Melvin Guillard Domestic Violence Case Looms ... Amid MMA Comeback
-
Exclusive
Melvin Guillard won't exactly have the clearest head in his return to the pro MMA world this weekend ... 'cause later this month, he's due in court in his domestic violence case.
The former UFC fighter was arrested in Colorado way back in April 2018 after cops say he violently attacked his mistress after she allegedly asked when he was going to leave his wife.
Cops say the 36-year-old choked the woman repeatedly ... and said the victim was "scared he might kill her.'"
Guillard's case in the Colorado court system hasn't progressed quickly ever since he pled not guilty to the crime ... but a court official tells us it likely has something to do with his two OTHER arrests in '18.
As we previously reported, Guillard was involved in TWO separate incidents in the Denver area where he knocked out civilians. He finally cut a plea deal to close those cases earlier this summer.
Now, Guillard's domestic violence case is ready to move forward -- he has a hearing slated for August 26, just 16 days after he makes his debut in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship on Saturday in Mississippi.
A court official tells TMZ Sports Guillard is facing 2 charges in the domestic violence case -- 1 count of second degree assault and 1 count of third degree assault.
If convicted, Guillard is facing up to 18 YEARS behind bars -- so it's POSSIBLE his BKFC fight could be the last match of his career.
Guillard is scheduled to fight Isaac Vallie-Flagg in the BKFC event in the meantime this weekend.
In his UFC career, Guillard earned some big wins, including a 2010 victory over UFC stud Jeremy Stephens.

Dave Bautista Goes Scorched-Earth On Movie Theater .. Over Late Entry Refusal
-
Breaking News
Dave Bautista is PISSED -- claiming he was denied entry into a New Mexico movie theater because he arrived a few minutes late ... a violation of the place's strict no late arrival policy.
The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star hit up the Flix Brewhouse in Albuquerque ... a movie theater and brewery all in one. The place also has a policy DENYING entry to ticket holders if they arrive late to their scheduled movie.
Bautista bought tickets to a 3:15 PM showing of "Once Upon a Time In Hollywood" -- but arrived to the theater at 3:30 and was subsequently turned away. Dave claims the feature hadn't started playing when he arrived, they were still showing trailers for other flicks.
Bautista called the place out on social media ... saying, "Worse experience at a novie theater in my life. Yourr manager Tiffany needs some serious help with her people skills. You’re welcome for taking pictures with all your customers while Tiffany was treating me & @OmariHardwick just like 💩 #badbusiness"
The Flix Brewhouse responded to Dave ... saying, "We do try to protect the movie experience for our guests which is why we don't allow late arrivals. We'd welcome the opportunity to chat with you and try to make it right."
Bautista responded again ... "Policies are policies but how about treating people with some sense of courtesy!"
BUT THERE'S A TWIST -- Dave suggested the reason he was late was because he was taking pictures with fans in the lobby who recognized him.
"Maybe you can protect your guests novie experience by not allowing a photo session in your lobby while being turned away for being a minute late from the theater doors closing. I didn’t mind because I like to treat people with courtesy. But that’s just me."
Seems like a pretty valid excuse ... and guess what -- the movie theater agreed!!!
"You’re right, we could have done better. We’d like to make it right now. Is there a way we can follow up directly to do that?"
So far, no final public response from Bautista ... but seems he got the acknowledgement he was looking for.

