Jamie Spears withstood a fierce challenge by ex-wife Lynne Spears in the conservatorship battle over Britney ... TMZ has learned.

Sources with knowledge of Wednesday's court hearing tell TMZ, Lynne wanted Jamie out as conservator, but the judge rejected her claims. Lynne felt Jamie had done a poor job ... something she's been saying since the Free Britney movement last spring.

The judge decided Jamie should continue on as conservator of Britney's estate, meaning all of her business affairs. As we reported, Jamie has temporarily bowed out of handling the other part of the conservatorship -- taking care of Britney, her medical needs and so on. The case manager Jamie hired -- Jodi Montgomery -- has been appointed conservator until January, and that's when Jamie will retake the reins. He is still taking care of all of her business affairs.

Jamie has said he's temporarily stepping down because of medical issues, but we know another reason is that there's currently a restraining order that prohibits him from having any contact with Britney's kids -- this after he allegedly put his hands on 14-year-old Sean.

There are a few complications. We're told Britney hasn't spoken to Jamie since last month when the incident went down between him and Sean. Several sources say they actually weren't speaking even before that.

And, there's this. Several sources say Britney is not doing well. As one source put it, "She goes through cycles, and hopefully we're at the bottom now." We posted this video Friday of Britney at an awards ceremony for boyfriend Sam, and she was so uncomfortable she beelined it for the car before even walking into the event.

Kanye West wants his presence in Wyoming to be known far and wide -- it looks like he's hosting a mega Sunday Service this week, inviting all the townsfolk and their mom.

Ye's forthcoming Service is taking place at the Powwow Garden of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming -- where Kanye now owns a massive waterfront property, aptly named Monster Lake Ranch. Per local reports, the sign now reads "West Lake."

We already know he and Kim have made themselves at home -- getting acquainted with the local wildlife, to the chagrin of the Wyoming Game & Fish Dept. Now, it looks like Kanye wants to properly introduce the Wests to the community, 'cause his Sunday Service is being heavily advertised on a massive digital billboard, as well as on social media.

According to the venue's Facebook post about it, he's bringing out his "80-person choral group" for the performance -- so yeah, Kanye and co. are pulling out all the stops.

Preparations are currently underway for the free and public event, and it looks like they're expecting quite a turnout. Photos obtained by TMZ show a bunch of tents being set up Saturday ahead of Ye's Sunday Service, with catering and special event trucks in tow.

The Powwow Garden has a capacity of about 700 people -- 200 seated or 700 standing according to the Center's website -- but it's unclear how many people will actually show up. FYI, there are less than 10,000 people total living in Cody itself.

It's an interesting move on Kanye's part, as many of his Sunday Services of late have been relatively low-key -- not including the Chicago stop, of course. This appears to be the exact opposite of that -- pretty much a come one, come all approach.

DaBaby seems to have handled his own business for once instead of resorting to goons -- 'cause he appears to have thrown a punch at a handsy fan.

The North Carolina rapper -- who's been blowing up these past few months -- was performing Friday night as a headliner at the Prime Festival in Lansing, MI ... where at one point in the show, he seemed to hurl his fist (sloppily) at a guy in the front row.

DB probably had good reason to swat at him though ... looks like the dude got his paws on his chain, and might've even been trying to tug on it and snatch it away.

In video of the altercation, obtained by TMZ, DaBaby is below the stage level and face-to-face with the crowd, where only a barricade separates them. We're told DB was doing his thing, when someone close by reached up and made contact with his jewelry.

Well, DaBaby noticed and paused to throw a punch -- although, it's unclear if it landed properly or even made contact with the guy. After that, eyewitnesses tell us DaBaby hopped back onstage and finished out his 30-minute set ... immediately leaving the stage.

We're told nobody called cops and no one appeared to be injured -- so no harm, no foul really. That's good, considering DB has a bit of a track record being around beatdowns, allegedly at the hands of his entourage with him looking on.

While he did take credit for a beating at a mall once, after a dude relentlessly heckled him, it was not clear at the time if he'd handled the fella himself or not. Fast-forward to early August, when another fan got a thrashing ... and DB had his hands clean there too.

Now, it appears DaBaby took a swing on his own -- in clear view, without any convenient edits. Whether it's him or the homies, it's clear ... DB WILL come at ya. Take note, y'all.

