1:35 PM PT -- Looks like Steve Aoki got bruised pretty badly during the fall. A not-so-happy Steve shared the aftermath of the incident on Instagram ... leaving him with a gash on his forearm and two on his knee.
Steve Aoki had a night full of ups and one down ... falling hard off the stage during his DJ set at a nightclub, before getting back up to continue.
Steve hit the floor (literally) Sunday night at DAER Nightclub in Hollywood, Florida. During his set, he fell really hard off the stage and landed on the ground ... but, he didn't stay down for long.
Moments later, he hops back up and goes back to work on the turntables. For the most part, he didn't seem too affected by the tumble ... bobbing his head and getting back in the zone.
At one point after the fall, he even puts on his boxing gloves and squares off with boxer Ryan Garcia ... and punches weren't the only things the guys ate on stage. Steve even threw a huge cake in Ryan's face, before they danced it all out, together.
Some other notable guests in the building included ... Dennis Rodman, Shaggy, Vernon Davis, and Sommer Ray.
Celebrity Sports Entertainment put on the event, which was an F1 after-party ... clearly, it was a fun night, full of many surprises.

Richie Sambora I'm Gonna Teach Anna Nicole Smith's Daughter to Strum!!! ... Free Guitar Lessons, With a Catch
-
Exclusive
- 3.9K shares
Anna Nicole Smith's daughter, Dannielynn Birkhead, may be too young to know how to pull strings, but she'll now be able to play them thanks to none other than Richie Sambora!
Her dad, Larry Birkhead, tells TMZ ... this weekend's Kentucky Derby was insanely momentous for his 15-year-old daughter ... as we reported, she wore the same getup that Janet Jackson wore to the Derby in years past, and even met Janet this time around.
But that wasn't the end of it. Sambora performed at the Barnstable Brown Gala during Derby weekend -- the same place Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead met in 2003.
Dannielynn was front and center and even brought her own guitar to the event, hoping to get a John Hancock from Richie. She got way more than she bargained for, because the next day she ran into Richie and he offered her lessons to master the instrument!
Here's the catch. Larry and Dannielynn live in Kentucky, and Richie is ensconced in L.A., so the rocker said anytime she makes it out to La La Land, he'll be there for her.
Richie gave her words of encouragement, urging her to follow her dreams of being an accomplished guitarist. Larry says it was so overwhelming, his daughter almost fainted.
Richie told them he doesn't usually offer lessons but he made a special exception for Dannielynn.
Gotta love the perks of celebrity.

Kendrick Lamar Becomes O.J., Will, Ye & Jussie ... In New Music Video
Kendrick Lamar is a man of many faces, including some very famous ones he features in his new music video ... addressing the most infamous moments of the past few years.
KL dropped a song Sunday called 'The Heart Part 5,' where he talks about the culture at lightning-quick speed, hopscotching through different scenarios and employing the monikers of celebs to make his point -- including Will Smith, Kanye West and Jussie Smollett.
It's true ... the video shows Kendrick's face change to all of these men at different points in the song, using some fancy technology that we suppose you could equate to a deep fake.
He also features O.J. Simpson briefly while bringing up a "bulletproof Rover," seemingly referencing the Ford Bronco from way back when. Then, he transitions to Ye's face while mentioning "friends bipolar," and finally to Jussie as he says "the streets got me f***ed up."
In the video for new song "The Heart Part 5," @kendricklamar's face morphs into OJ Simpson, @kanyewest, Jussie Smollett, Will Smith, and the late Nipsey Hussle https://t.co/4HXPojyVMB pic.twitter.com/lKPT0i4lGh
— Stereogum (@stereogum) May 9, 2022 @stereogum
Eventually, his face becomes Will's as he raps this ... "In the land where hurt people hurt more people // F*** callin' it culture." Of course, he's addressing the Oscars slap there.
There are two other stars he morphs into ... the late Kobe Bryant and Nipsey Hussle. In both instances, he's referring to death and reflecting on the legacy he leaves behind ... praying it's a worthy one.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
The Nipsey line is especially telling ... Kendrick raps, "To my brother, to my kids, I'm in Heaven // To my mother, to my sis, I'm in Heaven// To my father, to my wife, I am serious, this is Heaven" ... going on to say he forgives the killer who sped up his demise.
In this instance, he appears to be rapping as Nipsey ... and addressing Nipsey's alleged murderer, Eric Holder. Lots of food for thought in this one -- K.Dot's new album drops Friday.