Marshawn Lynch On-Field Confrontation W/ Camp Mom ... Caught On Video
-
Exclusive
- 1.3K shares
New video obtained by TMZ Sports shows all of the drama that led up to an intense conversation between Marshawn Lynch and football camp moms ... and everything started with a hitting drill.
At Lynch's Fam 1st Family camp in the Seattle area on July 28 ... Lynch had the kids -- some as young as 9 years old -- line up to hit each other without pads.
The exercise got pretty violent, with several kids hitting each other hard ... and throwing each other to the ground.
It appears at some point during the drill, some of the kids had objections toward the workout ... because you can see in the vid, Lynch rounds up about a dozen of them and sent them to run laps.
As we previously reported, according to one of the camp moms, Stephanie Siva, Lynch used curse words while sending the kids to run ... which caused some of them to cry.
In our new video, you can see Siva confronting Lynch about it all on the field ... throwing her son's camp shirt directly at the feet of the former NFL superstar.
Lynch tries to speak with her ... and later, you can see the 32-year-old bolting from the field and sprinting up into the bleachers to try to calm things down with Siva and other outraged parents.
The parents and their kids eventually left the camp ... and in new video we obtained, you can see Lynch grab the mic to address everyone in the crowd over the incident.
"I wanted to say I apologize to the young lady that took off," Lynch said. "She's probably ran off already. But, that is no excuse for what I got going on on this field."
"When they on this field, they belong to me. But, as soon as I'm done, you can have them back. And you can do what you going to do."
Lynch went on to conclude his camp with a sprinting competition ... and it appears the event ended without further incident.
We've reached out to Lynch's camp, but so far, no official comment on the situation.
By the way, we've included the entire, uncut 20-minute video essentially showing the whole camp -- from the drill to the conflict to the apology ... so you can see it all start to finish without edits.
The person who shot the footage (and providing commentary) was a parent who was attending the event and NOT a TMZ staffer.

UFC's Tyron Woodley Rips Colby Over 'Disgraceful' Matt Hughes Comments
-
Exclusive

Tyron Woodley is demanding Colby Covington issues a public apology for cracking jokes about Matt Hughes' near-fatal train collision accident after his fight on Saturday ... calling Colby a "disgrace."
"That ain't funny," Tyron told us in a scathing attack aimed at the welterweight star ... "That ain't a joke. [Matt Hughes] is blessed to even be here, no matter how he got on the tracks."
Of course, Matt -- a UFC Hall of Famer -- was hospitalized in 2017 when a train struck his pickup truck in Illinois. Hughes suffered a serious brain injury in the crash and says he's "not the same person anymore."
So, when Colby took the mic after beating Robbie Lawler on Saturday and referenced Hughes, it really pissed off Woodley.
"Let’s talk about the lesson we learned tonight, it's a strong lesson that Robbie should have learned from his good buddy, Matt Hughes,” Covington in the post-fight interview ... "You stay off the tracks when the train is coming through, junior."
Woodley says Covington crossed a line that he shouldn't have -- and if he continues to make comments like that, there will be serious violent consequences.
There's more ... Tyron also says he was NOT impressed with Colby's victory over Lawler because Robbie didn't put up much of a fight and hasn't been a serious threat in the UFC in years.
Tyron says he texted Dana White after the fight to clown Colby -- saying, "I wanna f*ck him up so bad."
Woodley -- the former UFC welterweight champ -- says he believes he deserves to fight the winner of Colby vs. Kamaru Usman for a shot to get his title back ... and spells out why he deserves that chance.
As for Matt Hughes, he brushed off Colby's comments essentially saying ya gotta have thick skin if you're gonna be a pro UFC fighter.

Andre Berto Tore Bicep 'Completely Off the Bone' ... I'll Be Back!
-
Exclusive Details

Boxing star Andre Berto is in pretty good spirits for a guy who suffered a major arm injury!
The 2-time former welterweight champ was in L.A. on Saturday -- the same day he was supposed to be in Brooklyn to fight Miguel Cruz ... if not for tearing his bicep during training camp.
Long story short, Berto says he was sparring and threw a solid left hook when he felt something pop. Next thing he knew, the docs had him undergo an MRI where the test showed his bicep had torn "completely off the bone."
Yeesh.
35-year-old Berto underwent surgery -- and was sporting a massive medical brace on his arm while eating lunch at il Pastaio with a lady friend.
Andre says the normal recovery is about 3 to 4 months, but he's hoping to cut that in half and return to the ring as soon as possible.

