RBG Treated for Pancreatic Cancer
Ruth Bader Ginsburg has overcome yet another health scare, recently getting treated for pancreatic cancer.
The Supreme Court announced Friday RBG was recently treated for pancreatic cancer in NYC and said, "the tumor was treated definitively and there is no evidence of disease elsewhere in the body."
A rep for the high court said, "Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg today completed a three-week course of stereotactic ablative radiation therapy. The focused radiation treatment began on August 5 and was administered on an outpatient basis to treat a tumor on her pancreas."
We got RBG at the airport in D.C. Friday and she seemed to be in good spirits.
The Supreme Court said the abnormality was first detected after a routine blood test in early July, and a biopsy performed on July 31 confirmed a localized malignant tumor. They said as part of the treatment, a bile duct stent was placed.
Proving her toughness yet again ... the Supreme Court said, "The Justice tolerated treatment well. She cancelled her annual summer visit to Santa Fe, but has otherwise maintained an active schedule" and added, no further treatment is needed at this time.
This is the fourth time the 86-year-old's dealt with cancer. She had also been treated for early stages of pancreatic cancer in 2009 but most recently she underwent a pulmonary lobectomy to remove 2 nodules from her lung. Doctors removed all of the cancer.
RBG also underwent surgery to successfully treat colon cancer in 1999. She underwent a heart procedure in 2014 to have a stent placed in her right coronary artery.

-
Exclusive

Bam Margera is putting himself back on the road to recovery -- on the heels of leaving rehab yet again, and ending up in a bar ... we've learned he's about to give rehab another shot.
Sources close to Bam tell TMZ ... he's voluntarily entering a new rehab facility on Thursday, knowing full well he needs help. We're told he intends to try to stay sober.
He was at a Los Angeles bar Wednesday night sipping on an ice cold mug of beer. He had just recently bailed on a treatment facility -- the second time he's done so this month.
So now, he's making attempt number 3, and we're told Bam's big stumbling block in treatment has been wanting his cell phone with him at all times, so he can communicate with his son. The last facility took his phone, which he didn't take well.
Our sources say Bam's checking into a different facility this time, and he's hoping they'll let him keep his phone.
TMZ broke the story ... Bam had an intense session with Dr. Phil a little over 2 weeks ago when he was urged to complete a 60 to 90-day treatment program. He entered, but left after a few days.
8/14/19
That's when he got arrested last week following some bizarre behavior at a L.A.'s Luxe Hotel. Hours after his arrest, he was admitted back to rehab -- but it didn't stick.
As he takes a third swing at treatment, we're told he still has Dr. Phil's full support.

Britney Spears' Dad I Want 9 More States to Know ... I'm Her Conservator!!!
-
Exclusive Details
- 1.5K shares
Britney Spears can travel far and wide in the United States, but her dad wants everyone to know, wherever she goes, don't mess with the conservatorship.
Jamie Spears just filed legal docs, obtained by TMZ, asking the judge in the L.A. case to allow him to file conservatorship papers in the following states -- Alabama, Arizona, Washington D.C. (we know, not a state), Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Tennessee and Virginia.
The reason ... our Britney sources say Jamie wants to fend off people -- notably Britney's former friend and manager, Sam Lutfi, and her mom, Lynne Spears -- from going into states where Britney goes and file for a new conservatorship that puts them in charge.
Jamie has already done this in Florida, Louisiana and Hawaii ... all places Britney visits from time to time. As for the new states and D.C., we're told she has various connections there -- friends and family mostly.
This is not a precursor to a new tour -- there is no plan for Britney to take the stage in the foreseeable future.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. says he's still VERY sore after surviving a plane crash just 7 days ago -- but he's already getting himself ready to RACE again next week.
"My lower back is bruised up real bad," the 44-year-old NASCAR legend told a fan on Twitter.
"Lots of swelling and I just need that to go down and the pain to chill out."
Of course, Dale, his wife, his 1-year-old daughter, his dog and two pilots were involved in a terrifying wreck last Thursday when their plane crash landed in Elizabethton, Tennessee.
Dale and his family's injuries were initially described as bumps and bruises ... but now Earnhardt's revealing he's actually pretty banged up.
The good news ... Dale says he's gunning to get healthy enough to race in the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW200 at the Darlington Raceway on August 31, which features the biggest stars of NASCAR's XFINITY Series.
"I been treating the area [lower back] every day solely to get well to race," Dale says.
"I have a plan B but hope not to use it."
It's still unclear what caused Earnhardt's plane to go down last week ... but in a press conference, National Transportation Safety Board officials said the scene was scary, adding Earnhardt's plane bounced TWICE on the runway before it skidded to a stop.
Officials are expected to reveal a cause of the crash in the upcoming days.

