Britney Spears is in bad shape -- her meds aren't working right and she's not nearly fully recovered from her relapse that landed her in a mental health facility -- and now to make matters worse, we're told she's "playing" her mom to give her more freedom to make decisions.

As we reported, Britney's mom, Lynne Spears, is going to court Friday ... asking the judge who presides over her conservatorship to force Brit's conservator, Jamie Spears, to download her on the medical decisions he's making.

Lynne has never been part of the conservatorship. She used to be extremely close to Britney, but when Britney and Justin Timberlake broke up back in 2002, the singer cut her mom out of her life. Their relationship has been spotty ever since ... we're told Lynne hadn't seen Britney for around a year.

We're told Lynne is upset over reports that Jamie had Britney committed to the mental facility and forced drugs on her -- both not true. Jamie's conservatorship doesn't give him that power. But, Lynne has heard the "Free Britney" chant and has now made her move.

Our sources say Jamie is alarmed Britney is using Lynne to get more freedom, during a period where her judgment is extremely bad. She's not allowed to drive with her phone -- security stopped her after she was caught texting and driving a week ago. Security takes her phone when she takes the wheel. By the way ... Britney doesn't have a smartphone -- only a flip phone -- because of what she might do if she has access to the internet.

Britney wants more freedom, and we're told she is using Lynne to get her way. There has been a long-standing conflict between Lynne and Jamie. We're told Lynne is deferential to Britney, while Jamie is walking a tightrope ... trying to give Britney freedom, but understanding too much freedom can trigger the type of episode that almost killed Britney in 2008.

Our sources say Jamie has confided in friends if Britney goes off the rails she could lose custody of her kids ... and quickly.

The showdown is set for Friday in court when Lynne will ask a judge for access to medical info. She's staying with Britney and we're told it's possible Britney will show up for the hearing.

Chris Brown got wrapped into some bad juju after cops say a woman trekked across the country trying to get him to remove a curse she believed CB inflicted on her son.

Cops responded to a call Saturday night reporting a strange woman with a preteen who was seen wandering around Chris' L.A.-area property ... throwing a bible over his wall, no less.

Officers responded, and they got quite the tale from the woman. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... she said she had flown into town from Texas that day with her boy -- all in the hopes of convincing Chris to lift some voodoo. We're told she felt the presence of a bible on his lawn would help lift the curse.

As for why she thought all of this -- pretty clearly, cops figured she might have mental health issues. She was taken in for evaluation, and her son was taken into protective custody.

Chris wasn't directly involved in the incident ... he wasn't home at the time.

We know Chris luckily dodged the encounter because he was partying it up with Jake Paul, Lamar Odom and a bunch of his celeb pals in Calabasas on Saturday night for Desiigner's 22nd birthday.

Unless Layzie Bone can prove a DNA test with 99.9999999% accuracy is wrong, he IS the father of another child ... TMZ has learned.

We broke the story ... the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony rapper -- real name Steven Howse -- was involved in a paternity case in Michigan with the baby's mother, Shateira Marketa Childress. She claimed he was the father of her child, Sevyn, and turns out ... she was right.

According to the test report ... DNA samples were collected from the trio in April, and Layzie's been determined to be the biological father with almost 100 percent certainty.

As we told you, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is looking to establish Layzie as the father in order to determine how much he'll have to fork over in child support.

The rapper was involved in another paternity suit in 2013 with a different woman, and he was found to be the father that time as well. Layzie -- who apparently ain't all that lazy -- also has 3 other kids with his wife of many years.

This year's Met Gala once again brought out the good, the rad and the funky.

The annual event's fully underway right now in NYC at the Metropolitan Museum of Art ... and once again it did NOT disappoint. As usual, TONS of celebs poured into the annual and glitzy fundraiser with some intense outfits. From French Montana and Harry Styles to Ashley Graham and Serena Williams.

Lady Gaga made one hell of an entrance at the Met Gala ... parachuting into the glitzy event in one super-sized outfit, and then rocking several more -- including one that was almost nothing!

LG showed up in this MASSIVE Brandon Maxwell dress Monday evening in NYC ... where she needed a small army to help her make her way into the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Some of her accessories included a huge bow on her head, giant eyelashes and, of course, a jaw-dropping train.

