Practicing social distancing and staying at home can be a great opportunity for families to catch up on quality time ... or drive each other absolutely crazy -- check out how these famous families are surviving under one roof!

Celebs such as Kim Kardashian, John Legend, Anna Faris, and Shawn Johnson have taken to social to show off how they've been passing the time with the little ones during their time in self-isolation.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has been a fixture the last 2 weeks -- providing a steady flow of scary information to a public hungry for answers -- but on Sunday he paused to reflect on things people can do to feel some sense of normalcy.

The Gov rhapsodized about his youth, when his parents would have what appears to be a mandatory family dinner every Sunday ... and frankly, it sounds delicious.

The Governor talked about the need for comfort, which is often found in the family unit.

He explains his own current circumstances and, if we understand the message, he's trying to inspire people to connect with their loved ones and even enjoy each other's company ... family members quarantined together, of course.

Huge news out of Utah ... where the state Dept. of Health says it has "cleared" Jazz players and staff to leave isolation after 2 players tested positive for coronavirus.

Remember, Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell were the first two NBA athletes to test positive for COVID-19 roughly 2 weeks ago, prompting the league to postpone the season indefinitely.

The rest of the Utah Jazz team -- including players, coaches and staff -- were all tested and ordered into isolation to try and reduce the chances of exposing anyone else.

But, Friday morning, the Utah Dept. of Health gave the green light to rejoin their families.

"As of today, Friday, March 27, all Utah Jazz players and staff have been cleared by the Utah Department of Health after completing their respective periods of isolation and quarantine following exposure to COVID-19."

"In accordance with CDC and NBA recommendations, all players and staff will continue to practice social distancing while limiting time outside of their homes to essential activities."

Laura Wasser has some sage advice for co-parents during these days of quarantining -- now's not the time to be dumb or difficult ... and if you are, it might cost you later.

The "Disso Queen" understands the challenges of co-parenting can be compounded during the coronavirus pandemic, so she's urging moms and dads to be reasonable and adaptable until things calm down ... for the good of the kids, of course.

Laura says trust between co-parents is critical right now, not only for normal custody reasons ... but to make sure neither the parent or the child is disobeying social-distancing guidelines that could put extended, or especially elderly, family members at risk.

There's also the issue of schooling. As you know, schools across the country are shut down or have gone to virtual classrooms to comply with "stay-at-home" orders ... so Wasser says it's important for co-parents to hammer out the best game plan for their kids to deal with that too.

So, what should a parent do if the other's not being a team player? Laura has a good answer ... and a pretty stark warning for any co-parent considering playing hardball.

Well, this ain't exactly the model form of social distancing ... but ya won't hear us complain!!!

Paulina Gretzky and Dustin Johnson's sister-in-law got in some bikini dancing during their self-isolation time Thursday ... and the views are pretty spectacular.

It seems the two were boating in the Florida sun when they fired up their phone cams to participate in the latest viral TikTok trend.

"Social distancing with my sista," said Paulina, who was rockin' the tiny blue bathing suit.

Of course, we had to cut the audio (legal reasons!!!) ... but you've heard the Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage" song before, and you've had to have seen this dance by now.

It's unclear how long we'll all be in quarantine for ... but it's clips like these that are helping our eyes get through it.

'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin's only daughter, Bindi Irwin, is a married woman at the age of 21 ... only she had to say "I do" in front of a limited crowd.

The Australian conservationist broke the news Wednesday with a pic of her in her wedding dress smooching her hubby, Chandler Powell, at the Australia Zoo -- same place they engaged last summer.

As excited as she clearly is to be hitched -- Bindi said a lot of their planning, spanning nearly a year, had to be scrapped last minute because of COVID-19 ... including the size of the guest list.

She says, "We’ve planned this beautiful day for nearly a year and had to change everything, as we didn’t have guests at our wedding."

Bindi goes on ... "This was a very difficult decision but important to keep everyone safe. We wish all of our friends and family could have been there with us, however it’s lovely that we will be able to share photos and videos."

Bindi says her mom, Terri, was present ... ditto her brother, Robert. She also says they lit a candle in her dad's honor. That's about it as far as friends and loved ones go ... but it's cool, 'cause the gal ends here by spreading a pretty important message.

"Right now we’re encouraging the world to hold onto hope and love, which will carry us forward during this profound time in history."

NBA superstar Karl-Anthony Towns says his mother had to be placed on a ventilator and then into a medically-induced coma after she displayed severe symptoms of COVID-19.

The Minnesota Timberwolves center revealed the devastating news in an emotional video late Tuesday night ... saying both of his parents came down with flu-like symptoms early last week.

KAT says he urged the two to go to the hospital, and while he says his dad eventually got better -- his mom, Jacqueline Cruz, didn't ... with her condition "deteriorating" daily.

Karl-Anthony says a fever ravaged her ... with Cruz's 103-degree temp only falling to 101.9 after meds -- and then re-spiking almost immediately after.

KAT, who didn't specifically say his parents had tested positive for coronavirus, says doctors tried all kinds of drugs to get his mom better ... but, eventually, the 24-year-old says her lungs got so bad, she was forced to be put on a ventilator.

Then, KAT says doctors put her in a medically induced coma.

"We always thought the next medicine would help," he said. "The next one would help. This is the one that's going to get it done. This one will make sure to get it done."

Towns says he's optimistic for his mom ... but you can see in the video, he's VERY concerned.

"My mother is the strongest woman I know, and I know she will beat this," he said. "And, we will rejoice when she does."

The NBA player says he made the video this week to explain the virus is VERY real ... and begged people to take stay-at-home orders seriously.