Eminem His Music's as Hard-Hitting as Metal .... Says Rock & Roll HOF CEO
Eminem packs just as much of a punch as any heavy metal band out there -- at least that's what the guy who runs the Rock & Roll HOF says ... which isn't going over so well.
Greg Harris -- the CEO of the Hall -- said as much this much this week in an interview with Audacy ... where he discussed the many inductees who are getting enshrined at this year's ceremony -- including, of course, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon and Slim Shady, among others.
During his chat, Harris was singing everyone's praises -- including Judas Priest, who are also getting inducted after being snubbed twice before -- but especially for Mr. Mathers ... whose music he dubbed "as hard-hitting and straight-ahead as any metal song."
Harris went to say that Em's going to be the 10th hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Hall -- the first was Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five in '07 -- adding that Slim's been an integral part of the Hall for a while now ... helping induct Run-DMC and LL Cool J.
Indeed, Em has assisted in celebrating hip-hop acts on the big stage ... and he is definitely deserving himself, even in his 1st year of eligibility. Here's the problem, though, at least in some folks' minds -- Harris seems to be downplaying the impact/importance of metal.
Whether Eminem's music actually matches the energy of a traditional metal song/act is up for debate ... but what some die-hards hear in his remarks is disrespect for the genre.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
Some argue this is further evidenced in the fact that Judas Priest is only now getting their flowers ... even though they've been eligible for induction for over 20 years now.
Frontman Rob Halford recently shouted out the significance of JP getting in, albeit late, and what it means for metal bands everywhere ... or even legendary hard rock acts in general, several of which were also inducted after years of missing the ballot ... or which have yet to be acknowledged at all, like Motorhead or Iron Maiden for instance.
Meanwhile, it appears -- at least to some, anyway -- that Hall voters are eager to induct certain artists right away ... making it come off more like a popularity contest than anything.
Anyway, back to the question at hand -- is Eminem actually as hard-hitting as Priest??? 🎵

Country Star Mickey Gilley Dead at 86 ... 'Urban Cowboy' Fame
-
Breaking News
- 27.4K shares
Mickey Gilley -- a mega country star in the '70s and '80s -- has died ... this according to his own Texas community, which officially made the announcement.
The singer and founder of the "world's biggest honky tonk" died Saturday surrounded by loved ones -- sad news that the mayor of Pasadena, TX broke this weekend via the city's official Facebook page. Jeff Wagner writes, "It was my great honor to know this man most of my life. Mickey was a true musical talent who charted 42 singles in the Top 40 Country Charts over a span of two decades." The exact circumstances of his death weren't revealed.
Waiting for your permission to load the Facebook Post.
Wagner went on to give a nod to Gilley for putting Pasadena on the map via the John Travolta flick, "Urban Cowboy," and added ... "We were so honored to have Mickey perform at our State of the City in February, 2020. Our prayers for comfort and peace are with Mickey's family, his loved ones and his fans." He attached photos of the event mentioned.
Gilley will probably be best remembered for launching Gilley's Club -- a dance hall that rose to prominence after it was heavily featured in 'UC' ... and which went on to become a tourist attraction for country fans everywhere.
The guy also had some of his own music in the film, including his rendition of Ben E. King's "Stand by Me," which became a smash hit at the time ... peaking at #1 on Billboard's Country chart, and even climbing other charts as well.
Even before his resurgence in the '80s, MG had a lot of success in the '70s from songs like "Room Full of Roses," "Don't The Girls All Get Prettier at Closing Time," "Honky Tonk Memories," "Here Comes the Hurt Again," "Bring It on Home to Me," among others.
He's won several awards ... mostly with the Academy of Country Music, including Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Top Male Vocalist, and Album of the Year, etc.
Mickey's survived by his wife, Cindy Loeb Gilley, and his 4 children. He was 86.

Kanye West Hits Japan With GF Chaney Jones ... Business & Pleasure
It's still full steam ahead for Kanye West and his girlfriend Chaney Jones ... the two have gone international, visiting one of Kanye's favorite countries, Japan.
Chaney posted a photo of the two overlooking a Japanese street Thursday on Instagram. The pic didn't have a caption, but it's clear to see the two are very much into each other.
We're not entirely sure what the trip entails for Ye, but he's often over there for work and for inspiration, so you have to imagine he's mixing business with pleasure -- as the country is closed to tourists. A source with direct knowledge tells us they first got to Japan around April 22.
It's the first time we've seen Kanye in a while -- he's remained silent since getting suspended from Instagram for going after Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson and others on the platform.
Chaney and Kanye have been together for several months now, he was previously dating Julia Fox.

