Kevin Hart Personal Shopper Busted ... Over $1 Mil in Bogus Spending Alleged!!!

Kevin Hart's personal shopper took that title way too literally, according to prosecutors ... who say the guy swindled Kev out of more than a million bucks.

Dylan Syer was in a NYC court Wednesday for his arraignment for grand larceny and 9 other counts ... after he allegedly used Kevin's credit card info to launder cash into his own account, and then burn through it.

Queens County D.A. Melinda Katz says Syer built trust with Kevin, when he was hired in 2015, by making legit, authorized purchases on behalf of Kevin. However, Katz claims Syer started siphoning off hundreds of thousands from Hart's credit cards, depositing the dough into his own bank account.

He wasn't saving for a rainy day, either -- Syer allegedly spent lavishly on himself. All in all, prosecutors say Kevin was defrauded out of nearly $1.2 mil over nearly 2 years. Much of that was allegedly used to buy pricey jewelry, watches, art, collectibles and luxury handbags.

The D.A. says Syer's haul included 5 Patek Philippe watches worth more than $400k, a Sam Friedman painting, at least 16 Bearbrick collectible dolls, 5 KAWS collectible dolls and 2 Louis Vuitton bags.

Prosecutors are trying to seize all the booty Syer allegedly purchased, so they get back Kevin's money.

Roger Goodell No Beef With Tom Brady After Deflategate ... He's a Great Dude!!!

BOYS WITH BRADY
NFL

No hard feelings between Roger Goodell and Tom Brady after that whole Deflategate thing ... seems the two are on solid terms these days, according to the Commish.

In fact, Goodell praised his old nemesis as "probably the greatest player to ever play this game" ... and noted he's an even better guy off the field.

"He's an exceptional talent and more importantly one of the great guys," Goodell said Thursday at a Super Bowl 55 media event.

Remember, Goodell hit Brady with a 4 game suspension for his role in deflating footballs before the 2014 AFC Championship game between the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts.

Brady had adamantly denied wrongdoing -- and basically declared war on Goodell and the NFL, appealing the suspension and fighting the punishment all the way to U.S. federal court.

Ultimately, Brady waved the white flag in 2016 after a U.S. Court of Appeals sided with the NFL -- which led to the QB announcing that he would accept the suspension and sit out the first 4 games of the 2016 season.

The Patriots -- led by a pissed off Tom Brady -- won the Super Bowl that year ... and Goodell had to give Brady the MVP trophy.

So, how are things between the two now? Roger insists it's all water under the bridge.

"Tom Brady has shown that he's probably the greatest player to ever play this game. His leadership, his ability to rise to the big occasion and make everybody rise around him. That's what's absolutely incredible to me, everyone just plays better when they're with him."

Goodell continued, "I've known him for probably 15 years and he's an extraordinary guy. He's real, he cares about this game deeply, he cares about people involved with the game."

"So, for me I wish him well. I think he's gonna continue to be a great performer. I'm glad to hear he's going to play a few more years."

Wonder if the feeling is mutual??

Skiers 3 Found Dead After Massive Avalanche Buried In 20 Feet Of Snow

Tragic news -- 3 backcountry skiers in Colorado were found dead following a huge avalanche this week ... after being buried in more than 20 feet of tumbling ice and snow.

A group of 7 skiers was traveling between Silverton and Ophir when they accidentally triggered an avalanche near a well-known area called "The Nose" on Feb. 1, according to the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC).

The report says the incident happened at an elevation of approximately 11,500 feet ... and 4 members were caught up in the avalanche.

The CAIC states the group was able to find and dig out one of the missing members ... who suffered only minor injuries.

Authorities conducted search and rescue operations to find the remaining 3 skiers … but efforts were suspended after 2 days due to "considerable" avalanche danger for the safety of the search and rescue team.

Unfortunately, the 3 other skiers were found dead, according to San Juan County officials.

Eagle County and the town of Eagle released a joint statement Wednesday ... saying, "the families of Seth Bossung, Andy Jessen and Adam Palmer are allowing us to share their names, so we can all openly acknowledge their deaths and grieve together."

"The families are surrounded by loved ones, and we are asking everyone to respect their wishes as to when and how they wish to communicate with others."

