The tabloid owner who claims Thomas Markle is out to kill him just got two years of court-ordered protection from Meghan Markle's father.

According to new legal docs, obtained TMZ, a judge granted Jeff Rayner a restraining order against Thomas, who did not show up for Tuesday's court hearing.

The protective order will be in place for the next two years ... and even though TM didn't show up for the hearing, the court says Thomas was served with legal papers.

TMZ broke the story ... Jeff, the co-owner of tabloid and news agency Coleman-Rayner, claimed he was scared of what Thomas might do to him after Meghan's pops allegedly threatened Jeff in a book.

Remember ... Rayner claimed Markle vowed to kill him in an excerpt from Tom Boyer's book, "Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between The Windsors" ... wondering if Thomas might use a gun to get revenge in a longstanding beef, and claiming the alleged threat was causing stress and anxiety.

Steph Pappas' father was killed by a suspected drunk driver in Ohio this weekend -- and her mother was also injured ... this according to law enforcement.

John Pappas was pronounced dead on the scene Sunday night in Stark County after he and his wife, Kristine -- both parents to the 22-year-old YouTube star -- were struck by a driver traveling westbound ... who cops say veered into the Pappas' vehicle.

Jackson Township PD tells TMZ ... the driver is believed to have sideswiped the Pappas' car after veering off the centerline, and that there was heavy damage to the driver's side door.

First responders rushed to the scene, but officials from the Coroner's Office found John had succumbed to his injuries. Kristine was rushed to the hospital -- her condition is unknown.

Cops are saying drugs and/or alcohol are believed to be a contributing factor to the crash, however ... no arrests have been made yet. Jackson Township won't tell us what obvious signs of impairment they observed, but they do say they're investigating and collecting samples to present to prosecutors ... which they believe will lead to criminal charges.

Steph has a massive following as an up-and-coming influencer -- she has 1.4 million subscribers and hundreds of thousands of IG followers as well. She's acknowledged her father's passing online, saying she "wants my dad back."

Other influencers, like Shane Dawson, have sent their condolences.

John was 53.

Cassadee Dunlap's father was shot this week ... this after there was reportedly a mix-up on whose home he was in.

The Netflix star -- who appeared on the second season of "Cheer" -- hasn't publicly addressed the incident, but we've learned the man identified by authorities after Saturday's shooting, Ronald Dunlap, is in fact Cassadee's dad.

According to reports, cops say he's in critical condition after he somehow made his way into someone's apartment in Little Rock, seemingly by mistake, in the middle of the night ... and was shot by the homeowner.

It's unclear how or why this unfolded the way it did, but the person who shot Dunlap told authorities they heard someone banging at their door around 3 AM and then -- thinking there was a stranger in their kitchen -- fired several rounds, striking Dunlap.

Dunlap's brother, David, says he's still in the hospital and fighting for his life.

A neighbor's door was apparently also hit by bullets, but no other injuries have been reported. It does not appear any charges have been filed thus far either.

Gisele Bündchen admitted she had "concerns" over Tom Brady's unretirement this offseason ... saying she expressed them to her NFL star hubby "over and over again."

The supermodel told ELLE in a recent interview that she was worried about the violence of football. She said she also wanted Brady to "be more present" around the house and their kids.

"I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again," she said to the outlet. "But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too."

ELLE reports Gisele made the comments several weeks before she and Brady reportedly entered into a "rough patch" in their marriage -- a rift that supposedly got so bad, she briefly stopped living with the football player.

The outlet claims it reached back out to Gisele this month over the reports, but she "declined to comment on the speculation."

Of course, Gisele has said publicly that she's wanted Brady to call it quits for at least the last half-decade -- wishing he'd spend more time with the family. She's also said she doesn't believe he has anything left to prove on the field.

She did, though, appear to extend an olive branch to the quarterback before his season-opening game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, tweeting, "Let's go @TomBrady ! Let's go Bucs !"

Lorde's little sis is following in the singer's footsteps ... because she's gearing up to release her first ever track -- and it's already sounding like a certified hit.

23-year-old Indy Yelich is releasing her song, "Threads" on September 16th ... and it's the first piece of music she's ever officially put out -- needless to say this is a BIG deal for the young artist.

Clearly musical talent runs in the family... but the sisters even have a similar music style -- just take a listen.

It's unclear if Indy's signed with a label yet, but she's got the chops for the big leagues ... maybe her big sister can pull some strings and get her a deal!!!

Indy teased the track a few weeks ago on social media ... posting a clip of her singing the song while playing the piano.

"Married to Medicine: Los Angeles" star Lia Dias has a restraining order against her for allegedly threatening to kill her husband, and she got arrested after allegedly getting too close to him.

LAPD tells us Lia was arrested back in August for violating the terms of the stay away order ... and she ended up getting booked on 2 misdemeanor counts and spent a couple nights behind bars.

