A doctor in Tom Girardi's conservatorship case says he's suffering from Alzheimer's ... and his dementia impairs his ability to understand court hearings.
In documents obtained by TMZ, Tom's doctor says dementia and late-onset Alzheimer's is affecting Tom's memory, concentration, recall, recognition, communication, logic and understanding.
He's also dealing with emotional distress because of the dementia -- his doctor says Tom's feeling angry, anxious, fearful, panicked and helpless.
As we've reported ... 'RHOBH' star Erika Jayne's estranged husband is already dealing with a bunch of legal issues, including a judge freezing certain assets, multiple lawsuits and a divorce.
A judge wants prosecutors to look into allegations Tom misappropriated at least $2 million in client money intended to compensate the families of victims of Lion Air's Boeing 737 Max crash.
As for the lawsuits he's facing ... one is from Robert Keese, the other named partner in Tom's law firm, who claims Tom owes him around $506,000. Tom and Erika are also being sued for allegedly filing a sham divorce to hide money from creditors.

A soccer journalist was smashed by a falling wall on the set of a live TV show Tuesday ... but somehow, the guy miraculously escaped without injury.
The analyst's name is Carlos Orduz ... and just seconds into his appearance on ESPN FC Radio -- he was blindsided by a piece of the set that clearly hadn't been secured properly.

In video of the incident, you can see the wall fell on Orduz with so much pace ... his face lurched straight into his desk.
His colleagues, who were trying to move on with the show professionally, expressed immediate concern -- and the network cut straight to commercial to check in on Orduz.
Fortunately, the sports reporter says nothing major happened to him as a result of the accident ... in a video update, he explained, "I want to tell you that I'm fine."
"They've already checked me, absolutely nothing happened apart from the scare."
Orduz added after further medical checkups Tuesday night, he suffered no fractures and nothing more than bumps and bruises.
"I must tell you that I am fine," Orduz wrote on Twitter. "Thank God."

Comedian Paul Rodriguez Undergoes Heart Surgery ... Recovering Well

Paul Rodriguez -- one of the 'Original Latin Kings of Comedy' -- underwent heart surgery, but the good news is he's on the mend.
A rep for the legendary comic tells TMZ ... Paul recently had quadruple bypass surgery, but is recovering nicely at his home. They add, "Paul wants everyone to know he is grateful for all the amazing care he has received and will be back better than ever very soon."
While it's great to hear he's getting better, it's unfortunate to learn this is the latest setback for the actor/comedian. Just last year, he revealed to FOX26 that a house he'd once purchased for his late parents burned in a fire. The outlet reported that the home was uninsured, so Paul essentially lost the property.
Not only that, but he also told them he'd fallen on hard times financially as well -- saying an accountant he'd worked with for years told him he was nearly "broke."
Paul told FOX26 he was going to try to get back on his feet through a 40-acre lemon farm he owns in the valley.
Here's hoping he bounces back soon.

Bam Margera is learning hot tubs and fresh ink don't mix -- he needed a hospital stay to treat a staph infection from his latest tattoo.
The "Jackass" star was hospitalized over the weekend after experiencing pain in the same leg that's home to his new Farsi tatt. Bam's no stranger to pain -- it's kinda been his job for years -- so ya gotta imagine he was really hurting bad.
Bam says he had a staph infection, and sources close to him tell us the leg was likely infected when he went into a hot tub.
As anyone with tattoos likely knows, you're supposed to take it easy after getting inked up ... and hot tubs really sound like a bad idea, especially with leg tatts. Tough lesson here for Bam.
The good news ... we're told he's already been released from the hospital and should make a full recovery.

Alex Smith Released By Washington Football Team After Incredible Comeback Season
-
Breaking News
- 3.2K shares
9:09 AM PT -- WFT football coach Ron Rivera is describing the move to release Alex Smith as a mutual decision "that would be best for both parties."
Rivera says he met with Smith this week and they had a "very honest and real discussion."
"After the conclusion of that meeting, we decided that it would be best for both parties to move on and we will be granting Alex his request to be released."
Rivera praised Smith as a leader and a role model for younger players.
"He made such an impact on our young roster and his leadership was one of the key factors in our last season's success and in making the playoffs for this first time since 2015."
"Everyone here in Washington wishes Alex and his family the best going forward and appreciates all that he gave to our organization."
Alex Smith's run in D.C. is over ... the QB has officially been released by the Washington Football Team.
Now, the 36-year-old signal-caller with quite possibly the greatest comeback story EVER will try and continue his NFL career somewhere else.
Remember, Smith suffered a catastrophic injury to his right leg in 2018 -- a spiral and compound fracture to his tibia and fibula -- when he was sacked during a game against the Houston Texans.
The injury was so bad, Smith ultimately needed 17 operations to repair the damage -- and at one point, doctors seriously considered amputating the limb at the knee!
Smith missed the entire 2019 season -- but trained his ass off ... and ultimately returned to the field in 2020.
Miraculously, Smith got the green light from his doctors to resume football activities in July 2020 -- and was activated in August 2020.
Smith served as a backup for most of the season -- but when the starters all went down ... he stepped up and led the WFT in an unlikely Week 13 victory against the then-undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers!
Overall, Smith was 5-1 in games he started in 2020 -- and was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year.
His wife also commissioned an artist to turn his knee brace into a piece that resembled the Lombardi Trophy to commemorate his comeback.
So, what's next for Alex Smith? He reportedly still wants to play ... the question is, will any team make an offer??
Hey, he's defied the odds before ...

