couple tied the knot in 2018, with a prenup set in place. Along with the twins -- who Ricky had via surrogate prior to Jwan -- they also have 4-year-old Lucia and 3-year-old Renn.
They said their goal moving forward is to "continue having a healthy family dynamic" ... and that appears the be the case -- at least, for Ricky and his eldest kids.

Miranda Lambert Stops Show, Berates Fans ... No Selfies, Listen to the Music!!!
Miranda Lambert wants people to listen intently during her concerts -- which she made clear at her concert, in pretty dramatic fashion, no less.
The country singer was performing at her Vegas residency Saturday night, and right as she was about to launch into her song, "Tin Man," she hit the pause button to address some ladies near the front, who were apparently snapping photos ... of themselves!
As Miranda explains, she was upset by the fact that the unidentified women were taking selfies instead of listening to her sing ... so much so, she felt she needed to say something.
She told her band, "I'm gonna stop for a minute" ... the music cut off, and Miranda actually motioned to the women to stop and put their phones away. Presumably, they did, because she started over and got into the vocals.
Still, it was clear she was quite peeved by what she perceived as a couple of rude fans.
BTW, the crowd cheered her on during this ... so we're sure NO ONE else in the audience took a selfie! 🙄

Bebe Rexha Puts Boyfriend On Blast ... For Weight Gain Text
Bebe Rexha is putting her boyfriend on blast for fat-shaming her while they were texting.
The singer posted a message on her Instagram Sunday, containing a screenshot of Keyan Safyari's text, critiquing her body in the most unflattering way. Keyan told Bebe she was beautiful and he loved her, but that he would always be honest because he cared about her.
Then he wrote, "Would you rather I lied to you? You gained 35 pounds obviously you gained weight and your face changes?" Keyan then justified his hurtful words by saying Bebe calls him "chubbs" whenever he packs on 3 pounds.
Keyan also encouraged Bebe to seek out a therapist and do the "retreat thing" to get to the root of the possible issues in their relationship.
The couple started dating in 2020, but their current status is unclear. And they don’t seem to be in a good place.

Morgan Wallen Gifts Idaho Murder Victim's Family Free Concert Tickets ... Donation, Meet/Greet Too!!!
Morgan Wallen heard one of the Idaho murder victims was a huge fan of his, so he took it upon himself to seek out the late college student's family ... with none other than an invite.
The country singer touched base with Ethan Chapin's mourning loved ones ... this according to Ethan's mother, Stacy, who recounted the sweet move on social media. Sounds like she and the rest of the Chapin household got the VIP treatment for MW's SoCal show Friday.
She says Ethan once sent her one of Morgan's songs, telling her he loved the dude -- a story Stacy's publicly shared since his death. Welp, Morgan heard about it and did something.
Stacy writes, "Last night, we met Morgan Wallen! He kindly gifted our family and friends tickets to his show in San Diego. Morgan's mom, Lesli, even flew in! It was an incredibly bittersweet full-circle moment."
She continues with this ... "Truthfully, the show would have been enough. We were all over the moon, and then Morgan handed us a donation check to the Ethan’s Smile Foundation. It was one of the kindest gestures in my life. I still cannot believe it happened, and it isn’t easy to recognize it all came at a massive cost to our family." Stacy ends by thanking Morgan.
Obviously, the family posed with Morgan for a handful of photos ... and just like she says, they all looked overjoyed to be there. Of course, it also must've been somewhat painful.
Ethan was one of 4 University of Idaho students who were killed last year ... the others included his girlfriend Xana Kernodle, and her roommates, -- Madison Mogen and Kaylee Gonclaves. All of them had been brutally stabbed to death at a house they were renting.
Prosecutors say they have the alleged killer ... Bryan Kohberger, whom they claim carried out the grisly murders and who'll now stand trial -- with the death penalty on the table.
He's pled not guilty to the murder charges he's facing.

Jason Aldean Dashes Off Stage Mid-Performance ... Latest Heat Stroke Victim
6:30 AM PT -- Just as we thought, the concert venue tells TMZ he pulled the plug on the show because he was experiencing heat stroke. He's doing ok and Jason Aldean's team is working on a rescheduled date.
Jason ran into trouble during his Connecticut concert Saturday night ... he was filmed bolting offstage in the middle of a song, and although we don't know, there are signs it was heat-related.
The country star was performing in the heat and humidity at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford when he stopped singing and buried his face in his upper arm. It looks like he was wiping off sweat, then he just ran off stage.
Check out this video ... Jason starts belting out the words again while standing at the mic, but it's all very brief, and that was the end of the show. Something is clearly wrong.
We don't know what happened after that ... but one of Jason's fans took to Twitter to provide some details.
She wrote ... "It was hotter than hell. It was bad enough just standing in the pit I can't imagine performing in jeans, boots, and hat under all those lights in that humidity with no breeze. Hope he's okay!"
She also said Jason never returned, and the show was cut short. Jason is currently on his "Highway Desperado" tour, so we hope it's not too serious.
We've reached out to Jason's reps for comment ... so far no word back.

