Robin Wright Fun in the Malibu Sun

Published

Robin Wright made the best of the coronavirus pandemic Saturday by taking a trip to the beaches of Malibu with her brood and a few friends.

Robin and daughter, Dylan, hit the sand with some friends, as her husband, Clement Giraudet, hit the water with his board and took advantage of some pretty decent waves.  FYI, L.A. was ridiculously beautiful Saturday.

Robin and Dylan snacked as they watched Clement, a Saint Laurent exec and an accomplished surfer, shred the gnar.

Face masks were not in the picture, and it seems unlikely all of them were quarantining together, although it's possible.

Robin and Clement secretly tied the knot in France 2 years ago.

Mark Cuban What's Wrong with You Feds??? ... Hire the Unemployed to Fight Virus!!!

Published

Mark Cuban is challenging the federal government to rejigger the economy NOW ... by hiring some of the millions of people who are out of work and retraining them to become useful in fighting the coronavirus pandemic.

Cuban demanded answers ... "Explain to me why in the midst of 50m people unemployed or underemployed, the gov isn't hiring and training MILLIONS to do Tracking/Tracing, Caring/Supporting at risk populations and sanitization work? And now is the time to train/pay stay at home parents/caregivers as well."

It's an idea that was obliquely hatched during the Democratic presidential debates, by folks like Andrew Yang and others ... to scramble the economy and find new ways of supporting an increasingly struggling workforce.

We talked to California Governor Gavin Newsom on "TMZ Live" a couple weeks ago about his new program -- Californians For All -- encouraging young people to volunteer to help.  We asked if this could be the start of something like FDR's New Deal, where programs like the Work Progress Administration put out-of-work Americans to work to help the country.  Newsom seemed all about it.

This is actually an opportunity to restructure things ... to plan not just for the balance of 2020, but for the future, because lots will change and, frankly, lots would have changed anyway as technology develops and tastes change as well.

Atlanta Restaurants We Still Stand With Mayor Bottoms ... Too Soon To Open Back Up!!!

Published | Updated

Georgia's Governor lifted restaurant restrictions almost a week ago, but most popular ATL spots are instead heeding Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms ... refusing to open for dine-in service.

Many of Atlanta's most famous and popular restaurants are telling TMZ ... despite Gov. Brian Kemp's green light, they feel it's not safe enough to return to business as usual. However, some of them are still embracing crowds of customers ... for take-out.

Check out the gallery ... mouth-watering restaurants like Hattie Marie’s BBQ, The Original Hot Dog Factory, Nouveau Bar & Grill, Slutty Vegan and Bon Ton Atlanta are sticking with the status quo, only offering takeout and delivery options while dine-in tables sit empty.

Copper Cove Buckhead is taking a more extreme approach -- it's staying completely closed until Mayor Bottoms gives the all-clear. We're told ownership is using this time to sanitize the whole building.

Tons of celebs frequent Copper Cove ... Diddy, Fabolous, Offset, Pusha T, Toya Wright and Jermaine Dupri to name a few ... but they're just gonna have to wait.

As we reported ... the mayor's encouraging her citizens to listen to data coming from health officials in the middle of the crisis ... instead of what President Trump and Gov. Kemp are pushing.

Lamont D. Johnson, the PR rep for The Original Hot Dog Factory and CRU Hemp Lounge, tells TMZ ... the restaurants are pairing up with hospitals to donate food to medical workers.

And, Slutty Vegan owner Pinky Cole tells us she's paying rent for other small businesses in Atlanta, while providing free food to frontline workers.

Different approaches across the city, but most remain in solidarity with their Mayor.

Heather Locklear Making Strong Amends with Cops After 2018 Attack Incident

Published

Heather Locklear's ready to make nice. And, the feeling's mutual with cops 2 years after she went on the attack against them.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Heather's recently been working to repair her relationship with law enforcement, starting with simple acts like stopping Sheriff's deputies around town and saying hello. She's also bought a few cops coffee and chatted.

Then there's this ... in recent months we're told the "Spin City" star attended a Ventura County Sheriff's "Tip-A-Cop" event -- where cops serve as waiters at a local restaurant -- for lunch and returned for dinner.

As for the tip ... we're told she left a super impressive $1,500, which went to a Special Olympics charity. That Heather's taken the steps to bridge the gap with law enforcement has not gone unnoticed with cops. It's a stark contrast to what went down beginning in March 2018.

slack-imgs JUNE 2018
EMERGENCY AUDIO

TMZ broke the story ... police hit up her Thousand Oaks home armed with a search warrant to go look for a gun, this after she told cops "If you ever come back to my house I will shoot you" following her felony domestic violence arrest.

But, things really turned for the worse 3 months later. As we first reported ... Heather was busted after allegedly punching a deputy and kicking an EMT. Heather ultimately pled no contest to 8 misdemeanors and was ordered to 30 days in a residential mental health facility.

