Chris Brown Arrested for Rape, Drugs

5:45 AM PT -- A longtime Parisian criminal defense lawyer tells TMZ, Chris has effectively been arrested. Within 2 days he must either be released or appear in court, where a prosecutor can ask the judge to either keep Brown in custody pending trial or let him go free with "obligations." If Brown's released with obligations, we're told he could be required to surrender his passport to French authorities and would remain in Paris pending trial, which typically takes a year.
The lawyer adds Brown could be required to go to the police station every 2 weeks to ensure he's still in France.
Chris Brown and two members of his team have been arrested by French police after a woman claims she was raped by the singer in a hotel.
French authorities confirm to TMZ Brown has been detained and is in custody for alleged aggravated rape and narcotics offenses. Authorities went on to say he is being processed, which is the French version of being arrested and booked.
The woman says she met Brown overnight between January 15-16 at club Le Crystal and then headed back to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel with the singer where she claims to have been raped.
Investigators have two days to decide to file preliminary charges or to let Brown go.
Chris was spotted at Le Cirque Club in Paris Saturday night -- just three days after the alleged rape -- with Ammika Harris, a woman who he is reportedly dating.
Brown was prosecuted for felony assault and making criminal threats after he brutally attacked Rihanna in Los Angeles. The beating left Rihanna with visible facial injuries to her eyes and mouth which required hospitalization.
Brown later pled guilty to a felony and was sentenced to community service, 5 years probation and domestic violence counseling.
Brown was sued back in May by a woman who claimed she was raped at a party at the singer's home. The woman claimed Brown supplied party attendees with Molly, cocaine and weed and that it was one of his friends who raped her.
The LAPD investigated the woman's claim after she filed a report, but could not determine if the sex was forced or consensual. The lawsuit is ongoing.

NFL's Cayleb Jones Cuts Deal In Dom. Violence Case ... Still Faces Jail Time
-
EXCLUSIVE
Ex-Minnesota Vikings receiver Cayleb Jones just cut a deal in court in his domestic violence case -- but he's still facing serious jail time ... TMZ Sports has learned.
The 25-year-old was facing 3 pretty serious charges -- including felony theft by temporary control -- after he allegedly beat the crap out of his girlfriend at a Minnesota hotel back in August.
Officials say the 6'3", 209 pound WR roughed up his GF and when she tried to escape in an elevator to call 911 ... Jones intercepted her, stole her phone and fled before cops arrived.
Cayleb was in court Tuesday to face the charges ... but we're told he cut a deal -- and instead, only pled guilty to interference with an emergency call -- a gross misdemeanor.
In exchange, we're told his two other charges will be dismissed.
Cayleb -- who's already served 5 days of jail time -- still faces up to a year in jail and a $3,000 fine when he returns to court for his sentencing hearing in April. It's unlikely he'll be ordered to serve more jail time unless the judge really wants to throw the book at him.
It's been a rough year for the WR -- as we previously reported, Cayleb tried to restrain his brother, Buffalo Bills WR Zay Jones, after he allegedly tried to jump from a 30th story window in an L.A. building last spring.
MARCH 2018
Cayleb -- who's yet to play in an NFL game -- was cut by the Vikings in September ... and remains a free agent.

Damon Dash Sued Dear Damon ... You're Not Part of 'Dear Frank'!!!
Damon Dash is duping the general public about an upcoming movie he claims to have ties to when he really had nothing to do with it at all ... according to a new lawsuit.
The legendary hip-hop mogul is being sued by director Josh Webber and Muddy Water Pictures for allegedly trying to advertise and shop a movie he was once a part of -- but later dropped from -- and pushing it as his own flick ... causing confusion in the marketplace.
In the doc, obtained by TMZ, Josh and MWP say Dame has been sending promotional material to outlets like BET for a movie he's been calling "The List" ... which Josh and MWP say has actually been renamed "Dear Frank" since Dame's departure.
Here's the deal ... Josh and MWP claim Dame was tied to the project back in 2016 and was supposed to direct. Unfortunately, they say Dame proved to not be up to the task ... as they allege he was often high on set while they shot at his Sherman Oaks property.
Josh and MWP say they officially dropped Dame in 2018, since no official contract was ever signed between the parties ... and they went on to make the film, which is due out in February and stars Claudia Jordan. But now, Josh and MWP say Dame has been trying to push himself as part of the project ... even though he isn't.
They're suing Dame for defamation and copyright infringement -- and are asking a judge to declare once and for all that they, in fact, own the rights to "Dear Frank." Josh and MWP also want damages.
As for Damon ... sources close to him tell TMZ that the only reason Josh and MWP are suing is because they knew he was coming with a lawsuit of his own. He alleges that they shot the movie at his house with his equipment, and that they then stole the footage to push it without him. We're told he's got evidence to back his claim, and will present all of it shortly.