A helicopter is now required to retrieve the 3 bodies due to the damage caused by the avalanche and rugged terrain ... and they will be taken to the San Juan County Coroner's office for positive identification.

Officials say the Ophir Pass has been suspended and people should continue to avoid the area.

"Avalanche danger in the backcountry is always unpredictable regardless of your avalanche knowledge and skills."

Morgan Wallen DQ'd From ACM Awards Because of Racial Slur

The fallout continues for Morgan Wallen after hurling the n-word ... he's now ineligible for any awards from the Academy of Country Music.

The org announced Wednesday it informed Wallen it put the brakes on eligibility for this year's ACM Awards. In announcing the news, the ACM said it "does not condone or support intolerance or behavior that doesn't align with our commitment and dedication to diversity and inclusion." The ACM says Wallen will have no involvement in the awards show.

The ACM Awards are slated for April 18 in Nashville. Morgan was likely to bring home several awards. He recently dropped "Sand In My Boots" and "7 Summers" ... both receiving critical acclaim and has been #1 on Billboard for 3 straight weeks.

The news of his ouster from this year's ACM Awards comes just hours after his label dropped him ... as did major radio and streaming platforms. As we reported ... iHeartRadio and Cumulus Media -- the largest and second-largest radio broadcasters respectively -- pulled the plug on him.

Pandora also stopped streaming his music and Country Music Television shelved him as well. Many of his peers denounced him after TMZ posted video of him dropping the n-word.

TMZ broke the story ... Morgan was filmed by a neighbor hurling the epithet following a rager with friends. He issued an apology and said there was no excuse for his behavior.

Morgan Wallen Denounced After Hurling Racial Slur Radio, Sirius, Label, CMT Shelve Him

UPDATE

12:06 PM PT -- A spokesperson for Emmis Communications tells TMZ ... it's yanking Morgan's music from its only country-programmed radio station, Hank FM, in Indianapolis.

UPDATE

A spokesperson for Cox Media Group also tells us effective immediately his music and content will be removed from its country-brand station playlists.

UPDATE

10:49 AM PT -- A spokesperson for SiriusXM tells TMZ ... the satellite radio company has pulled Morgan's content from SiriusXM as well as the streaming service Pandora, which Sirius owns.

UPDATE

9:39 AM PT -- The hits just keep on coming for Morgan -- now, his own record label has put him on the shelf ... saying his contract with them is on a freeze, for now.

UPDATE

Big Loud -- an independent label based in Nashville -- says "In the wake of recent events, Big Loud Records has made the decision to suspend Morgan Wallen’s contract indefinitely." They go on to say Republic Records -- which distributes his music -- is fully onboard too, adding ... "such behavior will not be tolerated."

UPDATE

It's unclear what an indefinitely suspended contract means big picture -- but it sounds like they're stopping short of dropping Morgan from their roster, and just putting any music biz of his on pause for a time.

UPDATE

CMT -- Country Music Television -- is also pulling the plug on him, saying they're removing any appearances or performances of Morgan's on their platform ... as they don't tolerate that type of language which contradicts their core values.

UPDATE

9:01 AM PT -- You can now add iHeartRadio -- the nation's largest radio chain -- to the list of platforms yanking Morgan's music. iHeart announced Wednesday it's pulling the plug on airing the disgraced country star's music in wake of his using a racial slur.

UPDATE

A spokesperson for the company, which has nearly 1,000 radio stations in the U.S., said, "In light of Morgan Wallen’s recent actions involving the use of a racial slur, we have made the decision to remove his music and content from our stations effective immediately."

UPDATE

7:45 AM PT -- Country star Mickey Guyton -- one of a small handful of well-known Black singers in the genre -- just spoke her piece about Morgan's situation ... and she gives some poignant insight, including an olive branch for Morgan himself.

UPDATE

She writes, "When I read comments saying 'this is not who we are' I laugh because this is exactly who country music is. I’ve witnessed it for 10 gd years. You guys should just read some of the vile comments hurled at me on a daily basis. It’s a cold hard truth to face but it is the truth."