Dolly Parton & Eminem Part of R&R HOF Class of 2022 ... Join Eclectic Group
Dolly Parton's change of heart was well-received by the powers that be at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame -- she's joining a diverse group of first-rounders ... including acts like Eminem.
The legendary country singer was announced as one of 7 artists who are going to be inducted into the Hall later this November -- and she actually helps make up a good handful of stars who just became eligible for the first time this year.
The other musicians being let in right off the bat ... Lionel Richie, Duran Duran, Carly Simon and, of course, Slim Shady. Dolly's in that mix as well -- this after announcing a U-turn. The other 2 artists who'll be inducted are new wave duo Eurythmics and Pat Benatar.
— Dolly Parton (@DollyParton) March 14, 2022 @DollyParton
You'll recall ... DP first said she was declining the offer to be inducted, explaining that the R&R HOF just wasn't her style and surprisingly, that she felt she hadn't earned the right -- which is patently false. Her request was a bit late -- the Hall didn't take her off the ballot.
In light of that -- and after some more thought, it seems -- Dolly ended up changing her mind and accepting the nomination ... and now, she'll be accepting the full-blown honor of being part of the Class of 2022.
Sometimes, you just gotta accept your flowers -- humility be damned. Congrats to everyone ... especially Dolly, who's more than deserving to be enshrined.

Well, Ozzy passed on the bug, and now Sharon's got it, along with Kelly.
The good news ... Ozzy's doing better, according to Sharon. His cough is gone and his temp is back to normal.

Wynonna & Ashley Judd Tearfully Honor Late Mother Naomi ... At Country Music HOF
Naomi Judd's death was top of mind at the Country Music Hall of Fame ceremony -- with her two daughters accepting the honor on her behalf ... and shedding tears while paying homage to her.
Ashley and Wynonna Judd were on hand Sunday at the CMA Theater in Nashville, where the Judds were inducted into the Hall. Of course, Naomi -- who made up half the duo -- had suddenly passed the day prior ... so her kids stepped up.
Their speeches were sorrowful and moving -- both AJ and WJ were weeping ... explaining how much Naomi knew she was beloved by all, which is what they say kept her hanging on for as long as she did.
Ashley also asked folks to come and see their widowed father, Larry Strickland. When Wynonna spoke, she offered up some much-needed humor ... but then said what everyone else was thinking -- that she was broken and at a loss for words.
Wynonna accepted her medallion -- and everyone gave her a huge round of applause. It was incredibly emotional all the way around ... and sorta astonishing that the Judd sisters even made it considering the shock of their mother dying.
As we reported ... Ashley and Wynonna announced Naomi's death Saturday, citing mental illness, but nothing more. Naomi was out publicly alongside Wynonna in recent weeks ... and was fully expected to make the ceremony, with no outward ailments anyone was aware of.
Naomi had been open about her mental health struggles over the years, saying she'd battled depression for a long time. The exact circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear.

JoJo Fletcher, Becca Tilley, Diplo and Brielle Biermann were amongst a list of celebs to pull up to the star-studded fest and enjoy some good vibes.
Heather Rae and Tarek El Moussa clearly enjoyed their time on the festival grounds ... where they were spotted locking lips and wrapped in each other's arms.
Some other celebs included ... Sutton Stracke, Kyle Richards, and Dorit Kemsley, and Maren Morris. Of course, Maren Morris took the stage and gave a performance.

DaBaby Posts Vid of Alleged Victim ... Hurling N-Word
The man that was allegedly beat up by DaBaby and his crew was apparently throwing the N-word around during his confrontation with the group ... at least according to new video.
The North Carolina rapper posted the footage himself Saturday, which appears to show Gary Prager pacing back and forth on the grounds of the mansion where the alleged beating took place in December ... and sure enough, you hear him scream "n*****s" in a rage.
DB's caption reads, "On today's episode of 'Let's Make DaBaby Look Like a Bad Person'" ... going on to accuse Prager of being a "PROUD white supremacist" ... adding that he (Prager) was "lying to TMZ & LAPD. Not knowing that he's caught on camera."
Later it reads, "These are the type of people y'all validate & let assassinate DaBaby's character." DaBaby also says Prager spat in his face, but the vid doesn't seem to show that.
For starters, nobody lied to us about this story -- DaBaby has, in fact, been charged with felony battery as it relates to this case ... so his beef is actually with Prager and law enforcement officials. DaBaby will have a chance to confront Prager's claims in court.
As for the guy screaming out the slur ... yeah, that's bad. It's unclear if him saying this occurred before or after the alleged assault -- but we suppose it doesn't really matter ... no excuse for invoking racism in any event.
DaBaby apparently thinks this will help make him look better in the public's eye -- but he seems to have bigger issues beyond just this one event, if we're being honest.
Dude's under fire for a lot lately.

