Tyler Perry Helps Sick Man Leave MEX Hospital ... Covers $14k Tab!!!

Tyler Perry just rescued a couple who were essentially trapped in a Mexican hospital, which wouldn't let them leave until their bill was paid -- and the story is WILD!!!
Here's the deal ... Atlanta couple Tori Austin and her fiance, Stephen Johnson, were recently enjoying themselves on a cruise ... but had to get to a hospital onshore ASAP after Stephen suddenly fell ill and was diagnosed with pancreatitis, diabetes and a kidney infection.
They ended up in a Mexican hospital called Centro Medico Americano in Progreso, where he was treated with dialysis and other procedures to alleviate his near-fatal ailments.
A Mexican vacation has turned into a nightmare for this metro Atlanta couple. They say a hospital won't let them leave. NEXT AT 5:45: @JustinGrayWSB speaks with the couple about the problems they are having to come home: https://t.co/npsvpw9Bw5 pic.twitter.com/4YnjlX2TaW
— WSB-TV (@wsbtv) November 20, 2019 @wsbtv
Fast-forward to this past week, when Tori and Stephen were told they couldn't leave the hospital until their bill was paid in full -- which, at that point, had totaled up to a whopping $14,000. Their families started a GoFundMe page, but it had hardly racked up enough donations to cover them. Enter Tyler ... who heard about this and offered to pay it himself.
We've learned that Tyler tried calling up the hospital and giving them his credit card info to cover the tab entirely -- but he was rebuffed, and instead ... we're told he ended up having to wire the money, which should hopefully arrive by Monday.
Once that's taken care of, sources tell us Stephen is scheduled to be discharged by Tuesday. While there were concerns Stephen would have to be flown back in a medevac plane -- which we're told Tyler was prepared to cover too -- it turns out he's expected to be well enough to fly back commercially.
Talk about a godsend, huh?

Elon Musk Net Worth Plummets By $768 MILLION ... After Tesla Cybertruck Fiasco
5:31 PM PT -- While Elon's net worth might've taken a hit, he can hopefully rest assured that his new Cybertruck is already proving to be a hit with one of the biggest names in music.
We got Lil Uzi Vert Saturday, and asked what he made of Tesla's futuristic new ride -- this, of course, as Uzi was getting into his own behemoth of a vehicle that was very Cybertruck-esque.
Check it out -- LUV tells us he's already planning to cop the Cybertruck, despite its not-so-indestructible windows. There's a catch though ... he says he won't pay a dime for it, and has a pretty good reason as to why.
Don't feel so bad, EM -- Uzi loves it, and that's gotta mean something for the market.
Elon Musk takes risks -- and his latest cost him dearly.
Tesla's share price plunged by 6% since the close of the market Friday ... and that takes $768 million out of Musk's pocket.
There's little doubt ... the reversal of fortune is tied to Thursday night's unveiling of the Cybertruck at SpaceX headquarters in Hawthorne, CA. As we reported, Elon -- who billed his latest creation as indestructible -- wowed the crowd at first by taking a sledgehammer to the truck's door with no ensuing damage. But, then ... the chief designer took a metal ball and tossed it at one of the truck's windows and it shattered. He tried again with even less force with the same result.
It's unclear if the failed demonstration is the only reason for the stock plunge. The design of the truck has met with mixed reviews. As you can see and hear ... Eva Longoria's not a fan.
As for Elon ... fear not. Even with the hit his estimated worth is $23.6 billion. What's interesting ... there are 40 people in the world richer than that.

Kylie Jenner Cosmetics Co. Stock Hits New Month Low ... After She Sells Her Stake
-
Exclusive
- 5.5K shares
The beauty company that bought Kylie Jenner out of her majority stake took a huge hit on Wall Street in what was a bad week for top beauty brands across the board.
Coty shares are plummeting in the wake of the world's youngest billionaire's decision to sell her 51 percent stake in Kylie Cosmetics to the conglomerate. After trading closed this week, Coty stocks were down significantly to $11.53, the lowest they've been in a month.
While the loss is tough, Coty wasn't the only major beauty brand to take a hit this week. In fact, 3 of the 4 top cosmetic stocks (Coty included) took significant losses.
It's interesting ... Coty shares did pretty well Monday, moving up slightly to $12.22 after announcing they bought Kylie's majority stake for $600 million, but that trend didn't last.
After a brief initial surge, the share price kept trending down, finishing each day this week at a lower figure. Overall, Coty stock is down roughly 5.5 percent since Kylie cashed out.
Many analysts expected a surge after Coty snapped up Kylie -- but they got this one flat wrong.
Shareholders might be hurting, but Kylie's another $600 mil in the black.

Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti's rental home was burglarized in Atlanta ... and the couple told cops a massive amount of jewelry was stolen!!!
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... officers responded to a residential burglary Sunday, and Iggy told cops a thief found a way into the couple's Buckhead mansion a few days before and made off with tons of bling.
Our sources say the missing items include custom rings, chains, bracelets, pendants, watches, earrings and even a diamond engagement ring. The missing jewelry is a mix of gold, diamonds, silver, platinum, pink sapphire and rose gold.
We're told the amount of missing jewelry is worth a whopping $366,000!!!
Our sources say Iggy told cops she was alone inside the home when the burglary went down, and she heard footsteps in the house but didn't think much of it at the time. Iggy told police it was raining, and she left a back door unlocked so Playboi Carti could get in the house ... and she also told cops she thought the thief had a gun.
We're told cops have security cam footage from the night of the burglary, and video shows the suspect leaving the house with a bag in hand.

Mohamed Hadid Bel-Air Mansion is 'Clear and Present Danger' ... Judge Says Tear it Down!!!
-
Exclusive Details

Mohamed Hadid is taking a major L on what he hoped would be his $100 million Bel-Air mansion -- cause a judge says he's gotta tear down the whole thing.
The 30,000-square-foot crib, which has been dubbed the "Starship Enterprise" -- it's that big -- is unsafe for a of myriad reasons, according to the judge who ruled this week in L.A. Superior Court. In the judge's words, the mansion is a "clear and present" danger to Mohamed's neighbors.
The concern Hadid's neighbors and the city have had for years is that it's on an unstable hillside and wasn't constructed up to safety standards. The judge affirmed that in court, saying, "If this house came down the hill it would take a portion of the neighborhood with it."
A structural engineer told the court the supporting piles under the home were only driven 20 feet into the bedrock, instead of the 30 feet required by regulations. Hadid had hoped to sell the mansion for 9 figures.
Mohamed's neighbors had sued him over the construction and scored a huge victory with the judge's ruling. Demolition for the home will cost an estimated $5 million, and the judge has turned that responsibility over to a receiver named Douglas Wilson.
The judge is ordering Mohamed to pay Wilson a $500k fee, but Mohammed tells us his LLC's financing is strictly for construction, NOT demolition.
As for the judge saying the house is unsafe ... Mohamed says it "has not moved a millimeter! It has never been an imminent danger to the neighbors." He adds there were plenty of city inspectors who observed construction, which started in 2012, and he's pissed no one said anything until years later ... when he'd already spent millions.
Mohamed blames one particular neighbor, who he claims demanded $3.5 mil, or he'd report building code violations to the city. Mohamed sued him for attempted extortion, and tells us that suit is still pending.
BTW, the City of L.A. filed 3 criminal charges against Hadid for building code violations. He pled no contest and got 3 years probation on the condition he either complies with building regulations or tears it down.

Taylor Swift Vegas Thinks She'll Perform Old Hits ... And Beat Ariana At AMAs!!!
-
Exclusive
Taylor Swift is gonna tell Scooter Braun and Big Machine what's up ... by performing her old songs at the American Music Awards ... at least according to the oddsmakers.
The cyber-gambling site, SportsBetting.ag, is offering tons of prop bets on this Sunday's AMAs ... and bookies are banking on Taylor to sing the hits owned by BM, and for Swift to take home Artist of the Year over Ariana Grande.
The odds of Taylor singing stuff like "Shake It Off" are 1 to 5, meaning you gotta wager $500 to win $100. That's a pretty heavy favorite. The odds of Taylor eschewing songs from Big Machine are 3 to 1, meaning a $100 wager pays $300.
As you know ... there's some debate over Taylor's choice of songs for her big AMAs performance. She's angry at Scooter and BM over ownership of the masters from her first 6 albums. Taylor claimed BM was withholding permission for her to sing her old hits, but the label says she can perform anything she chooses during the live broadcast.
Of course, we've reported Taylor might not have enough time to rehearse her old songs. The jury is still out.
Taylor is the favorite to win Artist of the Year -- her odds are even -- while Ariana is second with 2 to 1 odds. Halsey comes in at 3 to 1, Post Malone is 7 to 2 and Drake is 4 to 1.
Taylor's also expected to go after Scooter and Big Machine during her acceptance speech for Artist of the Decade, and the odds of her saying "Big Machine" on the broadcast are 3 to 2, meaning a $200 wager pays $300.
Looks like Taylor's still making other people rich!!!

Post Malone likes to raise the stakes when he plays beer pong ... and he went home a huge winner after sinking some cups with a ton of dough on the line!!!
Here's the deal ... Post challenged his up-and-coming artist, Tyla Yaweh, to a $50,000 game of pong before their Wednesday night concert at The Forum in Los Angeles ... and Posty came out on top.
The high-stakes drinking game during the concert pre-party drew a huge celeb crowd ... with Billy Idol, Rich The Kid, Niall Horan, Mike Stud and Diplo hanging around the table as Tyla and Posty went back and forth.
The beer pong game came down to the wire, and when the dust settled, the "Beerbongs and Bentleys" rapper was $50k richer. Not a bad way to make some money.
And unlike Post's $20k NFL playoff wager with YG, this bet didn't take 9 months to collect ... Tyla sent Posty the dough over Cash App right after Post sank the last cup.