Gorilla Glue Woman Cancer Scare Over ... Breast Biopsy Benign
-

It's the best news Tessica Brown's gotten since getting the Gorilla Glue out of her hair -- the masses found in her breasts are not cancerous.
Tessica's manager, Gina Rodriguez, tells TMZ ... test results for the 2 lumps, one in each breast, came back negative, and Tessica is ecstatic. She says doctors say the benign cysts are the result of fibrocystic breast disease which comes with its own complications.
We're told the disease generally makes it tougher for doctors to ID potentially cancerous lumps. As a result, Tessica will now have to get a mammogram every 6 months.
As we first reported, Tessica had gone back to Dr. Michael Obeng -- who defeated the Gorilla Glue -- to get a mommy makeover that included a boob lift/implants and some abdominal lipo. It was during a pre-surgery consultation that he discovered the lumps.
Dr. Obeng removed the cysts during Tessica's other procedures and sent them to the lab for testing.
Tessica remained optimistic -- even while waiting for results -- telling us she felt everything had happened for a reason: the Gorilla Glue ordeal brought her to Dr. Obeng ... who then found the lumps.
That positive thinking paid off.

Alex Ovechkin's wallet is now $5,000 lighter ... the NHL just hit him with a fine after it says he "speared" a Boston player in the man junk during their game Wednesday night.

35-year-old Ovechkin declined the scrap ... but the drama didn't end there, 'cause later in the night in the 3rd period, Frederic tried to get under Ovi's skin once again.
The Bruins' 23-year-old stole a puck from Ovechkin and then cross-checked him with his stick several times.
OOOF.

The Caps superstar eventually had enough, and slashed the hell out of Frederic's groin!!!
Both players were hit with penalties for the incident ... each being forced to sit for 2 minutes.
The NHL clearly felt Ovi's penalty, though, needed more ... with the league slapping him with a fine Thursday morning, explaining the dollar amount was "the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement."
All in all, it was probably worth it for Ovechkin -- dude's made over $120 MILLION in his NHL career AND his team came out with the 2-1, shootout win.
In other words ... ice up, Frederic.

Alpine F1 Team CEO Laurent Rossi also spoke about Alonso's recovery at the team's car launch on Tuesday .. saying he fully expects FA to compete right off the bat.

Alonso has been training like crazy following the crash ... and has posted updates of his own via Instagram.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
"We are even surprised that he's recovered so quickly," Rossi added. "He confirmed to us almost immediately after the incident that he will be here in Bahrain, which has been confirmed with his doctors."

Oz tells us the man who collapsed had no pulse, was turning a horrible color and had foam coming out of his mouth when he started doing CPR ... but things turned around when Oz was able to control the man's airway and the defibrillator arrived.
Dr. Oz says the defibrillator shocked the man at the highest power possible, and it worked ... in essence, bringing the man back from the dead!!!
Oz tells us why he couldn't have saved the man's life without the help of Port Authority police ... and our law enforcement sources confirmed the man was 60 years old and taken to a hospital, where there's been no update on his condition.
And, get this ... we're told Oz didn't tell the cop helping him exactly who he was, he just said he was a doctor.
10:39 AM PT -- We've obtained a photo from the scene of the medical emergency ... it's unclear if Oz is in the image, but you can see medical personnel around the man.
Dr. Oz saved a life at the Newark airport after a man collapsed face down at baggage claim ... and the good doc was in the right place at the right time.
Sources close to Dr. Oz tells TMZ ... Oz rolled the man over Monday night, cleared his airway and began giving him CPR before using a defibrillator. We're told the guy flatlined and Oz shocked him back to life as a huge crowd watched.
We're told there were no other doctors there, but a Port Authority police officer was there who helped Oz continue CPR while he cleared the man's airway.
It appears the man might have suffered a heart attack ... he's recovering at a New Jersey hospital and doing "okay" as he awaits test results. We're told Oz is in touch with the man's wife, who was traveling with him at the time.

