Ye, Cudi & Ty Dolla $ign Sued 'Kids See Ghosts' Used My Voice ... Where's My Cut, Bros?

Published | Updated

Kanye West's hit collab with Ty Dolla $ign and Kid Cudi left out another featured artist ... at least according to the guy suing all 3 rap stars for stealing his voice.

"Kids See Ghosts" dropped back in June 2018 ... big hit for Ye and co. -- but the song doesn't open with any of their voices. A guy named Ronald Oslin Bobb-Semple says the first voice you hear is his. It's a portion of a 45-minute presentation Ronald's been performing around the world for decades now ... according to the suit.

Ronald says his presentation is a tribute to Marcus Garvey, the historic pioneer for black rights in the Americas. In the suit, he points out Ye, Cudi and Ty have received accolades and "substantial profits" from "Kids See Ghosts" -- but he hasn't seen a dime.

He says it's time for all 3 men to pay the piper, and yeah ... Ronald's the piper.

He's suing for his fair cut of the 'Ghosts' profits.

Kanye West Sued EMI Shoots Down 'Servitude' Claim ... Your Contract's Legal in NY!!!

Published | Updated

Kanye West's attempts to get out of his contract with EMI are ridiculous, legally speaking, and he knows it -- especially because he's signed multiple extensions ... at least, according to the record label.

EMI is now suing Kanye in federal court over his publishing deal. According to the suit, Ye signed the contract in 2003, and received "tens of millions of dollars" from EMI as a result. The label says some of that money was paid to him after he signed 7 different modifications and/or extensions to the deal.

The twist here is that EMI says the contracts are clear that NY laws govern the deal. That's important because as we reported ... West sued EMI in California, claiming the contract amounts to "servitude" because it's a personal services contract lasting more than 7 years.

He's right ... in Cali, it would be. But, EMI points out in its lawsuit, NY State is a different story ... there's no such 7-year rule there. Plus, EMI is shooting down Kanye's claim the deal is a personal services contract.

EMI wants the court to declare the contracts are valid, and Kanye's gotta stick to it. The label also wants the court to block Kanye's lawsuit.

Jim Boeheim Speeding Before Fatal Accident ... Cops Say

Published | Updated

Cops now say Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim WAS speeding before he struck and killed a man on a NY highway last month ... but believe his speed was not a factor in the fatal crash.

According to officials ... Boeheim was going 66 mph in a 55 mph zone just 5 seconds before he hit Jorge Jimenez in Syracuse, NY around 11 PM on Feb. 20.

Jorge was taken to the hospital and later died from the injuries he suffered.

Investigators say 74-year-old Boeheim attempted to hit the brakes before slamming into Jimenez -- but couldn't avoid the collision ... only slowing to 54 mph at the moment of impact.

But, even if Boeheim was driving the speed limit, he wouldn't have been able to avoid Jimenez, cops say ... citing 2 main factors for the crash, including poor decision-making by the victim.

1) Jimenez was in a previous crash and his unlit Dodge Charger was blocking 2 lanes of traffic on a night with poor visibility due to extreme darkness.

2) Jimenez was walking on the highway after his crash in dark clothing for a prolonged period of time after being aware of oncoming vehicles on the road.

Prosecutors say they COULD have hit Boeheim with a speeding charge -- but decided not to move forward because, ultimately, this was a "tragic accident."

Boeheim has coached in every Syracuse game since the accident ... but the team has gone just 1-3 in that time frame.

Syracuse closes out its regular season with a game at Clemson on Saturday.

Shawn Oakman Gunning For NFL After Sexual Assault Acquittal

Published | Updated

Shawn Oakman is hoping NFL teams were paying attention when he was found NOT GUILTY in his rape case ... because the ex-college football star hopes to get a real shot to play pro football.

Oakman was a projected 1st-round draft pick while playing at Baylor -- where he set the school record for career sacks. But, no team wanted to touch him in the 2016 NFL Draft after he was arrested and charged with raping a woman at his apartment.

The 6'9", 265-pounder has been keeping himself in shape and playing semi-pro ball while his case was active ... but now that he was found not guilty last week, he's hoping he can make the jump to the NFL.

"I want to play football at the highest level and just really finally get my chance,” Oakman told KWTX.

"I think God will set the right path for me but I don't feel like I have to beg for anything, it's not a begging matter. I don't want anybody to hand me anything. I want to earn it and everything I get."