Bam Margera Celeb Boxing Judge For Bagel Boss Guy's Fight
-
Exclusive

When the angry little Bagel Boss guy makes his boxing debut in Atlantic City, there will be another jackass in the ring with him -- Bam Margera.
The "Viva La Bam" star is making a return to the public eye after a rough few months and another trip to rehab, by signing on to be the celebrity ref for Chris Morgan's fight -- against another viral star TBD -- at the Showboat Hotel on September 7.
Bam inked the deal with fighting promoter Damon Feldman. Of course, both sides agreed to it BEFORE Margera went off the rails this weekend and berated a Southwest Airlines employee and got booted from a flight.
The next morning, Bam posted a series of videos on social media pleading for Dr. Phil to help him out because his "family is in shambles," and claiming his troubles are worse than ever. No word how all of this might affect the reffing gig.
Regardless, Morgan signed on for the event last month shortly after his bagel shop antics caught the attention of the entire internet ... for better or worse. Okay, probably worse.
Despite his recent drama, Margera's not God, nor is he Morgan's father or his boss ... so he should work out just fine as the referee of his match. (If you don't get that ... watch the vid ... it's worth it.)
It's unclear what Bam's getting paid to get in the ring and watch viral stars of new and old -- like Antoine Dodson, who's also on the fight card -- slug it out, but we're told Bagel Boss guy stands to make anywhere from 5 to 6 figures ... depending on ticket sales and online streams.
Fun fact -- Bam's father, Phil, has actually fought in Damon's boxing events in the past ... so the family has a history with his company.
BTW ... Morgan's been training with UFC fighters for the upcoming event. What do you think ... will Bam be raising his hand at the end of the fight in victory?

MLB's Tyrell Jenkins Throws Punches in Crazy Brawl ... at Softball Game in TX
-

Ex-MLB pitcher Tyrell Jenkins -- a 1st round draft pick in 2010 -- threw crazy haymakers in a huge brawl during a softball game in Texas this week ... and TMZ Sports has the video.
27-year-old Jenkins was a high school superstar who was recruited to play baseball and football at Baylor ... but signed a $1.3 mil contract with the STL Cardinals instead.
He made his MLB debut in 2016 for the Braves ... and kicked around with a few teams before moving back home to coach youth baseball. He's now heavily involved in adult softball.
Fast-forward to Wednesday ... when things got intense between Jenkins' Kekambas and the opposing team, Big Pimpins, in their USA Softball District 25 game when trash talk escalated into an all-out fight.
We're told gloves were thrown, a Big Pimpins player yelled "we're ready to go when you are" ... and the fight broke out within seconds.
You can see 6'4" Jenkins -- in a red shirt -- in the middle of the brawl. It's insane.
We actually spoke with Jenkins who tells us he got involved to defend his teammate ... and only threw punches after an opponent tried to hit him in the head from behind (which was not captured in our video).
Our softball sources tell us Jenkins, along with 3 other players, received a 1-year suspension from the league for their roles in the brawl.
Two other players got 2 years suspensions.
We're told law enforcement was NOT called to the scene ... and the incident was handled internally.
Jenkins has been a MONSTER in Texas softball scene (which is insanely competitive) ... dude hits bombs.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

