Travis Scott's comeback is officially in full effect -- the guy just hit the Billboard Music Awards, marking his first televised gig since the Astroworld tragedy.
The rapper performed "Mafia" and "Lost Forever" Sunday at the show, in a highly anticipated moment in the show. For TS standards, the performance was very tame, mostly centered in a small room on the stage. Diddy and French Montana intro'd Travis.

As for how he was received -- fans seemed to love it, and the crowd cheered as he was introduced, and was roaring when finished up.
TS has been creeping back into public life little by little these past few months -- he made his first full-blown public performance last week in Miami ... and has been doing small sets here and there throughout 2022.
Travis also performed at Zouk Nightclub Saturday night, where he joined resident DJ Zedd.
As you know ... he's due to headline a major festival in South America later this year, so there's no doubt that this appearance on a national award show helps in that regard.
Another controversial artist that hit the stage Sunday ... Morgan Wallen. He performed two songs earlier in the show, and he too got a decent reaction from the audience.
Seems like Diddy was successful in "uncanceling the canceled."

Kourtney & Travis Tie the Knot (For Real) in SB ... Lowrider Sign 'Just Married'

Exclusive

5:21 PM PT -- Sources close to the couple tell TMZ ... yes, they got the legal paperwork in order Sunday -- so they are, in fact, married now. They're going to be having an actual wedding ceremony in Italy in the near future. We're told it's Kourt's grandma and Trav's dad in the photo with them.
Kourtney Kardashian is a married woman -- she just tied the knot with Travis Barker ... and this time, they're truly man and wife in the eyes of the law.
The couple said "I do" Sunday in Santa Barbara, where they were spotted in traditional bride and groom wear and exchanging vows on the steps of what appears to be the downtown courthouse there on Anacapa.
They had a few people around, it seems, including bodyguards and other witnesses who were on hand to keep people at bay. TB was decked out in an all-black tuxedo, and Kourtney had on a white dress that was cut short at the knees.
Their getaway ride ... a sweet-looking black lowrider convertible, which had a sign strapped to the front grill that reads "JUST MARRIED." So yeah, they're legit hitched this time.
The reason we say that, of course, is because they did a bit of a dry run last month in Vegas ... where they popped up at a wedding chapel early in the morning and exchanged vows in front of Elvis, but they didn't actually get married for realsies ... aka, no license.
We'd been told differing accounts about whether they were actually married at the time, but as it turns out -- they totally weren't. Now, they totally are ... here comes happily ever after.
Congrats!

Now that Norman Reedus is coming clean about his child's name -- after 3 years of silence -- he knows, more than most, what Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are going through with their baby naming sitch.
We got with the 'Walking Dead' star at LAX and asked about his daughter, Nova, and any words of wisdom he might have for Trav and Kylie ... who still haven't gone public with their baby boy's name.
Norman says he and partner Diane Kruger only decided to share Nova's name because she's not so little anymore ... otherwise, they'd continue keeping things as private as possible.
He also had some advice for Kylie and Travis, telling us they shouldn't feel pressure to share the name.
As we've reported, Kylie and Travis announced they were changing their baby's name a month after welcoming him to the world. They'd initially named him Wolf Jacques Webster, but later said the handle just didn't fit.
It's been about 3 months and still no word on his name, and if they take a page out of Norman's book ... it might be a looong time coming.

Justin Bieber in Concert Addresses Buffalo Mass Shooting ... Asks for Moment of Silence
Justin Bieber didn't waste time addressing the mass shooting in Buffalo while performing there this weekend -- right off the bat, he spoke on it ... making for a moving night.
The singer was in town Saturday as part of his Justice Tour, taking the stage at KeyBank Center just hours after a man allegedly gunned down at least 10 individuals in what clearly appears to be a race-driven attack ... but even amid the bloodbath, JB called for peace.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
He posted a few videos showing him talking about the massacre at a few different points in the concert, including right before he took the stage ... where he went into prayer with his team.
After that, Justin went on to perform to a packed house ... full of people who were ecstatic to see him. It sounds like before he dove into any music, though, there too he took a moment to acknowledge the tragedy ... and even called for a moment of silence from the crowd.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
As you can hear, there were still a few people hooting and hollering even during this solemn period, and Justin kinda called 'em out in his caption -- asking why they couldn't respect it.
In any case, he wasn't done addressing the shooting ... at another point in his show, he stopped to discuss people's obligation to continue to have conversations about racism ... as a means of stamping out the hatred in some folks' hearts and bringing them to the light.