Oakman says he's grateful for the support he's received since the trial ... and plans to return to his old stomping grounds.

"I just want to say thank you, thank you for the people that supported me all the time. I thank Waco, I thank Baylor University and I'll see y'all very soon."

Rande Gerber & Cindy Crawford Son Presley Charged with DUI

Published | Updated

Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford's son, Presley Gerber, has officially been charged with DUI after being arrested for drunk driving earlier this year.

The L.A. District Attorney's Office filed charges Thursday against the 19-year-old model -- one count of DUI and another of driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 ... both misdemeanors. If convicted, Presley faces up to 6 months in jail and a $1,000 fine ... but the judge will usually cut a first offender some slack.

TMZ broke the story ... Presley was arrested for DUI right after New Year's Day, when cops say they pulled him over early in the morning for speeding through Beverly Hills in his Tesla. Cops say he reeked of booze, and busted him after he failed a field sobriety test.

Seeing how Presley's only 19, California law is much more strict when it comes to drinking and driving. Anything at or above .01 will get ya arrested.

Presley's lawyer, Scott Spindel, told us at the time of the arrest that his client took the allegations seriously and would take the necessary steps to deal with them.

Although young, the kid has already made a name for himself in the modeling world -- having done campaigns for Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana as well as Vogue.

'Tanked' Star Heather King Arrested for Domestic Violence ... Allegedly Slapped, Kicked Wayde

Published | Updated

The husband and wife stars of "Tanked" got into a nasty fight at home that ended with him getting roughed up and her in handcuffs ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... Heather King was arrested Wednesday in Las Vegas after she allegedly slapped her husband, Wayde, in the face and kicked him in the stomach twice during a heated argument.

We're told cops were called to their house and noticed visible redness on the right side of Wayde's stomach. He also told police when Heather drove away, he was hanging out the window of her car.

Our sources say Heather admitted to cops she slapped Wayde, but only because he wouldn't let her leave a room -- and she also denies dragging him with her car.

Heather was booked for misdemeanor domestic violence, and has been released from custody.

The couple's Animal Planet show follows Acrylic Tank Manufacturing, an aquarium company in Vegas owned by Wayde and his brother-in-law, Brett Raymer. Brett is Heather's bro, and she's the accountant.

The show has installed incredible fish tanks and aquariums into the homes of several celebs ... like Tracy Morgan, Alyssa Milano, Shaq, Neil Patrick Harris, Betty White, David Hasselhoff, Howie Mandel, and Ludacris.

Michael Cohen Sues Trump Org. ... You Flipped on Me, Financially!!!

Published | Updated

Michael Cohen says Donald Trump left him and high dry the second things got hot, and went back on a promise to cover all of Cohen's legal fees related to the Mueller investigation.

Cohen just filed a lawsuit against the Trump Organization for more than a million bucks -- money he says was supposed to be paid to his lawyers. In the suit, Cohen says shortly after he was first subpoenaed, Donald's co. agreed to cover all of his attorney's fees.

That was in July 2017, and Cohen says all seemed to be going well. In October, his attorneys got a check for $137,460 from the Trump Org. -- and that continued until May 2018. He says Trump's company eventually covered $1.7 million of his legal expenses.

But, when Trump's former right-hand man flipped in June 2018 ... the relationship soured. Funny how that goes. Trump started distancing himself from Cohen. In fact, Cohen recalls his former boss saying in June, "I haven't spoken to Michael in a long time. He's not my lawyer anymore."

According to the suit, the well ran dry that same month ... and Cohen says a total of $1,037,868 remains unpaid to his high-powered law firm. Most attorneys frown upon working for free, and Cohen says they indeed pulled out ... which hurt his case.

Remember, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison for tax fraud and campaign finance violations.

He's suing the Trump Org. for the outstanding legal tab, plus a little something for himself ... aka damages.

R. Kelly Hasn't Contacted Fam Since 2017 ... Despite Claim He's Trying

Published | Updated

7:45 AM PT-- Kelly directly addressed his failure to pay child support during his CBS interview ... and is blaming his ex-wife, Drea. He claims her "lies" about his abuse are the very reason he can't make money to pay her.

R. Kelly's lying through his teeth when he says he's trying to have a relationship with his children, because he's had a chance to for years and ignored it.

Sources close to the situation are calling BS on some of Kelly's antics with CBS News ... particularly the part of about "trying to have a relationship with my kids." We're told the singer hasn't even tried to reach out to his 3 children with his ex-wife, Drea Kelly, since 2017.