Just when it seemed Heather was putting the whole episode behind her ... the EMT -- a single mother of 3 -- wound up suing Heather in November 2018 claiming Heather wished death by AIDS on her children. The suit was ultimately dismissed.

Heather Locklear December 2018
FEELIN' GREAT!!!

We saw Heather out a month after the EMT filed the lawsuit and she couldn't look any better. She was smiling, being chatty with our photog and enjoying time with her family. She looked just as happy out celebrating her daughter Ava's 22nd birthday.

Heather's incredible turnaround, we're told, has cops beaming. Sources tell us they never took her actions personally and understood she needed help. Now that she's gotten it, we're told cops are ecstatic to see her overcome life obstacles ... especially because they know sobriety is no small feat.

Asante Samuel No Fun Playing For Belichick ... I Get Why Tom Left!!!

Published | Updated
Asante Samuel
HE FOUND A BETTER DEAL

Asante Samuel says playing for Bill Belichick and the Patriots was NOT fun ... and he tells TMZ Sports he believes the reason Tom Brady bolted was 'cause he just couldn't take it anymore.

"He probably just got fed up with it at the end of the day," the former New England cornerback says.

Samuel played with Brady and Belichick from 2003 to 2007 ... and he had a TON of success -- but he tells us he had ZERO fun along the way.

"It worked out for me, man. It made me a better man, but it's not something I enjoyed," Samuel says.

As for why Samuel says playing for The Hoodie is a grind ... it's because of the coach's strict rules and no-mercy personnel decisions.

In fact, Samuel says it was so tough ... he believes that's why Brady will head into the 2020 NFL season with a Buccaneers jersey on.

"He probably just got tired of it," Samuel says of TB12. "He probably got tired of some inner-circle things that he wanted. Maybe, he wanted receivers and tight ends to stay there with him and maybe Bill tried to trade them. Who knows what happened?"

Don't get it twisted, though ... Samuel still seems to respect the hell out of what Bill did for his career -- telling us he just didn't love the route it took to get there.

By the way, Asante -- who's from Ft. Lauderdale -- says he's got a Florida-themed gift for Tom as soon as COVID-19 lockdowns end ... and it's a pretty hilarious present!!

Dunkaroos 5,000-Pack Giveaway Goes Fast!!! ... Leaves Fans Hangry

Published

Dunkaroos fans got a shot to score a free pack of the popular '90s dipping snack, but it was gone in seconds ... leaving many feeling like dips themselves.

The 5,000 packs of Dunkaroos General Mills is giving away were claimed online in less than a minute Thursday, proving the pre-order promotion was a success.

It may have worked too well, though ... because the lightning-quick giveaway resulted in some Twitter allegations the site had actually crashed, was rigged or simply all a publicity stunt.

GM says that's not the case ... there were simply thousands of people on the site waiting for a chance to get their hands on the first packs of the revitalized '90s snack, and 5,000 spots filled up super fast.

The good news for these frustrated fans -- Dunkaroos will be making a comeback at some 7-Eleven stores starting in late May, and nationwide at more grocery and convenient stores later this summer.

It's unclear if there will be more flavors than the vanilla cookie and vanilla frosting with rainbow sprinkles Dunkaroos used for the giveaway, but either way ... people want 'em.

Call it the power of nostalgia ... and sugar.

Ron Jaworski Defends Eagles' Jalen Hurts Pick ... He Could Be Like Lamar Jackson!!!

Published | Updated
Ron Jaworski
NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT ... YET

Ron Jaworski is going to bat for his Eagles ... telling TMZ Sports Philly did NOT screw up the Jalen Hurts pick -- saying the QB could be used like Lamar Jackson!!

"The guy has too much talent to have him sit on the bench," Jaws says. "You could create that package for him just like Lamar Jackson had when he first came to Baltimore."

Of course, Jaws' opinion ain't shared by too many in Philadelphia ... the team was blasted all week for taking the Oklahoma star in the 2nd round despite having 27-year-old Carson Wentz on the roster.

Jaws admits he doesn't know exactly how the veteran QB will respond to the draft choice ... but he says Doug Pederson will find a way to get them both on the field at the same time regardless.

"You fit him in, you teach him, you groom him, and eventually you've got a player!" Jaworski tells us.

But, Ron made it clear, there will NOT be a QB controversy in Philadelphia ... as long as Wentz stays healthy.

"It's Carson's job I believe for a number of years," Jaws says.

David Beckham's good looks are truly goals!

Here is a 23-year-old version of the professional footballer showing off his fresh face during a Chelsea v. Manchester United match back in 1998 (left) ... was the same year Beckham received a red card for kicking Argentinian captain Diego Simeone, during the World Cup countdown.