Luke Combs 'Fast Car' Cover Sparks Discourse Re: Tracy, Country Racism
Luke Combs' cover of Tracy Chapman's hit, "Fast Car," has been dominating the country charts -- but amid its success ... some have wondered if racism is afoot in the genre.
Here's the deal ... think pieces have been published of late that delve into this topic -- including one from WaPo, which really kick-started this conversation -- and they're all posing the same question ... why didn't TC resonate with the same audience Luke has???
As Luke Combs's hit cover of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car" dominates the country charts, it’s bringing up some complicated emotions in fans & singers who know that Chapman, as a queer Black woman, would have an almost zero chance at that achievement herself: https://t.co/7pCIMW5F0N
— Emily Yahr (@EmilyYahr) July 13, 2023 @EmilyYahr
The answer that a lot of these articles seem to land on -- after interviewing subjects, etc. -- is that, even today, it's hard for Black artists to break through in country. And they're using the example of Luke thrusting new life into "Fast Car" as their exhibit A for that argument.
Of course, in reaching this conclusion ... the word "racism" is getting thrown around a lot.
In fact, the author of the WaPo article put it quite succinctly in promoting her work -- writing, "As Luke Combs's hit cover of Tracy Chapman's 'Fast Car' dominates the country charts, it’s bringing up some complicated emotions in fans & singers who know that Chapman, as a queer Black woman, would have an almost zero chance at that achievement herself."
Unfortunately for her, it doesn't sound like the Internet's accepting her theory at face value ... and pushing back on the implication that "Fast Car" was some obscure song that's only now getting mainstream recognition -- while also trolling WaPo as reaching for outrage.
I know a lot of people on the site are too young to remember the 90s, but “Fast Car” by Tracy Chapman was a huge hit and on the radio every 10 minutes for about a half-a-decade.
— Ryan James Girdusky (@RyanGirdusky) July 15, 2023 @RyanGirdusky
She won 3 grammys & the album went 6x platinum. A black queer woman singing folk can succeed. https://t.co/Bed3krjg28
You can see how folks are reacting for yourself, but as many of them are pointing out ... "Fast Car" was a monster hit when it was released in '88, and helped Tracy break out into music, not to mention accolades that followed after, including Grammys and other awards.
Even commercially, the song killed ... soaring on a number of charts around the world, and peaking at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 list at the time. Bottom line ... it seems like people are scoffing at the notion that Tracy's missing out/getting snubbed amid Luke's use of it.
And as others are also clarifying ... "Fast Car" was not originally released as country song -- and that, perhaps, the reason it's booming in the country scene right now is because a huge country star did their own rendition with it. That's also known as ... a crossover cover.
We're also just now getting to a huge part of this ... namely, the fact that Tracy has gone on record to applaud Luke for his cover -- and more importantly, the enormous amount of royalties this has generated for her ... seeing how she's the original songwriter here.
“Combs’ version has generated at least $500,000 in global publishing royalties, Billboard estimates, with the bulk going to Chapman who owns both the writers’ and publisher’s share of the song.” https://t.co/eYrVr0Xjz1
— Angelo Young (@angeloyoung_) July 8, 2023 @angeloyoung_
Tracy said, "I never expected to find myself on the country charts, but I’m honored to be there. I’m happy for Luke and his success and grateful that new fans have found and embraced 'Fast Car.'" In other words ... she seems to be more than fine with this.
Carry on, folks ... nothing to see here.

Taylor Swift Exercise Your Franchise, People!!! Casts Vote in Nashville Election
Taylor Swift took a break from her Eras Tour to go out and vote in her hometown of Nashville ... and she's calling on her millions of fans to follow suit.
The pop star posted a message to her Instagram story Friday ... informing her Tennessee neighbors early voting for their city officials and some state seats had already begun. She also attached a photo of herself wearing a sticker that read, "I voted today."
Taylor continued, "We have the opportunity to choose those who will represent us for the next four years ... I urge each and every one of you to do the same and make your voice heard."
She ended by providing a link to her followers instructing them on how to get to the polls for early voting.
Politics has piqued Taylor's interest in the past. In 2018, Taylor endorsed Phil Bredesen, who was running for the Tennessee Senate seat as a Democrat, but he lost to Republican Marsha Blackburn.
The following year, Taylor penned a letter to Republican Tennessee Senator, Lamar Alexander, encouraging him to get behind the Equality Act, which prohibits discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation.
Even though the legislation had already been passed by the House of Representatives, a number of Republicans voiced their opposition to it.
Taylor has also tweeted about her views against racism and police brutality.
Senator Swift maybe? It's got a nice ring to it.