Kid Rock Pitted Against Bruce Springsteen Who You Got, Musically?!?
Kid Rock and Bruce Springsteen are going head-to-head in a very unofficial fan poll taking place on the internet -- and wouldn't you know it ... it's politics as usual, yet again.
Somebody posed the strange question this weekend ... asking Twitter quite simply, "Bruce Springsteen or Kid Rock" -- and boy, did the bird app people give her a piece of their mind. Lo and behold, this turned into political mudslinging -- as these things often do.
Bruce Springsteen or Kid Rock pic.twitter.com/NSxXAtIc3b
— Kelly Kay (@AromaLady2) April 29, 2022 @AromaLady2
Of course, Kid is much more so associated with right-wing views -- so as you can imagine, people who lean that way were coming out in fierce defense of KR ... dubbing Bruce as a leftist, etc. Ditto for fans of the Boss -- they too were name-calling.
Interestingly, the original question-poser tried to weed out the associations and connotations that each artist might carry outside of music, and answered her own question based solely on skill. In her mind, she doesn't think Bruce is all that he's cracked up to be.
Putting politics aside, When I heard Bruce and his strained, almost in tune songs come on the radio..I changed the channel.
— Kelly Kay (@AromaLady2) April 30, 2022 @AromaLady2
Most music fans would probably disagree with her ... and the evidence is in the cold, hard numbers here. While musical taste is certainly subjective -- you can't deny that Bruce runs laps around Kid when it comes to hit singles, sales and overall popularity big picture.
On the Billboard Chart alone, Bruce takes the cake -- he's got a total of 26 songs that made it on the Billboard's Hot 100 list, 12 of which cracked the Top 10 ... with "Secret Garden" and "Dancing in the Dark" sticking around for 23 and 21 weeks, respectively.
Kid, meanwhile, only has 6 songs that made it into the Hot 100, and just one made into the Top 10. That'd be "Picture," which hung in tight on the chart for a total of 34 weeks.
And on pure numbers alone for units sold -- Bruce, again, beats Kid ... he's got about 150 million record sales worldwide, compared to KR's 27 million. So it's not really a contest or a matter of opinion in this regard ... Bruce has, objectively, outperformed the Kid.
Like we said, the discourse around this bizarre juxtaposition seems to have devolved into nothing more than a Democrat vs. Republican chat -- with each camp coming to their own artist's defense.
That's the way of the world lately, we suppose -- but again, to each their own. With that said, we'll put the question out there right here ... who's better, Kid or Bruce???
Leaving out politics altogether, naturally ... that's what we're curious about. Sound off!

Naomi Judd -- the Grammy-winning country star and one half of the mom-and-daughter duo The Judds -- has died ... this according to her kids.
Wynonna and Ashley Judd released a statement Saturday, saying ... "Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness." They add, "We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory." No other details were offered.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
NJ's passing comes as a bit of a shock -- while she's been public in recent years about different personal struggles she's grappled with throughout her life, including depression dating back to her childhood, nobody seemed to know the extent of what she was battling.
Naomi had also made clear that her issues had left her and her country duo-daughter, Wynonna, estranged for a time ... but they'd recently reconciled and were actually due to hit the road again this year for an arena tour across the country -- the first in over a decade.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
Plus, Wynonna and Naomi were supposed to appear together Sunday as inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame ceremony -- so the timing of this tragedy is stunning.
The Judds first formed in 1983 and had a massively successful career for about a decade thereafter -- during which they cranked out six studio albums, over 20 hit singles (many of which charted in the Top 10 and higher) ... and won 5 Grammys between '85 and '92.
Some notable songs ... "Love Can Build a Bridge," "Girls Night Out," "Grandpa," "Young Love," "Let Me Tell You About Love," "Maybe Your Baby's Got the Blues," "Give a Little Love," "Have Mercy," "Turn It Loose," "I Know Where I'm Going," among countless others.
The group disbanded in the '90s, during which each woman ventured out solo into their respective careers ... and Naomi even dabbled in television with one-off appearances, either as a side character or herself ... and eventually got into movies as well.
She's appeared in hit series like "Frasier," "3rd Rock From the Sun," "Touched by an Angel," "Sisters," "Maybe It's Me," and more. Naomi's also starred in flicks like "An Evergreen Christmas," "Someone Like You...," "A Holiday Romance," "The Family Tree," "Newlyweds," etc.
BTW, Ashley had her mom cameo in at least one of her films ... so they were obviously close. Naomi's survived by her husband, Larry Strickland, and her celebrity daughters.
She was 76.