And, 22 years later ... The father of four is spending this weekend celebrating his 45th birthday. He was last seen modeling his good looks for the cameras during a taping of 'The Tonight Show' earlier this year (right).

He won with these looks!

The question is ...

Hollywood #SuperBloom Stars Avoid This Year's Poppy Hot Shots

Published

The rural California countryside has been bursting with the ever-popular California Poppy flower ... AKA the trendy and influencer riddled #superbloom ... which normally attracts the hottest Hollywood stars to the lush landscapes for the fancy floral selfies.

Stars like Chelsea Handler, Emma Kenney, Iris Apatow and many more have all shared photos from previous floral flare-ups but have wisely chosen to stay safe at home and followed quarantine protocols during the 2020 cool crop.

Unlike celebs ... there have been lots of lookie-loos and picture seekers that have been spotted shirking the stay-at-home order and social distancing guidelines to get in on the growing 2020 flower trend.

With cars parked on both sides of the narrow streets … lots of snap-happy folks with their families and pets in tow have been spotted taking to the trails while wearing no facial coverings to check out the poppy population in its natural habitat.

Here’s a hot tip ... the California Department of Parks and Recreation has set up a live stream of the serene landscape away from the car craziness for you to enjoy from the safety and comfort from your own home.

… which begs the question.

If April showers bring May flowers ... what do May flowers bring?

Answer: Nothing ... STAY AT HOME!

Coronavirus Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls ... Like These Folks Here

Published | Updated
Gunlock Falls
TENDER LOVE AND CORONAVIRUS

Utah is ramping up to reopen safely -- like lots of other states -- but these happy campers are ready to take a leap of faith into their regular routines ... including trips to state parks with waterfalls.

Check out the scene from Gunlock State Park Saturday, where we're told at least 1,000 people congregated to freefall dive into the pools of water covering most of the grounds. It's surreal -- both gorgeous for the scenery, but horrifying 'cause of how packed it is.

Eyewitnesses say a majority of these waterfall jumpers were young people -- you can probably tell as much by watching the videos and seeing them up close and afar-- but we're also told some families were out there too. No matter what ... none of them were social distancing anyway.

BTW, local reports say at least two other state parks -- Sand Hollow and Quail Creek -- ended up getting packed to capacity on Friday ... this after the state announced it was ready to start navigating the reopening of several businesses, to the chagrin of many ... including Salt Lake City's mayor, who warned her own residents to remain vigilant.

The official Utah State Park Twitter page has been advising visitors to practice #ResponsibleRecreation ... but it's pretty obvious, responsibility is out the window.

Summer's just about here, and people are over heeding the dangers surrounding COVID-19.

Secretariat Wins the 2020 Kentucky Derby!!! ... Virtually, That Is

Published

Secretariat pulled ahead of Citation in the final stretch of the Kentucky Derby Saturday -- and if you're wondering what year it is ... don't worry, it's still 2020.

This weekend would've marked the opening day of the 146th annual horse racing event down at Churchill Downs over in Louisville -- which was postponed for the first time ever since WWII -- and while they couldn't get real thoroughbreds on the track, the crafty minds working the event created a virtual simulation race instead with Triple Crown Winners past.

That included legendary horses like Secretariat, Citation, War Admiral, Seattle Slew, Affirmed, Assault, Sir Barton, Whirlaway, Omaha, Count Fleet and more recent racers like American Pharaoh and Justify. All spanning different decades dating back to the early 1900s.

The way it works is that programmers entered each horse's stats into a computer system -- which took into account their odds as well -- and then it spits out a random number to assign to each horse. So, while Secretariat was the 7-2 favorite to win ... it didn't necessarily mean he WAS going to, even though he actually did in the end. Go figure!

It was a fun experiment, but it also proved why the proverbial G.O.A.T. of horse-racing is the king. BTW, if you're wondering why lil' Seabiscuit (who defeated War Admiral once upon a time) wasn't included -- it's 'cause he never competed in any Triple Crown races.

He probably could've held his own though ... at least we think so, anyway.

President Trump Buys Into N. Korean Media I, For One, Am Glad Kim's Doin' OK!!!

Published | Updated

North Korea's state-run media is apparently good enough for President Trump -- he's taking their word that Kim Jong-un has a clean bill of health ahead of him at face value ... congratulating the guy on his alleged bounce-back.

POTUS tweeted Saturday -- a day after photos surfaced of Kim at some ribbon-cutting ceremony at a factory there, which the media (that he and his regime control) claims were taken this weekend as proof that KJU is still kicking -- and didn't question the authenticity.

He wrote, "I, for one, am glad to see he is back, and well!" His words came in the form of a retweet from a user who put up the photos and a caption that reads ... "KimJongUn cut the tape at the ceremony marking the completion of Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory in Sunchon. #NorthKorea." That same user also attached video that purportedly shows Kim walking around the factory grounds on his own two feet, smiling and taking it all in.