FIGHTING FOR MY KIDS

As we reported ... the singer went ballistic during his interview with Gayle King, and at one point screamed he was only trying to repair ties with his kids and didn't care about his career.

Our sources say that's all for show -- after all, we're told he changed his number and never gave it to Drea.

Speaking of Drea ... she maintains she's open to Kelly reconnecting with their children, who are adults now -- which is somewhat surprising, considering how she ripped into him in the "Surviving R. Kelly" docuseries.

Kelly's daughter, Buku Abi, also says she and her siblings have been estranged from their father for years. Although, she called him a "monster" ... Kelly, ironically, chalks that up to brainwashing from Drea.

Either way, Kelly has definitely come up short with his kids when it comes to child support ... which is why he was arrested again Wednesday. As we reported, he'll need to fork over more than $161k to Drea to be released.

We're told when he appeared before the judge, his legal team pitched a payment plan option ... but it didn't fly.

Taylor Swift Rooftop Break-in!!! NYC Burglar Returns

Published | Updated

3/8 6:30 AM PT -- A judge set Alvarado's bail at $30,000 cash or $75,000 bond.

A guy who's clearly Taylor Swift-obsessed is in custody after going full cat burglar, allegedly ... he was busted after climbing onto her roof and kicking in a door, and it's not his first time on the premises.

Law enforcement tells TMZ ... Roger Alvarado managed to get on the roof of Taylor's Tribeca pad early Thursday morning -- around 2 AM -- but once he busted down a door to gain entry her alarm system sounded. We're told Taylor's security team reacted immediately, calling cops to the scene.

Alvarado was arrested on the scene, which has gotta feel like deja vu for him. NYPD nabbed him last April at this same residence. You might recall, this is the guy who actually took a shower in Taylor's pad before he was busted last year.

In December, he pled guilty to attempted burglary and criminal contempt. He was sentenced to 6 months in jail -- and was credited with time served since he'd been behind bars since the original April arrest -- and 5 years probation.

Taylor was not home at the time, and Alvarado is still in custody.

R. Kelly Team to Arrange Meeting Between Joycelyn and Savage Family

Published | Updated

Joycelyn Savage will finally be reunited with her family, and R. Kelly's team is actually making it happen.

The Savages' family attorney, Gerald Griggs, tells TMZ ... a new member of R. Kelly's team, who the family had not spoken to previously, agreed to arrange for Joycelyn to meet with her family members face-to-face sometime early next week.

Griggs says the agreement is tentative for now, because they haven't locked down a specific date, time or location ... but we're told they're looking at Monday or Tuesday. Griggs also tells us the Savages made it clear they wanted to meet in a neutral city outside of Chicago.

If the meeting does take place -- and the Savages believe it will -- we're told they plan to bring a psychologist along to evaluate Joycelyn.

TALKING WITH JOYCELYN

Joycelyn's parents and siblings had a conference call with her Wednesday, just hours before R. Kelly was arrested for failing to pay back child support. A lot of people are saying Joycelyn sounded like she was reading from a script during the conversation. However, she maintains that she's fine, happy and exactly where she wants to be.

The potential meetup is HUGE news, considering the Savages have been trying to move mountains to get some face time with their daughter after years without direct contact.

Joycelyn is alleged to be one of R. Kelly's "sex slaves," and we're told the change of heart might have something to do with the fact that R. Kelly's legal sitch isn't looking good.

Griggs says the Savages were assured by this new R. Kelly team member that they'd be in touch soon with specifics.

'Shahs of Sunset' Star Sues Woman ... I Didn't Slip You Date Rape Drug!!!

Published | Updated

"Shahs of Sunset" star Shervin Roohparvar is suing a woman he claims is trying to extort him for hundreds of thousands of dollars after alleging he tried to slip her a date rape drug.

According to new legal docs -- obtained by TMZ -- Shervin says he met up with the woman in Vegas last December after the two connected on social media.

Shervin claims they met at his hotel, had a drink and chatted before he told her he had to get ready for a business engagement. He claims the woman, without warning, started shouting obscenities -- accusing him of slipping her a drug -- and bolted from the room.

The lawsuit alleges the woman also told cops he'd drugged her, but cops took no action against him. About a month after the confrontation, Shervin says he got a letter from her agent threatening to rat him out to production companies about the incidents unless he forked over $350k.

Shervin is suing the woman for the alleged extortion.