Our law enforcement sources tell us Lia was busted for allegedly violating the restraining order by coming within 100 yards of him and 100 yards of his Beverly Hills home.

Lia tells us she only went to the home to retrieve her mail, claiming the home had been vacant for several months. When she arrived, Lia says she saw U-Haul trucks on the property, loading up some her personal belongings.

She says her estranged husband called the cops, allegedly telling them she had a gun. She says she eventually got her belongings -- including her dead mom's jewelry -- back.

According to legal docs obtained by TMZ ... Lia's estranged husband, Colin Dias, has been getting court-ordered protection from his wife since he claimed she threatened to kill him in November before attacking him a few days later while he was shopping at a PetSmart with their two kids.

At the time, Colin alleged Lia called him up one morning and made a death threat, which he says came on the heels of her telling him she had access to firearms. He says she later attacked him at the El Segundo PetSmart in the presence of their children and got arrested for domestic violence.

Lia's supposed to keep the hell away from Colin, his home and their kids.

Jermall Charlo just scored a big win in his assault case ... prosecutors tell TMZ Sports they're dropping the felony charge against the star boxer.

According to court documents, Charlo was accused of roughing up a family member during a Sept. 5, 2021 incident in Fort Bend County, Texas. He was eventually arrested over it all back in February, and charged with felony assault.

But a spokesperson for the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office tells us they filed a motion to dismiss the case on Monday "based on the reason that we cannot prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt."

"Evidence developed in a way that did not support the charge to conclusion," the spokesperson said.

Charlo's attorney said in a statement Monday the 32-year-old was "very happy" with the decision.

"Nine witnesses came forward to say Charlo never hit his 21-year-old nephew," said Charlo's lawyer, Kent Schaffer. "Jermall is very happy. He can concentrate on preparing for his next fight now that this distraction has been removed."

Another Charlo -- Jermall's twin brother, Jermell Charlo -- is still facing legal troubles related to the case, however.

Prosecutors tell us Jermell -- who was hit with a misdemeanor charge after he was accused of telling the alleged Jermall victim during the incident, "I will kill you with my bare hands" -- is still facing a misdemeanor charge of making a terroristic threat.

Jamie Spears says the judge got it wrong ... Britney should have to sit for a deposition and answer to all of the allegations she's made about him and her time in the conservatorship.

According to legal docs, filed in the California Court of Appeals and obtained by TMZ, Jamie says it's unfair the court ruled he had to sit for a deposition while Britney can get away without having to sit for one. The docs state, "The right to take a deposition can rarely be denied. In California, discovery is a matter of right."

Jamie's legal team also argues Britney and her attorney, Mathew Rosengart, did not establish good cause to justify prohibiting her deposition ... especially given the fact she made countless claims against Jamie for wrongdoing.

Jamie says if the court had an issue with Britney's deposition, it could have limited the topics or questions covered ... but instead, it just shut her deposition down altogether.

Jamie's legal team says the one-sidedness in the trial judge's ruling violates basic fairness ... that if one party has to sit for a depo, the other party should as well.

Britney Spears says it's likely she'll never perform on stage again ... and rips her dad and her conservatorship for the trauma she went through over the years.

The singer posted -- then deleted -- her frustration on Instagram Sunday ... blasting the fact that she had no control over her music videos and photoshoots while being in her conservatorship.

She says the "so called" professional pics she got while on tour were offensive ... believing the least they could've done was touch them up.

BS says she was traumatized throughout her 13-year conservatorship ... and would rather hang it all up -- adding, "no I probably won't perform again just because I'm stubborn and I will make my point."

For those unaware, 2017 marked the last time Britney performed live, closing her Vegas residency ... of course, she recently returned to music with a collab remix of Elton John's "Hold Me Closer."

Fans were hoping BS and EJ would jump on stage together sometime soon to perform their hit ... but that sounds more like a fantasy, now.

She then points her attention to Jamie ... calling her dad out for a Pepsi ad put up in NYC that made her cry, claiming she looked 80 years old.

Gisele Bündchen appears to be back in Tom Brady's corner -- just not, at least for Sunday night, physically ... 'cause the supermodel showed love for the QB on her social media ahead of his season-opening game, but skipped being there in person for it.

Gisele penned the sweet message to the 45-year-old on her Twitter account just minutes before he kicked off his 23rd NFL season against the Cowboys in Dallas.

"Let's go @TomBrady !," she wrote. "Let's go Bucs !"

The note, while short, is a pretty big deal -- considering multiple reports stated she was so furious with Brady's decision to unretire for this season, she temporarily stopped living with him recently.

Gisele, though, did not make the trip to the game -- a rare occurrence for the 42-year-old, who's often spotted celebrating the QB's success in luxury suites at stadiums.

Brady has yet to publicly address the reported rift between him and his wife ... but he did say when talking about his training camp absence last month that he had "a lot of s*** going on" at the moment.