Knowledge is power, and for a little while, it'll also be free ... so long as you use the online company hooking up parents with a homeschooling curriculum.

That's right -- panic-stricken moms and dads scrambling to keep their children learning and up to date in their academics, now have a free option for online education from a company called Calvert.

While several millions of households are dealing with closed schools due to the coronavirus ... Calvert is offering its online homeschool system for free for the next 3 months. Starting Tuesday night, Calvert will allow parents to sign up and use their services to teach their kids.

Calvert tells us it started with a 30-day free trial -- but, presumably, because of the overwhelming amount of new users ... they decided to extend that through July. At that point, parents will have to pay.

The company offers K-12 course bundle packages that normally go for anywhere from $1,300 to $2,800 for a whole year. The higher the grade level, the more subjects there are to dive into and study.

Oprah's longtime partner, Stedman, isn't getting any snuggles during these days of sheltering at home -- he's in the guesthouse ... but you could call it the dog house, too.

Oprah's been quarantining at her home in Santa Barbara, CA during the coronavirus pandemic, but in an interview with her magazine she revealed her longtime partner is separately self-isolating in their guesthouse for an important reason ... to protect her health.

O says she's more at-risk because she had pneumonia late last year and just recently got off meds following a bronchial infection ... but it's still mostly Stedman's fault he's not able to be by her side now.

She claims Stedman's "one of those" people who didn't take the COVID-19 crisis seriously enough and was "late to the party" in getting onboard with taking precautions.

In fact, Oprah says Stedman flew from Chicago to California just on Thursday and when he asked her what the procedure was for coming home, she says she told him ... "The procedure is...you ain't coming and sleeping in my bed!"

Oprah says she added ... "Have you not been paying attention to the news? Social-distancing does not mean you go and sleep in the same bed with the person. When you just got off American Airlines!"

O says it's all good, though, and Stedman's happy to be keeping her safe. She says she and her girls bring him meals daily and they have "love chats" ... with a window between them.

For the record, he's not tested positive for coronavirus either ... they are just being extra-careful, and it's only for a couple weeks, right?

Vin Scully's kids are going the extra mile to ensure we don't lose the legendary broadcaster to COVID-19 ... the former Dodgers play-by-play man says they won't even hug him during the pandemic.

"We have a pretty large master bedroom, so they can sit quite a few feet away just to say hello,” 92-year-old Scully told the L.A. Times. “But there’s no hugging and kissing or nothing like that."

It's a pretty awesome and selfless gesture from the children ... because at 92, Scully could be affected gravely if he were to be exposed to the coronavirus.

But, Scully says he's all healthy and good right now ... and says social distancing and self-quarantining are ensuring that stays the case.

"We’re trying very hard to follow the rules," Scully said. "And then the kids are scared that they're going to bring in something that will just blow me away. So it’s a very difficult time to go without hugs."

Scully -- who famously broadcast Dodgers games for more than 60 years -- says he misses baseball dearly during these times ... but says once mitts start popping again, we'll know we've beaten the virus.

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union aren't letting quarantine crush their competitive spirit -- they're still that couple that goes head-to-head ... it's just in their living room now.

Gabby and D-Wade set up their own version of pop-a-shot -- clearly jonesin' for an arcade or even a real hard court, but making necessary adjustments due to the coronavirus pandemic.

We won't give away who won the husband-wife shootout, but we'll say this ... Gabrielle ain't no chump from three-point land. She also seems like a wannabe color commentator, based on her call while Dwyane was shooting.

It looks like 12-year-old Zaya is on the action, too ... we think that's her holding up the hoop for pops and Gabrielle.

The coronavirus pandemic is negatively impacting almost everyone in the world, but on the bright side -- people are looking for furry friends to keep them company during these social distancing days ... especially families with kids and the elderly.

TMZ spoke with people who run animal shelters across the country, and though they are experiencing challenges like everyone else ... the good news is animal lovers are coming in big numbers to adopt and foster pets.

Nikole Bresciani -- CEO of the Inland Valley Humane Society in Pomona, CA -- tells us ... meeting pets and adoptions are by appointment only now and all applications are online as COVID-19 precautions, but folks are still reaching out.

In fact, Nikole says with kids being home from school, there's been an uptick in families reaching out about adding a cat or dog to their lives ... and more scheduled appointments are on the books for the upcoming week.

The same goes for senior citizens. Randa Richter of SPCA Florida tells us ... they've seen at least a 20 percent increase in elderly people looking to adopt a pet because their normal social activities -- like Bingo -- are all canceled. So, Randa says they want a furry friend to pass the time with at home.

Like Nikole, Randa says there's also an abundance of families with children home from school looking to get the kids out ... so they go visit the pets up for adoption and often end up taking them home. Same goes for a couple with no kids working from home, who now want to add another member to their household ... but not a kid.

On top of this, Randa tells us they've had a huge rise in volunteers -- mostly high school kids who can earn credit for volunteering and now have much more free time, and seniors. The volunteer work includes walking dogs, kitty care and cleaning the facilities.

Finally, Jack Hagerman of the Pasadena Humane Society SPCA tells us ... even though it has shut its physical doors to limit staff and the public to coronavirus exposure, it hasn't closed up shop, and the community has stepped up in a big way to find foster homes for all its animals.

Jack says they've had more people than ever -- 368, which again includes families with kids and the elderly -- reach out and offer to foster animals in need now that it has closed.

Jack says it currently has 180 animals including dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, and even baby squirrels, and fortunately ... so many people are at home and happy to help. He tells us he hopes the foster pets will all find forever homes soon, especially during these trying times.

It would be a win-win for everyone ... and that's desperately needed right now.