And, that was ONLY the beginning ... upon arrival, she unveiled an elegant black dress before showing off another pink outfit. The final outfit ... a shiny bra, underwear and heels mashed up with some fishnets.

In case you're wondering ... this year's theme has been dubbed "Camp: Notes on Fashion" to honor writer Susan Sontag's 1964 essay, "Notes on Camp" about society broadening its attitudes toward sexuality ... particularly homosexuality.

This year's theme's not as obvious as last year's "Heavenly" bash ... but as usual, Gaga still nailed it.

John Singleton's closest friends and loved ones arrived at his private funeral to pay their final respects.

The late director's Celebration of Life went down Monday at Angelus Funeral Home in L.A. where many of John's friends and family members honored him one last time. Ludacris, Ice Cube, Tyrese, Jim Brown, Tina Knowles and Congresswoman Maxine Waters were just some of the guests who attended.

John will be buried at Forest Lawn in Hollywood Hills following the service.

As we reported, John died last week at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. after being taken off life support following a massive stroke on April 17. The "Boyz n the Hood" director had been in a coma in ICU since then.

It appears John actually died from the stroke on April 28 at 3:30 PM ... at least that's what's listed on his death certificate. It's interesting because the family announced he had passed on April 29.

3:21 PM -- We got several attendees leaving the Celebration of Life ... from "Baby Boy" star Ving Rhames and Tina Knowles, to Congresswoman Waters, all of whom showered the late director with kind words.

5:17 PM PT -- Honchos from the investment company, Dentsu Aegis, tell TMZ ... "As financial partner, we had the customary rights one would expect to protect a large investment. After we exercised our contractual right to take over, and subsequently, cancel the festival, we simply recovered the funds in the festival bank account, funds we originally put in as a financial partner.

"Further, tickets cannot go on sale for an event prior to obtaining a mass gathering permit, which has still not been granted. And we stand by original statement made last week."

Woodstock 50's primary investor is pulling out all the stops to torpedo the 50th anniversary of the landmark rock festival ... so says the man behind the Woodstock brand.

Michael Lang -- who spearheaded Woodstock back in 1969, and is producing Woodstock 50 -- is calling out the investment company, Dentsu, for allegedly trying to sabotage the revival scheduled for later this summer.

According to a letter Lang fired off to Dentsu's Prez and CEO -- obtained by TMZ -- he had concerns from the get-go about such a large corporation being linked to Woodstock ... and it quickly became a thorn in his side.

Lang claims for some unknown reason, Dentsu blocked ticket sales in late April even though the festival had obtained all the necessary permits. He says it also began interfering with the talent lineup ... going so far as to tell bands if they backed out Dentsu would help them land a gig playing the Summer Olympics in 2020 instead.

Lang claims his worst fears were confirmed when Dentsu then surprisingly decided to pull the plug on Woodstock 50 and notified the media it was canceling ... without any legal right to do so.

Even worse -- Lang claims Dentsu "illegally swept approximately $17 million from the festival bank account leaving the festival in peril." Translation ... Lang is suggesting Dentsu pocketed the money.

On the bright side -- Lang says these recent obstacles have led to a "groundswell of support for Woodstock in every conceivable manner, making the prospects of having a successful event a virtual certainty."

Britney Spears' mother has just filed legal docs asking the judge in her conservatorship case to clue her in on her daughter's medical treatment, and we've learned this is the latest move in what has become a conflict over the singer's condition.

Our Britney sources say, Lynne Spears has become upset with Britney's condition, which landed her in a mental health facility over the last month, and believes she is not getting the appropriate treatment. Jamie Spears has been Britney's conservator for more than 11 years, and is widely credited for literally saving Britney's life when she was in serious danger of dying back in 2008.

We're told Lynne read reports about Britney being held against her will and pumped with drugs she didn't want ... both, by the way, demonstrably untrue because the conservatorship does not give Jamie that power.

According to our sources, Lynne, who is best friends with the wife of Louisiana's Governor, got the help of the Governor's family to find a lawyer ... it is unclear if the lawyer who is now representing Lynne was the one recommended. But, it looks like Lynne believes some of the stories she's read and is now angling for a voice in her daughter's treatment.