James Wiseman Cannot Accept GoFundMe Cash ... To Pay NCAA 'Fine'

Jay Williams means well, BUT those GoFundMe donations to cover James Wiseman's NCAA "fine" won't do JACK for the Memphis superstar ... 'cause the org. won't allow it.
TMZ Sports has learned ... the NCAA is aware of Jay's fundraising efforts to help satisfy Wiseman's $11,500 mandatory donation -- but our sources say Wiseman is NOT allowed to accept the money.
A mandatory listen. This is for you James Wiseman. Let’s all help. https://t.co/LQktK3UQtg pic.twitter.com/z89erD8WlH
— Jay Williams (@RealJayWilliams) November 21, 2019 @RealJayWilliams
Of course, Wiseman was suspended 12 games and forced to donate $11,500 to charity after his family accepted a loan from Penny Hardaway to help cover moving expenses in 2017.
Crowdfunding campaigns have popped on the internet to help Wiseman pay the monetary punishment ... with Williams and the Game Seven organization raising nearly $5k so far.
But, our sources tell us the GoFundMe cash won't fly with the NCAA.
As one well-placed source put it ... "Generally speaking, a GoFundMe would not satisfy a repayment requirement. The student-athlete and his or her family are responsible for making the donation, and that donation must also be in line with NCAA rules."
In other words, taking the GoFundMe money could lead to more problems for Wiseman.
The silver lining?? Those donations from Williams' GoFundMe won't be all for naught -- they'll still be going to charity ... and Wiseman will still be RICH when he gets drafted by an NBA team next year.

Candidate Andrew Yang Rips NCAA 'Let James Wiseman Freaking Play!!!'
-
Exclusive
- 1.2K shares
James Wiseman is getting support from a Presidential candidate -- with Andrew Yang saying it's "so bogus" for the NCAA to hit him with a $11,500 "fine" for accepting a loan.
"Oh my gosh, come on! Let James Wiseman freaking play," Yang tells TMZ Sports ... "We should be paying NCAA athletes on the regular instead of cutting them off!"
As we previously reported, the NCAA has suspended the Memphis basketball superstar for 12 games and told him he "must donate $11,500 to a charity of his choice."
The money part of the punishment is what's really pissing people off because Wiseman isn't allowed to accept cash gifts from people or he'll forfeit his amateur status ... and how the hell is a college kid with a full-time hoops obligation gonna make that kind of money??
"I feel for James Wiseman," Yang says ... "Happily, he's still gonna wind up a Top 5, Top 10 pick in the NBA Draft so it's gonna be okay for him but he should still be on the court right now playing."
Wiseman's family admitted to accepting an $11,500 loan from Penny Hardaway back in 2017 so they could pay for moving expenses to attend a prominent Tennessee high school.
The NCAA considered Hardaway to be a booster because he had previously donated $1 million to Memphis in 2008.
Hardaway was hired to be the head basketball coach at Memphis in 2018.
Other high-profile stars have rallied for Wiseman -- including ex-NBA player David West who told TMZ Sports the suspension is total B.S.

David West James Wiseman Suspension's Bogus ... 'Let Him Play!!!'
-

David West is pissed off at the NCAA over James Wiseman's punishment ... telling TMZ Sports the org. should be giving young players opportunities, not taking them away.
The Memphis superstar just got slapped with a 12-game suspension and $11,500 fine after the NCAA determined he accepted a loan of the same amount from Penny Hardaway in 2017 -- before he took over at UM.
We broke the news of the ruling to West outside Chin Chin in LA on Wednesday ... and he disagrees with the move.
"I'm not a fan of the NCAA, so I don't think he should've been suspended," West says. "The kid deserves opportunities. Period. I'm always gonna be in favor of the kid."
West agrees that the projected #1 overall pick in the 2020 Draft should appeal the decision because he shouldn't miss another minute of basketball ... adding he's an advocate for allowing players to be compensated.
But, the NBA champ ain't alone -- Reggie Miller went to Twitter to voice his confusion over the fine, saying, "How is the family going to pay this when they had problems moving in the first place?? Asking for a friend..."
Ex-NFL player DeAngelo Williams added, "now in order for wiseman to get the 11k+ is to now break the very rule u accused him of in the first place lmao this has to be a joke right?"
Wiseman is appealing the suspension ... so stay tuned.

Memphis Star James Wiseman Suspended 12 Games, Fined $11,500 ... Can Return Mid-January

Memphis superstar James Wiseman has been suspended 12 games and must donate over $11k to charity -- but he plans to appeal the punishment.
Wiseman, the NCAA, and Memphis has been locked in a back-and-forth battle over his eligibility for weeks after it was determined the 18-year-old violated college rules by taking $11,500 from Penny Hardaway in 2017 -- before he became Memphis head coach.
Wiseman's college career was up in the air after the suspension was handed down ... considering he's expected to go #1 overall in the 2020 NBA Draft.
But, given the new punishment ... Wiseman will be able to return Jan. 12 against South Florida.
The fight's not over, however ... Memphis released a statement shortly after the ruling.
"Based on case precedent, the circumstances of this case and other mitigating factors, the university will immediately appeal this decision."
"We expect a more fair and equitable resolution, and we will exhaust all avenues on James' behalf."