Britney Spears seems agitated/remorseful/hurt over the estrangement of her 2 sons, and is blaming it on Kevin Federline doing a TV interview.

Britney hopped on social media Saturday and said at one point she had physical custody of her kids more than Kevin -- when they were 6 through 9 years old.  She says she had them 70% of the time.

As we reported, the 2 kids -- 16-year-old Sean Preston and 15-year-old Jayden James -- have not seen their mom going on 6 months, and Britney says, "Since they've been gone I've honestly felt like a huge part of me has died."

This is an about-face from the anger she directed at her kids on social media, calling them "hateful," which triggered backlash.

She also said they were money-grubbing since child support payments were going to stop in a few years ... insinuating that's why they went on TV.

Custody of the 2 children has been a centerpiece of the family conflict. Before the conservatorship was established, a family law just stripped Britney of all custody and gave her supervised visitation conditioned on random drug testing.

Once the conservatorship was created and things became stable, she regained custody and it was about 50/50. Over the years, that began to wane and the kids spent way more time with Kevin than Britney.

Britney went on ... "Like literally I have no purpose anymore -- they were my joy, they were my everything. I look forward to seeing them."

William and Kate appear to have extended an olive branch to Harry and Meghan -- inviting them to Windsor Castle to take in the public tributes for the Queen.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were on hand Saturday, standing shoulder to shoulder with the new Prince and Princess of Wales as they stepped out and observed the scores of flowers and cards left by commoners outside the palace gates ... and there were a lot.

Each couple bent down and got a closer look at what the Brits had left there ... and they all seemed to be in harmony, not too distant and definitely showing solidarity in their mourning.

It's quite a sight, considering things haven't been all that great between Harry and William of late -- evidenced in the fact that they hadn't even seen each other immediately prior to the Queen's death ... when PH and MM were in and around the U.K. within a stone's throw.

Still, it appears they've put their differences aside at this most crucial time and are finally together. The crowds loved to see it too -- Harry and Meghan were especially getting a lot of attention as they shook hands and greeted folks.

Isaiah McKenzie earned major props from his fantasy owners AND his family with his TD on Thursday night ... 'cause it turns out the Bills wideout did a gender reveal for his sister right in the middle of the endzone after scoring!!

Buffalo just made the revelation in a TikTok video posted Friday morning ... showing the slot receiver actually screaming out "It's a boy!" into a camera right after recording a touchdown in the third quarter of the Bills' game against the Rams.

In the video that the Bills shared, you can see McKenzie's family watching on the TV as he revealed the news.

And, when he yelled into the lens -- they went bananas!!!

It's unclear whether Isaiah planned the gender reveal or if it was a surprise ... but his family's reaction was priceless, bringing smiles to their faces.

Kylie Jenner says her mom, Kris Jenner, was VERY hands-on during her first birth.

The beauty mogul dished the birth deets to James Corden on 'The Late Late Show' this week, talking about what Kris is like in the delivery room ... a place she has been many times over the years, for both her own children and her grandkids.

When it came to Stormi ... Kylie says Kris was playing doctor, reaching up into her birth canal and yanking the kid out. Apparently, she did this on her own ... with pros standing by.

Kris clarified that she wasn't going in barehand or anything ... sounds like she was gloved and scrubbed, so it was kosher and clean. Still, though -- it's not a walk in the park, and it seems Kris tackled it with gusto. The second time around, she was on camera duty.

Speaking of kids, Kylie says she and Travis Scott have yet to settle on a permanent name for their son -- who was named Wolf, and still is legally ... but, apparently, the parents changed their mind and opted to name him something else -- which she didn't reveal.

Congratulations are in order for Gucci Mane and his wife Keyshia Ka'Oir -- the "So Icy" couple announced Friday that their 2nd kid together is on the way.

Keyshia made the big announcement by posting a video of her surprising Gucci in bed with the positive pregnancy test -- and she also showed them at a doctor's visit getting a sonogram.

Gucci and Keyshia already share a son, Ice Davis, who was born in December 2020 ... and they've been vocal about wanting to add to their high-class household.

Earlier this year, LaFlare serenaded his wife on the aptly titled song "Mrs. Davis" ... where he rapped, "Let's have another baby/Ice needs somebody to play with."

YSL rapper Lil Keed is NOT resting in peace after his death in May ... thanks to vandals, but his brother Lil Gotit is threatening to do something about it.

Gotit vented his frustration and anger on social media, where he made a stern PSA, warning the low-down individuals who keep tampering with his brother's tomb to stop ... or else.

The Atlanta rapper said, "Whoever going to keed grave tryna unscrew him out the wall and stuff when I catch u it ain't gone be nan nice so I hope u see this message !!!!"

Keed passed away on May 13 … mere days after Young Thug, Gunna and several others were rounded up on RICO charges in Georgia. No cause of death has been revealed.

Unfortunately, this sorta creepy behavior lingers in hip-hop culture these days.