UPDATE
UPDATE

Mickey goes on to say that she's often questioned why she fights to stay in an industry that has shown it hates her at times because of the color of her skin, but goes on to explain that she does so because of the proverbial bright-eyed artist ... who aspires to contribute to what Mickey characterizes as a beautiful style of music, and for whom she wants to fight.

UPDATE
UPDATE

She also wrote in a huge list of country stars she's aware of who she says are actually great people and ambassadors of the genre -- including Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley, Kacey Musgraves, Carrie Underwood, Kree Harrison, Chris Young, Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban and many, many more. Mickey finished her thoughts with a rebuke of "cancel culture" too.

UPDATE

MG says people need to be given a chance to change, including Morgan -- and hopes he sees the error in his ways ... adding that tossing someone out permanently isn't a solution.

Morgan Wallen is feeling an immediate backlash after using the n-word -- music platforms are dropping him left and right, and fellow country artists are also condemning his behavior.

The singer's music was reportedly banned from Cumulus Media overnight, which is one of the biggest radio chains for country music across the nation. A directive from the station's brass told all their affiliates to scrub anything Morgan for Wednesday's slate of programming.

The memo, obtained by Variety, reads ... "MORGAN WALLEN — EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Team, unfortunately country music star Morgan Wallen was captured on video Sunday evening using a racial slur. Effective immediately we request that all of Morgan Wallen’s music be removed from our playlists without exception. More to follow."

Many of his own peers are decrying his use of the racial slur too -- but there seem to be differences of opinion on whether this is an isolated incident or a bigger problem that's just coming to light now.

For example, country star Kelsea Ballerini wrote ... "The news out of Nashville tonight does not represent country music," to which Maren Morris responded ... "It actually IS representative of our town because this isn’t his first “scuffle” and he just demolished a huge streaming record last month regardless. We all know it wasn’t his first time using that word. We keep them rich and protected at all costs with no recourse."

1/31/21
PROFANE GOODBYE

Despite that, nobody appears to be watering down Morgan dropping the slur ... or excusing it. So, there's a united front there.

TMZ broke the story ... Morgan was filmed by a neighbor Sunday night getting rowdy with his friends, and then dropping the n-word as he made his way inside, seemingly telling a buddy to rough somebody up.

He issued an apology, saying there were no excuses for his behavior ... and promising to do better. It might be too little too late though -- which is a shame for him, because MW was the king of country this past month ... breaking streaming records, and getting tons of love.

Mickey Callaway Angels Suspend Pitching Coach Amid Accusations Of Sexual Misconduct

UPDATE

12:40 PM PT -- The Angels just announced Callaway has been suspended from the team ... and the organization will fully cooperate with MLB throughout the investigation.

UPDATE

"Late yesterday we were made aware of the allegations reported in The Athletic," the team said Tuesday. "This morning we suspended Mickey Callaway, and will work closely with MLB to conduct a full investigation."

Five women in the sports media industry say former Mets manager Mickey Callaway is a scumbag who "preyed on women" with inappropriate messages and sexual advances.

Callaway, though, said in a statement all of his actions were "consensual" and added, "my conduct was in no way intended to be disrespectful to any women involved."

The five women came forward with the allegations under the condition of anonymity to The Athletic ... detailing how the 45-year-old -- who's currently the Los Angeles Angels' pitching coach -- made them incredibly uncomfortable with calls, emails, texts and in-person advances.

One of the women, using the pseudonym Samantha, says when she was covering the Mets in 2018 ... Callaway got her phone number and proceeded to send her multiple shirtless selfies.

Samantha says at one point Callaway told her, "Now you send me one of you." The woman says she never did.

Samantha claims Callaway inappropriately massaged her shoulders while she was in the Mets' clubhouse when no one was looking ... and says for an entire month, Callaway "would text me asking for nude pics."

"He was completely unrelenting," Samantha said.

Four other women shared similar stories with The Athletic ... a New York-based reporter using the pseudonym Anne says Callaway pressured her to go on dates and often commented inappropriately on her appearance.

A reporter using the pseudonym Lauren says in a 1-on-1 interview with Callaway shortly after he was hired as Mets manager, he thrust his crotch near her face and had tried to "peacock her" by putting his leg up on a railing during the interaction.