Hampton took Johnson's shoulder at full speed ... and tumbled to the ground awkwardly -- clearly fortunate to not suffer any serious injures.
FYI -- Johnson is a BIG man (6'0, 245 lbs) with a history of tossing around football players ... he was a former All-American linebacker at YSU who played in the NFL and was later inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 2010.
You can see in the replay of the check, Hampton was clearly disturbed by Johnson's actions ... and pointed him out to refs immediately after hitting the ground.
Despite no penalty called, YSU launched an investigation into the incident ... and on Monday, the school announced it was banning Johnson from the sidelines for the rest of the spring football season.
The school also said Johnson -- who's in his first year on the YSU football staff -- had accepted the punishment.
"I apologize to UNI, Youngstown State, the Missouri Valley Football Conference and our community for what occurred on Saturday," Johnson said.
"As a member of the YSU Football staff, my actions are held in high regard and that should have never occurred. Again, I deeply apologize to all who have been impacted by my actions."

Tiger Woods has been transferred to a new hospital to continue his recovery -- and will now be treated at the famous Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A.
Tiger's medical team at UCLA confirmed the move and praised the golfer as he left.
"Mr. Tiger Woods was transferred to Cedars Sinai Medical Center for continuing orthopedic care and recovery," Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Chief Medical Officer Anish Mahajan said.
"On behalf of our staff, it was an honor to provide orthopedic trauma care to one of our generation's greatest athletes."
Tiger was initially transported to Harbor-UCLA in the minutes after his car crash on Feb. 23 in Palos Verdes, CA.
Officials say he was taken to Harbor-UCLA because it was the best equipped, and closest hospital to treat Tiger's injuries.
Tiger suffered major injuries to his right leg in the crash -- including comminuted open fractures ... which means the bones were shattered and breaking through the skin.
Harbor-UCLA doctors used a rod to stabilize Tiger's leg and a combination of pins and screws to repair his badly damaged right ankle and foot.
As for his recovery, Dr. Oz -- who is not treating Tiger -- believes the golfer could make a full recovery and be back on the golf course in a year.

Bronny James' sophomore basketball season is in jeopardy -- the 16-year-old high school superstar has reportedly gone under the knife to repair a torn meniscus.
LeBron James' son -- a 4-star recruit in the Class of 2023 -- first revealed the injury during a Twitch stream 3 weeks ago ... saying, "Bro, I tore my meniscus."
The Sierra Canyon H.S. guard recently had surgery to fix the issue, according to the Los Angeles Daily News ... and is expected to make a full recovery.
There's one major issue -- Bronny is at risk of missing some serious time and maybe even the entire season ... depending on when the state of California allows indoor sports to resume due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
FYI -- recovery time for a torn meniscus is usually around 3 months, according to WebMD ... so depending on when the season starts, he could miss all of his sophomore campaign.
On the bright side, Bronny has already caught the eyes of Duke, Kentucky, Kansas and more ... and while missing the season would be a huge bummer, he's still LeBron James Jr.
Get well soon!!

Tiger Woods GF Pays Him a Visit in Hospital ... As Recovery Begins
Tiger Woods was greeted with a familiar face Wednesday as he recovers from his car crash ... his girlfriend stopped by, and it looks like she came bearing gifts.
Erica Herman popped into Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in West Carson, where TW is currently hospitalized. She also seemed to be accompanied by Tiger's caddie ... Joe LaCava.
They were both masked up heading in -- but later, Erica's mask disappeared. In its place was a paper cup you might get at a food court. Joe had one too, plus a paper bag of grub. Unclear if they were bringing something for Tiger, or just munching themselves.
Tiger's SO (significant other, for you old folks) since 2017 is a former employee at his Florida restaurant The Woods ... the general manager, no less. They were first linked at the Presidents Cup in NJ, and have gotten serious since ... reportedly now living together.
Good to see him getting some company that'll hopefully lift his spirits and help him feel better sooner -- lord knows he needs it after essentially having his right leg destroyed in the wreck.
As we reported ... Tiger suffered comminuted open fractures in two different bones, meaning they tore the skin. His ankle was shattered as well -- and, all in all, he required a rod, screws/pins and extensive orthopedic surgery from trauma specialists to help keep it all together.
No word on how long he'll be bed-ridden, but something tells us we'll be seeing Erica here again soon.