1-Handed MMA Star Nick Newell Bellator Contract Means Nothing ... If I Don't Win My Fight
-
Exclusive
Nick Newell is a badass MMA fighter who happens to have 1 hand ... and Bellator signed him to a fight deal -- incredible story, right??
No, not if you ask Newell ... who tells TMZ Sports the shiny new contract doesn't mean a damn thing if he doesn't punch someone and get a W.
Nick -- who at 33 years old recently signed a 1 fight deal with Bellator -- is weeks away from his debut against Corey Browning (CB once beat Kimbo's son, Kevin Ferguson aka "Baby Slice") at Bellator 225 ... and he's far from happy just having a contract.
"I’m just showing up to win, being a part of something is not good enough for me," Newell says.
"I appreciate everything Bellator's doing for me, but just like showing up and being like, 'oh my god, I got signed by Bellator,' and getting my ass whooped, is not acceptable."
The 15-2 fighter went on to say ... "For me it’s nothing until I get my hand raised. I've accomplished nothing. Just by getting signed doesn’t mean that you're a big deal or that you're good enough."
"I'm not content. I have to win. When I win, then I'll be happy. Then I'll be excited for the future. I feel like I have to earn that."
Nick's journey to Bellator has been 10 years in the making, and while he might think it's no big deal to sign with 1 of the premiere fight promotions in the country, most in the MMA world are super impressed.
Newell will get his chance to earn a win on August 24.

Don Jr. & Eric Trump Full Day of UFC Fights ... Colby Wins, Gives 'Em a Shout-Out
-
Exclusive
- 1.6K shares
3:12 PM PT -- Colby Covington just beat Robbie Lawler's ass in the Octagon, and won via unanimous decision. When he finally got a chance to gloat on the mic ... he shouted out the Trumps -- which was met with peppered boos from the crowd. It appears to be one of the first signs of semi-rejection the Trump boys were met with throughout the afternoon.
1:50 PM PT -- Colby Covington now has the full support of all the Trumps, including the President ... who just wished him good luck ahead of his fight with Robbie Lawler.
Dana White just chimed in as well. Seems like he's down with the Prez's support.
Donald Trump Jr. and his brother, Eric Trump, are getting the early bird special at the UFC fight in New Jersey this weekend -- 'cause they showed up hours before the big bout.
President Trump's sons are sitting cage-side right now at the Prudential Center in Newark for the UFC on ESPN 5 event, where welterweights Colby Covington and Robbie Lawler are facing off for the main event. Colby personally invited DTJ and co. -- they're pals.
Sources connected to the event tell TMZ Sports that Don, Eric and their brood -- which appears to include Don's GF, Kimberly Guilfoyle and at least one kid -- arrived Saturday around 10 AM PT ... an hour after the first fights kicked off at 9 AM.
Kinda interesting if you think about it -- that means the Trumps are going to presumably stick around for a bit until the Covington/Lawler fight at noon ... which makes for a jam-packed day of Octagon action. Five matches have already been decided, so you gotta imagine the Trump crew caught at least two of them, so far.
It also looks like ESPN followed through on their plan to not keep the famous family off camera -- despite backlash it may or may not spark. They're all getting a healthy amount of screen time at the moment on TV, which we were told was expected ahead of the event.
As you know, the UFC is made up of pretty diverse fighters ... and with their pops being labeled a racist of late, the Trump boys' inclusion in this event was expected to be a powder keg of sorts.
No issues so far though, from the crowd or otherwise ... hopefully it stays that way.

Bam Margera Booted from Southwest ... After Berating Airport Police
11:07 AM PT -- According to Atlanta PD, a call for service came in Friday for a dispute at the gate of an airport, which we're told appears to be related to this incident Bam was involved in here. Luckily for him, no arrests were made -- which jives with what you hear the video below. The officer says he was taking Bam to a hotel shuttle so he wouldn't get in trouble. APD also clarified that the guy in the yellow vest is not a police officer, he appears to be an airport employee.
Bam Margera was off the rails Saturday after just laying into an airport police officer, calling him an idiot and ultimately getting taken off the flight.
It's unclear what exactly happened, but it looks like Bam was wasted when he got on a Southwest flight in Atlanta and was told he was too drunk and/or obstinate to fly.
Bam told the officer he had 50 shots of tequila, and then called him an idiot for believing it ... then insisting he only had one drink.
It looks like he was taken into custody, and he just posted his therapist was flying to meet with him.
Bam has struggled with addiction and spent time in rehab. Bam's clearly been struggling recently ... most notably with a drunken public outburst at his own comedy show.
He's also been posting pics calling out his wife, Nikki and "Jackass" costar, Brandon Novak ... saying he's done with them.