Lynne is not asking to become a co-conservator, but she wants to know what's going on. Our sources say Lynne is currently in L.A. and is staying with Britney.

Fact is ... Britney is out of the facility but not doing great. She still has significant mental health issues and her meds are a work in progress.

The court hearing is Friday.

Marshmello's mega hit "Happier" has another artist PISSED ... claiming in a new lawsuit the famous DJ jacked his remix.

Artem Stoliarov -- aka Arty -- is suing Marshmello claiming the DJ's track "Happier" is almost identical to Arty's remix of One Republic's "I Lived." In docs, obtained by TMZ, Arty claims that Marshmello's melody in "Happier" is a direct copy of Arty's "I Lived" remix ... specifically Marshmello's four-bar synthesizer, which Arty calls a knock off.

What's more ... Arty claims out of the 20 notes, the order of the first 19 notes are identical. Arty says he and Marshmello are acquaintances and often perform at the same music festivals. Arty also claims Marshmello was at one of his shows and saw him perform his "I Lived" remix.

Arty released his famous remix in 2014. The track peaked at No. 2 in the Billboard Hot 100 and remained in the charts for 35 weeks. It's gone multi-platinum twice and was recently played at the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville. The track's seen nearly 4 million plays on YouTube.

11:01 AM PT -- Kim just shut the reports down too, saying, "Wait just saw news our baby boy came but that's not true! It's Met Monday, I'm in NYC. I would be at the hospital lol"

Kim Kardashian has 3 children, not 4, despite reports her surrogate has given birth.

There are stories circulating the surrogate just gave birth to a boy, a story that may have been fueled by one of Kim's posts Monday, in which she displayed a text from Kanye saying, "This is your life. Married with four kids. Get people out of jail. Cover of Vogue. Go to church every week with your family. Dreams come true."

Our Kardashian sources say it's not so. That said, we're told the surrogate is expected to give birth sometime this week.

As you know, the 4th baby will join the brood, with 5-year-old North, 3-year-old Saint and 1-year-old Chicago.

Kim's gonna be juggling a lot of babies. She's in the throes of studying for the Baby Bar. And, she's knee deep in fighting for prison reform, and she's been extremely successful at it.

2:05 PM PT -- Jake's attorney, Larry Stein, tells us, "We take this claim very seriously, and are working with authorities to make absolutely sure we do our part to uncover the truth."

Jake Paul hosted a massive party for Desiigner's birthday, and one female guest says things got so out of control ... someone drugged her, and now cops are investigating.

Law enforcement tells TMZ ... officers were contacted Sunday about a possible case of unwillful impairment that occurred Saturday night at the YouTube star's mansion in Calabasas.

We're told cops are looking into whether the alleged victim -- a female in her early 20s -- unknowingly took something that severely impaired her. The investigation is in its early stages, and law enforcement is asking anyone with information to reach out to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.

Important to note ... neither Jake nor Desiigner is accused of anything. We reached out to Jake's reps, but no word back.

Our sources say paramedics made multiple house calls during the party, one shortly before midnight for a sick person transported to the hospital. Another call was made for the same thing after 1 AM, and a third call happened around 3 AM for an adult who fell and got injured.

As for the party ... Jake's celebration for Desiigner's 22nd bday had a ton of celeb guests, including Chris Brown, Lamar Odom, Bella Thorne, Swae Lee, Justin Combs, Paris Brosnan, Trey Songz, Famous Dex and Cameron Dallas. The party featured live boxing matches and motorcycle stunts.

As a result ... we're told there were private ambulances and paramedics in the driveway of Jake's home, at the ready if anyone needed medical treatment. Still, the 911 calls were answered by county firefighters, not the private ones.

Additionally, sources involved tell us security at the party was supervised by a retired Sheriff's deputy, and they had 38 guards on site to check IDs.

Meek Mill took a well-deserved break to celebrate another year on this earth ... and it was a star-studded affair.

The rapper rented out Ysabel in West Hollywood Sunday night for his 32nd birthday, and among the dinner guests were Future, Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Yachty, Young Thug, YG, DJ Mustard, Yo Gotti and Diddy's son, Justin.

The fellas really appeared to enjoy each other's company ... along with some cake and drinks, including a customized "Dream Chaser" cocktail by D'Usse VSOP in Meek's honor.

