Pennsylvania Escaped Prisoner Breaks Into Home, Steals Rifle ... Resident Opens Fire At Him
The manhunt for the escaped Pennsylvania prisoner Danelo Cavalcante just got a whole lot crazier … the killer reportedly broke into a house and got shot at while stealing a rifle.
On Monday night, Cavalcante forced his way inside the home in East Nantmeal Township, a tiny village in rural PA, according to Fox 29 Philadelphia.
The outlet reported the resident pulled a gun and fired 7 shots at someone who fit the description of Cavalcante. The burglar got the hell out of dodge, but not before he swiped the .22 Caliber rifle from inside the house.
Investigators could not confirm if the man believed to be Cavalcante was injured but said his sneakers might have been found nearby. Police now consider Cavalcante armed and dangerous, closing a school due to the threat he poses.
The frightening development comes as TMZ broke the story … Dog the Bounty Hunter might join authorities in their massive search for the convicted murderer, who was sentenced to a life term after fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend in 2021.
Hundreds of officers, part of a fugitive task force, are looking in every nook and cranny across the state for Cavalcante. There have been a number of sightings over the past week or so, but none of them have led to his capture.
Cavalcante made his getaway August 31 when he scaled a wall in the recreational yard at Chester County Prison. He climbed over razor wire, ran across a roof and jumped to the ground below, winning his freedom.
Let's hope that's only temporary.

Dog the Bounty Hunter Eyeing PA Inmate Manhunt ... Could Join Search Soon

Dog the Bounty Hunter wants to dive into the manhunt underway in Pennsylvania -- where a fugitive murderer is at large after a prison break -- but a few things need to happen first.
Sources close to the reality star tell TMZ that Dog's been monitoring the Danelo Cavalcante case for a while now -- pretty much ever since this guy broke out of prison almost 2 weeks ago -- and we're told he's actively keeping tabs on any developments.
What that actually amounts to ... our sources say Dog has been making a lot of phone calls over the past several days -- both to law enforcement sources he knows in PA and contacts he has elsewhere -- in order to get up to speed on the situation.
The big takeaway here, though, is the fact we're hearing Dog is actually considering flying out to Chester County as early as this week to get boots on the ground in the search for Danelo.
However, before he actually does ... we're told Dog feels like he needs a better sense of the lay of the land, as it doesn't sound like he's all that familiar with that area, specifically. But, if he can get a proper plan together, our sources say he's likely to head out and start looking.
This story is growing by the day, 'cause it's insane. This dude -- who's a convicted murderer -- broke out of Chester County prison via crab-walk, and then fled into the surrounding wooded area ... namely, Longwood Gardens, which encompasses nearly 200 acres.
As we reported, a man believed to be Cavalcante broke into and stole a rifle from a PA home Monday night ... it's currently unknown if he's injured, but he's now considered armed and dangerous.
He's also been spotted a handful of times over the past week and change -- popping up in Ring doorbell cameras, plus eyewitness sightings -- but he's eluded the cops thus far. If Dog pulls the trigger, he might have a world-renowned human tracker hot on his tail too.

"Pawn Stars" cast member Corey Harrison had bloodshot eyes, a blank stare, and reeked like booze during his DUI traffic stop ... so says the cop who busted the reality star.
TMZ broke the story, Harrison was arrested for DUI early Friday morning in Vegas on his way home. According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, Corey was driving his white Ford F250 pickup and unable to maintain his lane ... at times swerving into the bike lane.
Cops say when they pulled Corey over and made contact, he smelled like booze and had bloodshot eyes, but explained his truck sometimes pulls to the right.
The report states officers gave Corey a field sobriety test and asked he provide a blood or breath sample. When Corey allegedly replied he should "probably ask for his lawyer" the officer informed him they'd get a search warrant for his blood, and if he did refuse his driver's license would be revoked.
Corey eventually agreed to provide a breath sample, but the report states the breathalyzer at the jail was broken, so Corey allowed his blood to be drawn. The report does not state the results of the blood sample, but Corey was booked for DUI.
We spoke to Corey Friday, hours after his arrest who also informed us of the busted breathalyzer. Corey told us he'd recently flown back into town after a trip to Minnesota, but only had one drink on the flight ... 7 hours before his arrest.