Of course, if the photos show what N. Korea says they show, it would be the first public appearance Kim's made since early April -- after which rumors swirled about his health. Some reports from overseas claimed he was actually dead at one point, while others hedged more, claiming he was either on his death bed, in "grave danger" or in a vegetative state.

Considering Kim and co. run a brutal dictatorship and control all the information that seeps out to the world, we, for one, are inclined to take their media's reporting with a grain of salt. Fact is ... we don't know for sure when this visit took place. And, we doubt many outside North Korea do either.

All good in DT's book, though ... it seems. Trust him AND your lying eyes! 👀

Crosswalk Conflict 'I'm Walking Here!!!' Miami-Style ... Lady Goes Nuts on Car

Published | Updated

Florida man, meet Florida woman. She's just as rambunctious as you are sometimes, especially when cars get in her way ... like this poor sap in Miami just did.

Check out this wild video that's making the rounds on TikTok, which shows a lady crossing the street at a light (rightly using the crosswalk) and then losing her mind on a car that crossed the line, literally, into her walking space. It happens all the time, but never like this.

Waiting for your permission to load TikTok Post.

The woman absolutely freaks out, berating the driver for getting in her way ... and then she proceeds to start pummeling his car with kicks and physical blows. At one point, it looks like the guy in the vehicle tries getting out while telling her to relax, but she wasn't gonna let that happen either. She slams his door multiple times before finally walking away.

The meltdown isn't over there though -- once she's on the other side ... she starts screaming at the car from a distance and throws an epic tantrum on the curb. Seems like she might've been having a bad day, or maybe it was just the 'rona effect kicking into overdrive.

We know people have been acting a little squirrely lately by being under quarantine and whatnot, but this takes it to another level. BTW, Dustin Hoffman would be proud of this.

The Mountain from 'GoT' Breaks World Deadlift Record .. Over 1,100 Pounds!!!

Published | Updated
Thor Bjornsson
NOTHIN' BUT A MOLEHILL

The Mountain from "Game of Thrones" just broke an almighty weightlifting record that once belonged to his archrival ... and now, he wants to break the dude's face in the ring.

Hafthor Bjornsson -- who played The Hound's brother on the hit HBO series -- set a new world record Saturday by deadlifting 501 kilograms (about 1,104 lbs) and staying standing upon releasing the massive weight, while he was getting gassed up by his squad nearby.

It's an incredible feat, and before this ... his muscle-man foe, Eddie Hall, held the record at 500 kg from just a few years ago when he deadlifted at the World Deadlift Championships.

It should be noted that Eddie went down in utter exhaustion after his lift, BUT ... he did hold the bar up longer than Thor did. In any case, The Mountain's got him beat with this latest show of strength, but the feud's not over ... 'cause the guy wants to settle this once and for all in the ring -- as in boxing. He said as much in a post-interview, where he challenged Eddie to a fight in the ring, during which he says he wants to dole out a KO.

Welp, Eddie has already responded to the call ... saying he will "1,000 percent sign those papers" while going on to explain it's not for money or glory, but to teach The Mountain a lesson after he apparently called Eddie a cheat at a competition they were both in once upon a time.

EH also makes a point to say he was never naive enough to think no one would ever beat his record -- but it sounds like this bitter rivalry will, in fact, end up with gloves on.

Fight, fight, fight ...

'Murder Hornets' Touch Down in N. America Capable of Killing Humans w/ Venom

Published | Updated

A deadly species of hornets from across the world has landed in our own backyard -- and the timing couldn't be worse with the coronavirus pandemic in full swing.

An epidemiologist named Chris Looney gave a detailed report to the NYT this weekend, outlining the first sightings of these giant Asian "murder" hornets here in North America -- first spotted in Washington state this past fall -- and the joint effort to eradicate them before they wipe out our bee population, not to mention any human casualties along the way.

The report says the giant Asian hornets tear up entire bee colonies by decapitating their heads with their jaws and feeding the bodies to their young. Up until around Novemer, the so-called "murder hornets" hadn't been seen here in the U.S., but now ... it seems they've arrived, and scientists are working on a way to get rid of them since summer's approaching, when the hornets are expected to be much more active.

The hornets kill people too, BTW -- the Times says up to 50 people get stung by them and die each year ... and their potent venom has been described as hot metal driving through people's skin. A queen hornet can measure up to 2 inches long -- so they're big.

The good news (we think) is that the entomologists and other experts working on this issue have been setting up homemade hornet traps in hopes of keeping the population at bay, and they've also created a grid of where they think the hornets are.

For those they do catch, the scientists plan to use radio-frequency identification tags on the insects and track where they go with the idea being they'll lead them to the nest(s). Then, they could potentially destroy them and take out entire colonies at a time.

Good luck ... better wear suits made of metal while you're at it 😬