This whole Area 51 thing kinda fizzled, but at least unseen aliens could enjoy a small, freaky dance party.

DJ/producer Paul Oakenfold performed at a festival called Storm Area 51 Basecamp. Thing is ... it wasn't anywhere near Area 51 Alien Center. Event organizers bailed on that idea and brought a free music festival to Vegas.

The dance party was a separate, 2-day event held at the Alien Research Center ... a souvenir shop 100 miles out of Vegas. Before the dance party, there was a screening of the movie, "Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers."

The original plan was for millions of people to storm Area 51 to "see them aliens." Millions didn't show up ... not even close -- more like a light sprinkle.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was rat material from the start, and now he's going to get what's coming to him ... so says Rap-A-Lot Records honcho J. Prince.

Prince claims "clown" Tekashi's recent testimony -- specifically the part about an attempted robbery of Rap-A-Lot reps last year in NYC -- is a bunch of lies.

The rap boss says he's been warning everyone for awhile ...  that if Tekashi "keeps campaigning with dumb sh*t that he was gonna get elected! Election Day has come and now I’m hearing lies he’s telling under oath about robbing me or representatives of #Rapalot."

J. Prince adds ... "If him or any of those clowns were to try to rob me or anyone from the #Rapalot family bad news would’ve beat them home."

In case you missed it ... during day 2 of 6ix9ine's snitch-fest, he detailed how his relationship with his former gang, the Nine Trey Bloods, began to sour.

He claims he was denied entry to a Houston gig in March 2018 by Rap-A-Lot peeps because he didn't "check in," and it cost him money. As revenge for the diss, the Nine Treys planned to rob J. Prince's people a month later in New York ... and Tekashi says they pulled off an armed robbery on Rap-A-Lot reps in the lobby of a building.

J. Prince says Tekashi's version of events isn't how it went down, and the gig he got turned away from was his son's party ... because they simply didn't want him there.

He says ... "Let this be a lesson to those who know better to do better because there was never a question mark in my mind that this kid #takashi69  was rat material that’s why my sons didn’t allow him to come into their party. It was never about a rat checking in with us."

As for that robbery ... Tekashi testified he was outside in a parked car while his former manager, Shotti, and other members did it. Surveillance footage of the incident was played in court.

Lil Nas X coming out is going to spark change in the hip-hop community ... so says Ty Herndon, who thinks Lil Nas' bravery will make it easier for others in the industry to be themselves.

We got Ty before his Thursday night set at Rockwell Table and Stage, and our guy asked if the country music veteran thinks Lil Nas X will help other gay hip-hop artists feel comfortable and accepted enough to come out.

Ty's the first male country musician to reveal he's gay, which is why he says he knows times are a changin'. He flat-out believes ... in Nashville, your sexuality doesn't matter anymore -- and he thinks Lil Nas can bring that same change in hip-hop.

TMZ broke the story ... the "Old Town Road" rapper became inspired to share his truth with the world at the end of Pride Month after performing with Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus in front of a MASSIVE crowd in England.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have a lot to learn about living in Wyoming -- where the deer and the antelope play ... but they can't play with Ye.

The couple was issued a slight scolding over a video Kim posted last weekend, in which it appears Kanye's taking them for an ATV ride across the range ... as he chases some pronghorns, AKA American antelope.

At one point it sounds like Kim shouts, "I think you're scaring them!!!" ... and she's probably right ... which is why there are laws against it.

A spokesperson for the Wyoming Game & Fish Dept. tells TMZ ... State laws prohibit this type of animal harassment. We're told the department was made aware of Kim's video and paid a visit to the manager of Kanye's new ranch to make sure everyone is aware of the rules pertaining to wildlife.

We spoke with a source close to the couple who tell us they were simply cruising along when the animals came running by ... Kim and Kanye came to a slow soon after the vid and let the pronghorns on their way. We're told it wasn't a chase ... and they never disturbed the animals.

The good news for Kanye and Kim ... this can simply be considered a lesson learned. We're told no formal complaint was filed against them -- only angry calls -- so there's currently no investigation into the incident.

If there were, the couple could get slapped with a citation and a $435 fine.

We broke the story ... Kanye plunked down some serious cash for the property just outside Cody, Wyoming -- called Monster Lake Ranch -- which includes 8 lodging units, 2 fresh water lakes, a restaurant, an event center, and lots of barns, corrals and horses.