R. Kelly New Allegations Surface ... On the Heels of Arrest

Published | Updated

7:27 PM PT -- It's turning out to be a long day for Kelly. Chief James Craig of the Detroit PD just confirmed to TMZ that roughly a month ago they got information from Chicago PD about an alleged victim, "who made allegations of a criminal sexual conduct incident against R. Kelly."

He states the incident potentially occurred in Detroit back in 2001 -- when the alleged victim was 13. They are currently working on following up with her and her attorney.

2:19 PM PT -- R. Kelly has just been led away in handcuffs.

2:03 PM PT -- The Cook County Sheriff's Office tells TMZ ... R. Kelly's headed to jail for failure to pay child support. He'll need to cough up the full amount of dough to be released.

1:35 PM PT -- Deputies just escorted R. Kelly out of the courtroom, and he's been arrested. No official word from court, but it would appear he didn't cough up the $161k.

11:52 AM PT -- R. Kelly just showed up to court in a black sprinter van accompanied by his legal team. We're told the child support hearing is set to begin any minute now.

R. Kelly's dangerously close to heading right back to Cook County jail for failing to pay more than $160k in child support.

Sources connected to the embattled singer tell us Kelly hasn't covered the $161,633 he owes to his ex-wife, Drea Kelly, and his deadline is today ... Wednesday at 10 AM Central Time. If Kelly doesn't settle up with the court by then, he can be hauled off to jail.

FIGHTING FOR MY KIDS

Ironically, Kelly ranted and sobbed to CBS about wanting a relationship with his kids. That interview was taped Tuesday, and we're told he had not paid at that point.

TMZ broke the story ... Kelly actually owes Drea nearly $200k, all told, and he's known since last month he had to pay the minimum amount of $161k by March 6.

Additionally, the D.A. could charge him criminally for failure to pay the support. Any amount over $20k is a felony.

We've reached out to Kelly's attorney, but no word back.

'RHOA' Star Peter Thomas Set to be Freed from Jail ... Settles Bad Check Case

Published | Updated

'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Peter Thomas is THIS close to getting sprung from a Florida jail ... following his arrest for allegedly writing a bad check in Louisiana.

TMZ broke the story ... Peter was busted Friday after getting off a plane at Miami Intl. Airport. The arrest stemmed from an outstanding warrant in Louisiana, where he was wanted for allegedly writing a $4k check that bounced.

But now, the St. John the Baptist Parish District Attorney's Office tells TMZ ... Peter's resolved the matter after his attorney paid the guy $4k. Because he squared away the debt, the D.A.'s Office will not move forward with the case.

We're told Peter is still in custody in Miami but the D.A.'s in the process of notifying the Sheriff's Office, and Peter will soon be set free. Peter's attorney, Keith A. Doley, tells TMZ, "This appears to have been a very big misunderstanding on several people's part and It was not a malicious intent on Mr. Thomas’ end."

Peter -- who infamously pulled a knife on Kenya Moore's ex, Matt Jordan, back in 2017 -- told us the allegations were false and he had no doubt he'll be acquitted from any wrongdoing.

Looks like he was right.

R. Kelly Loses It In Interview ... Gayle King Explains Her Poise

Published | Updated

3/6 9:20 AM PT -- We got Gayle Wednesday leaving CBS Studios in NYC just hours after the network released her explosive one-on-one interview with R. Kelly. Our photog asks her point blank if she feels like R. Kelly was telling her the truth, and more importantly ... whether she thought she was in danger when he stood up and started shouting.

Check out her answer -- she says she thinks R. Kelly has "selective amnesia." And, it sounds like there's a reason why she was able to remain so poised when R. Kelly lost his s***.

3/6 8:35 AM PT -- We spoke with Joycelyn Savage's father, Tim Savage, in Atlanta who says after watching the interview, he fears for his daughter's life. He also says the behaviors exhibited by Kelly during his sit-down with Gayle are clear signs of an abuser.

TALKING WITH JOYCELYN

The Savage family also spoke with Joycelyn after their presser and they all crowded around the phone to speak with her. Joycelyn, however, insisted she is exactly where she wants to be, and does not consider herself a victim.

3/6 6:08 AM PT -- CBS just aired the part of the interview where Kelly gets up and shouts ... he yells he's fighting not only for his own rights, but to have a relationship with his kids too. There were also claims Kelly was abused as a child, and that's why this has all happened ... Kelly denies it.