Kevin Federline $40k a Month in Child Support Isn't Fair ... I've Got the Kids 100% of the Time
-

- 5.6K shares
Kevin Federline is thinking of going to court to ask for an increase in child support from Britney Spears ... because he never bargained on having the kids full-time when they hashed out the terms of support.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Kevin gets $40k a month for the 2 kids he shares with Britney -- Jayden James and Sean Preston. The amount is predicated on each having the kids 50% of the time. The reality -- Britney has had the kids 0% of the time for years.
Sean Preston turns 18 in a couple of weeks, so the support will end for one of the boys. However, Jayden's will stay intact until around June 2025, when he graduates high school. So realistically, $20k is the relevant amount if Kevin asks for an increase ... but that amount could balloon if he proves he needs more money for 100% of Jayden's care.
As we reported, Kevin, his sons, and his wife, Victoria, all moved to Hawaii last month ... a decision Britney ultimately didn't fight in court.
Kevin encouraged Sean Preston and Jayden to see their mom but wasn't gonna force them. They passed on saying goodbye. The kids haven't seen her going on 2 years.
We reached out to Kevin's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan. So far, no word back.

Zach Bryan's praises are being sung by an organization that advocates for cops nationwide ... this after the country singer apologized for his behavior during his recent arrest.
Retired Sgt. Betsy Branter Smith, a spokesperson for nonprofit org National Police Association, tells TMZ ... what officers appreciate is that Zach came out quickly to say sorry for what went down, adding his apology felt very earnest.
Smith isn't alone here -- she says other cops she's talked to are feeling the same thing about Zach's apology.
According to Smith, it isn't uncommon for officers to run into folks with an entitled attitude, similar to Bryan. But, she's grateful a celeb of Bryan's status is showing it's okay to admit fault and say they support the police.
TMZ was first to obtain the report dash cam footage of Bryan's arrest, where he stated, "f***ing cops are out of hand, truly," and stated the officers were a bunch of middle-aged white dudes arresting people.
Sgt. Smith is letting Bryan's comments slide, though, adding, "This is a very frustrated young man and he had some inappropriate things to say, but he complied with the officers. He didn't try to fight them or attack them. He mouthed off. And he apologized."
She says some country stars have lately been speaking out against law enforcement, so Zach's apology video was refreshing -- moving forward, Smith hopes he'll use his status to help support American police officers.
As we reported, Zach took all the blame in his explanation video ... posted after his dramatic arrest that went down in Oklahoma on Thursday.

Kim Zolciak's estranged husband Kroy Biermann is begging her to sign off on the sale of their Georgia mansion, and according to a process server, he may have gotten his wish!!!
In new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, a process server tasked with delivering a lawsuit to Kim says they faced a significant hurdle in trying to give her the legal papers ... arriving to her home and getting info she had allegedly moved.
The process server claims he went to Kim and Kroy's mansion Thursday morning and spoke with someone at the home who identified themselves as a resident. The process server claims an unidentified man told them he had "just purchased the property."

Danny Masterson Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis Sent Letters to Judge ... Vouching for 'Dear Friend' Before Sentencing
Danny Masterson had 2 of his "That '70s Show" costars in his corner ahead of his sentencing ... Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis wrote letters of support for the actor.
The letters, obtained by Tony Ortega, were sent to Judge Olmedo before Masterson received his 30-year to life sentence in L.A. -- and both outlined the long-running friendship they've shared with the actor, going back to them working together on the sitcom.
Ashton says, "Danny has been nothing but a positive influence on me. He's an extraordinarily honest and intentional human being." He goes on to gush over Masterson's ability to be there for him over the years, citing Masterson as the reason why he never slipped into the "typical Hollywood life of drugs."
He even recalls a time when Masterson came to a random woman's defense as she was getting berated by her boyfriend at a pizza parlor, ending the letter by saying, "having his daughter raised without a present father would [be] a tertiary injustice in and of itself."
Mila echoed Ashton's claims, adding it has been a "privilege" to be a part of Masterson's life ... and saying his role as a dad and husband has been "nothing short of extraordinary."
As we reported, Masterson was sentenced to three decades behind bars on Thursday for his two rape convictions.
His team told us they spotted "a number of significant evidentiary and constitutional issues" in the trial and will be bringing up these arguments on appeal. We also learned he's being watched like a hawk while locked up for signs of mental distress.
We covered the story on the latest episode of The TMZ Podcast, available on all podcast platforms.