The asking price was $14 million for 4,500 acres, and while we know he didn't pay full price ... it's still a lot of money.

The plan for millions of people to storm Area 51 to "see them aliens" ended up being just a light sprinkle, attended by those who didn't care the plan was aborted ... or just missed the memo.

A small crowd of alien enthusiasts showed up at the entrance of the Nevada Test and Training Range near the super-secret military base late Thursday ... equipped with signs, masks and inflatable green aliens.

The tiny group gathering was a pretty hilarious and fitting button to the 'Storm Area 51' saga -- aka, an internet joke that got taken way too seriously.

As we told you ... the event planners, Matty Roberts and Frank DiMaggio, got folks hyped with a Facebook page invite to go searching for aliens, but changed course when it became clear law enforcement and the military wasn't messing around with any such raid.

Matty and Frank pivoted quickly and put on a free music festival in Sin City instead ... and that went off without a hitch Thursday night in Downtown Las Vegas.

Justin Bieber had a needle in his arm as he walked the streets of Beverly Hills, but it's actually the picture of health.

Justin cruised out of a medical building Wednesday and Thursday with an IV bag, our sources tell us he was there for a vitamin drip.

In case you didn't know ... aside from curing hangovers, vitamin drips improve immune health, boost energy levels, abate depression and anxiety, improve mental clarity and cognative function, reduce migraine symptoms, combat fatigue and maintain muscle strength.

And, there's more TMZ-MD, the IV's typically contain high doses of vitamin C or magnesium.

One treatment often costs around $120.

It's not without danger. Kendall Jenner was hospitalized last year after she had a bad reaction to a vitamin IV drip.

Aaron Carter's family thinks they have the perfect plan in place to get their brother some serious help, but the truth is ... they don't.

Carter family sources tell TMZ ... their hope is that the protective order recently filed by Aaron's brother, Nick, is the ticket they need to get an appointment with a judge. From there, they hope to convince the judge to force Aaron into treatment.

Thing is ... there's no way legally a judge can do anything other than order Aaron to stay clear of Nick. Aaron is an adult and the decision to get help is vested in him and him alone. If he doesn't want help, there's almost nothing the family can do.

There is one thing ... in extreme, extreme cases, the family could go to court and ask for a conservatorship, where a conservator could essentially force treatment and remove any dangers from the home, like firearms. As we've extensively reported, that was the case with Britney Spears and Amanda Bynes, but in order for this to happen, there must be compelling proof the person in question can't care for themselves.

That said, our sources say Aaron's erratic behavior has set off alarm bells within his family, and they believe he's in the grip of a mental psychosis. Aaron's been publicly shaming his brother and dead sister, and his fam thinks it's a huge red flag.

Sources say Aaron's family members were behind the attempts to place him on several psychiatric holds ... something he hinted at on "TMZ Live." We're told they've also reported him to the ATF in hopes of getting his guns taken away. So far, no dice.

We broke the story ... Aaron says he's giving up his assault rifles, but not his pistol and shotgun.

As you know ... Aaron was on "The Doctors" recently, rattling off a laundry list of what he's been diagnosed with -- bipolar disorder and schizophrenia -- and showing off his medications. However, he's since walked back those claims.

Our sources say Aaron's family reached back out to "The Doctors" to see if they could get him help, but we're told Aaron refused an offer to meet with a psychologist. Fact is ... the show can't force AC to accept any kind of help.

TMZ broke the story, Nick Carter and his wife got a restraining order against Aaron earlier this week. Nick says he needed court-ordered protection from his little bro because he claimed Aaron told their sister, "I have thoughts of killing babies."

The Detroit Youth Choir is still feeling good after finishing second on "America's Got Talent" ... so good in fact, they're singing like winners and seeking a collab with some huge acts.

We got the kids and their director at LAX Thursday as they headed back to Michigan after their performance on the 'AGT' finale, and the group was anything but sour about taking home the silver.

DYC tipped its cap to the new 'AGT' champ, Kodi Lee, but to prove how proud they are of themselves, they gave us a taste of what got 'em so far. They busted out a few acapella bars of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' hit song, "Can't Hold Us."

Tekashi69's ex-bodyguard threatened to shoot him as he snatched the rapper from his chauffeur-driven ride ... and the whole ordeal was captured on video.