"I got warned he was gross (beforehand)," Lauren said ... before adding, "He just preyed on women."

The three teams Callaway has worked for since 2013 all released statements regarding the allegations ... with Mets owner Steve Cohen saying, "The conduct reported in The Athletic story today is completely unacceptable and would never be tolerated under my ownership."

The Angels, who hired Callaway before the 2020 season, said, "The behavior being reported violates the Angels Organization’s values and policies. We take this very seriously and will conduct a full investigation with MLB."

The Indians, where Callaway worked as a coach from 2013-2017, added, "We were made aware for the first time tonight of the allegations in The Athletic regarding Mickey Callaway’s behavior towards women."

"We are currently reviewing the matter internally and in consultation with Major League Baseball to determine appropriate next steps. Our organization unequivocally does not condone this type of behavior. We seek to create an inclusive work environment where everyone, regardless of gender, can feel safe and comfortable to do their jobs."

MLB officials say they hadn't previously been made aware of the allegations prior to Monday's report.

For his part, Callaway's entire statement on the claims read, "Rather than rush to respond to these general allegations of which I have just been made aware, I look forward to an opportunity to provide more specific responses."

"Any relationship in which I was engaged has been consensual, and my conduct was in no way intended to be disrespectful to any women involved. I am married and my wife has been made aware of these general allegations."

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez I'm a Sexual Assault Survivor ... Jan. 6 Triggered My PTSD

I'M A SURVIVOR

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says a past trauma -- as a sexual assault victim -- is compounding her current trauma from a near-death experience during the Capitol insurrection.

AOC choked up Monday evening as she said, "I'm a survivor of sexual assault, and I haven't told many people that in my life." She only made the revelation to provide context for what she's clearly going through now.

The Congresswoman talked about the cumulative effect of multiple traumas  ... and how it gets more difficult to recover after each event. She was clearly referring to the events of Jan. 6 as a trigger for her PTSD.

She took a pointed jab at Republicans, and others, who suggest it's best to "move on" or forget Jan. 6 -- accusing them of using the same tactics abusers use on their victims.

SCARED TO DEATH

As we reported ... AOC had previously said she felt like she "was going to die" during the Capitol evacuation in a "very specific way." Monday night, she provided much more detail ... describing the moment she was hiding behind a door and heard someone enter the room, repeatedly yelling, "Where is she?!?"

She also said she was already on edge on Jan. 6, because she'd gotten numerous text messages from colleagues that week warning they'd heard something might happen -- in general, at the Capitol, and specifically to her.

AOC was online for more than 90 minutes as she poured out everything she's been feeling about that day, including a scary moment with a Capitol police officer.

She'd hinted at this with Rachel Maddow ... saying she couldn't tell good cops from the bad ones during the insurrection. Now, she's filled in the blanks on that moment, and it's a pretty terrifying picture of what she and others experienced.

Georgia Police Chief Resigns After Shocking, Racist Conversation Surfaces ... Says Slaves Had Their Needs Met

CAUGHT ON CAM
Hamilton Police Dept.

A police chief in Georgia has resigned and one of his officers was fired after video surfaced of an absolutely shocking, racist conversation in which they casually drop the n-word and say slavery met the needs of black people.

Hamilton Police Chief Gene Allmond and Patrolman John Brooks didn't realize Brooks' bodycam was recording during their racist conversation.

The patrolman talked about who he'd rather have sex with -- Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms or voting rights activist Stacey Abrams.

Then, as they repeatedly drop the n-word, the Chief discusses slavery ... "For the most part, it seemed to me like they furnished them a house to live in. They furnished them clothes to put on their back. They furnished them food to put on their table and all they had to do was f***ing work. And now we give 'em all those things and don't have to f***ing work."

The conversation took place last year ... just before a Black Lives Matter protest.

The Chief resigned and Brooks was fired after footage was obtained by WTVM TV in Columbus.

John Chaney College Hoops Legend Dead At 89

Hall of Fame basketball coach John Chaney -- the first African-American coach in college hoops history with 700 wins -- has died, according to multiple reports. He was 89 years old.

Details surrounding his death have not been released.

Chaney was an icon in the game -- especially at Temple University -- and known for his tough coaching approach and willingness to teach his players life lessons outside of the court.