Lisa Marie Presley Opioids Found in System ... Small Bowel Obstruction Cause of Death
-
Exclusive
- 8.5K shares
4:00 PM PT -- The toxicology report findings have just been released. There were therapeutic levels of Oxycodone in her blood. A second opioid was found -- Buprenorphine -- which is to treat opioid overuse. Opioids can cause constipation, which can lead to bowel obstruction, which was the cause of her death. There were also traces of Quetiapine, an antipsychotic drug.
As for the bowel obstruction, it was in the form of a strangulated small bowel, caused by adhesions that developed after bariatric surgery (gastric bypass) years ago.
The coroner says there was no drug paraphernalia or narcotics found at her home when she was rushed to the hospital. At the hospital, Lisa Marie went into cardiac arrest. Her urine toxicology screen was negative.
The report confirms TMZ's story ... Lisa Marie had a cosmetic procedure a few months before her death, after which she was prescribed opioids, adding she had a history of "overmedicating," and she was known to forget she had taken her meds and would take them again. The report adds Lisa Marie had a history of alcohol and drug abuse.
Lisa Marie Presley died from small bowel obstruction ... this according to the L.A. County Coroner.
According to an L.A. Medical Examiner document obtained by TMZ ... the exact name of the condition is sequelae of small bowel obstruction. Translation -- Lisa Marie died of complications resulting from a small bowel obstruction.
This document is not the full report, and presumably, there will be toxicology results when that report is made public.
Since Lisa's death, there's been a lot of drama in the Presley household. Her mother, Priscilla, was in a war with Lisa's daughter, Riley Keough, over Lisa Marie's trust -- which has now been settled. Sources connected tell TMZ ... Lisa Marie's estate paid an undisclosed sum of money to Priscilla to settle the dispute. Our sources say it's in the millions.
Priscilla's attorney announced the settlement outside the courtroom after the hearing, saying ... "The families are happy. Everybody is happy and excited for the future."
As we reported, Lisa Marie was also taking weight loss meds and was fresh off of plastic surgery.
Lisa Marie passed away in January at a hospital in the L.A. area after suffering cardiac arrest.

Zayn Malik Candid About Yolanda Hadid Incident ... Handled 'The Best Way'
Zayn Malik is finally opening up about his infamous confrontation with Yolanda Hadid a couple of years ago ... and firmly believes he handled the aftermath nearly perfectly.
The singer chatted with Alex Cooper on Wednesday's episode of the "Call Her Daddy" podcast -- saying he usually keeps quiet when folks online go after him, and he'd decided to take the same approach when he was charged with harassment for the 2021 altercation.
He admits the last thing he wanted was to have an explosive back-and-forth publicly between Yolanda and him, because he wouldn't want his 2-year-old daughter, Khai -- whom he shares with Yolanda's daughter, Gigi -- to see that later in life.
Zayn said he recognizes every family has issues, but believes it should stay within the family ... of course, being a celeb almost always throws that possibility out the window.
TMZ broke the story, sources told us Zayn struck Yolanda in the Pennsylvania home he shared back then with Gigi, and he was charged with 4 criminal offenses of harassment. He eventually pled no contest.
During the altercation, Zayn allegedly called Yolanda a "f***ing Dutch slut," told her to "stay away from [my] f***ing daughter" ... and shoved her into a dresser. He denies it got physical.
November 2021
Zayn was fined and handed 360 days of probation. He also had to go through an anger management class and a domestic violence program ... and had to stay away from Yolanda.

Britney Spears Memoir Sets Release Date in October
Britney Spears is telling her story in her own words -- and this time it's not going to come via a social media rant -- she's finished her book, and it's due out this fall.
Britney's memoir, titled "The Woman In Me," is set to be released Oct 24 ... and she's already taking pre-orders for the highly-anticipated tell-all.
The book is being published by Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books, which is hailing Britney's memoir as "a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope."
The cover features a black and white photograph of a topless Britney ... folding her arms to cover her breasts.
We've also learned Britney's memoir was the reason she was in Las Vegas earlier this month ... she went to Sin City to celebrate finishing the project, but it all got derailed by the Victor Wembanyama slapping incident.
Nonetheless, she still stuck around for dinner at Catch to enjoy her latest accomplishment ... as much as she could.

In a message to fans posted Monday, Madonna says, "My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour."
Madonna goes on to say, "I also didn't want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone."
The singer says her focus will now turn to her health and getting better ... but because of that, she's delayed her July 15 start date of the Celebration tour to October in Europe.
Madonna was first supposed to start in North America -- with the show on the 15th kicking off in Vancouver -- but now it'll be her European fans who see the tour first.

Madonna Takin' a Hike in NYC!!! Following Medical Emergency
Madonna is up and about, taking a walk in NYC, although pretty clearly not ready to fire up her world tour.
The singer was substantially covered up -- wearing sunglasses and a big hat -- strolling on the Upper East Side where she lives.
She seems to be leaning on a lamppost as she waited at a red light. Nevertheless, she was taking a walk, and that's good news.
Podcaster Lauren Conlin posted the pic on her TikTok.
As we reported, Madonna was found unconscious late last month at her apartment and was rushed to the hospital. She spent several days in ICU, where doctors tried to contain a bacterial infection that had festered for a month.
We're told she was "really slow" in her movements and is taking it very easy.
Her manager has said her July 15 world tour will be delayed, although it's unclear when she'll be well enough to start.