The dash cam video starts as a car smashes into the back of the SUV carrying Tekashi --  he was sitting in the front passenger seat -- and then 2 men were at Tekashi's door forcing him out of the vehicle. Tekashi tried to put up a bit of a fight but not for long.

You hear Anthony "Harv" Ellison -- 6ix9ine's ex-bodyguard -- barking orders like, "Give me your money" and "Get in the car. We gonna shoot you!"

Prosecutors played the dash cam footage of the July 2018 incident in federal court where 6ix9ine is testifying against 2 members of his former gang, the Nine Trey Bloods -- one of them being Ellison.

Ellison, and at least one other man, stuffed Tekashi -- whose real name is Daniel Hernandez -- into their car and drove off. In the dash cam video -- from Tekashi's driver's SUV -- you can see his driver attempted to follow Ellison's car for a few blocks, but eventually sped off to go find a police officer to help.

Ellison went to Tekashi's home, and surveillance footage -- obtained by the feds -- shows Tekashi's girlfriend handing over a bag of money and jewelry to Ellison's crew.

As we reported, Tekashi was eventually released, but not before they pistol-whipped him ... landing him in the hospital.

At the time, many people thought the kidnapping was a PR stunt -- but Tekashi came on "TMZ Live" and insisted it was real, and claimed someone had set him up.

Ellison and Aljermiah "Nuke" Mack are on trial right now for racketeering, and Tekashi is in the middle of his third day of testifying -- snitching on Ellison, Mack, and several other of members of the gang.

He's cooperating with the feds as part of a plea deal to get a reduced sentence in his own case. Tekashi had been facing a minimum of 47 years in prison.

Moon Zappa says a "delusional" fan of her famous dad is harassing and threatening her so badly ... she's had to run to court for protection.

Frank Zappa's daughter filed for a restraining order Thursday in L.A. County against a man who's allegedly been stalking and threatening her since 2000. She says way back then the FBI got involved because the man made a death threat against her.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Moon says the written death threat said, "I have made plans to murder Moon Zappa. If you want to stop me, contact me now. I know where she is. I know how to get at her. Pumpkins will be barking at that time. I have time on my hands. And soon blood as well."

Moon says she got a restraining order back in 2001 and changed her address -- but her fears were reignited last week when the man showed up on her doorstep on 9/11. She says he handed her a $50 million lawsuit involving a "delusional vendetta" against her.

According to the docs, Moon says the "delusional fanatic" believes she and her father stole lyrics from him way back in the late 1970s. Moon now fears not only for herself, but also for her daughter's safety.

Aaron Carter is adamant he has a right and a need to have guns -- but he now says assault weapons are overkill so he's giving them up.

Aaron tells TMZ, he believed cops were going to come to his home Wednesday and seize his guns, because his brother, Nick, got a restraining order against him and Aaron thought that would trigger a gun seizure. So, he says he beat Nick to the punch and called the cops himself on Wednesday.

Aaron says cops came to his home and assured him they were not going to take his guns away just because there was a restraining order. Nevertheless, he gave L.A. County Sheriff's deputies his 2 assault rifles to hold for him, because he's just hit the road for some concerts and is worried someone might break into his home and steal them.

But, there's more ... Aaron tells us when he returns he's going to get rid of his assault rifles for good -- maybe sell them to the gun shop he bought them from.

Aaron says he wants protection and he's going to keep a pistol and a shotgun, but he says he's off assault rifles for good.

One other thing ... the reason he says he gave cops the assault weapons while he was on the road is because he doesn't have a proper safe, but he says he's getting one quickly to secure the weapons he keeps.

Shawn Mendes says his relationship with Camila Cabello's the real deal, but when it comes to whether they're using the L word ... let's just say he's taking a gentlemanly approach.

The "Senorita" singer was at LAX Wednesday when a pap asked him point-blank about all the PDA with CC -- specifically when they showed off their sloppy kissing style last week.

Shawn says that was a little bit of a joke (we know, we saw them laughing through it), but then he makes it clear they are very serious about each other when he addresses the "meet the parents" question.

As for all the speculation the pop stars are only together for good publicity, Mendes speaks up to shut that down. However, when the photog asked if they're at the "I love you" stage of their relationship -- he was way less talkative.