Larry King's wife, Shawn, is not going to declare war on her now-estranged husband who just filed for divorce ... because she's been told by doctors he's dying.
Sources who have spoken directly with Shawn tell TMZ, Shawn has had issues with Larry for years -- and Larry with her -- but she says there's a bigger issue. Larry's been in and out of the hospital over the last 6 months, and she says doctors have told her Larry doesn't have much longer to live.
We're told Larry was at Cedars-Sinai Cardiac ICU in late April, at the same time John Singleton was in ICU. Our sources say doctors told her Larry might only have a short time to live -- they were clearly wrong. Larry was transferred to a 24-hour care facility and then went back to the hospital.
2/27/19
TMZ broke the story ... Larry filed for divorce Tuesday because we're told their 2 kids came to him and urged him to divorce her. A source on Shawn's side says only one of their children urged him to divorce her.
As for what triggered things ... we're told Shawn came to Larry's bedside and asked him to adjust his will/trust. Sources connected to Larry say Shawn's endgame was to get more for herself and screw the kids out of their inheritance. Sources on Shawn's side call BS, saying the estate planning lawyer told Larry and Shawn to update the docs and when she was told he had days to live she was merely following through, but in no way tried to screw over her kids.
The couple would have celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary in 2 weeks. This is his 8th marriage.

Heather Locklear just pled no contest to 8 misdemeanors, including 6 involving battery on a police officer or EMT, and she's getting a sentence that will hopefully help her -- a sentence that does not involve jail.
The judge decided the appropriate sentence was 30 days in a residential mental health facility. The judge stayed a 120 jail sentence. Of course, that means Heather must complete the 30 days of treatment or else she could face the jail sentence.
Sources connected to Heather tell TMZ she wanted to take responsibility for what she did and wants to get help so she avoids such trouble in the future. She'll also be on 3 years of informal probation -- meaning unsupervised. Heather was also ordered not to possess weapons, non-prescribed medications or alcohol.
The judge said Heather must enroll in the treatment program by Sept. 6.
As we reported, Heather was arrested in February and again in June of last year. In the first incident, she was allegedly under the influence and attacked her boyfriend and a responding police officer. In the second incident, police responded to a disturbance call and allegedly a heavily intoxicated Locklear attacked a cop and an EMT.
Heather has been fighting substance abuse and coping with mental illness for years. She's been placed on an involuntarily psychiatric hold in the past and has gone to rehab a number of times.
We're told she's been getting professional help and the 30 days in a mental health facility will be the latest move to help her beat these demons.

Sources close to Bam tell us ... immediately after he was released from police custody, he was readmitted to rehab. The facility is demanding a commitment from him, along with various rules he must follow during his treatment. We're told he's agreed to all conditions.
Bam was first admitted to rehab last week after he publicly reached out to Dr. Phil and begged for help. The two did a sit-down interview and he was supposed to enter a 60-90 day program ... but he lasted less than a week.
TMZ broke the story ... Bam was arrested in L.A. early Wednesday morning at a Sunset Strip hotel. Cops say they were called to the hotel after Bam got into it with other hotel guests, and refused to leave the property.

School Funded by Bill Gates Horrific Bullying Video ... Student Sues Claiming Permanent Brain Damage
-
Exclusive
- 10.1K shares
3:44 PM PT -- A rep for Green Dot tells while they cannot comment on the lawsuit, "We take seriously the safety of all our students and quickly address bullying of any kind on our campuses ... A core value of Green Dot Public Schools is to demonstrate the utmost respect for the communities we serve, including all of our students and their families."
The statement continues, "This value is central to how Green Dot approaches incidents of bullying: We treat each other with respect and do not tolerate bullying in any form. We are committed to supporting our students as they reach their innate potential to achieve their goals and succeed in college, leadership, and life."
A school Bill and Melinda Gates have supported by donating millions of dollars is being sued over a horrific bullying incident, which allegedly left a 12-year-old boy with permanent brain damage.
TMZ has obtained video of the incident, which is extremely difficult to watch. It was shot at the Animo Westside Charter Middle School in L.A., near LAX.
The boy's mother is suing the school and Green Dot, the org that oversees the school. The Gates are not being sued.
You see the boy right outside the school, when a bully from the school punches him and then puts him in a chokehold, which seems to last around 20 seconds. Notice in the video ... a staffer walks by but seems unconcerned by what is happened right next to her. She never helps ... just walks away.
The boy goes limp, apparently losing consciousness, and the bully becomes alarmed ... realizing what he had done.
The bully then helps the injured student by bringing him inside one of the buildings so he can drink some water. The boy then goes limp again and then loses consciousness. A staffer brings him into an office and lays him out on the floor. The blinds close and the paramedics arrive.
The lawsuit -- filed by attorney Ben Meiselas of Geragos & Geragos -- claims the boy suffered a seizure shortly after the incident and he now has permanent brain damage. According to the lawsuit, he suffered a hypoxic-ischemic brain injury -- a lack of oxygen to the brain. He now has significant learning disabilities and will likely need treatment for the remainder of his life.
The boy's mother told LAPD she did not want to press criminal charges against the bully because he was "a mere child." All she wanted was him expelled from the school, but according to the lawsuit he was not removed from the school and the lawsuit claims, he "continues to pose a threat to the safety and lives of other students."
The lawsuit asks for unspecified damages.
We contacted the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation -- the couple gave millions to Green Dot to build the school in question along with several others -- so far, no word back. We also contacted the school and have not heard back.