Chaney coached at Temple for 24 years and led the Owls to 17 NCAA tournament appearances, reaching the Elite Eight five times. At one point, Temple made it to the tournament 12 straight times with Chaney leading the bench.

He was awarded the USBWA National Coach of the year twice (1987, and 1988) ... and finished his astounding career with a 516-253 record as the coach for the Owls.

Chaney coached several players who went on to play in the NBA -- including Eddie Jones and Aaron McKie.

Chaney was enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo Nursing Home Deaths Story is Political Attack

1/29/21
HOW IT COUNTED OUT
New York State

Gov. Andrew Cuomo's in hot water following a report claiming his administration severely undercounted COVID-related deaths in nursing homes ... but he's not backing down.

Cuomo says he understands the pain and instinct to place blame, but Friday he adamantly defended his state's Department of Health ... claiming everyone has been doing the best they can do.

He also repeated his belief that the nursing home death count issue is a political attack started by President Trump's HHS. Cuomo claims his state health dept. was following federal guidelines ... and the whole issue's become a "political football."

As for the actual death count discrepancy ... both Cuomo and his health commissioner, Dr. Howard Zucker, claim they've been transparent about how nursing home deaths were only counted if they were in-facility, and that there were additional deaths at hospitals.

Cuomo added ... the COVID-related deaths of seniors are a tragedy, regardless of where they occurred -- hospital or nursing home -- but he's not accepting blame for any alleged coverup or undercounting.

The governor's reputation took a blow Thursday when a report from the New York State Attorney General, Letitia James, suggested state nursing home deaths due to the virus were thousands higher than reported.

The Health Department later increased the public death tally of nursing home residents by 3,800 ... putting the new total at 12,743, about a 40 percent increase.

Many view the much higher statistics as a poor reflection on Cuomo's policies pertaining to the nursing home industry.

Cicely Tyson Dead at 96

Cicely Tyson, who forged a path for scores of Black actors on Broadway and in Hollywood, has died.

Tyson was a force in entertainment for decades, but in her early years she had few role models because there were few people of color who were at the top of the Hollywood game.

She won 2 Emmys for Lead Actress in 1974, for "The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman." The year before she was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for the movie "Sounder."

Tyson started her career as a model in NYC. She was on the covers of Ebony, Jet, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue. Still, her mom was none too pleased, telling her she couldn't live in the family house if she pursued entertainment. Her mom didn't speak to her for several years.

Younger audiences would know Cicely from "The Help" and "Fried Green Tomatoes."

She also made her mark on Broadway and won a Tony for Best Actress in a Play in 2013's "The Trip to Bountiful." That made her the oldest recipient ever of a Best Actress Tony.

President Obama bestowed a Presidential Medal of Freedom award to Tyson in 2016, saying, "Cicely made a conscious decision not just to say lines, but to speak out. Cicely's convictions and grace have helped for us to see the dignity of every beautiful member of the American family -- and she's just gorgeous."

Earlier in her career, Cicely starred in a play called "The Blacks." It was an off-Broadway play in the '60s and some of her co-stars were Maya Angelou, James Earl Jones and Louis Gossett Jr.

GameStop Robinhood to Allow 'Limited Buys' ... After Trading Halt

UPDATE

4:03 PM PT -- Robinhood says it will resume allowing trading Friday for GameStop, AMC, BlackBerry and the other securities it blocked Thursday ... but "limited buys" only.

UPDATE

Robinhood adds that it will "continue to monitor the situation and may make adjustments as needed."

UPDATE

In an email sent to customers Thursday evening, the financial services company acknowledges, "It's been a tough day" ... while saying its decision to temporarily halt trading was "made to best continue serving you, and was not an easy one to make."

UPDATE

Robinhood goes on to explain that its decision "was not made on the direction of any market maker we route to or other market participants."

The GameStop stock battle between retail investors and hedge fund managers has resulted in Robinhood unlisting the stock and several others ... and people are pissed.

As of Thursday morning ... Robinhood customers can no longer buy Gamestop stock on the free-trading app, thereby blocking members of the WallStreetBets forum on Reddit. Of course, that group of investors sparked the resurgence of GameStop's stock.