A$AP Rocky I'm Never Going Back to Sweden

A$AP Rocky's saying good riddance to Sweden FOR GOOD and never looking back ... assuming everything goes according to plan.
Rocky left Sweden hours after the judges in his assault case decided to let him out of jail while they noodle on their decision, which is expected on August 14. A$AP returned to the U.S., and he won't have to return for the reading of the verdict, because it will be a written ruling.
All signs point to Rocky being acquitted. Prosecutors tried to keep him in jail pending the verdict, because they said he was a flight risk. The judges could have ordered him to stay in Sweden but they gave him the all clear to leave the country. That smells like a not guilty verdict.
Our sources say if the verdict comes in as expected, Rocky will never go back to the home of IKEA.
He never said the arrest was racially motivated -- at least not for public consumption -- but a lot of people, including his mom, think that's exactly what's behind his arrest and prosecution. As we reported, Snoop and Quavo say they had similar experiences with Swedish cops, and Snoop also said good riddance to the country.
The rapper said during his testimony he won't seek any money from the Swedish government for wrongful prosecution, because he can easily earn back his profits from canceled concerts. Smart move ... more incentive for the judges to find him not guilty.
Rocky's lawyer says he believes he did enough to show the judges his client acted in self-defense and the attack on the alleged victim was not overboard or premeditated ... as the prosecution alleged.
We'll find out on August 14, but either way ... Rocky's days in Sweden are behind him for good.

DaBaby Another Fan Beaten at His Concert ... While DB Looks On

DaBaby's concerts can be hazardous to your health ... because we got video of ANOTHER fan on the receiving end of a can of whoop ass.
The incident went down Wednesday night at the Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines, IA where the rapper was performing. We're told during the concert the fan jumped on stage to score a video with DaBaby.
Witnesses say a security guard pushed the fan into the backstage area and that's where our video begins. You see a massive dude pummeling the fan, who narrowly misses a sock to the face while on the ground. You also see DaBaby -- no shirt but plenty of neck jewelry -- enter and watch.
It's unclear if the guy doing the pummeling is venue security or part of DaBaby's crew.
The West Des Moines PD tells TMZ ...no one filed a police report.
Fans trying to score pics or vids with DaBaby at their extreme peril is becoming a thing. As we first reported ... Donald Saladin -- stage name Don Trag -- sued DaBaby after his crew was caught on video beating him to a pulp back in May outside a Massachusetts club.
Trag, who wanted a pic with the rapper, claimed the beatdown left him in a coma. Just days after that attack ... DaBaby posted video showing he was involved in the beatdown of another man who heckled him at a Louis Vuitton store.
The edited video shows the brawl erupt. It appeared 3 people were involved, but you only see DaBaby, who takes credit for the beating. As we reported ... it's unclear if DB took care of the heckler on his own. It's doubtful, though ... since DB's always surrounded by security.
We reached out to DaBaby's camp for comment, so far, no word back.