Cristiano Ronaldo Fined $21 Mil for Tax Fraud ... Avoids Prison
Cristiano Ronaldo was ordered to pay a $21 MILLION fine as punishment in his tax fraud case -- but the good news for the soccer superstar, he won't have to serve a 23-month prison sentence.
And, for a guy who reportedly earns around $90 MILLION per year, that's a pretty good deal for him!
The 33-year-old appeared in court in Spain on Tuesday morning smiling and holding hands with his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez ... almost like he knew it was not a big deal.
And, the reason? CR7 had previously agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors ... so Tuesday's court date was just a formality to make it official.
CR7 had been accused of hiding around $16.7 MILLION income he made from his image rights in Spain between 2011 and 2014.
He was facing a 23-month prison sentence -- but hammered out a deal to pay the fine and move on with his life.
It also helps that in Spain, a 1st-time offender sentenced to less than 24 months in prison can serve probation instead of being locked up.
The fine is really no big deal for a guy like Ronaldo -- Forbes reports he pulls in around $93 mil from pro soccer and endorsement deals.
Of course, Ronaldo has other legal issues -- he's being sued in the United States by a woman who claims he raped her in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009.
Ronaldo has denied wrongdoing. Cops are still investigating.

R. Kelly Bedroom Bust at Studio is Bogus ... Denies it's His Home
-
EXCLUSIVE
- 1.6K shares
One of R. Kelly's bedrooms has him in serious trouble with Chicago officials ... but he insists they've got it all twisted, because his controversial studio has never been used as a home.
The Chicago studio, heavily featured in "Surviving R. Kelly," was swarmed this week by Chicago cops and the Cook County Building and Zoning Department -- and they ended up filing a complaint against Kelly.
The officials say there's evidence he's using the place as a residence, and had done renovations without getting permits.
1/16/19
Sources close to Kelly tell us that he's denying ever living in the studio. Although he admits having a bed in there, he says it was only there for extra long recording sessions -- 14 to 15 hours -- when he was too exhausted to make it home, or if there was a bad winter storm.
We're told he also points to the fact that he has a real residence at Chi-Town's Trump Tower.
As for the alleged renovations ... our sources say Kelly believes the studio is exactly as it was when he first started renting the space 3-4 years ago. He says the single bedroom area was already there, and he simply added furniture.
Fact is, Kelly's got bigger fish to fry than the building code violation. He and Sony, his longtime record label, just parted ways ... his ex-manager was arrested for making threats against Joycelyn Savage's family ... and he's still plagued by allegations of sexual abuse.
Kelly will get a court hearing for the violation, but at worst he'll be fined or evicted. As prosecutor Kim Foxx said ... they're actively looking for witnesses to bring criminal charges against him.

-
EXCLUSIVE
- 6.1K shares
TMZ Sports has obtained surveillance footage which shows ex-Georgetown basketball star Victor Page attacking a 17-year-old girl during a 2018 incident ... and it's extremely disturbing.
First off, 43-year-old Page is currently locked up in a Maryland jail over the 2018 incident, and he's facing several serious criminal charges, including 1st and 2nd degree attempted rape.
We spoke to a rep for the victim's family who told us that they want the video to be out publicly -- and they're hoping Page is punished to the fullest extent of the law.
Here's the backstory ...
The victim was at her family's apartment in Camp Springs, Maryland on Dec. 30 when she claims Page tried to rape her inside the home.
She tried to run ... but as you can see in the video, Page follows her outside and eventually smothers her while she's on the ground for roughly 2 minutes.
Neighbors noticed the assault, and ran over to help pry Page off the girl. When they finally got him off, the girl ran away.
The victim went to authorities and Page was arrested a few days later. He's now behind bars at Prince George's County Detention Center awaiting a hearing on Feb. 1.
He's facing a bunch of charges including 1st and 2nd degree attempted rape, attempted sex abuse of a minor, 2nd degree child abuse and more.
We've reached out to Page's attorney for comment -- so far, no word back.
Page has a long, sad history with the law -- he was sentenced to 10 years in prison for 2nd degree assault in 2013, but he was released early.
Page played with Allen Iverson at Georgetown and was a key part of the '95-'96 Hoyas team that went to the Elite Eight in the NCAA tourney. He led the Big East in scoring in the '96-'97 season.
Page left Georgetown after his sophomore year and went undrafted. He had a cup of coffee with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but never saw any NBA minutes.