Paul McCartney Virtual Duet with John Lennon ... I've Got a Feeling, WA!!!
Paul McCartney and John Lennon's relationship is often seen as bitter, but this week ... Macca seems to have made it clear ... him and John can still come together, even now.
The Beatles frontman was performing this week in Spokane, WA ... and toward the end of the show, during an encore performance, PMC started strumming to his band's song "I've Got a Feeling" -- which appears on The Beatles' last album, "Let It Be."
The song is also featured in their new 'Get Back' documentary ... featured as one of the songs Paul and co. performed on the rooftop of Apple Corps HQ in London.
Of course, he was also side by side with his then-bandmates -- including the late Lennon -- which is what this moment all the more cool ... Paul beamed in JL's video performance of the song live and worked it into the set.
As soon as John's face appeared on the screen behind Paul, the audience went crazy ... and it seems his vocals were coming through quite nicely through the sound system in the building.
Paul weaved in and out of John's singing seamlessly with his own, and at one point ... they were in a full-blown duet together, just like old times. Before John faded out, it appears Paul even turned to face the screen to give a thank you wave.
It was seriously awesome, and kinda puts to bed the idea that there's any bad blood between the pair -- despite the fact Paul recently cast blame on John for breaking up the band.
We won't relitigate all that again ... and leave it at this ... the boys can let it be!

Adele Vegas, I've Got a New Home ... Finalizing New Residency Deal
-
Exclusive
- 2.2K shares
Adele is close to finalizing a deal to bring her Vegas residency to a new home ... with her sights set on a premiere date in a few months.
Sources with direct knowledge of the singer's plans tell TMZ ... she and her team are in serious talks with the people over at Planet Hollywood, and will do the show at Zappos Theater -- barring any unforeseen setbacks.
As we reported, Adele was supposed to do a residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace earlier this year -- but the show was derailed and canceled after what she first claimed was a COVID outbreak, but then it came out the postponement was really over creative issues.
1/20/22
Our sources say there'll be some major perks for Adele at Zappos ... she'll have full creative control over the show. And, get this, we're told Adele will also rake in a large cut of ticket sales -- a significant enhancement considering Zappos holds 7,000 people compared to The Colosseum's 4,100.
As for the dates, the official schedule is still being worked out, but the aim is for a late summer start that will run through the end of 2022 -- makes sense considering she recently revealed she wants to have a baby in 2023.
You'd think there might be some bad blood between The Colosseum and Zappos with Adele -- but both venues fall under the Caesars Entertainment family -- so all is good.
2/11/22
Adele's been spending the last few months with her bf Rich Paul, taking in NBA games and even dropping in at a London gay bar for some fun.
One thing's for sure -- fans will be more than ready to pounce on tickets -- and pay a pretty penny to catch the singer in real life.

Morgan Wallen I'm Playing The Billboard Awards First Since 'N-Word' Controversy
-
Breaking News
Morgan Wallen is getting a second chance at showing his talents to an award show crowd -- he's been named as a performer for the Billboard Awards -- his first televised gig since 2020.
Billboard made the announcement Friday, with a statement from the show's production company, saying, "We oppose discrimination, harassment, or racism of any kind.”
They continue, “We believe in treating everyone with dignity and respect. After a thorough review and robust discussions internally and with the artist’s team, in which we found a demonstrated and ongoing commitment to meaningful work and outreach, we extended an invitation to participate in this year’s show.”
JANUARY 2021
Wallen's been shut out of performing at awards shows since we posted a video of him shouting the n-word with a group of friends after a night out in Nashville back in February 2021.
While he's put on some live shows, and was even able to be in the crowd at the Academy of Country Music Awards last month, he hasn't taken the mic.
The BBMAs will go down May 15 ... and will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Arena in Vegas.