He's pretty eloquent in his comments here ... and you can tell this is coming straight from the heart. The audience seemed to appreciate him being honest and poignant with them ... but when he actually started singing, they lost it -- per usual.
As you know, 18-year-old Payton Gendron was taken into custody Saturday on suspicion of first-degree murder, among other charges. He's said to have livestreamed his rampage.

Diddy, who's hosting and exec producing the show, has said he's canceling cancel culture, saying, "So one of the things I'm doing directly is uncanceling the canceled. That's breaking news because people haven't been about uncanceling. But canceling is a trend that needs to stop."
Toward that end ... he's also invited Morgan Wallen to perform. As you know, Morgan was persona non grata at last year's Billboard Awards after a video surfaced of him using the n-word.
Travis is dealing with multiple lawsuits over Astroworld, but he's clearly back performing. He's already done shows, and he's set to perform before 100,000 people later this year.

There are even more treats outside -- simply chill by the zero-edge pool and spa, or get some exercise on the in-ground trampoline or full-sized basketball court.

R. Kelly Debate on Music-Making Ability ... Sparked by Kendrick Lyric
R. Kelly's legacy is being fiercely debated amid new Kendrick Lamar lyrics that touch on the now-disgraced/convicted R&B legend -- question being ... did he make good music???
That's what Twitter's arguing about right now, this after somebody apparently responded to one of Kenny's new songs on his album, 'Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers,' in which he suggests his SO hypocritically still listens to Kelly's music -- despite, well, everything.
I wish y’all would stop saying everybody listens to R. kelly music secretly like no we don’t 😭😭😭 i promise you the music isn’t that good
— ً (@zayoIogy) May 13, 2022 @zayoIogy
Here's the original tweet from Thursday that set this whole convo off -- the user writes, "I wish y’all would stop saying everybody listens to R. kelly music secretly like no we don’t 😭😭😭 i promise you the music isn’t that good."
They went on to add ... "And if you gotta listen to it in secret that means you know it’s wrong so like where are we going from here."
The track apparently referenced is "We Cry Together," featuring Taylour Paige in a heated rap argument with Kendrick. At one point, she says ... "You the reason Harvey Weinstein had to see his conclusion //You the reason R. Kelly can't recognize that he's abusive."
To that, Ken responds in the song ... "Man, shut the f*** up, we all know you still playin' his music // Said I'm tired of these emotional-ass, ungrateful-ass bitches // Fake innocent, fake feminist, stop pretendin' // Y'all sentiments ain't realer than what you defendin'."
Back to the tweet ... tons of people responded by saying that denying R. Kelly made "good" music is absurd -- frankly, the guy has the accolades and the writing/producing credits to prove it, objectively. Fact is, yeah -- R. Kelly was without a doubt a bona fide hit-maker.
There's no shortage of stars he's written/produced for and/or with (or in many cases, all 3) -- the list consists of names like Aaliyah, B2K, Diddy, Toni Braxton, Lady Gaga, Sparkle, Maxwell, MICHAEL JACKSON, Nick Cannon, Ginuwine, The Isley Bros., WHITNEY HOUSTON, Usher, Chris Brown, Jennifer Hudson, Pitbull, Justin Bieber ... and many more.
Of course, this doesn't even touch his own personal list of hits that were wildly popular when released -- not the least of which includes 'Ignition (Remix),' 'Bump n' Grind,' 'Step in the Name of Love,' 'I Believe I Can Fly,' and countless others.
What this seems to boil down to is ... can two things be true at once, and more importantly -- can we separate the art from the artist? If so, there's simply no way anyone could argue R. Kelly didn't make good music in his heyday ... and yes, he has also done terrible things.
With that said, we'll ask the obvious -- keep in mind answers are anonymous -- but if we're being real ... are YOU still playing R. Kelly music today, despite his personal conduct???