7:03 PM PT -- A rep for Threlkel Botanicals tells TMZ ... "On Monday, August 28th, Jeff Sophir, owner of Jim Threlkel Botanicals, was contacted by Lisa Hochstein, a long-term client and good friend, to relocate several interior botanicals from her current residence to a new property. During the scheduled relocation, Mr. Hochstein arrived at the property, verbally berated Jim Threlkel staff and blocked their vehicle with his car while threatening to contact local law enforcement.
"Instead, Mr. Sophir contacted law enforcement and they were dispatched to the property. Mr. Hochstein was ordered to leave the premises and the botanicals in question were subsequently removed."
Famed plastic surgeon Lenny Hochstein is dragging a Florida plant store to court ... claiming the company made off with a bunch of plants from his home, years after he paid for them.
According to a new lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Lenny says he dropped thousands of dollars on plants from Threlkel Botanicals back in 2020 ... but he claims the store started removing plants and trees from his Miami mansion last week while his estranged wife Lisa Hochstein was moving out.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
Lenny, who is divorcing 'The Real Housewives of Miami' star, claims he directly told the store and its owner, Jim Threlkel, not to take the plants from the property ... but Lenny says they were removed anyway.
In the docs, Lenny is crying foul ... he says removing the plants he bought amounts to theft and trespassing.
Lenny also claims Jim acted with "felonious intent and knew he was taking property he was not entitled to."
Lisa and Lenny's divorce has been pretty nasty -- he's already engaged to another woman -- and now Threlkel Botanicals is being pulled into the fray.
Lenny's going after the store to get the plants back and/or damages, and he claims those damages exceed $50K!!!

Danny Masterson Sentenced To 30 Years to life in Prison In Rape Retrial
-
Breaking News

5:32 PM PT -- Danny Masterson sounds confident in getting his convictions overturned on appeal.
One of Danny's attorneys, Shawn Holley, tells TMZ ... "For the past several months, a team of the top appellate lawyers in the country has been reviewing the transcripts of the trial. They have identified a number of significant evidentiary and constitutional issues which they will address in briefs to both state and federal appellate courts."
Holley continues ... "The errors which occurred in this case are substantial and unfortunately, led to verdicts which are not supported by the evidence."
She adds ... "And though we have great respect for the jury in this case and for our system of justice overall, sometimes they get it wrong. And that's what happened here."
Holley concludes ... "Mr. Masterson did not commit the crimes for which he has been convicted and we -- and the appellate lawyers -- the best and the brightest in the country -- are confident that these convictions will be overturned."
Danny Masterson has finally been sentenced, months after he was convicted on 2 rape counts, to 30 years to life behind bars.
The "That '70s Show" star was sentenced Thursday to 30 years in a Los Angeles court. He was facing 30 years to life after being found guilty on 2 of his 3 counts ... so the sentence isn't all that surprising.
As we reported, he was convicted on the 2 counts in May, but the jury was hung on the 3rd count. He was first charged back in 2020, with the 3 women saying the incidents went down between 2001 and 2003 -- as he was working on his comedy series.
11/30/22
Remember, Masterson had a trial last October, but it ended in a mistrial a month later after the jury was unable to reach a decision. The actor's team tried to get it dismissed, but he was eventually retried and convicted.
His attorney, Philip Cohen, told us after Masterson's mistrial that the case was "about nothing other than the credibility of the three accusers and that credibility could only be determined by comparing, contrasting and focusing on the ever-evolving statements given by the women."
After being found guilty, we learned Masterson wasn't put in lockup with the general population at the L.A. County Men's Central Jail -- where he's been awaiting his sentence -- but instead was in "administrative segregation" ... where high-profile inmates like O.J. Simpson and Suge Knight have stayed in the past.

Kroy Biermann is tired of petty swipes with his estranged wife, Kim Zolciak, amid their divorce, and he's making one urgent plea ... sign off on the sale of their home, STAT.
The ex-NFL star's attorney, Marlys A. Bergstrom, tells us ... Kim's recent on-camera suggestion that Kroy asking a court to let him put the Georgia mansion on the market was actually her idea is simply posturing ... and it's meaningless considering how dire things are.
Bergstrom says Kroy is over all the gamesmanship and simply wants what's in the best interest of everyone involved -- including their 4 children -- and that boils down to selling this house yesterday, collecting whatever equity they can and paying off a ton of debt.
Per KB's attorney, the family's deep in the hole right now -- well north of a million bucks -- and they're also on the verge of having their home foreclosed on for good ... despite Kroy's best efforts to sell personal items and make mortgage payments.
Unless they act soon, we're told, they'll be out on the streets ... with other bill collectors continuing to come after them. Bergstrom says the only way to rectify their financial situation in one fell swoop is to sell the house -- and Kroy is basically begging his wife to come to the table and sign a joint consent agreement that'll get this ball rolling.
Kroy has gone to court in the meantime since he says Kim has failed to meet him halfway -- requesting an emergency hearing to get permission from a judge directly -- but Bergstrom says all that is unnecessary if Kim just plays ball.
Bergstrom tells us Kroy isn't out to hurt Kim, nor does he want to one-up her -- right now, his only focus is protecting their children and helping the family move forward.
Bottom line ... Kroy wants to turn the page, but feels his wife has her head buried in the sand. While she's gallivanting in L.A. -- his lawyer says he's in Georgia trying to navigate their money nightmare ... and he needs her to come back to Earth to face the music.
The saga continues ...