It also aimed to do the same for AMC, Nokia, BlackBerry, Naked Brands and a few other stocks ... but Robinhood's unlisted those too!

In making the move, Robinhood emailed customers warning of "the current volatile market conditions." The notice stated, "It’s as important as ever to be an informed investor," and included links to its investment resources.

Of course, this has infuriated customers who believe this is market manipulation favoring the hedge funds that have shorted stocks like GameStop... and hurting retail investors who are backing them.

As one person on Twitter put it ... "The free market is only free until rich people lose money."

As we reported, GameStop's stock price has surged to $350 this week -- after starting the year at $19 -- thanks to the backing of retail investors encouraged by the WallStreetBets group.

By Robinhood blocking trading on Thursday, the general feeling among the public is that the financial services company is siding with the hedge fund people on Wall Street ... and screwing over the little guy.

This could get ugly.

Deshaun Watson Requests Trade From Texans ... Despite Team's New Head Coach Hire

David Culley can NOT save the Texans' relationship with Deshaun Watson ... 'cause despite Houston agreeing to hire the new head coach, the team's superstar still wants out.

The quarterback made it clear this month, according to multiple reports ... officially demanding a trade from the org. just a few months after signing a 4-year, $156 MILLION contract extension with the team.

And, because of a no-trade clause in his deal, Watson will now get to pick where he's shipped off to if Houston's brass ultimately relents to his demands.

The issues between the 25-year-old and the Texans are well-documented at this point ... Watson wanted a big say in the team's GM and head coach hires -- and he reportedly got none of it.

In fact, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday that Watson hasn't even spoken to new Texans GM Nick Caserio since his hiring earlier this month.

Shannon Sharpe, meanwhile, said on FS1's "Undisputed" on Thursday that Watson is "willing to play hardball" in order to get out of Houston.

IT'S OVER!!!
Fox Sports

Of course, the ramifications of a trade for both the Texans and the rest of the NFL are massive ... Watson is one of the game's brightest stars -- and giving him away would cripple the Texans' org. for the foreseeable future.

Meanwhile, a trade to a team like the NY Jets or Chicago Bears could suddenly vault them into Super Bowl contention.

The Texans were a disappointing 4-12 this season after shipping superstar wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals back in March.

Tacoma, Washington Cop Runs Over Pedestrians ... Caught On Video

VIOLENT CLASH
@jasonjgauthier / Twitter

A police officer gunned his SUV into a crowd in Tacoma, Washington Saturday night, running over at least one person ... and it was all caught on video.

There were about 100 people in a street blocking an intersection ... some were in cars doing donuts and allegedly street racing. Cops were called to the scene.

The crowd surrounded one of the police SUV's and began pounding on the windows and kicking the sides of the vehicle. The PD said in a statement the officer feared for his safety ... "the officer drove forward striking one individual and may have impacted others" as he tried to get out of the "unsafe position."

As the officer guns it, you see the SUV run over someone laying in the street. Someone who watched screamed, "Oh my God, oh my God."

At least one person was taken to the hospital. That person's condition is unknown.

The incident is under investigation.

Dwayne Haskins Signs With Steelers ... Picks Symbolic Jersey Number

New year, new team, new number ... new Dwayne Haskins??

The former first-round pick just inked a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers ... in hopes of resurrecting his NFL career.

Remember, the Washington Football Team cut Haskins after several team-related issues during the season ... including COVID-19 protocol violations and attending a stripper-filled party, which he later apologized for.

The 23-year-old is getting a fresh start in the Steel City ... with the former Ohio State star officially signing on the dotted line to presumably serve as Ben Roethlisberger's backup.

Haskins addressed the move on Thursday ... sharing several edited photos of the signal-caller in his new Black and Gold threads with a #3 jersey.

Haskins -- who wore #7 with the WFT -- explained the new digit, saying, "3 in the Bible stands for restoration and eternal life. Let’s work 🙏"

Haskins has played in just 16 games since entering the league in 2019 ... throwing for a little over 2,800 yards, 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

If DH was, in fact, brought on to be Big Ben's successor, he'll have HUGE shoes to fill -- after all, the dude's a 2-time Super Bowl champ!!