YG also rocked a vest in tribute of their late pal, Nipsey Hussle.

We're told Meek gathered everyone together and delivered a speech thanking them for their support during his ups and downs ... and toasted to his #1 album, "Championships," and the launch of the REFORM Alliance, which is dedicated to prison reform.

As you know ... Meek was released from prison on bail a little more than a year ago, and has been working hard as an advocate for criminal justice reform ever since.

Meat Loaf went down HARD ... falling clear off a stage in Texas -- due to some loose wires -- and he's reportedly suffered a broken collarbone.

The singer was holding a Q&A session for the 2019 Texas Frightmare Weekend. Meat was making his way across the stage Saturday when he suddenly lost his balance and started tumbling. You could see the shock and horror on his face, immediately.

Meat Loaf tried to save himself, but eventually went down sideways and completely off the back of the stage, through a curtain. There are reports he tripped over a bunch of wires bundled on the stage.

He was transported to a nearby hospital and kept overnight, where he was reportedly treated for a broken collarbone. According to eyewitness, Meat Loaf refused to hand the mic over before thanking his fans -- and Frightmare staffers offered refunds for those who had paid for a photo op.

The singer has had serious health issues during past performances -- he collapsed in 2003 ... as well as in 2011 and 2016.

Raz B is turning his relationship drama into cold, hard cash by signing on to become the newest cast member of "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to production on the VH1 reality show tell us ... Raz B has already joined 'L&HH' and for the past few weeks a film crew's been following him around, capturing all his ups and downs on the B2K reunion tour.

We're told Raz B inked his deal last month with the show's Hollywood branch ... and he'll be featured in the upcoming season.

Raz B is already giving 'L&HH' plenty of content. As we first reported ... he got arrested in Minneapolis this week after cops said he strangled his girlfriend during an argument outside a Macy's. Ultimately, the County Attorney's Office decided not to prosecute the singer based on a lack of evidence.

We're told you won't see Raz B's jail stint on the show, though -- cameras weren't rolling at the time of the incident with his GF.

Still, y'know the drama will be part of a storyline. It's what 'L&HH' does ... and does well.

We're told Kodak Black and Eliantte have been talking about creating this custom piece for a few years ... and it's finally come to fruition. KB doesn't have his baby bling yet, but we're told it's about to be delivered.

2:37 PM PT -- TSA has released a statement regarding Diana's uncomfortable pat-down. The agency says, "TSA is committed to ensuring all travelers are treated with respect and courtesy. TSA is aware of concerns presented by Diana Ross about her screening experience at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport this morning.

They continued ... "Initial review of CCTV indicates that the officers involved with Ms. Ross’s screening correctly followed all protocols, however, TSA leadership will continue to investigate the matter further. We encourage Ms. Ross to reach out to TSA so we can work with her directly to address her concerns."

Diana Ross says a TSA agent at a New Orleans airport took a pat-down search too far -- which left her feeling shaken and violated afterward.

The legendary soul singer described her experience early Sunday morning in a string of tweets, explaining that while she's normally treated like royalty in NOLA ... she got the exact opposite treatment at an airport there -- saying, "I was treated like s**t."

BTW -- Diana was in town this weekend performing at the Jazz and Heritage Festival, but it sounds like getting there was a nightmare.

Ms. Ross says she's not blaming the airline she flew with -- Delta, apparently -- but instead is pointing the finger at a female TSA agent that conducted an "over the top" pat-down as Diana was going through security. She says it's not what was done ... but how.

Diana says she felt violated by the incident, going on to say she could still feel the woman's hands "between my legs, front and back." She says the agent told her she was just doing her job, but Diana ain't buying that ... presumably feeling the pat-down was too handsy.

She posted a clip of herself performing later in the day and said she was feeling better, but it's clear the TSA moment left its mark. Diana isn't the first celeb to become infuriated with TSA protocol either -- CNN contributor Angela Rye had a testy run-in herself in 2016.

Ben Affleck got a handful as well in 2017 ... and even Kim and Kanye got held up one time, which caused quite a ruckus (and an investigation in the process).

It's unclear if Diana is gonna take her complaint up the chain, but ya gotta imagine if her people come calling to take it any further ... the airport's gonna listen.