I SEE THROUGH THE TEARS

Attorney Michael Avenatti ain't buying Kelly's emotional interview. Remember, Avenatti uncovered the new sex tapes which led to prosecutors charging Kelly last month -- and Tuesday night he told us the singer's only crying crocodile tears now ... 'cause he's going to prison.

R. Kelly was distraught talking about the recent allegations against him and pleading for people to believe he's innocent ... shouting, "I'm fighting for my f***ing life!"

Kelly sat down with Gayle King Tuesday in his first interview since he was arrested on 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse. King presses Kelly on the recent allegations, and clearly hits a soft spot when asked if Kelly has ever held women against their will.

The singer explodes, looking directly into the camera and urging viewers to believe it's all lies. Kelly points to his past -- cases in which he's been accused of inappropriate sexual acts -- as proof he'd never commit a crime again, knowing all eyes were on him.

At one point, Kelly begins to sob, saying, "I'm fighting for my f***ing life!"

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

As we reported ... Kelly was taken into custody February 22 in Chicago and spent several days behind bars before coming up with his $100,000 bail. Upon his release, the singer hit up a local McDonald's. He's also still on the hook for nearly $200,000 in child support.

The full interview will air Wednesday morning on "CBS This Morning."

Ryan Seacrest to Blac Chyna Leave Me Outta Your Drama w/ Kardashians!!!

Published | Updated

Ryan Seacrest's got a message for Blac Chyna ... her mess with the Kardashians has nothing to do with him so leave him the hell alone.

Ryan's legal team has filed new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, explaining why he should NOT be forced to sit down for a deposition by Blac Chyna's team. As we've reported ... BC sued the Kardashian klan claiming they threatened to yank 'KUWTK' from E! if the network didn't cancel "Rob & Chyna."

BC's fight has now spilled onto Ryan's table ... first by going to his company asking for tons of docs. Ryan's team says it provided more than 800 pages to prove he's not directly connected to her case.

But, she's not taking the hint. Ryan's team argues BC trying to depose him is an attempt to harass and burden him. Ryan's legal team is also adamant ... Ryan has zero relevant testimony to offer.

Chyna begs to differ ... saying Ryan congratulated Rob with a tweet on the pickup of a second season. Ryan's team says BC's team has failed to articulate how Ryan's single tweet directly connects him to personally being involved in the show.

And, get this ... for wasting his time with this legal mess, Ryan wants her to fork over $2,460 for his troubles.

Ex-NFL DL Barry Cofield Avoids Jail Time In Wild Heroin & Cop-Ramming Case

Published | Updated

Ex-NY Giants stud Barry Cofield will NOT go to jail after he smashed into cop cars last summer during a wild police chase while allegedly carrying heroin in his pocket ... TMZ Sports has learned.

As we previously reported, the Super Bowl XLII champ found himself in HUGE trouble after cops say they found the 34-year-old passed out behind the wheel of a Cadillac Escalade around 2:40 AM on July 3.

Cops say the 6'4", 250-pounder drove like a maniac ... ramming into cars and leading police on a dangerous pursuit.

Eventually, cops say they used a squad car to block Cofield in -- but he even tried to ram through that!!!

That's when cops got out of their cars and tried to smash Cofield's window in an effort to drag him out of the driver's seat. Cofield ultimately surrendered -- and cops say during the arrest they found two small baggies of heroin in his pocket.

Cops also say Cofield reeked of alcohol.

Cofield was hit with several severe charges, including heroin possession, assaulting an officer, DUI, resisting arrest and fleeing from police.

But, court docs show Cofield got those charges reduced to just heroin possession and DUI causing damage or injury ... and now we've learned he won't spend any more time behind bars for the incident.

Cofield reached a plea agreement with prosecutors, entering a no contest plea to both counts ... in exchange for some fairly light punishments.

Regarding the heroin possession ... if Cofield completes a drug court program -- the charge will likely be dropped by the state, barring any other trouble for the star.

As for the DUI count ... Cofield was hit with 12 months probation, a $500 fine, 50 hours of community service, DUI school, a victim awareness panel, a 6-month driver's license suspension, a 10-day vehicle impound, random drug testing and a ton of fines.

All in all, not bad for a guy who was facing 5 YEARS behind bars.

Cofield was a key piece for the Giants' D-line from 2006 through 2010 ... ultimately helping the G-men beat the undefeated Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.

Cofield also played 4 years for the Washington Redskins ... and tallied 310 combined tackles in 138 career NFL games.