A$AP Rocky Trial In the Air, Bound for the U.S. After Release From Swedish Jail
-
Exclusive Details
- 8.5K shares
3:43 PM PT -- A$AP Rocky is about 40,000 feet above his troubles right now. He's boarded a private jet and sources tell us he is in the air, heading for U.S. soil.
1:28 PM PT -- We've just learned A$AP Rocky will NOT have to return to Sweden on August 14 for the verdict. It will be a written verdict. Of course, if he's found guilty, he'll be ordered back for sentencing, but -- because the judges have allowed him to leave the country -- all signs point to a not guilty verdict. And, speaking of leaving the country, we're told he's coming back to the U.S. of A. Friday night.
11:51 AM PT -- A$AP just posted his first social media post since turning himself in, and he wasted no time shouting out his fans, friends and "anyone across the globe who supported me."
11:34 AM PT -- A$AP Rocky was just spotted leaving court and it's crystal clear ... dude's happy as hell to be free.
10:47 AM PT -- President Trump has responded to A$AP's release ... and decided to get punny with it.
10:29 AM PT -- A$AP Rocky was just released from jail while the judges in his Swedish assault case decide his fate. The announcement in court was met with cheer from onlookers. A$AP is free to leave Sweden while they await a verdict, which is expected August 14. The other 2 defendants are also released and free to leave. Prosecutors had asked that Rocky, who's spent a month in jail, remain there because he was a flight risk, but the judges disagreed. Reading between the lines, the fact that the judges are letting him leave the country may be a sign he won't be found guilty.
8:19 AM PT -- A$AP's lawyer is now showing a photo of a large Cava bottle which prosecutors claim was used in the fight against the alleged victim. He's arguing the size and weight of the bottle is not consistent with the alleged victim's injuries ... suggesting they'd be much more serious if the bottle was used as alleged.
We've also highlighted the bottle in Rocky's hand in video of the altercation. As we've told you ... A$AP's admitted to picking up the bottle but denies using it on the alleged victim.
8:01 AM PT -- In Rocky's lawyer's closing statement ... he says nothing the rapper did was premeditated or done in a coordinated fashion with his crew and the evidence backs it up. He points out the footage of Rocky fighting with the alleged victim is a total of 6 seconds, and claims that is the whole of his involvement. He says the rapper is not responsible for the actions of others, and his actions do not amount to assault.
6:55 AM PT -- Prosecutors just asked the judges to impose a 6-month jail sentence for Rocky, saying he should be judged harshly because they say he threw a bottle at the alleged victim. They also want to keep him behind bars pending the verdict -- which could take a week -- because they say he continues to be a flight risk.
6:52 AM PT -- Swedish prosecutors said President Trump has apparently tried to intervene again in the case, demanding that Rocky and the others from his crew in custody be released to a hotel. A spokesperson for prosecutors said they received a letter from the U.S. Embassy making the demand, which the prosecutors have rejected. The spokesperson said no country has ever made such a request in the past.
A$AP Rocky got a HUGE assist Friday from 2 eyewitnesses to the beating that landed him in jail and Swedish criminal court ... because both said they were clear -- they did NOT see Rocky strike the alleged victim with a bottle.
The bottle is the centerpiece of the prosecution's case. They claim Rocky severely injured the alleged victim by hurling a bottle at him ... which they say was excessive force and unjustified. Rocky admitted Thursday he picked up a bottle but denied he ever threw it.
Andy Ruiz Joshua Training Starts In 2 Weeks ... I'm Gonna Diet!
-
Exclusive
Andy Ruiz tells TMZ Sports ... he'll begin his training camp for the Anthony Joshua rematch in just 2 WEEKS -- which means he's clearly planning on fighting AJ in December.
The reason this is interesting is because the two sides are still trying to hammer out some important details for the rematch ... most importantly, LOCATION.
Joshua wants the fight in the UK, but Ruiz says there's no way in hell he's letting that happen.
While they sort that out, Ruiz says he's going to focus on getting his body right -- which means he'll be taking it easy when it comes to his Snickers obsession.
Don't get it twisted, Ruiz is NOT looking to get shredded for the fight -- in fact, he told Joe Rogan he wants to be on the heavy side so he can carry Joshua's weight in the ring.
But, before the diet starts, Andy tells us he's still living that good life ... crushing steak and sushi at TAO restaurant in Los Angeles -- and if you see that big smile on his face, he's lovin' it!
As for the training camp, Ruiz told Rogan he doesn't plan on changing too much from the way he trained for the first Joshua fight ... lots of sprinting and cardio work ... he'll just up the intensity the second time around.
By the way, Ruiz only had ONE MONTH to prepare for Joshua the first time around -- he was a replacement fighter for Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller, who was scratched after testing positive for PEDs.