2:10 PM PT -- Mason has issued a statement, saying, "Unfortunately, my accusers and their representatives have been successful at manipulating the media and now the judicial system."
He continues, "My team and I will present facts soon that will discredit any and all accusations that suggest that I have engaged in any acts of bullying, harassment, or aggressive acts against my accusers." He insists that, not only are these accusations false, but he has been "instrumental in attempts to assist my accusers in their quest to re establish a relationship with their adult daughter."
8:40 AM PT -- The judge ordered Mason to stay away from Joycelyn Savage and her family, and have absolutely no contact with them ... according to the Henry County Court Clerk.
He was released on $10k bond and has also been told he can't leave the country unless he gets court approval first.
One of R. Kelly's former managers has surrendered to authorities on charges he made terroristic threats against a family of one of the singer's alleged victims.
As TMZ first reported, Joycelyn Savage's father told us James Mason called him in May 2018, and threatened, "I'm gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I'm gonna get you, I'm going to f***ing kill you."
The Henry County Sheriff's Dept. issued an arrest warrant last August for felony terroristic threats and acts and, Friday morning, Mason turned himself in.
He was released on $10,000 bond.
Joycelyn Savage has said she is not being held against her will, but her parents firmly believed their daughter has been brainwashed and they have mounted a full-court press to free her.
The lawyer for the Savage family responded to Mason's surrender, saying, "Let this be a message to R. Kelly's staff that we won't be bullied or threatened. We will continue to pursue legal action against any and all threats to the safety of the Savage Family."
He continued, "Our goal has always been to bring Joycelyn Savage home safely and we will not be deterred."

Ice-T Law & Order: GWB ... Bridge Arrest Costs Him $700
-
EXCLUSIVE
In the criminal justice system, traffic based offenses are considered especially costly -- even for Ice-T, who plays a cop on TV, 'cause his arrest at the George Washington Bridge just cost him a bundle.
TMZ has learned Ice had a court hearing Thursday for the bust that went down in October. As we first reported, Ice was hauled to jail after he drove through the bridge toll booth without paying the required $12.50.
Well, it ended up costing him a weeee bit more than that -- $707.50 in fines! He'd been issued 5 tickets the day of the arrest, but 2 of 'em got tossed and he ended up paying for disorderly conduct, toll evasion and failure to observe a traffic control device.
Shortly after he was released from jail, Ice told us the whole thing was an innocent mistake.
He was driving to work -- to the set of 'Law & Order: SVU' -- in his brand new McLaren sports car. It had just been delivered, and Ice forgot it didn't have an E-ZPass® New York transponder, which automatically pays the toll.
Case closed.

Chris Hansen Kickstarter Donors Pissed Saw Money Trouble Before Arrest
-
EXCLUSIVE
Chris Hansen's larceny arrest is no shocker to the people who funded his "To Catch a Predator" reboot -- they say Hansen came up short with them long before Johnny Law caught him.
The former host launched a Kickstarter campaign in 2015 to start a new show about himself catching predators. His goal was $75k and he offered tiered prizes to anyone who donated.
Some of those prizes included the custom mugs and shirts Hansen got from the vendor in Connecticut -- and allegedly tried to pay for with 2 bounced checks ... leading to his arrest this week.
As it turns, out ... he apparently failed to deliver on the goods to a handful of his donors too, many of whom are furious. Chris' Kickstarter page is flooded with comments -- dating back years -- complaining about getting partial prizes, delayed prizes, or just bupkis.
$89k had been raised.
A rep for Kickstarter told us their policy is clear -- anyone who's got issues with a fundraising campaign has to take it up with the creator, and it's ALL on the creator to make things right.
Translation: Got beef? Talk to Hansen.
We've reached out to Chris, but so far ... radio silence.