Britney Spears I'm No Longer Expecting ... Announces Miscarriage
-
Breaking News

Britney Spears says her pregnancy has taken a tragic turn and she's no longer expecting.
Britney made the sad announcement Saturday, saying ... "We are grateful for what we have in the process of expanding our beautiful family 💝 Thank you for your support." She goes on to explain that she and Sam Asghari lost their miracle baby early in the pregnancy.
BS also says they're going to try again, and asks for privacy as well.
Five weeks ago the singer had posted a confusing story about losing weight, then gaining it back ... then taking a pregnancy test and ultimately declaring, "I am having a baby."
She'd posted a slew of nude photos in the last week, but Britney said they were all from "before there was a child inside me" -- explaining why she didn't have a baby bump in any of the shots.
Brit and Sam were in Cancun earlier this week, seemingly trying to enjoy themselves while doing some jet skiing.
Last summer, Britney famously testified, during a conservatorship hearing, she wanted to have a baby with Sam -- and since the conservatorship ended she's posted several times about having baby fever.
Of course, Britney already has 2 boys -- 16-year-old Sean and 15-year-old Jayden -- with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

Pearl Jam Our Drummer's Out with COVID ... Here's Some Locals For Ya!!!
Pearl Jam embodied "the show must go on" this week -- they found replacements for their COVID-stricken drummer ... and did so with local talent, no less.
Eddie Vedder and co. performed two packed shows in Oakland, CA this week -- one on Thursday and one on Friday -- and in both instances, he brought up skilled drummers from the area to help him and his band carry on the show in the absence of Matt Cameron.
Pearl Jam’s regular drummer got COVID. Shout out to the Bay Area music teacher sitting in on the drums at Oracle Arena. (Didn’t get his name.)
— Peter Hartlaub (@peterhartlaub) May 14, 2022 @peterhartlaub
Hope every one of his students are here tonight. pic.twitter.com/BirxwJELtT
MC recently came down with the 'rona, but Pearl Jam insisted on proceeding with the Oakland gigs -- as they'd previously pushed 'em back, and didn't wanna do it again.
So, to help them move along, they employed a couple of pros by the names of Josh Klinghoffer and Richard Stuverud to carry a majority of the load through each performance -- but for at least one song on each day, they also had some Oakland guys fill in.
The first guy was a music teacher reportedly named Josh Arroyo, who joined the band onstage for the final song, "Yellow Ledbetter," and apparently did a heck of a job.
The next night, a teenager named Kai Neukermans -- who plays in a band called The Alive -- was brought on stage to take over drumming duties midway through the performance, for the song "Mind Your Manners," and he too seemed to kill it.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
Now, before you start thinkin this was some spontaneous thing that happened all spur of the moment-like, it totally wasn't. It appears both of these amateur drummers were carefully scouted and selected beforehand ... and we imagine they had some practice runs as well.
Still, pretty sweet that they got to play a Pearl Jam concert in front of thousands of people. That'll raise your profile just a smidge ... no doubt about it.

Gunna was a busy man before surrendering to authorities in his RICO case ... carving out time to see family and making sure his business plans were in line before turning himself in.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... it was important for him to see his relatives before going to jail ... we're told he's big on family and has a lot of close relationships, especially with his mother.
Gunna also had to get his business affairs in order, because his music is really hot right now and he's got a No. 1 album in "DS4Ever" ... and it's not exactly easy to run a biz behind bars.
Before his arrest, we're told Gunna was in the middle of releasing visuals for his popular single "Banking On Me" and his focus before going to jail was tying up some loose ends with release dates, music videos and other biz affairs related to his new tunes.
As you know ... Gunna was booked on RICO charges Wednesday in Fulton County, and his lawyers are claiming he's innocent and hammering police for using his lyrics against him in a 56-page indictment.
Family and music aside, Gunna's facing some serious charges ... and our sources say he also wanted to huddle with his legal team to make sure they're all on the same page on how to prove his innocence.
Bottom line ... it was a busy week for Gunna.

Diddy Cancel Cancel Culture!!! I Support Travis and Morgan
Diddy has hopped on the newest train in pop culture ... the one canceling cancel culture.
Diddy said, "As a music family, none of us are saints; none of us are without things that happen to them in life," he told Billboard.
The mogul is exec producing and hosting the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, and he's squarely behind the org's decision to invite Travis Scott and Morgan Wallen to perform.
Diddy went on ... "So one of the things I'm doing directly is uncanceling the canceled. That's breaking news because people haven't been about uncanceling. But canceling is a trend that needs to stop."
Diddy was insistent on Scott taking the stage ... "I said, 'My brother Travis Scott has to perform.'"
He added ... "Travis went through a tragedy; Morgan [hurled the n-word] while talking to his boy. People make mistakes. Now we're moving on with love and respect for everybody that was hurt or affected. It's time to forgive."
Wallen was canceled from several awards shows last year after the incident, including the American Music Awards, but sales of his music actually rose during that period.
As for Travis ... he was sidelined for months after the Astroworld tragedy, but he's back performing and will do so in front of 100,000 people at the Primavera Sound festival later this year.
Billboard's shindig is on NBC this Sunday.
